9:1

ወምድኅረ፡ ኀልቀ፡ ዝንቱ፡ መጽኡ፡ ኀቤየ፡ መላእክቲሆሙ፡ ለሕዝብ፡ ወይቤሉኒ፡ ኢተፈልጡ፡ ሕዝበ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወካህናት፡ ወሌዋውያን፡ እምሕዝበ፡ ምድር፡ በርኵሶሙ፡ ለከናኔዎን፡ ወለኬጤዎን፡ ወለፌርዜዎን፡ ወለኢያቡሴዎን፡ ወለአማኔዎን፡ ወለሞዓቤዎን፡ ወለግብጽ፡ ወለአሞሬዎን።

這事辦完之後，眾首領來見我，說：「以色列民和祭司並利未人，沒有從那些地方之民中分別出來，反隨從迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩利人，行他們可憎的事。

Now when these things were done, the leaders came to me, saying, The people of Israel and the priests and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, but have followed the abominations of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

9:2

ወአውሰበ፡ እምውስተ፡ አዋልዲሆሙ፡ ወአስተዋሰቡ፡ ደቂቆሙ፡ ወተደመሩ፡ ዘርእ፡ ቅዱስ፡ ምስለ፡ ሕዝበ፡ ምድር፡ ወመላእክትኒ፡ ቅድመ፡ ኀብሩ፡ ምስሌሆሙ፡ በዛቲ፡ ኃጢአት።

因他們為自己和兒子娶了這些外邦女子為妻，以致聖潔的種類和那些地方之民混雜；而且首領和官長在這罪上為罪魁。」

For they have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and for their sons, so that the holy seed has mingled itself with the peoples of the lands; and the hand of the leaders and rulers has been foremost in this sin.

9:3

ወሶበ፡ ሰማዕኩ፡ ዘንተ፡ ነገረ፡ ሰጠጥኩ፡ ልብስየ፡ ወዓጽፍየ፡ ወኀዘንኩ፡ ወነጸይኩ፡ እምሥዕርተ፡ ርእስየ፡ ወሥዕርተ፡ ጽሕምየ፡ ወእምዝ፡ ነበርኩ፡ ትኩዝየ፡ ወአትሐትኩ፡ ገጽየ።

我一聽見這事，就撕裂衣服和外袍，悲哀拔了頭髮和鬍鬚的毛，驚懼憂悶而坐。

And when I heard this matter, I tore my garment and my robe, and I mourned and plucked out the hair of my head and my beard; and then I sat down appalled.

9:4

ወመጽኡ፡ ኀቤየ፡ ኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ ይፈርህዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ይንብቡኒ፡ ቃለ፡ አምላከ፡ እስራኤል፡ በእንተ፡ ውእቱ፡ ጌጋዮሙ፡ ለፈላስያን፡ ወአንሰ፡ ነበርኩ፡ ትኩዝየ፡ እስከ፡ ጊዜ፡ መሥዋዕተ፡ ሠርክ።

凡為以色列神言語戰兢、為被擄歸回之人所犯之罪憂愁的，都聚集到我這裡來；我驚懼憂悶而坐，直到獻晚祭的時候。

Then everyone who trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the trespass of those of the captivity, gathered to me; and I sat appalled until the time of the evening sacrifice.

9:5

ወሶበ፡ ኮነ፡ ጊዜ፡ መሥዋዕተ፡ ሠርክ፡ ተንሣእኩ፡ ሕሙምየ፡ እምድኅረ፡ ሰጠጥኩ፡ አልባስየ፡ ወዓጽፍየ፡ ወአስተብረኩ፡ በብረክየ፡ ወአንሣእኩ፡ እደውየ፡ ኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላኪየ።

獻晚祭的時候，我從愁苦中起來，仍穿著撕裂的衣袍，雙膝跪下向耶和華我的神舉手，

And at the time of the evening sacrifice I rose up from my affliction, with my garment and robe torn; and I fell upon my knees and spread out my hands to Jehovah my God,

9:6

ወእቤ፡ እግዚእ፡ አኃፍር፡ አንሥኦ፡ ገጽየ፡ ኀቤከ፡ እስመ፡ ብዙኅ፡ ኃጢአትነ፡ ወኖኀ፡ እምሥዕርተ፡ ርእስነ፡ ወዓብየ፡ ጌጋይነ፡ ወበጽሐ፡ እስከ፡ ሰማይ።

說：「我的神啊，我抱愧蒙羞，不敢向我的神仰面；因為我們的罪孽滅頂，我們的罪惡滔天。

and I said, O my God, I am ashamed and confounded to lift up my face to You, my God; for our iniquities have increased over our head, and our guilt has grown great, reaching up to heaven.

9:7

እምአመ፡ መዋዕሊሆሙ፡ ለአበዊነ፡ በዓቢይ፡ ጌጋይነ፡ ሀሎነ፡ እስከ፡ ዮም፡ ወበኃጢአትነ፡ ተፄወውነ፡ ንሕነ፡ ወነገሥጥነ፡ ወካንናቲነ፡ ወውሉድነ፡ ወገባእነ፡ ውስተ፡ እደዊሆሙ፡ ለነገሥተ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ወበኵናቶሙ፡ ቀተሉነ፡ ወፄወዉነኒ፡ ወበርበሩነኒ፡ ወበኃፍረተ፡ ገጽነ፡ ሀሎነ፡ እስከ፡ ዮም።

從我們列祖的日子直到今日，我們的罪孽甚重；因我們的罪孽，我們和我們的君王、祭司、兒女都被交在外邦列王的手中，遭刀殺、擄掠、搶奪、臉上蒙羞，正如今日的光景。

From the days of our fathers until this day we have been in great guilt; and for our iniquities we, our kings, our priests, and our sons have been given into the hand of the kings of the nations, slain by their sword, carried into captivity, plundered, and put to shame, as it is this day.

9:8

ወይእዜኒ፡ ኅዳጥ፡ ዕረፍት፡ ኮነት፡ ለነ፡ አመ፡ ተሣሃለነ፡ አምላክነ፡ ወአትረፈነ፡ ወአሕየወነ፡ ወወሀበነ፡ ኃይለ፡ ውስተ፡ ቤተ፡ መቅደሱ፡ ከመ፡ ያብርህ፡ አዕይንተነ፡ አምላክነ፡ ወስሕትነ፡ ሕቀ፡ እምነ፡ ቅኔነ።

現今耶和華我們的神暫且向我們施恩，給我們留些逃脫的人，使我們安然存活，在他的聖所中得力量，使我們的神光照我們的眼目，在轄制之中稍微復興。

And now for a little while grace has been shown us from Jehovah our God, to leave us a remnant, to keep us alive, and to give us strength in His holy place, that our God might enlighten our eyes and grant us a little reviving in our bondage.

9:9

እስመ፡ አግብርቲሁ፡ ንሕነ፡ ኢኃደገነ፡ አምላክነ፡ ወወሀበነ፡ ሞገሰ፡ በቅድሜሆሙ፡ ለነገሥተ፡ ፋርስ፡ ከመ፡ የሀቡኑ፡ ሲሳየነ፡ ወያክብሩ፡ ቤተ፡ መቅደስነ፡ ወይሕንፅዋ፡ መዝበራ፡ ለጽዮን፡ ወየሀቡነ፡ ኃይለ፡ በይሁዳ፡ ወበኢየሩሳሌም።

我們是奴僕，然而在受轄制之中，我們的神仍沒有丟棄我們，反在波斯王眼前向我們施恩，給我們糧食，使我們的神殿得尊榮，重建錫安荒涼之處，又在猶大和耶路撒冷使我們得力量。

For we are bondmen; yet our God has not forsaken us in our bondage, but has extended mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us food, and to glorify His temple and rebuild its ruins, even Zion, and to give us strength in Judah and in Jerusalem.
