16:1
Καὶ διαγενομένου τοῦ σαββάτου Μαρία ἡ Μαγδαληνὴ καὶ Μαρία ἡ Ἰακώβου καὶ Σαλώμη ἠγόρασαν ἀρώματα, ἵνα ἐλθοῦσαι ἀλείψωσιν αὐτόν.
Et cum transisset sabbatum, Maria Magdalene, et Maria Jacobi, et Salome emerunt aromata ut venientes ungerent Jesum.
ወሶበ ኀለፈት ሰንበት ማርያም መግደላዊት ወማርያም እንተ ያዕቆብ ወሰሎሜ ተሣየጣ አፈወ ከመ ይምጽኣ ወይቅብዓ ሥጋሁ።
When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint him.
16:2
καὶ λίαν πρωῒ τῇ μιᾷ τῶν σαββάτων ἔρχονται ἐπὶ τὸ μνῆμα, ἀνατείλαντος τοῦ ἡλίου.
Et valde mane una sabbatorum, veniunt ad monumentum, orto jam sole.
ወሖራ ወአንግሃ ጥቀ ሐዊረ ኀበ መቃብር በእሑድ ሰንበት ሶበ ሠረቀ ፀሓይ።
Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.
16:3
καὶ ἔλεγον πρὸς ἑαυτάς· τίς ἀποκυλίσει ἡμῖν τὸν λίθον ἐκ τῆς θύρας τοῦ μνημείου;
Et dicebant ad invicem : Quis revolvet nobis lapidem ab ostio monumenti ?
ወይቤላ በበይናቲሆን መኑ ይከሥታ ለነ ለእብን እምኆኅተ መቃብር።
They were saying among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?”
16:4
καὶ ἀναβλέψασαι θεωροῦσιν ὅτι ἀνακεκύλισται ὁ λίθος· ἦν γὰρ μέγας σφόδρα.
Et respicientes viderunt revolutum lapidem. Erat quippe magnus valde.
ወረዊጾን ርእያሃ ለእብን ኀበ አንኰርኰረት ወዐባይ ይእቲ ጥቀ።
for it was very big. Looking up, they saw that the stone was rolled back.
16:5
καὶ εἰσελθοῦσαι εἰς τὸ μνημεῖον εἶδον νεανίσκον καθήμενον ἐν τοῖς δεξιοῖς περιβεβλημένον στολὴν λευκήν, καὶ ἐξεθαμβήθησαν.
Et introëuntes in monumentum viderunt juvenem sedentem in dextris, coopertum stola candida, et obstupuerunt.
ወበዊኦን ውስተ መቃብር ረከባ አሐደ ወሬዛ እንዘ ይነብር መንገለ የማን ወይለብስ አልባሰ ንጹሐ ወደንገፃ።
Entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe; and they were amazed.
16:6
ὁ δὲ λέγει αὐταῖς· μὴ ἐκθαμβεῖσθε. Ἰησοῦν ζητεῖτε τὸν Ναζαρηνὸν τὸν ἐσταυρωμένον· ἠγέρθη, οὐκ ἔστιν ὧδε· ἴδε ὁ τόπος ὅπου ἔθηκαν αὐτόν.
Qui dicit illis : Nolite expavescere : Jesum quaeritis Nazarenum, crucifixum : surrexit, non est hic, ecce locus ubi posuerunt eum.
ወይቤሎን መልአክ ኢትደንግፃ ኢየሱስሃኑ ናዝራዌ ዘተሰቅለ ተኀሥሣ ተንሥአ ወኢሀሎ ዝየሰ ወናሁ መካኑ ኀበ ተቀብረ።
He said to them, “Don’t be amazed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him!
16:7
ἀλλὰ ὑπάγετε εἴπατε τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ τῷ Πέτρῳ ὅτι προάγει ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν· ἐκεῖ αὐτὸν ὄψεσθε, καθὼς εἶπεν ὑμῖν.
Sed ite, dicite discipulis ejus, et Petro, quia praecedit vos in Galilaeam : ibi eum videbitis, sicut dixit vobis.
ወባሕቱ ሑራ ወንግራሆሙ ለአርዳኢሁ ወለጴጥሮስ ከመ ይቀድሞሙ ገሊላ ወበህየ ይሬእይዎ በከመ ይቤሎሙ።
But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He goes before you into Galilee. There you will see him, as he said to you.’”
16:8
καὶ ἐξελθοῦσαι ἔφυγον ἀπὸ τοῦ μνημείου· εἶχεν γὰρ αὐτὰς τρόμος καὶ ἔκστασις, καὶ οὐδενὶ οὐδὲν εἶπον· ἐφοβοῦντο γάρ.
At illae exeuntes, fugerunt de monumento : invaserat enim eas tremor et pavor : et nemini quidquam dixerunt : timebant enim.
ወወፅኣ እምነ መቃብር ወጐያ እስመ አኀዞን ረዓድ ወድንጋፄ ወኢነገራ ወኢለመኑሂ እስመ ፈርሃ ወኵሎ ዘአዘዞን ለጴጥሮስ ወለእሊኣሁ ፈጺሞን ነጊረ አስተርአዮሙ እግዚእነ እምድኅረ ተንሥአ እምዉታን። ወፈነዎሙ ይስብኩ እምሥራቀ ፀሓይ እስከ ዐረብ ለኵሉ ፍጥረት በወንጌል ቅዱስ ዘኢይማስን ለሕይወት ዘለዓለም።
They went out, and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had come on them. They said nothing to anyone; for they were afraid.
16:9
Ἀναστὰς δὲ πρωῒ πρώτῃ σαββάτου ἐφάνη πρῶτον Μαρίᾳ τῇ Μαγδαληνῇ, ἀφ’ ἧς ἐκβεβλήκει ἑπτὰ δαιμόνια.
Surgens autem mane prima sabbati, apparuit primo Mariae Magdalene, de qua ejecerat septem daemonia.
ወተንሢኦ በጽባሕ በእሑድ ሰንበት አስተርአያ ቅድመ ለማርያም መግደላዊት እንተ እምኔሃ አውፅአ ሰብዐተ አጋንንተ።
Now when he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.
16:10
ἐκείνη πορευθεῖσα ἀπήγγειλεν τοῖς μετ’ αὐτοῦ γενομένοις, πενθοῦσιν καὶ κλαίουσιν.
Illa vadens nuntiavit his, qui cum eo fuerant, lugentibus et flentibus.
ወይእቲ ሐዊራ ዜነወቶሙ ለእለ ምስሌሁ ሀለዉ ቀዲሙ እንዘ ሀለዉ ይላሕዉ ወይበክዩ።
She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
16:11
κἀκεῖνοι ἀκούσαντες ὅτι ζῇ καὶ ἐθεάθη ὑπ’ αὐτῆς ἠπίστησαν.
Et illi audientes quia viveret, et visus esset ab ea, non crediderunt.
ወእሙንቱሂ ሶበ ሰምዑ ከመ አስተርአያ ወሕያው ውእቱ ኢአምንዋ።
When they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they disbelieved.
16:12
Μετὰ δὲ ταῦτα δυσὶν ἐξ αὐτῶν περιπατοῦσιν ἐφανερώθη ἐν ἑτέρᾳ μορφῇ, πορευομένοις εἰς ἀγρόν.
Post haec autem duobus ex his ambulantibus ostensus est in alia effigie, euntibus in villam :
ወእምዝ አስተርአዮሙ ለክልኤቱ እምኔሆሙ በካልእ ራእይ እንዘ የሐውሩ ሐቅለ።
After these things he was revealed in another form to two of them as they walked, on their way into the country.
16:13
κἀκεῖνοι ἀπελθόντες ἀπήγγειλαν τοῖς λοιποῖς· οὐδὲ ἐκείνοις ἐπίστευσαν.
et illi euntes nuntiaverunt ceteris : nec illis crediderunt.
ወሖሩ እሙንቱሂ ወዜነዉ ለቢጾሙ ወሎሙኒ ኢአምንዎሙ።
They went away and told it to the rest. They didn’t believe them, either.
16:14
Ὕστερον ἀνακειμένοις αὐτοῖς τοῖς ἕνδεκα ἐφανερώθη, καὶ ὠνείδισεν τὴν ἀπιστίαν αὐτῶν καὶ σκληροκαρδίαν, ὅτι τοῖς θεασαμένοις αὐτὸν ἐγηγερμένον οὐκ ἐπίστευσαν.
Novissime recumbentibus illis undecim apparuit : et exprobravit incredulitatem eorum et duritiam cordis : quia iis, qui viderant eum resurrexisse, non crediderunt.
ወእምድኅረዝ ካዕበ እንዘ ይረፍቁ ዐሠርቱ ወአሐዱ አስተርአዮሙ ወገሠጾሙ በእንተ ኅጸተ አሚኖቶሙ ወግእዘ ጽንዐ ልቦሙ እስመ ለእለ ርእይዎ ከመ ተንሥአ ኢአምንዎሙ።
Afterward he was revealed to the eleven themselves as they sat at the table; and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they didn’t believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
16:15
καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· πορευθέντες εἰς τὸν κόσμον ἅπαντα κηρύξατε τὸ εὐαγγέλιον πάσῃ τῇ κτίσει.
Et dixit eis : Euntes in mundum universum praedicate Evangelium omni creaturae.
ወይቤሎሙ ሑሩ ውስተ ኵሉ ዓለም ወስብኩ ወንጌለ ለኵሉ ፍጥረት።
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation.
16:16
ὁ πιστεύσας καὶ βαπτισθεὶς σωθήσεται, ὁ δὲ ἀπιστήσας κατακριθήσεται.
Qui crediderit, et baptizatus fuerit, salvus erit : qui vero non crediderit, condemnabitur.
ዘአምነ ወዘተጠምቀ ይድኅን ወዘሰ ኢአምነ ይደየን።
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.
16:17
σημεῖα δὲ τοῖς πιστεύσασιν ταῦτα παρακολουθήσει· ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου δαιμόνια ἐκβαλοῦσιν, γλώσσαις λαλήσουσιν καιναῖς,
Signa autem eos qui crediderint, haec sequentur : in nomine meo daemonia ejicient : linguis loquentur novis :
ወዛቲ ተአምር ለእለ አምኑ በስምየ ትተልዎሙ በስመ ዚኣየ አጋንንተ ያወፅኡ ወበካልእ ልሳን ይትናገሩ ሐዲሳተ።
These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages;
16:18
ὄφεις ἀροῦσιν, κἂν θανάσιμόν τι πίωσιν οὐ μὴ αὐτοὺς βλάψῃ, ἐπὶ ἀρρώστους χεῖρας ἐπιθήσουσιν καὶ καλῶς ἕξουσιν.
serpentes tollent : et si mortiferum quid biberint, non eis nocebit : super aegros manus imponent, et bene habebunt.
ወአራዊተ ምድር ይእኅዙ በእደዊሆሙ ወአልቦ ዘያሐሥሞሙ ወዘሂ ይቀትል ሕምዘ ለእመ ሰትዩ አልቦ ዘይነክዮሙ ወዲበ ድዉያን እደዊሆሙ ያነብሩ ወይሜጥኑ ወእሙንቱሂ ይትፌወሱ።
they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
16:19
ὁ μὲν οὖν κύριος μετὰ τὸ λαλῆσαι αὐτοῖς ἀνελήμφθη εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐκ δεξιῶν τοῦ θεοῦ.
Et Dominus quidem Jesus postquam locutus est eis, assumptus est in caelum, et sedet a dextris Dei.
ወእግዚእነሰ ኢየሱስ እምድኅረ ተናገሮሙ ዐርገ ውስተ ሰማይ ወነበረ በየማነ እግዚአብሔር አቡሁ።
So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
16:20
ἐκεῖνοι δὲ ἐξελθόντες ἐκήρυξαν πανταχοῦ, τοῦ κυρίου συνεργοῦντος καὶ τὸν λόγον βεβαιοῦντος διὰ τῶν ἐπακολουθούντων σημείων.
Illi autem profecti praedicaverunt ubique, Domino cooperante, et sermonem confirmante, sequentibus signis.
ወወፂኦሙ እሙንቱ ሰበኩ በኵለሄ እንዘ እግዚእ ይረድእ ወቃሎ ያጸንዕ በተአምር ዘይተሉ። መልአ ጽሕፈተ ብሥራቱ ለማርቆስ ወንጌላዊ አሐዱ እምሰብዓ ወክልኤቱ አርድእት ወኮነ ዘጸሐፎ በሀገረ ሮም በልሳነ አፍርንጊ እምድኅረ ዕርገቱ ለእግዚእነ በሥጋ ውስተ ሰማይ በዐሠርቱ ወአሐዱ ዓመት ወበአርባዕቱ ዓመተ መንግሥቱ ለቀላውዴዎስ ቄሳር። ወስብሐት ለእግዚአብሔር አሜን።
They went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.
