41:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַחֲרִ֤ישׁוּ אֵלַי֙ אִיִּ֔ים וּלְאֻמִּ֖ים יַחֲלִ֣יפוּ כֹ֑חַ יִגְּשׁוּ֙ אָ֣ז יְדַבֵּ֔רוּ יַחְדָּ֖ו לַמִּשְׁפָּ֥ט נִקְרָֽבָה ׃
ἐγκαινίζεσθε πρός με νῆσοι οἱ γὰρ ἄρχοντες ἀλλάξουσιν ἰσχύν ἐγγισάτωσαν καὶ λαλησάτωσαν ἅμα τότε κρίσιν ἀναγγειλάτωσαν
Taceant ad me insulae , et gentes mutent fortitudinem : accedant , et tunc loquantur ; simul ad judicium propinquemus .
ተሐደሳ ፡ መንሌየ ፡ ደሰያት ፡ እስመ ፡ ይትዌለጥ ፡ ኃይሎሙ ፡ ለመላእክት ፤ ይቅረቡ ፡ ኅቡረ ፡ ወይንግሩ ፡ ወያይድዑ ፡ ፍትሐ ።
“Keep silent before me, islands, and let the peoples renew their strength. Let them come near, then let them speak. Let’s meet together for judgment.
41:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִ֤י הֵעִיר֙ מִמִּזְרָ֔ח צֶ֖דֶק יִקְרָאֵ֣הוּ לְרַגְל֑וֹ יִתֵּ֨ן לְפָנָ֤יו גּוֹיִם֙ וּמְלָכִ֣ים יַ֔רְדְּ יִתֵּ֤ן כֶּֽעָפָר֙ חַרְבּ֔וֹ כְּקַ֥שׁ נִדָּ֖ף קַשְׁתּֽוֹ ׃
τίς ἐξήγειρεν ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν δικαιοσύνην ἐκάλεσεν αὐτὴν κατὰ πόδας αὐτοῦ καὶ πορεύσεται δώσει ἐναντίον ἐθνῶν καὶ βασιλεῖς ἐκστήσει καὶ δώσει εἰς γῆν τὰς μαχαίρας αὐτῶν καὶ ὡς φρύγανα ἐξωσμένα τὰ τόξα αὐτῶν
Quis suscitavit ab oriente Justum , vocavit eum ut sequeretur se ? Dabit in conspectu ejus gentes , et reges obtinebit : dabit quasi pulverem gladio ejus , sicut stipulam vento raptam arcui ejus .
መኑ ፡ አንሥኦ ፡ ለጻድቅ ፡ እምጽባሕ ፡ ወጸውዖ ፡ ወትትልዎ ፡ ድኅረ ፡ እገሪሁ ፤ ወያመጽእ ፡ ድንጋፄ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወነገሥት ።
Who has raised up one from the east? Who called him to his feet in righteousness? He hands over nations to him and makes him rule over kings. He gives them like the dust to his sword, like the driven stubble to his bow.
41:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ יִרְדְּפֵ֖ם יַעֲב֣וֹר שָׁל֑וֹם אֹ֥רַח בְּרַגְלָ֖יו לֹ֥א יָבֽוֹא ׃
καὶ διώξεται αὐτοὺς καὶ διελεύσεται ἐν εἰρήνῃ ἡ ὁδὸς τῶν ποδῶν αὐτοῦ
Persequetur eos , transibit in pace : semita in pedibus ejus non apparebit .
ወይዴግኖሙ ፡ ወየሐውራ ፡ እገሪሁ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ሰላም ።
He pursues them and passes by safely, even by a way that he had not gone with his feet.
41:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִֽי ־פָעַ֣ל וְעָשָׂ֔ה קֹרֵ֥א הַדֹּר֖וֹת מֵרֹ֑אשׁ אֲנִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ רִאשׁ֔וֹן וְאֶת ־אַחֲרֹנִ֖ים אֲנִי ־הֽוּא ׃
τίς ἐνήργησεν καὶ ἐποίησεν ταῦτα ἐκάλεσεν αὐτὴν ὁ καλῶν αὐτὴν ἀπὸ γενεῶν ἀρχῆς ἐγὼ θεὸς πρῶτος καὶ εἰς τὰ ἐπερχόμενα ἐγώ εἰμι
Quis haec operatus est , et fecit , vocans generationes ab exordio ? Ego Dominus : primus et novissimus ego sum .
መኑ ፡ ዘአጽንዐ ፡ ወገብረ ፡ ዘንተ ፤ ወጸውዓ ፡ ዘይጼውዓ ፡ እምፍጥረተ ፡ ዓለም ።
Who has worked and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I, Yahweh, the first, and with the last, I am he.”
41:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ רָא֤וּ אִיִּים֙ וְיִרָ֔אוּ קְצ֥וֹת הָאָ֖רֶץ יֶחֱרָ֑דוּ קָרְב֖וּ וַיֶּאֱתָיֽוּן ׃
εἴδοσαν ἔθνη καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν τὰ ἄκρα τῆς γῆς ἤγγισαν καὶ ἤλθοσαν ἅμα
Viderunt insulae , et timuerunt ; extrema terrae obstupuerunt : appropinquaverunt , et accesserunt .
ርእዩ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ዘአጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወፍርሁ ፤ ቅረቡ ፡ ወምጽኡ ፡ ኅቡረ ።
The islands have seen, and fear. The ends of the earth tremble. They approach, and come.
41:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ אִ֥ישׁ אֶת ־רֵעֵ֖הוּ יַעְזֹ֑רוּ וּלְאָחִ֖יו יֹאמַ֥ר חֲזָֽק ׃
κρίνων ἕκαστος τῷ πλησίον καὶ τῷ ἀδελφῷ βοηθῆσαι καὶ ἐρεῖ
Unusquisque proximo suo auxiliabitur , et fratri suo dicet : Confortare .
ወኵሉ ፡ ይትዋቀሥ ፡ ለእኁሁ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ይረድእ ፡ ቢጾ ፡ ወይብል ።
Everyone helps his neighbor. They say to their brothers, “Be strong!”
41:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְחַזֵּ֤ק חָרָשׁ֙ אֶת ־צֹרֵ֔ף מַחֲלִ֥יק פַּטִּ֖ישׁ אֶת ־ה֣וֹלֶם פָּ֑עַם אֹמֵ֤ר לַדֶּ֙בֶק֙ ט֣וֹב ה֔וּא וַיְחַזְּקֵ֥הוּ בְמַסְמְרִ֖ים לֹ֥א יִמּֽוֹט ׃ {ס}
ἴσχυσεν ἀνὴρ τέκτων καὶ χαλκεὺς τύπτων σφύρῃ ἅμα ἐλαύνων ποτὲ μὲν ἐρεῖ σύμβλημα καλόν ἐστιν ἰσχύρωσαν αὐτὰ ἐν ἥλοις θήσουσιν αὐτὰ καὶ οὐ κινηθήσονται
Confortavit faber aerarius percutiens malleo eum , qui cudebat tunc temporis , dicens : Glutino bonum est ; et confortavit eum clavis , ut non moveretur .
ያጸንዕ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ጸራቢ ፡ ወነሃቢ ፡ ዘይዘብጥ ፡ በሰፌልያ ፡ ወኅቡረ ፡ ይዘብጥዎሙ ።
So the carpenter encourages the goldsmith. He who smooths with the hammer encourages him who strikes the anvil, saying of the soldering, “It is good;” and he fastens it with nails, that it might not totter.
41:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאַתָּה֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל עַבְדִּ֔י יַעֲקֹ֖ב אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּחַרְתִּ֑יךָ זֶ֖רַע אַבְרָהָ֥ם אֹהֲבִֽי ׃
σὺ δέ Ισραηλ παῖς μου Ιακωβ ὃν ἐξελεξάμην σπέρμα Αβρααμ ὃν ἠγάπησα
Et tu , Israël , serve meus , Jacob quem elegi , semen Abraham amici mei :
አንተሰ ፡ እስራኤል ፣፡ ገብርየ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ዘኀረይኩከ ፣፡ ዘርአ ፡ አብርሃም ፡ ዘአፍቀርኩከ ።
“But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham my friend,
41:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֲשֶׁ֤ר הֶחֱזַקְתִּ֙יךָ֙ מִקְצ֣וֹת הָאָ֔רֶץ וּמֵאֲצִילֶ֖יהָ קְרָאתִ֑יךָ וָאֹ֤מַר לְךָ֙ עַבְדִּי ־אַ֔תָּה בְּחַרְתִּ֖יךָ וְלֹ֥א מְאַסְתִּֽיךָ ׃
οὗ ἀντελαβόμην ἀπ’ ἄκρων τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐκ τῶν σκοπιῶν αὐτῆς ἐκάλεσά σε καὶ εἶπά σοι παῖς μου εἶ ἐξελεξάμην σε καὶ οὐκ ἐγκατέλιπόν σε
in quo apprehendi te ab extremis terrae , et a longinquis ejus vocavi te , et dixi tibi : Servus meus es tu : elegi te , et non abjeci te .
ዘተመጠውኩከ ፡ እምአጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወጸዋዕኩከ ፡ እምግበቢሃ ፡ ወእቤለከ ፤ ገብርየ ፡ አንተ ፡ ወኀረይኩከ ፡ ወኢየኀድገከ ።
you whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth, and called from its corners, and said to you, ‘You are my servant. I have chosen you and have not cast you away.’
41:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַל ־תִּירָא֙ כִּ֣י עִמְּךָ ־אָ֔נִי אַל ־תִּשְׁתָּ֖ע כִּֽי ־אֲנִ֣י אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ אִמַּצְתִּ֙יךָ֙ אַף ־עֲזַרְתִּ֔יךָ אַף ־תְּמַכְתִּ֖יךָ בִּימִ֥ין צִדְקִֽי ׃
μὴ φοβοῦ μετὰ σοῦ γάρ εἰμι μὴ πλανῶ ἐγὼ γάρ εἰμι ὁ θεός σου ὁ ἐνισχύσας σε καὶ ἐβοήθησά σοι καὶ ἠσφαλισάμην σε τῇ δεξιᾷ τῇ δικαίᾳ μου
Ne timeas , quia ego tecum sum ; ne declines , quia ego Deus tuus : confortavi te , et auxiliatus sum tibi , et suscepit te dextera Justi mei .
ኢትፍራህ ፣፡ ሀሎኩ ፡ ምስሌከ ፤ ዑቅ ፡ ኢያስሕቱከ ፤ አነ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ዘአጽናዕኩከ ፡ ወረዳእኩከ ፡ ወአኀዝኩከ ፡ በየማነ ፡ ጽድቅየ ።
Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
41:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ הֵ֤ן יֵבֹ֙שׁוּ֙ וְיִכָּ֣לְמ֔וּ כֹּ֖ל הַנֶּחֱרִ֣ים בָּ֑ךְ יִהְי֥וּ כְאַ֛יִן וְיֹאבְד֖וּ אַנְשֵׁ֥י רִיבֶֽךָ ׃
ἰδοὺ αἰσχυνθήσονται καὶ ἐντραπήσονται πάντες οἱ ἀντικείμενοί σοι ἔσονται γὰρ ὡς οὐκ ὄντες καὶ ἀπολοῦνται πάντες οἱ ἀντίδικοί σου
Ecce confundentur et erubescent omnes qui pugnant adversum te ; erunt quasi non sint , et peribunt viri qui contradicunt tibi .
ናሁ ፡ የኀፍሩ ፡ ወየኀሥሩ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይትቃወሙከ ፡ ወይከውኑ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘኢተፈጥሩ ፡ ወይትሐጐሉ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ፀርከ ።
Behold, all those who are incensed against you will be disappointed and confounded. Those who strive with you will be like nothing, and shall perish.
41:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ תְּבַקְשֵׁם֙ וְלֹ֣א תִמְצָאֵ֔ם אַנְשֵׁ֖י מַצֻּתֶ֑ךָ יִהְי֥וּ כְאַ֛יִן וּכְאֶ֖פֶס אַנְשֵׁ֥י מִלְחַמְתֶּֽךָ ׃
ζητήσεις αὐτοὺς καὶ οὐ μὴ εὕρῃς τοὺς ἀνθρώπους οἳ παροινήσουσιν εἰς σέ ἔσονται γὰρ ὡς οὐκ ὄντες καὶ οὐκ ἔσονται οἱ ἀντιπολεμοῦντές σε
Quaeres eos , et non invenies , viros rebelles tuos ; erunt quasi non sint , et veluti consumptio homines bellantes adversum te .
ወተኀሥሦሙ ፡ ወኢትረክቦሙ ፡ ለሰብእ ፡ እለ ፡ ይሣቅዩከ ።
You will seek them, and won’t find them, even those who contend with you. Those who war against you will be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing.
41:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֗י אֲנִ֛י יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ מַחֲזִ֣יק יְמִינֶ֑ךָ הָאֹמֵ֥ר לְךָ֛ אַל ־תִּירָ֖א אֲנִ֥י עֲזַרְתִּֽיךָ ׃ {ס}
ὅτι ἐγὼ ὁ θεός σου ὁ κρατῶν τῆς δεξιᾶς σου ὁ λέγων σοι μὴ φοβοῦ
Quia ego Dominus Deus tuus , apprehendens manum tuam , dicensque tibi : Ne timeas : ego adjuvi te .
እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ዘአጽናዕኩከ ፡ በየማንየ ፡ ወእቤለከ ።
For I, Yahweh your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I will help you.’
41:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַל ־תִּֽירְאִי֙ תּוֹלַ֣עַת יַעֲקֹ֔ב מְתֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֲנִ֤י עֲזַרְתִּיךְ֙ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֔ה וְגֹאֲלֵ֖ךְ קְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
Ιακωβ ὀλιγοστὸς Ισραηλ ἐγὼ ἐβοήθησά σοι λέγει ὁ θεὸς ὁ λυτρούμενός σε Ισραηλ
Noli timere , vermis Jacob , qui mortui estis ex Israël : ego auxiliatus sum tibi , dicit Dominus , et redemptor tuus Sanctus Israël .
ኢትፍራህ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፣፡ ውሑድ ፡ አንተ ፡ እስራኤል ፤ አነ ፡ ረዳእኩከ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘአድኀነከ ፡ ቅዱሰ ፡ እስራኤል ።
Don’t be afraid, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel. I will help you,” says Yahweh. “Your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
41:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנֵּ֣ה שַׂמְתִּ֗יךְ לְמוֹרַג֙ חָר֣וּץ חָדָ֔שׁ בַּ֖עַל פִּיפִיּ֑וֹת תָּד֤וּשׁ הָרִים֙ וְתָדֹ֔ק וּגְבָע֖וֹת כַּמֹּ֥ץ תָּשִֽׂים ׃
ἰδοὺ ἐποίησά σε ὡς τροχοὺς ἁμάξης ἀλοῶντας καινοὺς πριστηροειδεῖς καὶ ἀλοήσεις ὄρη καὶ λεπτυνεῖς βουνοὺς καὶ ὡς χνοῦν θήσεις
Ego posui te quasi plaustrum triturans novum , habens rostra serrantia ; triturabis montes , et comminues , et colles quasi pulverem pones .
ናሁ ፡ ረሰይኩከ ፡ ከመ ፡ መንኰራኵረ ፡ ሠረገላ ፡ ዘየሐርስ ፣፡ ወትዌሥር ፡ ወታደክም ፡ አድባረ ፡ ወተሐርፅ ፡ አውግረ ፡ ወትሬስዮሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ጸበል ።
Behold, I have made you into a new sharp threshing instrument with teeth. You will thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and will make the hills like chaff.
41:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ תִּזְרֵם֙ וְר֣וּחַ תִּשָּׂאֵ֔ם וּסְעָרָ֖ה תָּפִ֣יץ אוֹתָ֑ם וְאַתָּה֙ תָּגִ֣יל בַּֽיהֹוָ֔ה בִּקְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל תִּתְהַלָּֽל ׃ {ס}
καὶ λικμήσεις καὶ ἄνεμος λήμψεται αὐτούς καὶ καταιγὶς διασπερεῖ αὐτούς σὺ δὲ εὐφρανθήσῃ ἐν τοῖς ἁγίοις Ισραηλ καὶ ἀγαλλιάσονται
Ventilabis eos , et ventus tollet , et turbo disperget eos ; et tu exsultabis in Domino , in Sancto Israël laetaberis .
ወትደምቆሙ ፡ ወያነሥኦሙ ፡ ነፋስ ፡ ወይዘርዎሙ ፡ ዐውሎ ።
You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away, and the whirlwind will scatter them. You will rejoice in Yahweh. You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.
41:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ הָעֲנִיִּ֨ים וְהָאֶבְיוֹנִ֜ים מְבַקְשִׁ֥ים מַ֙יִם֙ וָאַ֔יִן לְשׁוֹנָ֖ם בַּצָּמָ֣א נָשָׁ֑תָּה אֲנִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ אֶעֱנֵ֔ם אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֹ֥א אֶעֶזְבֵֽם ׃
οἱ πτωχοὶ καὶ οἱ ἐνδεεῖς ζητήσουσιν γὰρ ὕδωρ καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἡ γλῶσσα αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῆς δίψης ἐξηράνθη ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεός ἐγὼ ἐπακούσομαι ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ καὶ οὐκ ἐγκαταλείψω αὐτούς
Egeni et pauperes quaerunt aquas , et non sunt ; lingua eorum siti aruit . Ego Dominus exaudiam eos , Deus Israël , non derelinquam eos .
ወይትኀሠዩ ፡ ነዳያን ፡ እለ ፡ የኀሥሡ ፡ ማየ ፡ ወኢይረክቡ ፤ ወእለ ፡ የብሰ ፡ ልሳኖሙ ፡ በጽምእ ።
The poor and needy seek water, and there is none. Their tongue fails for thirst. I, Yahweh, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
41:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֶפְתַּ֤ח עַל ־שְׁפָיִים֙ נְהָר֔וֹת וּבְת֥וֹךְ בְּקָע֖וֹת מַעְיָנ֑וֹת אָשִׂ֤ים מִדְבָּר֙ לַאֲגַם ־מַ֔יִם וְאֶ֥רֶץ צִיָּ֖ה לְמוֹצָ֥אֵי מָֽיִם ׃
ἀλλὰ ἀνοίξω ἐπὶ τῶν ὀρέων ποταμοὺς καὶ ἐν μέσῳ πεδίων πηγάς ποιήσω τὴν ἔρημον εἰς ἕλη καὶ τὴν διψῶσαν γῆν ἐν ὑδραγωγοῖς
Aperiam in supinis collibus flumina , et in medio camporum fontes : ponam desertum in stagna aquarum , et terram inviam in rivos aquarum .
አነቅዕ ፡ አፍላገ ፡ በውስተ ፡ አድባር ፡ ወአፈለፍል ፡ ማእከለ ፡ ገዳም ፤ ወአበቍል ፡ ዖመ ፡ ውስተ ፡ በድው ፡ ወአውኅዝ ፡ ማየ ፡ በብሔረ ፡ ጽምእ ።
I will open rivers on the bare heights, and springs in the middle of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
41:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֶתֵּ֤ן בַּמִּדְבָּר֙ אֶ֣רֶז שִׁטָּ֔ה וַהֲדַ֖ס וְעֵ֣ץ שָׁ֑מֶן אָשִׂ֣ים בָּעֲרָבָ֗ה בְּר֛וֹשׁ תִּדְהָ֥ר וּתְאַשּׁ֖וּר יַחְדָּֽו ׃
θήσω εἰς τὴν ἄνυδρον γῆν κέδρον καὶ πύξον καὶ μυρσίνην καὶ κυπάρισσον καὶ λεύκην
Dabo in solitudinem cedrum , et spinam , et myrtum , et lignum olivae ; ponam in deserto abietem , ulmum , et buxum simul :
ወእሬስያ ፡ ለምድረ ፡ በድው ፡ ብሔረ ፡ አርዝ ፡ ወዕፀ ፡ ጴቅሳን ፡ ወመርሶንን ፡ ወቄጵርሶን ፡ ወሌውቄን ።
I will put cedar, acacia, myrtle, and oil trees in the wilderness. I will set cypress trees, pine, and box trees together in the desert;
41:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ לְמַ֧עַן יִרְא֣וּ וְיֵדְע֗וּ וְיָשִׂ֤ימוּ וְיַשְׂכִּ֙ילוּ֙ יַחְדָּ֔ו כִּ֥י יַד ־יְהֹוָ֖ה עָ֣שְׂתָה זֹּ֑את וּקְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּרָאָֽהּ ׃ {פ}
ἵνα ἴδωσιν καὶ γνῶσιν καὶ ἐννοηθῶσιν καὶ ἐπιστῶνται ἅμα ὅτι χεὶρ κυρίου ἐποίησεν ταῦτα πάντα καὶ ὁ ἅγιος τοῦ Ισραηλ κατέδειξεν
ut videant , et sciant , et recogitent , et intelligant pariter , quia manus Domini fecit hoc , et Sanctus Israël creavit illud .
ከመ ፡ ያእምሩ ፡ ወይለብዉ ፡ ወይጠይቁ ፡ ወይእመኑ ፡ ከመ ፡ እደ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ገብረ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ወቅዱሰ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ አርአየ ።
that they may see, know, consider, and understand together, that Yahweh’s hand has done this, and the Holy One of Israel has created it.
41:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ קָרְב֥וּ רִֽיבְכֶ֖ם יֹאמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה הַגִּ֙ישׁוּ֙ עֲצֻמ֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם יֹאמַ֖ר מֶ֥לֶךְ יַעֲקֹֽב ׃
ἐγγίζει ἡ κρίσις ὑμῶν λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός ἤγγισαν αἱ βουλαὶ ὑμῶν λέγει ὁ βασιλεὺς Ιακωβ
Prope facite judicium vestrum , dicit Dominus ; Afferte , si quid forte habetis , dicit rex Jacob .
ወአልጸቀት ፡ ኵነኔክሙ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክ ፤ ወቀርበ ፡ ምክርክሙ ፡ ይቤ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ያዕቆብ ።
Produce your cause,” says Yahweh. “Bring out your strong reasons!” says the King of Jacob.
41:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ יַגִּ֙ישׁוּ֙ וְיַגִּ֣ידוּ לָ֔נוּ אֵ֖ת אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּקְרֶ֑ינָה הָרִאשֹׁנ֣וֹת ׀ מָ֣ה הֵ֗נָּה הַגִּ֜ידוּ וְנָשִׂ֤ימָה לִבֵּ֙נוּ֙ וְנֵדְעָ֣ה אַחֲרִיתָ֔ן א֥וֹ הַבָּא֖וֹת הַשְׁמִיעֻֽנוּ ׃
ἐγγισάτωσαν καὶ ἀναγγειλάτωσαν ὑμῖν ἃ συμβήσεται ἢ τὰ πρότερα τίνα ἦν εἴπατε καὶ ἐπιστήσομεν τὸν νοῦν καὶ γνωσόμεθα τί τὰ ἔσχατα καὶ τὰ ἐπερχόμενα εἴπατε ἡμῖν
Accedant , et nuntient nobis quaecumque ventura sunt ; priora quae fuerunt , nuntiate , et ponemus cor nostrum , et sciemus novissima eorum ; et quae ventura sunt , indicate nobis .
በጽሐክሙ ፡ ዘይረክበክሙ ፣፡ ንግሩኒ ፡ ዘቀዲሙ ፡ ወናእምር ፡ ዘትሔልዩ ፡ ወናእምር ፡ ደኃሪተክሙ ።
“Let them announce and declare to us what will happen! Declare the former things, what they are, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or show us things to come.
41:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַגִּ֙ידוּ֙ הָאֹתִיּ֣וֹת לְאָח֔וֹר וְנֵ֣דְעָ֔ה כִּ֥י אֱלֹהִ֖ים אַתֶּ֑ם אַף ־תֵּיטִ֣יבוּ וְתָרֵ֔עוּ וְנִשְׁתָּ֖עָה (ונרא ) [וְנִרְאֶ֥ה ] יַחְדָּֽו ׃
ἀναγγείλατε ἡμῖν τὰ ἐπερχόμενα ἐπ’ ἐσχάτου καὶ γνωσόμεθα ὅτι θεοί ἐστε εὖ ποιήσατε καὶ κακώσατε καὶ θαυμασόμεθα καὶ ὀψόμεθα ἅμα
Annuntiate quae ventura sunt in futurum , et sciemus quia dii estis vos ; bene quoque aut male , si potestis , facite , et loquamur et videamus simul .
ወንግሩነ ፡ ዘይመጽእ ፡ ወዘይከውን ፡ በደኃሪት ፡ ወናእምር ፡ ከመ ፡ አማልክት ፡ አንትሙ ፤ አሠንዩ ፡ ወአሕሥሙ ፡ ወናንክርክሙ ፡ ወንጠይቅ ፡ ወናእምር ።
Declare the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods. Yes, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and see it together.
41:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ הֵן ־אַתֶּ֣ם מֵאַ֔יִן וּפׇעׇלְכֶ֖ם מֵאָ֑פַע תּוֹעֵבָ֖ה יִבְחַ֥ר בָּכֶֽם ׃ {פ}
ὅτι πόθεν ἐστὲ ὑμεῖς καὶ πόθεν ἡ ἐργασία ὑμῶν ἐκ γῆς βδέλυγμα ἐξελέξαντο ὑμᾶς
Ecce vos estis ex nihilo , et opus vestrum ex eo quod non est : abominatio est qui elegit vos .
እምአይቴ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ ወእምአይቴ ፡ ግብርክሙ ፤ አኮኑ ፡ እምድር ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ኀረዩክሙ ።
Behold, you are nothing, and your work is nothing. He who chooses you is an abomination.
41:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַעִיר֤וֹתִי מִצָּפוֹן֙ וַיַּ֔את מִמִּזְרַח ־שֶׁ֖מֶשׁ יִקְרָ֣א בִשְׁמִ֑י וְיָבֹ֤א סְגָנִים֙ כְּמוֹ ־חֹ֔מֶר וּכְמ֥וֹ יוֹצֵ֖ר יִרְמׇס ־טִֽיט ׃
ἐγὼ δὲ ἤγειρα τὸν ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ τὸν ἀφ’ ἡλίου ἀνατολῶν κληθήσονται τῷ ὀνόματί μου ἐρχέσθωσαν ἄρχοντες καὶ ὡς πηλὸς κεραμέως καὶ ὡς κεραμεὺς καταπατῶν τὸν πηλόν οὕτως καταπατηθήσεσθε
Suscitavi ab aquilone , et veniet ab ortu solis : vocabit nomen meum , et adducet magistratus quasi lutum , et velut plastes conculcans humum .
ወአንሰ ፡ አንሣእኩ ፡ ዘእምደቡብ ፡ ወዘእምሥራቀ ፡ ፀሐይ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሰመዩ ፡ በስምየ ።
“I have raised up one from the north, and he has come, from the rising of the sun, one who calls on my name, and he shall come on rulers as on mortar, and as the potter treads clay.
41:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִֽי ־הִגִּ֤יד מֵרֹאשׁ֙ וְנֵדָ֔עָה וּמִלְּפָנִ֖ים וְנֹאמַ֣ר צַדִּ֑יק אַ֣ף אֵין ־מַגִּ֗יד אַ֚ף אֵ֣ין מַשְׁמִ֔יעַ אַ֥ף אֵין ־שֹׁמֵ֖עַ אִמְרֵיכֶֽם ׃
τίς γὰρ ἀναγγελεῖ τὰ ἐξ ἀρχῆς ἵνα γνῶμεν καὶ τὰ ἔμπροσθεν καὶ ἐροῦμεν ὅτι ἀληθῆ ἐστιν οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ προλέγων οὐδὲ ὁ ἀκούων ὑμῶν τοὺς λόγους
Quis annuntiavit ab exordio ut sciamus , et a principio ut dicamus : Justus es ? Non est neque annuntians , neque praedicens , neque audiens sermones vestros .
መኑ ፡ ዘይዜኑ ፡ ዘትካት ፡ ከመ ፡ ናእምር ፡ ዘእምቅድሜሁ ፤ ወንበል ፤ እሙን ፡ ውእቱ ።
Who has declared it from the beginning, that we may know? and before, that we may say, ‘He is right’? Surely, there is no one who declares. Surely, there is no one who shows. Surely, there is no one who hears your words.
41:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ רִאשׁ֥וֹן לְצִיּ֖וֹן הִנֵּ֣ה הִנָּ֑ם וְלִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם מְבַשֵּׂ֥ר אֶתֵּֽן ׃
ἀρχὴν Σιων δώσω καὶ Ιερουσαλημ παρακαλέσω εἰς ὁδόν
Primus ad Sion dicet : Ecce adsunt , et Jerusalem evangelistam dabo .
ቀዳሚ ፡ እሁባ ፡ ለጽዮን ፡ ወአገብኣ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፍኖታ ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ።
I am the first to say to Zion, ‘Behold, look at them;’ and I will give one who brings good news to Jerusalem.
41:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵ֙רֶא֙ וְאֵ֣ין אִ֔ישׁ וּמֵאֵ֖לֶּה וְאֵ֣ין יוֹעֵ֑ץ וְאֶשְׁאָלֵ֖ם וְיָשִׁ֥יבוּ דָבָֽר ׃
ἀπὸ γὰρ τῶν ἐθνῶν ἰδοὺ οὐδείς καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν εἰδώλων αὐτῶν οὐκ ἦν ὁ ἀναγγέλλων καὶ ἐὰν ἐρωτήσω αὐτούς πόθεν ἐστέ οὐ μὴ ἀποκριθῶσίν μοι
Et vidi , et non erat neque ex istis quisquam qui iniret consilium , et interrogatus responderet verbum .
እስመ ፡ አልቦ ፡ እምአሕዛብ ፡ ወእምአማልክቲሆሙ ፡ ዘይዜኑ ፤ ወእመሂ ፡ ተስእልክዎሙ ፤ እምአይቴ ፡ እሙንቱ ፤ ኢይሠጠዉኒ ።
When I look, there is no man, even among them there is no counselor who, when I ask, can answer a word.
41:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ הֵ֣ן כֻּלָּ֔ם אָ֥וֶן אֶ֖פֶס מַעֲשֵׂיהֶ֑ם ר֥וּחַ וָתֹ֖הוּ נִסְכֵּיהֶֽם ׃ {פ}
εἰσὶν γὰρ οἱ ποιοῦντες ὑμᾶς καὶ μάτην οἱ πλανῶντες ὑμᾶς
Ecce omnes injusti , et vana opera eorum ; ventus et inane simulacra eorum .
እለሂ ፡ ይገብርዎሙ ፡ ከንቶ ፡ ይፈጥርዎሙ ።
Behold, all of their deeds are vanity and nothing. Their molten images are wind and confusion.
