7:1

ወበእንተ ዘብነ ዝንቱ ተስፋ አኀዊነ ናንጽሕ ርእሰነ ወኢናግምን ነፍስተነ ወንግበር በዘንትቄደስ በፈሪሀ እግዚአብሔር።

Having therefore these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

親愛的弟兄啊，我們既有這等應許，就當潔淨自己，除去身體、靈魂一切的污穢，敬畏上帝，得以成聖。

7:2

ወይእዜኒ ተአምሩ አኀዊነ እስመ አልቦ ዘአበስነ ወአልቦ ዘገፋዕነ ወአልቦ ዘአማሰነ ወአልቦ ዘተዐገልነ።

Open your hearts to us. We wronged no one. We corrupted no one. We took advantage of no one.

你們要心地寬大收納我們。我們未曾虧負誰，未曾敗壞誰，未曾佔誰的便宜。

7:3

ወአኮ ለአድልዎ ዘእብል እስመ ወዳእኩሂ እቤ ከመ ምሉኣን አንትሙ ውስተ ልብነ ለመዊትኒ ወለሕይወትኒ።

I say this not to condemn you, for I have said before that you are in our hearts to die together and live together.

我說這話，不是要定你們的罪。我已經說過，你們常在我們心裏，情願與你們同生同死。

7:4

ወከመዝ ብየ ብዙኅ ሞገስ በኀቤክሙ ወብዙኅ ትምክሕትየ በእንቲኣክሙ ወፈጸምኩ ፍሥሓየ ወፈድፈደኒ ሐሤትየኒ እምኵሉ ሕማምየ።

Great is my boldness of speech toward you. Great is my boasting on your behalf. I am filled with comfort. I overflow with joy in all our affliction.

我大大地放膽，向你們說話；我因你們多多誇口，滿得安慰；我們在一切患難中分外地快樂。

7:5

ወበጺሐነ መቄዶንያ ኢረከብነ ወኢአሐተኒ ዕረፍተ ለነፍስነ ወበኵሉ አሕመሙነ በአፍኣኒ ቀትል ወመንሱት ወበውስጥኒ ፍርሀት።

For even when we had come into Macedonia, our flesh had no relief, but we were afflicted on every side. Fightings were outside. Fear was inside.

我們從前就是到了馬其頓的時候，身體也不得安寧，周圍遭患難，外有爭戰，內有懼怕。

7:6

ወባሕቱ ውእቱ እግዚአብሔር ዘያስተፌሥሖሙ ለሕሙማን አስተፍሥሐነ በምጽአቱ ለቲቶ።

Nevertheless, he who comforts the lowly, God, comforted us by the coming of Titus,

但那安慰喪氣之人的上帝藉着提多來安慰了我們；

7:7

ወአኮ በምጽአቱ ባሕቲቱ ዓዲ በፍሥሓ ዘአስተፍሣሕክምዎ ወዜነወነ አፍቅሮተክሙ ዘከመ ትጽሕቁ ለነ ወትትቃኀዉ ወሰሚዕየ ዘንተ ጸንዐ ፍሥሓየ ብክሙ።

and not by his coming only, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you while he told us of your longing, your mourning, and your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced still more.

不但藉着他來，也藉着他從你們所得的安慰，安慰了我們；因他把你們的想念、哀慟，和向我的熱心，都告訴了我，叫我更加歡喜。

7:8

ወእመኒ አተከዝኩክሙ ቀዳሚ በመጽሐፍ ዘጸሐፍኩ ለክሙ ኢያኔስሐኒ ወእመኒ ነሳሐኩ ናሁ እሬእያ ለይእቲ መልእክት እመሂ ለአሐቲ ሰዓት አተከዝኩክሙ ናሁ ይእዜ እትፌሣሕ በእንቲኣሃ ብዙኀ።

For though I grieved you with my letter, I do not regret it, though I did regret it. For I see that my letter made you grieve, though just for a while.

我先前寫信叫你們憂愁，我後來雖然懊悔，如今卻不懊悔；因我知道，那信叫你們憂愁不過是暫時的。

7:9

ወአኮሰ ውእቱ እስመ ተከዝክሙ ዳእሙ እስመ ተከዝክሙ ከመ ትነስሑ እስመ እንበይነ እግዚአብሔር ተከዝክሙ ከመ ኢይትኀጐል አሐዱሂ እምኔክሙ።

I now rejoice, not that you were grieved, but that you were grieved to repentance. For you were grieved in a godly way, that you might suffer loss by us in nothing.

如今我歡喜，不是因你們憂愁，是因你們從憂愁中生出懊悔來。你們依着上帝的意思憂愁，凡事就不至於因我們受虧損了。
