5:1

ወተነበዩ፡ ሐጌ፡ ወዘካርያስ፡ ወልደ፡ ሐዶ፡ ነቢይ፡ ላዕለ፡ አይሁድ፡ እለ፡ ውስተ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወኢሩሳሌም፡ በስመ፡ አምላከ፡ እስራኤል፡ ተነበዩ፡ ሎሙ።

那時，先知哈該和易多的孫子撒迦利亞，奉以色列神的名向猶大和耶路撒冷的猶大人說預言。

Now the prophets Haggai, and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied to the Jews who were in Judah and Jerusalem, in the name of the God of Israel who was over them.

5:2

ወውእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ተንሥኡ፡ ዘሩባቤል፡ ወልደ፡ ሰላትያል፡ ወኢዮስስ፡ ወልደ፡ ኢዮሴዴቅ፡ ወአኀዙ፡ ይሕንጽ፡ ቤተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በኢየሩሳሌም፡ ወሀለዉ፡ ምስሌሆሙ፡ ነቢያተ፡ እስራኤል፡ ዘይረድእዎሙ።

於是撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯和約薩達的兒子耶書亞都起來，動工建造耶路撒冷神的殿，有神的先知在那裡幫助他們。

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak rose up and began to build the house of God which is in Jerusalem; and the prophets of God were with them, helping them.

5:3

ወእምዝ፡ መጽኡ፡ ኀቤሆሙ፡ ውእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ታንትናይ፡ መልአከ፡ ማዕዶተ፡ ፈለግ፡ ወአስተርቡዝና፡ ወአግብርተ፡ አጋእዝቲሆሙ፡ ወከመዝ፡ ይቤልዎሙ፡ መኑ፡ አዘዘክሙ፡ ትሕንጽዎ፡ ለዝንቱ፡ ቤት፡ ወመኑ፡ ወሀበክሙ፡ በዘትገብርዎ።

當時河西的省長達乃和示他波斯乃，並他們的同黨來到他們那裡，問他們說：「誰降旨叫你們建造這殿、完成這牆呢？」

At that time Tattenai the governor beyond the River, and Shethar-bozenai, and their companions came to them, and spoke thus to them, Who gave you a decree to build this house and to finish this wall?

5:4

ወተስእልዎሙ፡ አስማቲሆሙ፡ ወይቤልዎሙ፡ መኑ፡ አንትሙ፡ እደው፡ እለ፡ ተሐንጽዋ፡ ለዛቲ፡ ሀገር።

我們就問他們的名字說：「建造這城的人，你們是誰？」

Then we asked them their names, saying, Who are the men who are building this city?

5:5

እስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ተሣሃሎሙ፡ ወነጸሮሙ፡ ለፄዋ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወኢከልእዎሙ፡ እስከ፡ ገብአት፡ መልእክት፡ እምኀበ፡ ዳርዮስ፡ ወኢያዕርእዎሙ፡ ወእምዝ፡ ለአኩ፡ ሐዋርያ፡ በበይነ፡ ውእቱ፡ ነገር።

但神的眼目看顧猶大的長老，以致總督等沒有叫他們停工，直到這事奏到大利烏那裡，得著回諭為止；於是他們為這事差遣使者前去。

But the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews, so that they did not stop them, until the report should reach Darius and an answer be returned by letter concerning this matter; and then they sent a messenger about this affair.

5:6

ወይጠይቁ፡ በመጽሐፍ፡ እንተ፡ ፈነዉ፡ ታንትናይ፡ መልአክ፡ ማዕዶተ፡ ፈለግ፡ ወአስተርቡዝና፡ ወአግብርተ፡ አጋአዝቲሆሙ፡ አፈርስካውያን፡ እለ፡ ማዕዶተ፡ ፈለግ፡ ወፈነዉ፡ መጽሐፈ፡ ለዳርዮስ፡ ንጉሥ።

這是河西的省長達乃和示他波斯乃，並他們的同黨，就是住河西的官員，呈給大利烏王之奏本的抄錄。

This is the copy of the letter which Tattenai the governor beyond the River, and Shethar-bozenai, and his companions the officials who were beyond the River, sent to Darius the king.

5:7

ወዝንቱ፡ ቃል፡ ጽሑፍ፡ ውእቱ፡ በመጽሐፍ፡ ዘይብል፡ ሰላም፡ ለዳርዮስ፡ ንጉሥ።

他們呈上奏本，其中寫著說：「願大利烏王諸事平安。

They sent him a report, in which was written thus: To Darius the king, all peace.

5:8

ከመ፡ ታእምር፡ ኵሎ፡ እግዚኦሙ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ሖርነ፡ ብሔረ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ኀበ፡ ቤተ፡ አምላክ፡ ዓቢይ፡ ወረከብነ፡ እንዘ፡ የሐንጹ፡ በእብን፡ ሠናይ፡ ወበመሠረት፡ ዘዕዕ፡ ነኪር፡ ዘይወድዩ፡ ውስተ፡ አረፍቱ፡ ወይፈጥን፡ ውእቱ፡ ግብር፡ ውስተ፡ እደዊሆሙ።

願我主我王知道，我們往猶大省去，到了至大神的殿，見殿是用大石建造的，棟梁插入牆內；這工程在他們手下迅速進行，甚為順利。

Be it known to our lord the king that we went to the province of Judah, to the house of the great God, and found it being built with great stones, and timber laid in the walls; and this work is being done with diligence and prospers in their hands.

5:9

ወተስእልናሆሙ፡ ለሊቃውንቲሆሙ፡ ወንቤሎሙ፡ መነአዘዘክሙ፡ ትሕንፁ፡ ወመኑ፡ ወሀብክሙ፡ በዘትገብሩ።

我們就問他們的長老說：「誰降旨叫你們建造這殿、完成這牆呢？」

Then we asked their elders, saying to them, Who gave you a decree to build this house and to finish this wall?
