4:1

ወበእንተ ዝንቱ እስመ ብነ ዝንቱ መልእክት በከመ ምሕረቱ ዘጸገወነ ኢንትሀከይ ወኢንትቈጣዕ።

Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don’t faint.

我們既然蒙憐憫，受了這職分，就不喪膽，

4:2

አላ ንኅድጎ ለምግባረ ኀፍረት ዘኅቡእ ወኢንሑር በትምይንት ወኢንትመየኖ ለቃለ እግዚአብሔር ወናቅም ርእሰነ በጽድቅ ገሃደ እንበይነ ግዕዘ ኵሉ ሰብእ በቅድመ እግዚአብሔር።

But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

乃將那些暗昧可恥的事棄絕了；不行詭詐，不謬講上帝的道理，只將真理表明出來，好在上帝面前把自己薦與各人的良心。

4:3

ወእመኒ ክዱን ትምህርትነ ክዱን ውእቱ ለሕርቱማን ወለኑፉቃን በዝንቱ ዓለም።

Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are dying,

如果我們的福音蒙蔽，就是蒙蔽在滅亡的人身上。

4:4

እስመ ጸለሎሙ ልቦሙ እግዚአብሔር አምላክ ዘለዓለም ከመ ኢይርአዩ ብርሃነ ትምህርተ ሰብሐተ ክርስቶስ ዘውእቱ አርኣያሁ ለእግዚአብሔር።

in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.

此等不信之人被這世界的神弄瞎了心眼，不叫基督榮耀福音的光照着他們。基督本是上帝的像。

4:5

ወአኮ ለርእስነ ዘንሰብክ ዘእንበለ ለእግዚአብሔር በእንተ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ እግዚእነ ወለክሙሰ አቅነይነ ርእሰነ በእንተ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ።

For we don’t preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake,

我們原不是傳自己，乃是傳基督耶穌為主，並且自己因耶穌作你們的僕人。

4:6

እስመ እግዚአብሔር ዘይቤ ይሥርቅ ብርሃን ውስተ ጽልመት ውእቱ አብርሀ ውስተ ልብነ ብርሃነ አእምሮ ስብሐቲሁ በገጹ ለኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ።

seeing it is God who said, “Light will shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

那吩咐光從黑暗裏照出來的上帝，已經照在我們心裏，叫我們得知上帝榮耀的光顯在耶穌基督的面上。

4:7

ወብነ ዝንቱ መዝገብ ውስተ ንዋየ ልሕኵት ከመ ይኩን ዕበየ ኀይል ዘእምኀበ እግዚአብሔር ወአኮ ዘእምኀቤነ።

But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves.

我們有這寶貝放在瓦器裏，要顯明這莫大的能力是出於上帝，不是出於我們。

4:8

እንዘ በኵሉ ነሐምም ኢንትመነደብ ንትሜነንሂ ወኢነኀሥር።

We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair;

我們四面受敵，卻不被困住；心裏作難，卻不致失望；

4:9

ንሰድደሂ ወኢንትገደፍ ንጼዐርሂ ወኢንትኀጐል።

pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;

遭逼迫，卻不被丟棄；打倒了，卻不致死亡。
