20:1
ወለእመ ፡ ወፃእከ ፡ ፀብአ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ፀርከ ፡ ወርኢከ ፡ አፍራሰ ፡ ወመጻዕናነ ፡ ወሕዝበ ፡ ዘይበዝኀከ ፡ ኢትፍራህ ፡ እምኔሆሙ ፡ እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘአውፅአከ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
「你出去與仇敵爭戰的時候，看見馬匹、車輛，並有比你多的人民，不要怕他們，因為領你出埃及地的耶和華－你上帝與你同在。
When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses, chariots, and a people more numerous than you, you shall not be afraid of them; for Yahweh your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, is with you.
20:2
ወሶበ ፡ አኀዝከ ፡ ትትቃተል ፡ ይምጻእ ፡ ካህን ፡ ወይንግር ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ወይበሎሙ ፤
你們將要上陣的時候，祭司要到百姓面前宣告
It shall be, when you draw near to the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak to the people,
20:3
ስማዕ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ናሁ ፡ ተሐውሩ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ ዮም ፡ ከመ ፡ ትትቃተሉ ፡ ፀረክሙ ፡ ኢይደንግፅክሙ ፡ ልብክሙ ፡ ወኢትፍርሁ ፡ ወኢትመምዑ ፡ ወኢትትገሐሡ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጾሙ ።
說：『以色列人哪，你們當聽，你們今日將要與仇敵爭戰，不要膽怯，不要懼怕戰兢，也不要因他們驚恐；
and shall tell them, “Hear, Israel, you draw near today to battle against your enemies. Don’t let your heart faint! Don’t be afraid, nor tremble, neither be scared of them;
20:4
እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክ[ክሙ] ፡ የሐውር ፡ ፍጽመ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይቅትል ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ፀረክሙ ፡ ወለክሙሰ ፡ ያድኅነክሙ ።
因為耶和華－你們的上帝與你們同去，要為你們與仇敵爭戰，拯救你們。』
for Yahweh your God is he who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”
20:5
ወይብልዎሙ ፡ ጸሐፍትኒ ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ለእመቦ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘነደቀ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ሐዲሰ ፡ ወኢገብረ ፡ መድቅሐ ፡ ቤቱ ፡ ለይሑር ፡ ወለይግባእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤቱ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይሙት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቀትል ፡ ወካልእ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ይግበር ፡ መድቅሐ ፡ ቤቱ ።
官長也要對百姓宣告說：『誰建造房屋，尚未奉獻，他可以回家去，恐怕他陣亡，別人去奉獻。
The officers shall speak to the people, saying, “What man is there who has built a new house, and has not dedicated it? Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.
20:6
ወለእመቦ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘተከለ ፡ ዐጸደ ፡ ወይን ፡ ወኢተፈሥሐ ፡ እምውስቴቱ ፡ ለይሑር ፡ ወለይግባእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤቱ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይሙት ፡ በውስተ ፡ ቀትል ፡ ወካልእ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ይትፌሣሕ ፡ ቦቱ ።
誰種葡萄園，尚未用所結的果子，他可以回家去，恐怕他陣亡，別人去用。
What man is there who has planted a vineyard, and has not used its fruit? Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man use its fruit.
20:7
ወለእመቦ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘፈኀረ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ ወኢነሥኣ ፡ ለይሑር ፡ ወለይግባእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤቱ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይሙት ፡ በውስተ ፡ ቀትል ፡ ወካልእ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ይንሥኣ ።
誰聘定了妻，尚未迎娶，他可以回家去，恐怕他陣亡，別人去娶。』
What man is there who has pledged to be married to a wife, and has not taken her? Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.”
20:8
ወይድግሙ ፡ ብሂሎቶሙ ፡ ጸሐፍት ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ለእመቦ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ፈራህ ፡ ዘይፈርሆ ፡ ልቡ ፡ ለይሑር ፡ ወለይግባእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤቱ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢያፍርህ ፡ ልበ ፡ ቢጹ ፡ በከመ ፡ ዚአሁ ።
官長又要對百姓宣告說：『誰懼怕膽怯，他可以回家去，恐怕他弟兄的心消化，和他一樣。』
The officers shall speak further to the people, and they shall say, “What man is there who is fearful and faint-hearted? Let him go and return to his house, lest his brother’s heart melt as his heart.”
20:9
ወሶበ ፡ አኅለቁ ፡ ነጊሮቶሙ ፡ ጸሐፍት ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ይሠይሙ ፡ መላእክተ ፡ ሰራዊት ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ዐበይተ ፡ ሕዝብ ።
官長對百姓宣告完了，就當派軍長率領他們。
It shall be, when the officers have finished speaking to the people, that they shall appoint captains of armies at the head of the people.
20:10
ወሶበ ፡ ትመጽእ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ከመ ፡ ትትቃተል ፡ ትጼውዕዎሙ ፡ በሰላም ።
「你臨近一座城、要攻打的時候，先要對城裏的民宣告和睦的話。
When you draw near to a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace to it.
20:11
ወለእመ ፡ አውሥኡክሙ ፡ በሰላም ፡ ወአርኀውከ ፡ ይኩኑከ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ እለ ፡ ተረክቡ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ እለ ፡ ያገብኡ ፡ ለከ ፡ ጸባሕተ ፡ ወምኵናኒከኒ ፡ ይኩኑከ ።
他們若以和睦的話回答你，給你開了城，城裏所有的人都要給你效勞，服事你；
It shall be, if it gives you answer of peace and opens to you, then it shall be that all the people who are found therein shall become forced laborers to you, and shall serve you.
20:12
ወለእመሰ ፡ ኢያውሥኡከ ፡ ወገብሩ ፡ ፀብአ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ትነብር ፡ ላዕሌሃ ።
若不肯與你和好，反要與你打仗，你就要圍困那城。
If it will make no peace with you, but will make war against you, then you shall besiege it.
20:13
ወያገብኣ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደዊከ ፡ ወትቀትል ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ተባዕታ ፡ በቀትለ ፡ ሐፂን ።
耶和華－你的上帝把城交付你手，你就要用刀殺盡這城的男丁。
When Yahweh your God delivers it into your hand, you shall strike every male of it with the edge of the sword;
20:14
ዘእንበለ ፡ አንስት ፡ ወንዋየ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ዘሀለወ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ጥሪቶሙ ፡ ትበረብር ፡ ለከ ፡ ወብላዕ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ በርበረ ፡ ፀርከ ፡ ዘወሀበከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ።
惟有婦女、孩子、牲畜，和城內一切的財物，你可以取為自己的掠物。耶和華－你上帝把你仇敵的財物賜給你，你可以吃用。
but the women, the little ones, the livestock, and all that is in the city, even all its plunder, you shall take for plunder for yourself. You may use the plunder of your enemies, which Yahweh your God has given you.
20:15
ወከመዝ ፡ ትገብር ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ አህጉር ፡ እለ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ርኁቃት ፡ እምኔከ ፡ እለ ፡ ኢኮና ፡ እምውስተ ፡ አህጉሪሆሙ ፡ ለእሉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ [እለ ፡] ይሁበከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ምድሮሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትትወረሳ ።
離你甚遠的各城，不是這些國民的城，你都要這樣待他。
Thus you shall do to all the cities which are very far off from you, which are not of the cities of these nations.
20:16
ወኢታሕዩ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘነፍስ ።
但這些國民的城，耶和華－你上帝既賜你為業，其中凡有氣息的，一個不可存留；
But of the cities of these peoples that Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes;
20:17
አላ ፡ መርገመ ፡ ተረግምዎሙ ፡ ለኬጤዎን ፡ ወለአሞሬዎን ፡ ወለከናኔዎን ፡ ወለፌሬዜዎን ፡ ወለኤዌዎን ፡ ወለኢያቡሴዎን ፡ ወለጌርጌሴዎን ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዘከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፤
只要照耶和華－你上帝所吩咐的將這赫人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人都滅絕淨盡，
but you shall utterly destroy them: the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, as Yahweh your God has commanded you;
20:18
ከመ ፡ ኢይምሀሩከ ፡ ገቢረ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ርኵሶሙ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ይገብሩ ፡ ለአማልክቲሆሙ ፡ ወትጌግዩ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ።
免得他們教導你們學習一切可憎惡的事，就是他們向自己神所行的，以致你們得罪耶和華－你們的上帝。
that they not teach you to follow all their abominations, which they have done for their gods; so would you sin against Yahweh your God.
20:19
ወለእመ ፡ ነበርከ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትትቃተላ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ትንሥኣ ፡ ኢትግዝም ፡ ኦማ ፡ ወኢታውርድ ፡ ሐፂነ ፡ ላዕሌሆን ፡ አላ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ብላዕ ፤ ቦኑ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ኦመ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ከመ ፡ ይምጻእ ፡ ቅድሜከ ፡ ወይባእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቅጽርከ ።
「你若許久圍困、攻打所要取的一座城，就不可舉斧子砍壞樹木；因為你可以吃那樹上的果子，不可砍伐。田間的樹木豈是人，叫你糟蹋嗎？
When you shall besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, you shall not destroy its trees by wielding an ax against them; for you may eat of them. You shall not cut them down, for is the tree of the field man, that it should be besieged by you?
20:20
ወባሕቱ ፡ ዕፀ ፡ ዘታአምር ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይፈሪ ፡ ኪያሁ ፡ ትገዝም ፡ ወትመትር ፡ ወትነድቅ ፡ ሐጹረ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ሀገር ፡ እንተ ፡ ትገብር ፡ ፀብአ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ታስተጋብኣ ።
惟獨你所知道不是結果子的樹木可以毀壞、砍伐，用以修築營壘，攻擊那與你打仗的城，直到攻塌了。」
Only the trees that you know are not trees for food, you shall destroy and cut them down. You shall build bulwarks against the city that makes war with you, until it falls.
