11:1
וַיָּבֹ֣א רְחַבְעָם֮ יְרוּשָׁלַ֒͏ִם֒ וַיַּקְהֵל֩ אֶת־בֵּ֨ית יְהוּדָ֜ה וּבִנְיָמִ֗ן מֵאָ֨ה וּשְׁמוֹנִ֥ים אֶ֛לֶף בָּח֖וּר עֹשֵׂ֣ה מִלְחָמָ֑ה לְהִלָּחֵם֙ עִם־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לְהָשִׁ֥יב אֶת־הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה לִרְחַבְעָֽם׃ {פ}
καὶ ἦλθεν Ροβοαμ εἰς Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐξεκκλησίασεν τὸν Ιουδαν καὶ Βενιαμιν ἑκατὸν ὀγδοήκοντα χιλιάδας νεανίσκων ποιούντων πόλεμον καὶ ἐπολέμει πρὸς Ισραηλ τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι τὴν βασιλείαν τῷ Ροβοαμ
Venit autem Roboam in Jerusalem, et convocavit universam domum Juda et Benjamin, centum octoginta millia electorum atque bellantium, ut dimicaret contra Israël, et converteret ad se regnum suum.
ወቦአ፡ ሮብዓም፡ ውስተ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ ወአስተጋብአ፡ ኵሎ፡ ሕዝበ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወሕዝበ፡ ብንያም፡ ወኮነ፡ መክብቦሙ፡ ለዓሠርቱ፡ ወሰመንቱ፡ እልፍ፡ ወራዙት፡ ጽኑዓን፡ ወመስተቃትላን፡ ወተቃተሎሙ፡ ለሕዝበ፡ እስራኤል፡ ከመ፡ ይግብእ፡ ወያግርር፡ ወይክብብ፡ መንግሥቶ፡ ለሮብዓም።
When Rehoboam had come to Jerusalem, he assembled the house of Judah and Benjamin, one hundred eighty thousand chosen men who were warriors, to fight against Israel, to bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam.
11:2
וַֽיְהִי֙ דְּבַר־יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶל־שְׁמַעְיָ֥הוּ אִישׁ־הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים לֵאמֹֽר׃
καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Σαμαιαν ἄνθρωπον τοῦ θεοῦ λέγων
Factusque est sermo Domini ad Semeiam hominem Dei, dicens :
ወኮነ፡ ቃለ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ኀበ፡ ሳምያ፡ ብእሴ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ እንዘ፡ ይብል።
But Yahweh’s word came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,
11:3
אֱמֹ֕ר אֶל־רְחַבְעָ֥ם בֶּן־שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה וְאֶל֙ כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בִּיהוּדָ֥ה וּבִנְיָמִ֖ן לֵאמֹֽר׃
εἰπὸν πρὸς Ροβοαμ τὸν τοῦ Σαλωμων καὶ πρὸς πάντα Ιουδαν καὶ Βενιαμιν λέγων
Loquere ad Roboam filium Salomonis regem Juda, et ad universum Israël, qui est in Juda et Benjamin :
በሎ፡ ለሮብዓም፡ ወልደ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ወበሎሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ ሕዝበ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወብንያም፡ እንዘ፡ ትብል፡ ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
“Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,
11:4
כֹּ֣ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֡ה לֹא־תַעֲלוּ֩ וְלֹא־תִלָּ֨חֲמ֜וּ עִם־אֲחֵיכֶ֗ם שׁ֚וּבוּ אִ֣ישׁ לְבֵית֔וֹ כִּ֧י מֵאִתִּ֛י נִֽהְיָ֖ה הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֑ה וַֽיִּשְׁמְעוּ֙ אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ מִלֶּ֥כֶת אֶל־יָרׇבְעָֽם׃ {פ}
τάδε λέγει κύριος οὐκ ἀναβήσεσθε καὶ οὐ πολεμήσετε πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὑμῶν ἀποστρέφετε ἕκαστος εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ ὅτι παρ’ ἐμοῦ ἐγένετο τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο καὶ ἐπήκουσαν τοῦ λόγου κυρίου καὶ ἀπεστράφησαν τοῦ μὴ πορευθῆναι ἐπὶ Ιεροβοαμ
Haec dicit Dominus : Non ascendetis, neque pugnabitis contra fratres vestros : revertatur unusquisque in domum suam, quia mea hoc gestum est voluntate. Qui cum audissent sermonem Domini, reversi sunt, nec perrexerunt contra Jeroboam.
ኢትዕርጉ፡ ወኢትሑሩ፡ ወኢትትቃተልዎሙ፡ ለአኃዊክሙ፡ ግብኡ፡ ወተመየጡ፡ አሐዱ፡ አሐዱ፡ ውስተ፡ ማኅደሪክሙ፡ እስመ፡ እምኀቤየ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ነገር።
‘Yahweh says, “You shall not go up, nor fight against your brothers! Every man return to his house; for this thing is of me.”’” So they listened to Yahweh’s words, and returned from going against Jeroboam.
11:5
וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב רְחַבְעָ֖ם בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וַיִּ֧בֶן עָרִ֛ים לְמָצ֖וֹר בִּיהוּדָֽה׃
καὶ κατῴκησεν Ροβοαμ εἰς Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν πόλεις τειχήρεις ἐν τῇ Ιουδαίᾳ
Habitavit autem Roboam in Jerusalem, et aedificavit civitates muratas in Juda.
ወሰምዑ፡ ቃለ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወተመይጡ፡ ወገብኡ፡ ወኢሖሩ፡ ኀበ፡ ኢዮርብዓም።
Rehoboam lived in Jerusalem, and built cities for defense in Judah.
11:6
וַיִּ֧בֶן אֶת־בֵּֽית־לֶ֛חֶם וְאֶת־עֵיטָ֖ם וְאֶת־תְּקֽוֹעַ׃
καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν Βαιθλεεμ καὶ τὴν Αιταμ καὶ τὴν Θεκωε
Exstruxitque Bethlehem, et Etam, et Thecue,
ወሮብዓምኒ፡ ወልደ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ንጉሥ፡ ነበረ፡ ውስተ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ ወሐወፀ፡ አህጉረ፡ ጽኑዓተ፡ በብሔረ፡ ይሁዳ።
He built Bethlehem, Etam, Tekoa,
11:7
וְאֶת־בֵּֽית־צ֥וּר וְאֶת־שׂוֹכ֖וֹ וְאֶת־עֲדֻלָּֽם׃
καὶ τὴν Βαιθσουρα καὶ τὴν Σοκχωθ καὶ τὴν Οδολλαμ
Bethsur quoque, et Socho, et Odollam,
ወሐነፃ፡ ለቤተ፡ ልሔም፡ ወለኤጣም፡ ሀገር፡ ወለቴቁኤ።
Beth Zur, Soco, Adullam,
11:8
וְאֶת־גַּ֥ת וְאֶת־מָרֵשָׁ֖ה וְאֶת־זִֽיף׃
καὶ τὴν Γεθ καὶ τὴν Μαρισαν καὶ τὴν Ζιφ
necnon et Geth, et Maresa, et Ziph,
ወለቤተ፡ ሱራ፡ ወለሱለኮን፡ ወለአዶላም።
Gath, Mareshah, Ziph,
11:9
וְאֶת־אֲדוֹרַ֥יִם וְאֶת־לָכִ֖ישׁ וְאֶת־עֲזֵקָֽה׃
καὶ τὴν Αδωραιμ καὶ τὴν Λαχις καὶ τὴν Αζηκα
sed et Aduram, et Lachis, et Azeca,
ወለጌት፡ ወለመሪሳን፡ ወለዚፍ፡ ሀገር።
Adoraim, Lachish, Azekah,
11:10
וְאֶת־צׇרְעָה֙ וְאֶת־אַיָּל֔וֹן וְאֶ֨ת־חֶבְר֔וֹן אֲשֶׁ֥ר בִּֽיהוּדָ֖ה וּבְבִנְיָמִ֑ן עָרֵ֖י מְצֻרֽוֹת׃
καὶ τὴν Σαραα καὶ τὴν Αιαλων καὶ τὴν Χεβρων ἥ ἐστιν τοῦ Ιουδα καὶ Βενιαμιν πόλεις τειχήρεις
Saraa quoque, et Ajalon, et Hebron, quae erant in Juda et Benjamin, civitates munitissimas.
ወለአዶራኢም፡ ወለለኪስ፡ ወለአዜቃ፡ ሀገር።
Zorah, Aijalon, and Hebron, which are fortified cities in Judah and in Benjamin.
11:11
וַיְחַזֵּ֖ק אֶת־הַמְּצוּר֑וֹת וַיִּתֵּ֤ן בָּהֶם֙ נְגִידִ֔ים וְאֹצְר֥וֹת מַאֲכָ֖ל וְשֶׁ֥מֶן וָיָֽיִן׃
καὶ ὠχύρωσεν αὐτὰς τείχεσιν καὶ ἔδωκεν ἐν αὐταῖς ἡγουμένους καὶ παραθέσεις βρωμάτων ἔλαιον καὶ οἶνον
Cumque clausisset eas muris, posuit in eis principes, ciborumque horrea, hoc est, olei, et vini.
ወለሰራአ፡ ወለኤሎን፡ ወለኬብሮን፡ እንተ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወብንያም፡ አህጉር፡ ጽኑዓት።
He fortified the strongholds and put captains in them with stores of food, oil and wine.
11:12
וּבְכׇל־עִ֤יר וָעִיר֙ צִנּ֣וֹת וּרְמָחִ֔ים וַֽיְחַזְּקֵ֖ם לְהַרְבֵּ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד וַֽיְהִי־ל֖וֹ יְהוּדָ֥ה וּבִנְיָמִֽן׃ {ס}
κατὰ πόλιν καὶ κατὰ πόλιν θυρεοὺς καὶ δόρατα καὶ κατίσχυσεν αὐτὰς εἰς πλῆθος σφόδρα καὶ ἦσαν αὐτῷ Ιουδα καὶ Βενιαμιν
Sed et in singulis urbibus fecit armamentarium scutorum et hastarum, firmavitque eas summa diligentia, et imperavit super Judam et Benjamin.
ወአልበጠ፡ ኵሎ፡ አረፋቲሆን፡ ወሤመ፡ መሳፍንተ፡ ወአንበረ፡ ውስቴቶሙ፡ መዛግብተ፡ እክል፡ ወወይን፡ ወዘይት፡ በበሀገር።
He put shields and spears in every city, and made them exceedingly strong. Judah and Benjamin belonged to him.
11:13
וְהַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הִֽתְיַצְּב֥וּ עָלָ֖יו מִכׇּל־גְּבוּלָֽם׃
καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευῖται οἳ ἦσαν ἐν παντὶ Ισραηλ συνήχθησαν πρὸς αὐτὸν ἐκ πάντων τῶν ὁρίων
Sacerdotes autem et Levitae qui erant in universo Israël, venerunt ad eum de cunctis sedibus suis,
ወአንበረ፡ ህየ፡ ኲናታተ፡ ወአርማሐ፡ ወአስተጻንዖሙ፡ ፈድፋደ፡ ወኮንዎ፡ ሎቱ፡ ሕዝበ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወሕዝበ፡ ብንያም።
The priests and the Levites who were in all Israel stood with him out of all their territory.
11:14
כִּֽי־עָזְב֣וּ הַלְוִיִּ֗ם אֶת־מִגְרְשֵׁיהֶם֙ וַאֲחֻזָּתָ֔ם וַיֵּלְכ֥וּ לִֽיהוּדָ֖ה וְלִירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם כִּֽי־הִזְנִיחָ֤ם יָֽרׇבְעָם֙ וּבָנָ֔יו מִכַּהֵ֖ן לַיהֹוָֽה׃
ὅτι ἐγκατέλιπον οἱ Λευῖται τὰ σκηνώματα τῆς κατασχέσεως αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν πρὸς Ιουδαν εἰς Ιερουσαλημ ὅτι ἐξέβαλεν αὐτοὺς Ιεροβοαμ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ τοῦ μὴ λειτουργεῖν κυρίῳ
relinquentes suburbana et possessiones suas, et transeuntes ad Judam et Jerusalem : eo quod abjecisset eos Jeroboam et posteri ejus, ne sacerdotio Domini fungerentur.
ወካህናትኒ፡ ወሌዋውያን፡ እለ፡ በኵሉ፡ እስራኤል፡ ተጋብኡ፡ ኀቤሁ፡ እምኵሉ፡ በሐውርት።
For the Levites left their pasture lands and their possessions, and came to Judah and Jerusalem; for Jeroboam and his sons cast them off, that they should not execute the priest’s office to Yahweh.
11:15
וַיַּֽעֲמֶד־לוֹ֙ כֹּֽהֲנִ֔ים לַבָּמ֖וֹת וְלַשְּׂעִירִ֑ים וְלָעֲגָלִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָֽׂה׃
καὶ κατέστησεν ἑαυτῷ ἱερεῖς τῶν ὑψηλῶν καὶ τοῖς εἰδώλοις καὶ τοῖς ματαίοις καὶ τοῖς μόσχοις ἃ ἐποίησεν Ιεροβοαμ
Qui constituit sibi sacerdotes excelsorum, et daemoniorum, vitulorumque quos fecerat.
እስመ፡ ኃደጉ፡ ሌዋውያን፡ ምዕራፈ፡ ማኅደሪሆሙ፡ ወሖረ፡ ኀበ፡ ሕዝበ፡ ይሁዳ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም፡ እስመ፡ ሰደዶሙ፡ ኢዮርብዓም፡ ወደቂቁ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይትቀነዩ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
He himself appointed priests for the high places, for the male goat and calf idols which he had made.
11:16
וְאַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם מִכֹּל֙ שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הַנֹּֽתְנִים֙ אֶת־לְבָבָ֔ם לְבַקֵּ֕שׁ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל בָּ֚אוּ יְר֣וּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם לִזְבּ֕וֹחַ לַֽיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י אֲבוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃
καὶ ἐξέβαλεν αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ φυλῶν Ισραηλ οἳ ἔδωκαν καρδίαν αὐτῶν τοῦ ζητῆσαι κύριον θεὸν Ισραηλ καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Ιερουσαλημ θῦσαι κυρίῳ θεῷ τῶν πατέρων αὐτῶν
Sed et de cunctis tribubus Israël, quicumque dederant cor suum ut quaererent Dominum Deum Israël, venerunt in Jerusalem ad immolandum victimas suas coram Domino Deo patrum suorum.
ወሤመ፡ ሎቱ፡ ካህናተ፡ አውግር፡ ወለአምሳል፡ ወለዘከንቱ፡ ወለአምሳለ፡ ላሕም፡ ዘገብረ፡ ኢዮርብዓም።
After them, out of all the tribes of Israel, those who set their hearts to seek Yahweh, the God of Israel, came to Jerusalem to sacrifice to Yahweh, the God of their fathers.
11:17
וַֽיְחַזְּקוּ֙ אֶת־מַלְכ֣וּת יְהוּדָ֔ה וַֽיְאַמְּצ֛וּ אֶת־רְחַבְעָ֥ם בֶּן־שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לְשָׁנִ֣ים שָׁל֑וֹשׁ כִּ֣י הָלְכ֗וּ בְּדֶ֧רֶךְ דָּוִ֛יד וּשְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לְשָׁנִ֥ים שָׁלֽוֹשׁ׃
καὶ κατίσχυσαν τὴν βασιλείαν Ιουδα καὶ κατίσχυσαν Ροβοαμ τὸν τοῦ Σαλωμων εἰς ἔτη τρία ὅτι ἐπορεύθη ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς Δαυιδ καὶ Σαλωμων ἔτη τρία
Et roboraverunt regnum Juda, et confirmaverunt Roboam filium Salomonis per tres annos : ambulaverunt enim in viis David et Salomonis, annis tantum tribus.
ወአውጽኦሙ፡ እምነገደ፡ ኵሉ፡ እስራኤል፡ እለ፡ ሐለዩ፡ በልቦሙ፡ ከመ፡ ይኅሥሥዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ አምላከ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወቦኡ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ ከመ፡ ይሡዑ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ አምላከ፡ አበዊሆሙ።
So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong for three years, for they walked three years in the way of David and Solomon.
11:18
וַיִּֽקַּֽח־ל֤וֹ רְחַבְעָם֙ אִשָּׁ֔ה אֶת־מָ֣חֲלַ֔ת (בן) [בַּת־]יְרִימ֖וֹת בֶּן־דָּוִ֑יד אֲבִיהַ֕יִל בַּת־אֱלִיאָ֖ב בֶּן־יִשָֽׁי׃
καὶ ἔλαβεν ἑαυτῷ Ροβοαμ γυναῖκα τὴν Μολλαθ θυγατέρα Ιεριμουθ υἱοῦ Δαυιδ Αβαιαν θυγατέρα Ελιαβ τοῦ Ιεσσαι
Duxit autem Roboam uxorem Mahalath filiam Jerimoth filii David : Abihail quoque filiam Eliab filii Isai,
ወአፅንዑ፡ መንግሥተ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወአፅንዕዎ፡ ለሮብዓም፡ ወልደ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ እስከ፡ ሠለስቱ፡ ዓመት፡ እስመ፡ ሖረ፡ በፍናወ፡ ዳዊት፡ ወሰሎሞን፡ አቡሁ፡ ሠለስተ፡ ዓመተ።
Rehoboam took a wife for himself, Mahalath the daughter of Jerimoth the son of David and of Abihail the daughter of Eliab the son of Jesse.
11:19
וַתֵּ֥לֶד ל֖וֹ בָּנִ֑ים אֶת־יְע֥וּשׁ וְאֶת־שְׁמַרְיָ֖ה וְאֶת־זָֽהַם׃
καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ υἱοὺς τὸν Ιαους καὶ τὸν Σαμαριαν καὶ τὸν Ροολλαμ
quae peperit ei filios Jehus, et Somoriam, et Zoom.
ወነሥአ፡ ሎቱ፡ ሮብዓም፡ ንጉሥ፡ ብእሲተ፡ እንተ፡ ስማ፡ ሞላት፡ ወለተ፡ ኢያሬሙት፡ ወልዱ፡ ለዳዊት፡ ወአብያኤል፡ ወለተ፡ ኤልያብ፡ ወልደ፡ ዕሤይ።
She bore him sons: Jeush, Shemariah, and Zaham.
11:20
וְאַחֲרֶ֣יהָ לָקַ֔ח אֶֽת־מַעֲכָ֖ה בַּת־אַבְשָׁל֑וֹם וַתֵּ֣לֶד ל֗וֹ אֶת־אֲבִיָּה֙ וְאֶת־עַתַּ֔י וְאֶת־זִיזָ֖א וְאֶת־שְׁלֹמִֽית׃
καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἔλαβεν ἑαυτῷ τὴν Μααχα θυγατέρα Αβεσσαλωμ καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Αβια καὶ τὸν Ιεθθι καὶ τὸν Ζιζα καὶ τὸν Εμμωθ
Post hanc quoque accepit Maacha filiam Absalom, quae peperit ei Abia, et Ethai, et Ziza, et Salomith.
ወወለደት፡ ሎቱ፡ ደቂቀ፡ ሰማርያን፡ ወይዙሳ፡ ወለዛላም።
After her, he took Maacah the granddaughter of Absalom; and she bore him Abijah, Attai, Ziza, and Shelomith.
11:21
וַיֶּאֱהַ֨ב רְחַבְעָ֜ם אֶת־מַעֲכָ֣ה בַת־אַבְשָׁל֗וֹם מִכׇּל־נָשָׁיו֙ וּפִ֣ילַגְשָׁ֔יו כִּ֠י נָשִׁ֤ים שְׁמוֹנֶֽה־עֶשְׂרֵה֙ נָשָׂ֔א וּפִֽילַגְשִׁ֖ים שִׁשִּׁ֑ים וַיּ֗וֹלֶד עֶשְׂרִ֧ים וּשְׁמוֹנָ֛ה בָּנִ֖ים וְשִׁשִּׁ֥ים בָּנֽוֹת׃
καὶ ἠγάπησεν Ροβοαμ τὴν Μααχαν θυγατέρα Αβεσσαλωμ ὑπὲρ πάσας τὰς γυναῖκας αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰς παλλακὰς αὐτοῦ ὅτι γυναῖκας δέκα ὀκτὼ εἶχεν καὶ παλλακὰς τριάκοντα καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς εἴκοσι ὀκτὼ καὶ θυγατέρας ἑξήκοντα
Amavit autem Roboam Maacha filiam Absalom super omnes uxores suas et concubinas : nam uxores decem et octo duxerat, concubinas autem sexaginta : et genuit viginti octo filios, et sexaginta filias.
ወእምድኅረ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ነሥአ፡ ሎቱ፡ ብእሲተ፡ እንተ፡ ስማ፡ መአካ፡ ወለተ፡ አቤሴሎም፡ ወወለደት፡ ሎቱ፡ አብያሃ፡ ወኢያቲሃ፡ ወዚዛሃ፡ ወሰሎሚትሃ።
Rehoboam loved Maacah the granddaughter of Absalom above all his wives and his concubines; for he took eighteen wives and sixty concubines, and became the father of twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.
11:22
וַיַּעֲמֵ֨ד לָרֹ֧אשׁ רְחַבְעָ֛ם אֶת־אֲבִיָּ֥ה בֶֽן־מַעֲכָ֖ה לְנָגִ֣יד בְּאֶחָ֑יו כִּ֖י לְהַמְלִיכֽוֹ׃
καὶ κατέστησεν εἰς ἄρχοντα Ροβοαμ τὸν Αβια τὸν τῆς Μααχα εἰς ἡγούμενον ἐν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτοῦ ὅτι βασιλεῦσαι διενοεῖτο αὐτόν
Constituit vero in capite Abiam filium Maacha ducem super omnes fratres suos : ipsum enim regem facere cogitabat,
ወአፍቀራ፡ ሮብዓም፡ ለመአካ፡ ወለተ፡ አቤሴሎም፡ እምኵሎን፡ አንስትያሁ፡ ወእምኵሎን፡ ዕቁባቲሁ፡ እስመ፡ ዓሥሩ፡ ወሰማኒ፡ አንስተ፡ ነሥአ፡ ወዕቁባቲሁ፡ ስሳ፡ ወወለደ፡ ውሉደ፡ ዕሥራ፡ ወሰመንተ፡ አትቡዐ፡ ወአዋልደ፡ ስሳ።
Rehoboam appointed Abijah the son of Maacah to be chief, the prince among his brothers, for he intended to make him king.
11:23
וַיָּ֩בֶן֩ וַיִּפְרֹ֨ץ מִכׇּל־בָּנָ֜יו לְֽכׇל־אַרְצ֧וֹת יְהוּדָ֣ה וּבִנְיָמִ֗ן לְכֹל֙ עָרֵ֣י הַמְּצֻר֔וֹת וַיִּתֵּ֥ן לָהֶ֛ם הַמָּז֖וֹן לָרֹ֑ב וַיִּשְׁאַ֖ל הֲמ֥וֹן נָשִֽׁים׃
καὶ ηὐξήθη παρὰ πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ὁρίοις Ιουδα καὶ Βενιαμιν καὶ ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν ταῖς ὀχυραῖς καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐταῖς τροφὰς πλῆθος πολὺ καὶ ᾐτήσατο πλῆθος γυναικῶν
quia sapientior fuit, et potentior super omnes filios ejus, et in cunctis finibus Juda et Benjamin, et in universis civitatibus muratis : praebuitque eis escas plurimas, et multas petivit uxores.
ወሤሞ፡ ሮብዓም፡ ንጉሥ፡ መልአከ፡ ለአብያ፡ ወልደ፡ መአካ፡ ወሰፈነ፡ ላዕለ፡ አኃዊሁ፡ እስመ፡ ያፈቅሮ፡ እስመ፡ ሐለየ፡ ከመ፡ ያንግሦ።
He dealt wisely, and dispersed some of his sons throughout all the lands of Judah and Benjamin, to every fortified city. He gave them food in abundance; and he sought many wives for them.
11:24———
ወአብየ፡ ወዓብየ፡ እምኵሉ፡ ደቂቁ፡ ወሐነፀ፡ በኵሉ፡ በሐውርተ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወብንያም፡ አህጉረ፡ ጽኑዓተ፡ ወአንበረ፡ ውስቴቶሙ፡ እክለ፡ ብዙኀ፡ ፈድፋደ፡ ወነሥአ፡ ብዙኃተ፡ አንስተ።
