28:1
Καὶ διασωθέντες τότε ἐπέγνωμεν ὅτι Μελίτη ἡ νῆσος καλεῖται .
When we had escaped, then they learned that the island was called Malta.
我們既已得救，才知道那島名叫馬耳他。
28:2
οἵ τε βάρβαροι παρεῖχαν οὐ τὴν τυχοῦσαν φιλανθρωπίαν ἡμῖν , ἅψαντες γὰρ πυρὰν προσελάβοντο πάντας ἡμᾶς διὰ τὸν ὑετὸν τὸν ἐφεστῶτα καὶ διὰ τὸ ψῦχος .
The natives showed us uncommon kindness; for they kindled a fire and received us all, because of the present rain and because of the cold.
土人看待我們，有非常的情分；因為當時下雨，天氣又冷，就生火接待我們眾人。
28:3
συστρέψαντος δὲ τοῦ Παύλου φρυγάνων τι πλῆθος καὶ ἐπιθέντος ἐπὶ τὴν πυράν , ἔχιδνα ἀπὸ τῆς θέρμης ἐξελθοῦσα καθῆψεν τῆς χειρὸς αὐτοῦ .
But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat and fastened on his hand.
那時，保羅拾起一捆柴，放在火上，有一條毒蛇，因為熱了出來，咬住他的手。
28:4
ὡς δὲ εἶδον οἱ βάρβαροι κρεμάμενον τὸ θηρίον ἐκ τῆς χειρὸς αὐτοῦ , πρὸς ἀλλήλους ἔλεγον , πάντως φονεύς ἐστιν ὁ ἄνθρωπος οὗτος ὃν διασωθέντα ἐκ τῆς θαλάσσης ἡ δίκη ζῆν οὐκ εἴασεν .
When the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped from the sea, yet Justice has not allowed to live.”
土人看見那毒蛇懸在他手上，就彼此說：「這人必是個兇手，雖然從海裏救上來，天理還不容他活着。」
28:5
ὁ μὲν οὖν ἀποτινάξας τὸ θηρίον εἰς τὸ πῦρ ἔπαθεν οὐδὲν κακόν ·
However he shook off the creature into the fire, and wasn’t harmed.
保羅竟把那毒蛇甩在火裏，並沒有受傷。
28:6
οἱ δὲ προσεδόκων αὐτὸν μέλλειν ἐμπιπρᾶσθαι ἢ καταπίπτειν ἄφνω νεκρόν . ἐπὶ πολὺ δὲ αὐτῶν προσδοκώντων καὶ θεωρούντων μηδὲν ἄτοπον εἰς αὐτὸν γινόμενον , μεταβαλλόμενοι ἔλεγον αὐτὸν εἶναι θεόν .
But they expected that he would have swollen or fallen down dead suddenly, but when they watched for a long time and saw nothing bad happen to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god.
土人想他必要腫起來，或是忽然仆倒死了；看了多時，見他無害，就轉念，說：「他是個神。」
28:7
ἐν δὲ τοῖς περὶ τὸν τόπον ἐκεῖνον ὑπῆρχεν χωρία τῷ πρώτῳ τῆς νήσου ὀνόματι Ποπλίῳ , ὃς ἀναδεξάμενος ἡμᾶς τρεῖς ἡμέρας φιλοφρόνως ἐξένισεν .
Now in the neighborhood of that place were lands belonging to the chief man of the island, named Publius, who received us and courteously entertained us for three days.
離那地方不遠，有田產是島長部百流的；他接納我們，盡情款待三日。
28:8
ἐγένετο δὲ τὸν πατέρα τοῦ Ποπλίου πυρετοῖς καὶ δυσεντερίῳ συνεχόμενον κατακεῖσθαι , πρὸς ὃν ὁ Παῦλος εἰσελθὼν καὶ προσευξάμενος , ἐπιθεὶς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῷ ἰάσατο αὐτόν .
The father of Publius lay sick of fever and dysentery. Paul entered in to him, prayed, and laying his hands on him, healed him.
當時，部百流的父親患熱病和痢疾躺着。保羅進去，為他禱告，按手在他身上，治好了他。
28:9
τούτου δὲ γενομένου καὶ οἱ λοιποὶ οἱ ἐν τῇ νήσῳ ἔχοντες ἀσθενείας προσήρχοντο καὶ ἐθεραπεύοντο ,
Then when this was done, the rest also who had diseases in the island came and were cured.
從此，島上其餘的病人也來，得了醫治。
28:10
οἳ καὶ πολλαῖς τιμαῖς ἐτίμησαν ἡμᾶς καὶ ἀναγομένοις ἐπέθεντο τὰ πρὸς τὰς χρείας .
They also honored us with many honors; and when we sailed, they put on board the things that we needed.
他們又多方地尊敬我們；到了開船的時候，也把我們所需用的送到船上。
28:11
Μετὰ δὲ τρεῖς μῆνας ἀνήχθημεν ἐν πλοίῳ παρακεχειμακότι ἐν τῇ νήσῳ Ἀλεξανδρίνῳ , παρασήμῳ Διοσκούροις .
After three months, we set sail in a ship of Alexandria which had wintered in the island, whose figurehead was “The Twin Brothers.”
過了三個月，我們上了亞歷山大的船往前行；這船以「宙斯雙子」為記，是在那海島過了冬的。
28:12
καὶ καταχθέντες εἰς Συρακούσας ἐπεμείναμεν ἡμέρας τρεῖς ,
Touching at Syracuse, we stayed there three days.
到了敘拉古，我們停泊三日；
28:13
ὅθεν περιελθόντες κατηντήσαμεν εἰς Ῥήγιον . καὶ μετὰ μίαν ἡμέραν ἐπιγενομένου νότου δευτεραῖοι ἤλθομεν εἰς Ποτιόλους ,
From there we circled around and arrived at Rhegium. After one day, a south wind sprang up, and on the second day we came to Puteoli,
又從那裏繞行，來到利基翁。過了一天，起了南風，第二天就來到部丟利。
28:14
οὗ εὑρόντες ἀδελφοὺς παρεκλήθημεν παρ’ αὐτοῖς ἐπιμεῖναι ἡμέρας ἑπτά · καὶ οὕτως εἰς τὴν Ῥώμην ἤλθαμεν .
where we found brothers, and were entreated to stay with them for seven days. So we came to Rome.
在那裏遇見弟兄們，請我們與他們同住了七天。這樣，我們來到羅馬。
28:15
κἀκεῖθεν οἱ ἀδελφοὶ ἀκούσαντες τὰ περὶ ἡμῶν ἦλθαν εἰς ἀπάντησιν ἡμῖν ἄχρι Ἀππίου φόρου καὶ Τριῶν ταβερνῶν , οὓς ἰδὼν ὁ Παῦλος εὐχαριστήσας τῷ θεῷ ἔλαβε θάρσος .
From there the brothers, when they heard of us, came to meet us as far as The Market of Appius and The Three Taverns. When Paul saw them, he thanked God and took courage.
那裏的弟兄們一聽見我們的信息就出來，到亞比烏市和三館 地方迎接我們。保羅見了他們，就感謝上帝，放心壯膽。
28:16
Ὅτε δὲ εἰσήλθομεν εἰς τὴν Ῥώμην , ἐπετράπη τῷ Παύλῳ μένειν καθ’ ἑαυτὸν σὺν τῷ φυλάσσοντι αὐτὸν στρατιώτῃ .
When we entered into Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard, but Paul was allowed to stay by himself with the soldier who guarded him.
進了羅馬城， 保羅蒙准和一個看守他的兵另住在一處。
28:17
ἐγένετο δὲ μετὰ ἡμέρας τρεῖς συνκαλέσασθαι αὐτὸν τοὺς ὄντας τῶν Ἰουδαίων πρώτους · συνελθόντων δὲ αὐτῶν ἔλεγεν πρὸς αὐτούς · ἐγώ , ἄνδρες ἀδελφοί , οὐδὲν ἐναντίον ποιήσας τῷ λαῷ ἢ τοῖς ἔθεσι τοῖς πατρῴοις , δέσμιος ἐξ Ἱεροσολύμων παρεδόθην εἰς τὰς χεῖρας τῶν Ῥωμαίων ,
After three days Paul called together those who were the leaders of the Jews. When they had come together, he said to them, “I, brothers, though I had done nothing against the people or the customs of our fathers, still was delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans,
過了三天，保羅請猶太人的首領來。他們來了，就對他們說：「弟兄們，我雖沒有做甚麼事干犯本國的百姓和我們祖宗的規條，卻被鎖綁，從耶路撒冷解在羅馬人的手裏。
28:18
οἵτινες ἀνακρίναντές με ἐβούλοντο ἀπολῦσαι διὰ τὸ μηδεμίαν αἰτίαν θανάτου ὑπάρχειν ἐν ἐμοί ·
who, when they had examined me, desired to set me free, because there was no cause of death in me.
他們審問了我，就願意釋放我；因為在我身上，並沒有該死的罪。
28:19
ἀντιλεγόντων δὲ τῶν Ἰουδαίων ἠναγκάσθην ἐπικαλέσασθαι Καίσαρα , οὐχ ὡς τοῦ ἔθνους μου ἔχων τι κατηγορεῖν .
But when the Jews spoke against it, I was constrained to appeal to Caesar, not that I had anything about which to accuse my nation.
無奈猶太人不服，我不得已，只好上告於凱撒，並非有甚麼事要控告我本國的百姓。
28:20
διὰ ταύτην οὖν τὴν αἰτίαν παρεκάλεσα ὑμᾶς ἰδεῖν καὶ προσλαλῆσαι · εἵνεκεν γὰρ τῆς ἐλπίδος τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ τὴν ἅλυσιν ταύτην περίκειμαι .
For this cause therefore I asked to see you and to speak with you. For because of the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.”
因此，我請你們來見面說話，我原為以色列人所指望的，被這鍊子捆鎖。」
28:21
οἱ δὲ πρὸς αὐτὸν εἶπαν , ἡμεῖς οὔτε γράμματα περὶ σοῦ ἐδεξάμεθα ἀπὸ τῆς Ἰουδαίας , οὔτε παραγενόμενός τις τῶν ἀδελφῶν ἀπήγγειλεν ἢ ἐλάλησέν τι περὶ σοῦ πονηρόν .
They said to him, “We neither received letters from Judea concerning you, nor did any of the brothers come here and report or speak any evil of you.
他們說：「我們並沒有接着從猶太來論你的信，也沒有弟兄到這裏來報給我們說你有甚麼不好處。
28:22
ἀξιοῦμεν δὲ παρὰ σοῦ ἀκοῦσαι ἃ φρονεῖς , περὶ μὲν γὰρ τῆς αἱρέσεως ταύτης γνωστὸν ἡμῖν ἐστιν ὅτι πανταχοῦ ἀντιλέγεται .
But we desire to hear from you what you think. For, as concerning this sect, it is known to us that everywhere it is spoken against.”
但我們願意聽你的意見如何；因為這教門，我們曉得是到處被毀謗的。」
28:23
ταξάμενοι δὲ αὐτῷ ἡμέραν ἦλθον πρὸς αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν ξενίαν πλείονες , οἷς ἐξετίθετο διαμαρτυρόμενος τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ πείθων τε αὐτοὺς περὶ τοῦ Ἰησοῦ ἀπό τε τοῦ νόμου Μωϋσέως καὶ τῶν προφητῶν ἀπὸ πρωῒ ἕως ἑσπέρας .
When they had appointed him a day, many people came to him at his lodging. He explained to them, testifying about God’s Kingdom, and persuading them concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and from the prophets, from morning until evening.
他們和保羅約定了日子，就有許多人到他的寓處來。保羅從早到晚，對他們講論這事，證明上帝國的道，引摩西的律法和先知的書，以耶穌的事勸勉他們。
28:24
καὶ οἱ μὲν ἐπείθοντο τοῖς λεγομένοις , οἱ δὲ ἠπίστουν ·
Some believed the things which were spoken, and some disbelieved.
他所說的話，有信的，有不信的。
28:25
ἀσύμφωνοι τε ὄντες πρὸς ἀλλήλους ἀπελύοντο , εἰπόντος τοῦ Παύλου ῥῆμα ἓν ὅτι καλῶς τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον ἐλάλησεν διὰ Ἠσαΐου τοῦ προφήτου πρὸς τοὺς πατέρας ὑμῶν
When they didn’t agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had spoken one message: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,
他們彼此不合，就散了；未散以先，保羅說了一句話，說：「聖靈藉先知以賽亞向你們祖宗所說的話是不錯的。
28:26
λέγων , πορεύθητι πρὸς τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον καὶ εἰπόν , ἀκοῇ ἀκούσετε καὶ οὐ μὴ συνῆτε , καὶ βλέποντες βλέψετε καὶ οὐ μὴ ἴδητε ·
saying, ‘Go to this people and say, in hearing, you will hear, but will in no way understand. In seeing, you will see, but will in no way perceive.
他說： 你去告訴這百姓說： 你們聽是要聽見，卻不明白； 看是要看見，卻不曉得；
28:27
ἐπαχύνθη γὰρ ἡ καρδία τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου , καὶ τοῖς ὠσὶν βαρέως ἤκουσαν , καὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶν ἐκάμμυσαν · μήποτε ἴδωσιν τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς καὶ τοῖς ὠσὶν ἀκούσωσιν καὶ τῇ καρδίᾳ συνῶσιν καὶ ἐπιστρέψωσιν , καὶ ἰάσομαι αὐτούς .
For this people’s heart has grown callous. Their ears are dull of hearing. Their eyes they have closed. Lest they should see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again, then I would heal them.’
因為這百姓油蒙了心， 耳朵發沉， 眼睛閉着； 恐怕眼睛看見， 耳朵聽見， 心裏明白，回轉過來， 我就醫治他們。
28:28
γνωστὸν οὖν ἔστω ὑμῖν ὅτι τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἀπεστάλη τοῦτο τὸ σωτήριον τοῦ θεοῦ · αὐτοὶ καὶ ἀκούσονται .
“Be it known therefore to you that the salvation of God is sent to the nations, and they will listen.”
所以你們當知道，上帝這救恩，如今傳給外邦人，他們也必聽受。」
28:30
Ἐνέμεινεν δὲ διετίαν ὅλην ἐν ἰδίῳ μισθώματι , καὶ ἀπεδέχετο πάντας τοὺς εἰσπορευομένους πρὸς αὐτόν ,
Paul stayed two whole years in his own rented house and received all who were coming to him,
保羅在自己所租的房子裏住了足足兩年。凡來見他的人，他全都接待，
28:31
κηρύσσων τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ διδάσκων τὰ περὶ τοῦ κυρίου Ἰησοῦ μετὰ πάσης παρρησίας ἀκωλύτως .
preaching God’s Kingdom and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, without hindrance.
放膽傳講上帝國的道，將主耶穌基督的事教導人，並沒有人禁止。
