9:1

Deus patrum meorum, et Domine misericordiæ, qui fecisti omnia verbo tuo,

O God of the fathers, and Lord who keep your mercy, Who made all things by your word;

列祖的神，施憐憫的主啊，禰曾用禰的話造成萬物，

9:2

et sapientia tua constituisti hominem, ut dominaretur creaturæ quæ a te facta est,

And by your wisdom you formedst man, That he should have dominion over the creatures that were made by you,

又用禰的智慧塑造了人，使他管理禰所造的萬物，

9:3

ut disponat orbem terrarum in æquitate et justitia, et in directione cordis judicium judicet :

And rule the world in holiness and righteousness, And execute judgement in uprightness of soul;

使他以聖潔公義治理世界，以正直的心施行審判；

9:4

da mihi sedium tuarum assistricem sapientiam, et noli me reprobare a pueris tuis :

Give me wisdom, her that sits by you on your throne; And reject me not from among your servants:

求禰將那坐在禰寶座旁的智慧賜給我，不要從禰的僕人中棄絕我；

9:5

quoniam servus tuus sum ego, et filius ancillæ tuæ ; homo infirmus, et exigui temporis, et minor ad intellectum judicii et legum.

Because I am your bondman and the son of your handmaid, A man weak and short-lived, And of small power to understand judgement and laws.

因為我是禰的僕人，是禰使女的兒子，是軟弱短命的人，缺乏明白審判和律法的智慧。

9:6

Nam etsi quis erit consummatus inter filios hominum, si ab illo abfuerit sapientia tua, in nihilum computabitur.

For even if a man be perfect among the sons of men, Yet if the wisdom that comes from you be not with him, he will be held in no account.

因為人即使在世人中算為完全，若沒有從禰而來的智慧，也必算為無有。

9:7

Tu elegisti me regem populo tuo, et judicem filiorum tuorum et filiarum :

You did choose me before my kindred to be king of your people, And to do judgement for your sons and daughters.

禰揀選了我作禰百姓的王，又審判禰的兒女；

9:8

et dixisti me ædificare templum in monte sancto tuo, et in civitate habitationis tuæ altare : similitudinem tabernaculi sancti tui quod præparasti ab initio.

You gave command to build a sanctuary in your holy mountain, And an altar in the city of your habitation, A copy of the holy tabernacle which you prepared beforehand from the beginning.

禰吩咐在禰的聖山上建造殿宇，在禰居住的城中建立祭壇，作為禰從起初所豫備的聖幕的樣式。

9:9

Et tecum sapientia tua, quæ novit opera tua, quæ et affuit tunc cum orbem terrarum faceres, et sciebat quid esset placitum oculis tuis, et quid directum in præceptis tuis.

And with you is wisdom, which knows your works, And was present when you were making the world, And which understands what is pleasing in your eyes, And what is right according to your commandments.

智慧與禰同在，她曉得禰的作為，禰造世界時她也在場，她也明白甚麼在禰眼中為悅納，甚麼合乎禰的誡命。
