γαυρίαμα ὕψους στερέωμα καθαριότητος εἶδος οὐρανοῦ ἐν ὁράματι δόξης
Altitudinis firmamentum pulchritudo ejus est, species cæli in visione gloriæ.
ላዕለ፡ ጽንዓ፡ ለሰማይ፡ በንጽሕ፡ ወርእየተ፡ ሰማይኒ፡ በስብሐቲሁ።
The pride of the height is the firmament in its clearness, The appearance of heaven, in the spectacle of its glory.
43:2
ἥλιος ἐν ὀπτασίᾳ διαγγέλλων ἐν ἐξόδῳ σκεῦος θαυμαστόν ἔργον ὑψίστου
Sol in aspectu annuntians in exitu, vas admirabile, opus Excelsi.
ወያሠርቅ፡ ፀሓየ፡ ከመ፡ ያርኢ፡ ብርሃኖ፡ ወነኪር፡ ሥርዐቱ፡ ለግብረ፡ ሰማይ።
The sun when he appears, bringing tidings as he goes forth, Is a marvelous instrument, the work of the Most High:
43:3
ἐν μεσημβρίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἀναξηραίνει χώραν καὶ ἐναντίον καύματος αὐτοῦ τίς ὑποστήσεται
In meridiano exurit terram, et in conspectu ardoris ejus quis poterit sustinere ? fornacem custodiens in operibus ardoris :
ወበቀትሩሂ፡ ያየብስ፡ ብሔረ፡ ወመኑ፡ ይትቃወማ፡ ለላህቡ።
At his noon he dries up the country, And who shall stand against his burning heat?
43:4
κάμινον φυσῶν ἐν ἔργοις καύματος τριπλασίως ἥλιος ἐκκαίων ὄρη ἀτμίδας πυρώδεις ἐκφυσῶν καὶ ἐκλάμπων ἀκτῖνας ἀμαυροῖ ὀφθαλμούς
tripliciter sol exurens montes, radios igneos exsufflans, et refulgens radiis suis obcæcat oculos.
ከመ፡ እቶን፡ ዘይነድድ፡ ይሬሲ፡ ላህ[ቦ]፡ ወመሥልስ[ተ]፡ ፀሓይ፡ ያውዕዮሙ፡ ለአድባር፡ ወላህበ፡ እሳት፡ ይነፍኅ፡ እምኔሁ፡ ወነጽሮ፡ ብርሃኑ፡ ያከፍእ፡ ዐይነ።
A man blowing a furnace is in works of heat, But the sun three times more, burning up the mountains: Breathing out fiery vapours, And sending forth bright beams, he dims the eyes.
43:5
μέγας κύριος ὁ ποιήσας αὐτόν καὶ ἐν λόγοις αὐτοῦ κατέσπευσεν πορείαν
Magnus Dominus qui fecit illum, et in sermonibus ejus festinavit iter.
ዐቢይ፡ ውእቱ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘገብሮ፡ ወበቃሉ፡ ይፈጥን፡ ሑረቱ።
Great is the Lord that made him; And at his word he hastens his course.
43:6
καὶ ἡ σελήνη ἐν πᾶσιν εἰς καιρὸν αὐτῆς ἀνάδειξιν χρόνων καὶ σημεῖον αἰῶνος
Et luna in omnibus in tempore suo, ostensio temporis, et signum ævi.
ወወርኅኒ፡ ዕድሜሁ፡ ውእቱ፡ ለኵሉ፡ ወትእምርት፡ ለብሔር፡ ወባቲ፡ ይትፈለጥ፡ መዋዕል።
The moon also is in all things for her season, For a declaration of times, and a sign of the world.
43:7
ἀπὸ σελήνης σημεῖον ἑορτῆς φωστὴρ μειούμενος ἐπὶ συντελείας
A luna signum diei festi : luminare quod minuitur in consummatione.
እምነ፡ ወርኅ፡ ይትዐወቅ፡ ትእምርተ፡ በዓላት፡ ብርሃን፡ ዘየኀልቅ፡ እንዘ፡ የሐጽጽ።
From the moon is the sign of the feast day; A light that waneth when she is come to the full.
43:8
μὴν κατὰ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῆς ἐστιν αὐξανόμενος θαυμαστῶς ἐν ἀλλοιώσει σκεῦος παρεμβολῶν ἐν ὕψει ἐν στερεώματι οὐρανοῦ ἐκλάμπων
Mensis secundum nomen ejus est, crescens mirabiliter in consummatione.
ወወርኅሰ፡ በከመ፡ ስማ፡ ይእቲ፡ ወነኪር፡ ከመ፡ ተዐቢ፡ ወዕጹብ፡ ከመ፡ ታስተባሪ፡ በውስተ፡ ሥርዓተ፡ ትዕይንተ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወያበርህ፡ በውስተ፡ ኀይለ፡ ሰማይ።
The month is called after her name, Increasing wonderfully in her changing; An instrument of the army on high, Shining forth in the firmament of heaven;
43:9
κάλλος οὐρανοῦ δόξα ἄστρων κόσμος φωτίζων ἐν ὑψίστοις κυρίου
Vas castrorum in excelsis, in firmamento cæli resplendens gloriose.
ስርጋዌሃ፡ ለሰማይ፡ ክብሮሙ፡ ለከዋክብት፡ ወያበርሁ፡ ለብሔር፡ በውስተ፡ ሰማዩ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
The beauty of heaven, the glory of the stars, An ornament giving light in the highest places of the Lord.
43:10
ἐν λόγοις ἁγίου στήσονται κατὰ κρίμα καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐκλυθῶσιν ἐν φυλακαῖς αὐτῶν
Species cæli gloria stellarum : mundum illuminans in excelsis Dominus.
ወበቃለ፡ ቅድሳቲሁ፡ የሐውሩ፡ በበሥርዓቶሙ፡ ወኢይስሕቱ፡ ወኢይፈልሱ፡ እመነ፡ ዐቅሞሙ።
At the word of the Holy One they will stand in due order, And they will not faint in their watches.
43:11
ἰδὲ τόξον καὶ εὐλόγησον τὸν ποιήσαντα αὐτὸ σφόδρα ὡραῖον ἐν τῷ αὐγάσματι αὐτοῦ
In verbis Sancti stabunt ad judicium, et non deficient in vigiliis suis.
ወርኢ፡ ቀስቶሂ፡ ወባርኮ፡ ለፈጣሪሁ፡ እስመ፡ ፈድፋደ፡ ሠናይ፡ ዋካሁ።
Look upon the rainbow, and praise him that made it; Exceeding beautiful in the brightness thereof.
43:12
ἐγύρωσεν οὐρανὸν ἐν κυκλώσει δόξης χεῖρες ὑψίστου ἐτάνυσαν αὐτό
Vide arcum, et benedic eum qui fecit illum : valde speciosus est in splendore suo.
ወይቀምር፡ ውስተ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወያዐውዶ፡ ስብሐቲሁ፡ እደዊሁ፡ ለልዑል፡ ይቀምሮ።
It encircles the heaven round about with a circle of glory; The hands of the Most High have stretched it.
43:13
προστάγματι αὐτοῦ κατέσπευσεν χιόνα καὶ ταχύνει ἀστραπὰς κρίματος αὐτοῦ
Gyravit cælum in circuitu gloriæ suæ : manus Excelsi aperuerunt illum.
በትእዛዘ፡ ዚአሁ፡ ይዘንም፡ በረድ፡ ወይፈጥን፡ መብረቅ፡ በፈቃዱ።
By his commandment he makes the snow to fall apace, And sends swiftly the lightnings of his judgement.
43:14
διὰ τοῦτο ἠνεῴχθησαν θησαυροί καὶ ἐξέπτησαν νεφέλαι ὡς πετεινά
Imperio suo acceleravit nivem, et accelerat coruscationes emittere judicii sui.
ወእንበይነ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ይከሥት፡ መዛግብቲሁ፡ ወይሰርራ፡ ደመናት፡ ከመ፡ አዕዋፍ።
By reason thereof the treasure-houses are opened; And clouds fly forth as fowls.
43:15
ἐν μεγαλείῳ αὐτοῦ ἴσχυσεν νεφέλας καὶ διεθρύβησαν λίθοι χαλάζης
Propterea aperti sunt thesauri, et evolaverunt nebulæ sicut aves.
ወበዕበይሁ፡ ያጸንዖሙ፡ ለደመናት፡ ወይትፈተት፡ እብነ፡ በረድ።
By his mighty power he makes strong the clouds, And the hailstones are broken small:
43:16
καὶ ἐν ὀπτασίᾳ αὐτοῦ σαλευθήσεται ὄρη ἐν θελήματι αὐτοῦ πνεύσεται νότος
In magnitudine sua posuit nubes, et confracti sunt lapides grandinis.
ወበሐውጾቱ፡ ያድለቀልቁ፡ አድባር፡ ወበፈቃዱ፡ ይነፍኅ፡ ነፋስ፡ ጽብሓዊ።
And at his appearing the mountains will be shaken, And at his will the south wind will blow.
43:17
φωνὴ βροντῆς αὐτοῦ ὠνείδισεν γῆν καὶ καταιγὶς βορέου καὶ συστροφὴ πνεύματος
In conspectu ejus commovebuntur montes, et in voluntate ejus aspirabit notus.
ወቃለ፡ ፀዓዑ፡ ያፈርሃ፡ ለምድር፡ ወዐውሎሁ፡ ለነፋስ፡ ዐረባዊ፡ ያጠውያ፡ ለመንፈስ፡ ወከመ፡ አዕዋፍ፡ ዘይሰርር፡ ይዘርዎ፡ ለበረድ፡ ወከመ፡ ርደተ፡ አንበጣ፡ ርደቱ።
The voice of his thunder makes the earth to travail; So does the northern storm and the whirlwind: As birds flying down he sprinkleth the snow; And as the lighting of the locust is the falling down thereof:
43:18
ὡς πετεινὰ καθιπτάμενα πάσσει χιόνα καὶ ὡς ἀκρὶς καταλύουσα ἡ κατάβασις αὐτῆς κάλλος λευκότητος αὐτῆς ἐκθαυμάσει ὀφθαλμός καὶ ἐπὶ τοῦ ὑετοῦ αὐτῆς ἐκστήσεται καρδία
Vox tonitrui ejus verberavit terram, tempestas aquilonis, et congregatio spiritus :
ወዕጹብ፡ ለዐይን፡ ሥነ፡ ጽዕዱቱ፡ ወነኪር፡ ለልብ፡ ዝናሙ።
The eye will marvel at the beauty of its whiteness, And the heart will be astonished at the raining of it.
43:19
καὶ πάχνην ὡς ἅλα ἐπὶ γῆς χέει καὶ παγεῖσα γίνεται σκολόπων ἄκρα
et sicut avis deponens ad sedendum, aspergit nivem, et sicut locusta demergens descensus ejus.
እስመ፡ ይሰውጣ፡ ለበረዱ፡ ከመ፡ ጼው፡ ውስተ፡ ምድር፡ ለጊሜሁ፡ ወእምከመ፡ ረግዐ፡ አስሐትያ፡ ይትፈለጽ፡ ከመ፡ ስባራተ፡ ማህው፡ በላኅት።
The hoar frost also he pours on the earth as salt; And when it is congealed, it is as points of thorns.
43:20
ψυχρὸς ἄνεμος βορέης πνεύσει καὶ παγήσεται κρύσταλλος ἐφ’ ὕδατος ἐπὶ πᾶσαν συναγωγὴν ὕδατος καταλύσει καὶ ὡς θώρακα ἐνδύσεται τὸ ὕδωρ
Pulchritudinem candoris ejus admirabitur oculus, et super imbrem ejus expavescet cor.
ቈሪረ፡ ነፋስ፡ ይነፍኅ፡ ነፋስ፡ ጽባሓዊ፡ ወአስሐትያኒ፡ ይገርዕ፡ ዲበ፡ ማይ፡ ወይነብር፡ ላዕለ፡ ኵሉ፡ ምቅዋመ፡ ማይ፡ ወከመ፡ ልብሰ፡ ኀጺን፡ የኀድር፡ ዲበ፡ ማይ፡ ወይገለብባ።
The cold north wind shall blow, And the ice shall be congealed on the water: It shall lodge upon every gathering together of water, And the water shall put on as it were a breastplate.
43:21
καταφάγεται ὄρη καὶ ἔρημον ἐκκαύσει καὶ ἀποσβέσει χλόην ὡς πῦρ
Gelu sicut salem effundet super terram : et dum gelaverit, fiet tamquam cacumina tribuli.
ወይበልዕ፡ አድባረ፡ ወያውዒ፡ ገዳመ፡ ወያሐርሮ፡ ለሣዕር፡ ከመ፡ እሳት።
It shall devour the mountains, and burn up the wilderness, And consume the green herb as fire.
43:22
ἴασις πάντων κατὰ σπουδὴν ὁμίχλη δρόσος ἀπαντῶσα ἀπὸ καύσωνος ἱλαρώσει
Frigidus ventus aquilo flavit, et gelavit crystallus ab aqua : super omnem congregationem aquarum requiescet, et sicut lorica induet se aquis :
ወፈወሰ፡ ኵሎ፡ ፍጡነ፡ ጊሜ፡ ዝናምኒ፡ እምከመ፡ ወረደ፡ ውስተ፡[መርቄ]፡ ያስተፌሥሕ።
A mist coming speedily is the healing of all things; A dew coming after heat shall bring cheerfulness.
43:23
λογισμῷ αὐτοῦ ἐκόπασεν ἄβυσσον καὶ ἐφύτευσεν ἐν αὐτῇ νήσους
et devorabit montes, et exuret desertum, et extinguet viride, sicut igne.
ወበምክረ፡ ዚአሁ፡ ይየብስ፡ ቀላይ፡ ወእምዝ፡ ተከ[ላ]፡ ዮሴዕ።
By his counsel he has stilled the deep, And planted islands therein.
43:24
οἱ πλέοντες τὴν θάλασσαν διηγοῦνται τὸν κίνδυνον αὐτῆς καὶ ἀκοαῖς ὠτίων ἡμῶν θαυμάζομεν
Medicina omnium in festinatione nebulæ : et ros obvians ab ardore venienti humilem efficiet eum.
ወእለኒ፡ ይነግድዋ፡ ለባሕር፡ ይነግሩ፡ ሕማማ፡ ወንሕነሰ፡ ሰሚዐነ፡ ናነክር።
They that sail on the sea tell of the danger thereof; And when we hear it with our ears, we marvel.
43:25
καὶ ἐκεῖ τὰ παράδοξα καὶ θαυμάσια ἔργα ποικιλία παντὸς ζῴου κτίσις κητῶν
In sermone ejus siluit ventus, et cogitatione sua placavit abyssum : et plantavit in illa Dominus insulas.
ወህየ፡ ዕጹብ፡ ክብሩ፡ ወነኪር፡ ወአጥርዮ፡ እንስሳሂ፡ በበዘመዱ።
Therein be also those strange and wondrous works, Variety of all that has life, the race of sea-monsters.
43:26
δῑ αὐτὸν εὐοδοῖ ἄγγελος αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν λόγῳ αὐτοῦ σύγκειται τὰ πάντα
Qui navigant mare enarrent pericula ejus, et audientes auribus nostris admirabimur.
ወእምውስቴቱ፡ ይትገበር፡ ሎቱ፡ ለሠናይ፡ መዐዛ፡ ወበቃሉ፡ ይከውን፡ ኵሉ።
By reason of him his end has success, And by his word all things consist.
43:27
πολλὰ ἐροῦμεν καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀφικώμεθα καὶ συντέλεια λόγων τὸ πᾶν ἐστιν αὐτός
Illic præclara opera et mirabilia, varia bestiarum genera, et omnium pecorum, et creatura belluarum.
ወብዙኀ፡ ንነግር፡ ወኢንክል፡ ፈጽሞቶ፡ ወማኅለቅቱ፡ ለኵሉ፡ ነገር፡ ዳእሙ፡ ባሕቲቱ።
We may say many things, yet shall we not attain; And the sum of our words is, He is all.
43:28
δοξάζοντες ποῦ ἰσχύσομεν αὐτὸς γὰρ ὁ μέγας παρὰ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ
Propter ipsum confirmatus est itineris finis, et in sermone ejus composita sunt omnia.
ሚመጠነ፡ ንክል፡ አእኵቶቶ፡ እስመ፡ ውእቱ፡ የዐቢ፡ እምነ፡ ኵሉ፡ ግብሩ።
How shall we have strength to glorify him? For he is himself the great one above all his works.
43:29
φοβερὸς κύριος καὶ σφόδρα μέγας καὶ θαυμαστὴ ἡ δυναστεία αὐτοῦ
Multa dicemus, et deficiemus in verbis : consummatio autem sermonum ipse est in omnibus.
ወግሩም፡ ውእቱ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወፈድፋደ፡ ዕጹብ፡ ወዕጹብ፡ ኀይሉ።
The Lord is terrible and exceeding great; And marvelous is his power.
43:30
δοξάζοντες κύριον ὑψώσατε καθ’ ὅσον ἂν δύνησθε ὑπερέξει γὰρ καὶ ἔτι καὶ ὑψοῦντες αὐτὸν πληθύνατε ἐν ἰσχύι μὴ κοπιᾶτε οὐ γὰρ μὴ ἀφίκησθε
Gloriantes ad quid valebimus ? ipse enim omnipotens super omnia opera sua.
አእኵትዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወአዕብይዎ፡ በአምጣነ፡ ትክሉ፡ እስመ፡ ኢታጠነቅቁ፡ ፈጽሞ፡ ዓዲ፡ የዐቢ፡ እምኵሉ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ወበኵሉ፡ ኀይልክሙ፡ አዕብይዎ፡ ወአትትሀከዩ፡ እስመ፡ ኢትበጽሕዎ።
When you⌃ glorify the Lord, exalt him as much as you⌃ can; For even yet will he exceed: And when you⌃ exalt him, put forth your full strength: Be not weary; for you⌃ will never attain.
43:31
τίς ἑόρακεν αὐτὸν καὶ ἐκδιηγήσεται καὶ τίς μεγαλυνεῖ αὐτὸν καθώς ἐστιν
Terribilis Dominus, et magnus vehementer, et mirabilis potentia ipsius.
መኑ፡ ዘርእዮ፡ ወይነግረነ፡ ወመኑ፡ የዐብዮ፡ በአምጣነ፡ ዕበዩ።
Who has seen him, that he may declare him? And who shall magnify him as he is?
43:32
πολλὰ ἀπόκρυφά ἐστιν μείζονα τούτων ὀλίγα γὰρ ἑωράκαμεν τῶν ἔργων αὐτοῦ
Glorificantes Dominum quantumcumque potueritis, supervalebit enim adhuc : et admirabilis magnificentia ejus.
ወብዙኅ፡ ዘኢያስተርኢ፡ የዐቢ፡ እምነ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ውኁድ፡ ዳእሙ፡ ዘርኢነ፡ ግብሩ።
Many things are hidden greater than these; For we have seen but a few of his works.
43:33
πάντα γὰρ ἐποίησεν ὁ κύριος καὶ τοῖς εὐσεβέσιν ἔδωκεν σοφίαν
Benedicentes Dominum, exaltate illum quantum potestis : major enim est omni laude.
እስመ፡ ኵሎ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ገባሪ፡ ወወሀቦሙ፡ ጥበበ፡ ለጻድቃን።
For the Lord made all things; And to the godly gave he wisdom.
