ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And when Ezra had prayed and when he had made confession, weeping and praying before the house of God, there gathered to him out of Israel a very great assembly, men and women and young men; for the people wept and lifted up loud weeping.
And Sechenias son of Iiel, of the sons of Elam, answered and said to Ezra: We have broken faith with our God and have settled foreign women from the peoples of the land; and now there is endurance for Israel in this matter.
And now let us make a covenant with our God to cast out all the women and those born of them, as you may wish. Arise and terrify them by the commandments of our God; and let it be done as the law says.
And Ezra rose up from before the house of God and went into the treasury of Ioanan son of Elisoub; and he went there, and he ate no bread and drank no water, for he was mourning over the treachery of those of the exile.
And everyone who does not come within three days, according to the counsel of the rulers and the elders, all his substance shall be devoted to destruction, and he himself shall be separated from the assembly of the exile.
And all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered to Jerusalem within the three days; this is the ninth month, on the twentieth of the month. And all the people sat in the square of the house of God, because of their tumult over the matter and because of the storm.
And now give praise to the Lord, the God of your fathers, and do what is pleasing before him, and separate yourselves from the peoples of the land and from the foreign women.
But the people are many, and the season is wintry, and there is no strength to stand outside; and the work is not for one day nor for two, for we have multiplied in doing wrong in this matter.
Let our rulers stand for the whole assembly; and let all those in our cities who have settled foreign women come at appointed times, according to arrangements, and with them the elders of each city and the judges, to turn away the wrath of the anger of our God from us concerning this matter.
And the sons of the exile did so. And Ezra the priest and men, rulers of fathers' houses for the house, were set apart, and all of them by names; and they returned on the first day of the tenth month to search out the matter.
And there were found among the sons of the priests who had settled foreign women: of the sons of Jesus son of Iosedek and his brothers, Maasea and Eliezer and Iarib and Gadalia.
