7:1
ወእምድኅረ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ነገር፡ በመንግሥተ፡ አርተሰስታ፡ ንጉሠ፡ ፋርስ፡ ዓገር፡ እዝራ፡ ወልደ፡ ሶርዩ፡ ወልደ፡ አዛርያ፡ ወልደ፡ ሐቃልያ።
這事以後，波斯王亞達薛西年間，有個以斯拉，他是西萊雅的兒子，西萊雅是亞撒利雅的兒子，亞撒利雅是希勒家的兒子，
Now after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra the son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah,
7:2
ወልደ፡ ሰሉም፡ ወልደ፡ ሳዶቅ፡ ወልደ፡ አኪጦብ።
希勒家是沙龍的兒子，沙龍是撒督的兒子，撒督是亞希突的兒子，
the son of Shallum, the son of Zadok, the son of Ahitub,
7:3
ወልደ፡ አማርያ፡ ወልደ፡ አዛርያ፡ ወልደ፡ ማራዮት።
亞希突是亞瑪利雅的兒子，亞瑪利雅是亞撒利雅的兒子，亞撒利雅是米拉約的兒子，
the son of Amariah, the son of Azariah, the son of Meraioth,
7:4
ወልደ፡ ዘርሕያ፡ ወልደ፡ ኡዚ፡ ወልደ፡ ቡቂ።
米拉約是西拉希雅的兒子，西拉希雅是烏西的兒子，烏西是布基的兒子，
the son of Zerahiah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Bukki,
7:5
ወልደ፡ አቢሱአ፡ ወልደ፡ ፊንሐስ፡ ወልደ፡ አልአዛር፡ ወልደ፡ አሮን፡ ካህን፡ እምኄወ፡ ቀደምቶሙ።
布基是亞比書的兒子，亞比書是非尼哈的兒子，非尼哈是以利亞撒的兒子，以利亞撒是大祭司亞倫的兒子，都是他列祖的後裔。
the son of Abishua, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the chief priest, from among their forefathers.
7:6
ወውእቱ፡ ዓርገ፡ እምነ፡ ባቢሎን፡ ውስተ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ ወእዝራ፡ ማእምር፡ ውእቱ፡ ኦሪተ፡ ሙሴ፡ ዘወሀቦ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላከ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወወሀቦ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ኵሎ፡ ዘፈቀደ፡ እስመ፡ እደ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላኩ፡ ሀለወት፡ ምስሌሁ።
這以斯拉從巴比倫上來，他是敏捷的文士，通達耶和華以色列神所賜摩西的律法書；王允准他一切所求的，因為耶和華他神的手幫助他。
This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a scribe skilled in the law of Moses which Jehovah the God of Israel had given. And the king granted him all that he asked, for the hand of Jehovah his God was upon him.
7:7
ወዓርጉ፡ እምውስተ፡ ደቂቀ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወእምነ፡ ካህናትኒ፡ ወእምነ፡ ሌዋውያን፡ ወመዘምራን፡ ወዓፀውት፡ ወናታናውያን፡ ውስተ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ አመ፡ ሳብዕ፡ ዓመተ፡ መንግሥቱ፡ ለአርተሰስታ፡ ንጉሥ።
亞達薛西王第七年，有些以色列人，和祭司、利未人、歌唱的、守門的、殿役，也上耶路撒冷去。
And some of the children of Israel, and some of the priests, the Levites, the singers, the gatekeepers, and the temple servants, went up to Jerusalem in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.
7:8
ወበጽሑ፡ ውስተ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ በሐምስ፡ ወርኅ፡ ወይእቲ፡ ሳብዒት፡ ዓመት፡ እመንግሥተ፡ ንጉሥ።
王第七年五月，以斯拉到了耶路撒冷。
And he came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king.
7:9
ወበቀዳሚት፡ ወርኅ፡ አኀዙ፡ ይዕርጉ፡ እምባቢሎን፡ ወአመ፡ ሠርቀ፡ ሐምስ፡ ወርኅ፡ በጽሑ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ እስመ፡ እደ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላኩ፡ በሠናይ፡ ላዕሌሁ።
正月初一日，他從巴比倫起行；因他神施恩的手幫助他，五月初一日就到了耶路撒冷。
For on the first day of the first month he began to go up from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.
7:10
እስመ፡ አግብአ፡ ልበ፡ እዝራ፡ ከመ፡ ይኅሥሥ፡ ሕገ፡ ኦሪት፡ ይግበር፡ ወይምሀሮሙ፡ ለእስራኤል፡ ፍትሐ፡ ወኵነኔ።
以斯拉定志考究遵行耶和華的律法，又將律例典章教訓以色列人。
For Ezra had set his heart to seek the law of Jehovah, and to do it, and to teach in Israel its statutes and ordinances.
7:11
ወከመዝ፡ ውእቱ፡ ትእዛዘ፡ መጽሐፍ፡ ዘወሀቦ፡ አርተሰስታ፡ ለእዝራ፡ ካህን፡ ጸሐፌ፡ መጽሐፈ፡ ትእዛዘ፡ ቃሉ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወኵነኔሁ፡ ዘወሀቦሙ፡ ለእስራኤል።
祭司以斯拉是文士，通達耶和華誡命和賜以色列之律例的話。亞達薛西王賜給他的諭旨，抄錄如下：
Now this is the copy of the letter that King Artaxerxes gave to Ezra the priest, the scribe, a scribe of the words of the commandments of Jehovah and of His statutes which He gave to Israel:
7:12
ወይቤ፡ አነ፡ አርተሰስታ፡ ንጉሠ፡ ነገሥት፡ ዘፈነኩ፡ ለእዝራ፡ ጸሐፌ፡ ሕጉ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ አምላከ፡ ሰማይ።
「諸王之王亞達薛西，達於祭司以斯拉，通達天上神律法的文士，願你諸事完備平安。現在
Artaxerxes, king of kings, to Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace. And now,
7:13
ትእዛዘ፡ አዘዝኩ፡ ኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ ይፈቅዱ፡ እምውስተ፡ ደቂቀ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወካህናትኒ፡ ወሌዋውያንኒ፡ ይሑሩ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ ምስሌከ፡ ይሑሩ።
我降旨，凡在我國中的以色列人，並祭司、利未人，願意上耶路撒冷去的，都可以與你同去。
I make a decree, that all of the children of Israel and their priests and Levites in my kingdom who freely offer themselves to go to Jerusalem with you, may go.
7:14
አዘዘ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ወሰብዓቱ፡ መማክርቲሁ፡ ወፈነዎሙ፡ ይርአዩ፡ በይሁዳ፡ ወበኢየሩሳሌም፡ ሕገ፡ አምላኮሙ፡ ዘውስተ፡ እዴከ።
王與他七位謀士既差遣你去，照你手中神的律法察看猶大和耶路撒冷的景況，
Forasmuch as you are sent by the king and his seven counselors, and they have sent you to inquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem according to the law of your God, which is in your hand,
7:15
ወርቀ፡ ወብሩረ፡ ፈነወ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ወመማክርቲሁ፡ ለቤተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላከ፡ እስራኤል፡ ዘየኃድር፡ ውስተ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም።
又要奉到王和謀士甘心獻給以色列神的金銀；他的居所在耶路撒冷。
and to carry the silver and gold which the king and his counselors have freely offered to the God of Israel, whose dwelling is in Jerusalem,
7:16
ወባዕደኒ፡ ኵሎ፡ ዘወርቅ፡ ወዘብሩር፡ ዘተረክበ፡ በኵሉ፡ ደወለ፡ ባቢሎን፡ ወዘኒ፡ መባኦሙ፡ ለሕዝብ፡ ወዘካህናትኒ፡ ዘአብኡ፡ ለቤተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘኢየሩሳሌም።
並要奉到你在巴比倫全省所得的一切金銀，和百姓、祭司樂意獻給耶路撒冷神之殿的禮物。
and also all the silver and gold that you shall find in the whole province of Babylon, with the freewill offerings of the people and the priests who offer willingly for the house of God which is in Jerusalem;
7:17
ወኵሎ፡ ዘንተ፡ ትእዛዘ፡ አዘዝኩ፡ ውስተ፡ ዛቲ፡ መጽሐፍ፡ ወለመሥዋዕትኒ፡ ወለሞፃሕት፡ ዘይትገበር፡ ውስተ፡ ምሥዋዕ፡ ዘቤተ፡ አምላኮሙ፡ ዘኢየሩሳሌም፡ አልሕምተ፡ ወአባግዐ፡ ወማሐስአ፡ አባግዕ።
我在這諭旨中命定這一切：你要用這銀子急速買公牛、公綿羊、綿羊羔，和同獻的素祭奠祭，獻在耶路撒冷你們神殿的壇上。
And all this I command in this letter: with the money you shall diligently buy bullocks, rams, and lambs, with their meal offerings and drink offerings, and you shall offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.
7:18
ወበዘተርፈ፡ ወርቅ፡ ወብሩር፡ አስተፍሥሕ፡ ሕዝበከ፡ ወግበር፡ በዘታሠምርዎ፡ ለአምላክክሙ፡ ወዘተርፈ፡ ግበሩ።
剩下的金銀，你和你的弟兄看怎樣為好，就怎樣用，總要遵著你們神的旨意。
And whatever shall seem good to you and to your brethren to do with the rest of the silver and gold, you may do according to the will of your God.
7:19
ወንዋየ፡ ዘመጠውኩ፡ ለግብረ፡ ቤተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አብእ፡ በቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘኢየሩሳሌም።
所交給你供你神殿中使用的器皿，你要奉到耶路撒冷神的面前。
And the vessels that are given to you for the service of the house of your God, deliver before the God of Jerusalem.
7:20
ወባዕደኒ፡ እመቦ፡ ዘትፈቅድ፡ ለትካዘ፡ ቤተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘትሁብ፡ እምነ፡ ቤተ፡ መንግሥጥየ፡ ዘጋዛ።
你神殿裡若再有需用的經費，你可以從王的庫房裡支取。
And whatever else is needed for the house of your God, which you have occasion to provide, you may provide out of the king's treasure-house.
7:21
ወአነ፡ አርተሰስታ፡ ንጉሥ፡ አዘዝኩ፡ ትእዛዘ፡ ለኵሉ፡ ጋዛ፡ ዘማዕዶተ፡ ፈለግ፡ ኵሎ፡ ዘሰአለክሙ፡ እዝራ፡ ካህን፡ ወጸሐፌ፡ ሕጉ፡ ለአምላከ፡ ሰማይ፡ አስተዳልዉ፡ ሎቱ።
我亞達薛西王又降旨給河西的一切庫官，說：通達天上神律法的文士祭司以斯拉，無論向你們要甚麼，你們要速速地備辦，
And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, make a decree to all the treasurers who are beyond the River, that whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, let it be done with all diligence,
7:22
መጠነ፡ ምእት፡ መክሊተ፡ ብሩር፡ ወመጠነ፡ ምእት፡ መስፈርተ፡ ቆሮስ፡ ሥርናየ፡ ወምእተ፡ መዛግብተ፡ ወይን፡ ወምእተ፡ መዛግብተ፡ ቅብዕ፡ ወፄወኒ፡ ዘአልቦ፡ ኊልቊ።
就是銀子直到一百他連得，麥子一百柯珥，酒一百罷特，油一百罷特，鹽不限其數，都要備辦。
up to a hundred talents of silver, up to a hundred cors of wheat, up to a hundred baths of wine, up to a hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.
7:23
ለኵሉ፡ በሕጉ፡ ለአምላከ፡ ሰማይ፡ ይኩኖ፡ ወዑቁ፡ ኢታጽርዑ፡ ቤተ፡ አማላከ፡ ሰማይ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይኩን፡ መንሱት፡ ላዕለ፡ መንግሥቱ፡ ለንጉሥ፡ ወላዕለ፡ ውሉዱ።
凡天上之神所吩咐的，當為天上神的殿詳細辦理；你們要謹慎，免得疏忽神殿的事，致使忿怒臨到王和王眾子的國。
Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be done diligently for the house of the God of heaven; and take heed lest you neglect the house of the God of heaven, lest wrath come upon the kingdom of the king and his sons.
7:24
ወአንትሙኒ፡ ካህናት፡ ወሌዋውያን፡ ኵልክሙ፡ ዘምሩ፡ ወናታናውያን፡ ወዓፀውትኒ፡ ወእለኒ፡ ይገብሩ፡ ቤተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወጸባሕተኒ፡ ኢትንሥኡ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘትቀንይዎሙ።
我又曉諭你們，至於祭司、利未人、歌唱的、守門的、殿役，和一切在這神殿做工的人，你們無權向他們勒索進貢、交課、納稅。
And we also inform you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, the singers, gatekeepers, temple servants, and all who do the work of this house of God, you have no authority to impose tribute, tax, or toll upon them.
7:25
ወአንተኒ፡ እዝራ፡ በከመ፡ ጥበቢሁ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ዘላዕሌከ፡ ሢም፡ ጸሐፍተ፡ ወመኳምምጸ፡ ከመ፡ ይኰንንዎሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ ሕዝብ፡ እለ፡ ማዕዶተ፡ ፈለግ፡ ወለኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ የአምሩ፡ ሕጎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወለእለሰ፡ እለ፡ ኢየአምሩ፡ ምህርዎሙ።
以斯拉啊，要照著你神賜你的智慧，將通達你神律法的人立為士師、審判官，治理河西一切的百姓，就是凡認識你神律法的人；那不認識的，你們要教導他。
And you, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your God which is in your hand, appoint scribes and judges, who may judge all the people who are beyond the River, even all such as know the law of your God; and teach those who do not know it.
7:26
ወለኵሉ፡ ዘኢገብረ፡ ሕገ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወሕገ፡ ንጉሥ፡ በጊዜሃ፡ ይትኰነን፡ ወዘኒ፡ ለሞት፡ ወዘኒ፡ ለተበርብሮ፡ ወዘኒ፡ ለመቅሠፍት፡ ወዘኒ፡ ለግብርናት።
凡不遵行你神律法和王命令的人，就當立時定他的罪，或處死，或充軍，或抄家，或囚禁。」
And whoever will not keep the law of your God and the law of the king, let judgment be executed upon him without delay, whether it be to death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
7:27
ወይቤ፡ እዝራ፡ ይትባረክ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላኮሙ፡ ለአበዊነ፡ ዘወደየ፡ ውስተ፡ ልቡ፡ ለንጉሥ፡ ከመ፡ ያከብር፡ ቤቶ፡ ዘበኢየሩሳሌም።
以斯拉說：「耶和華我們列祖的神是應當稱頌的，因他使王起這心意，要尊崇耶路撒冷耶和華的殿，
And Ezra said, Blessed be Jehovah the God of our fathers, who has put such a thing as this into the heart of the king, to glorify His house which is in Jerusalem,
7:28
ወፈነወ፡ ምሕረቶ፡ ላዕሌየ፡ በቅድመ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ወመማክርቲሁ፡ ወኵሎሙ፡ መላእክተ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ዓበይት፡ ወጸናዕኩ፡ አነ፡ በእደ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ቡርክት፡ እንተ፡ ሀለወት፡ ላዕሌየ፡ ወአስተጋባእኩ፡ እምነ፡ እስራኤል፡ መላእክቲሆሙ፡ ይዕርጉ፡ ምስሌየ።
又在王和謀士，並王的一切大臣面前向我施恩。因耶和華我神蒙福的手幫助我，我便得了力量，從以色列中召集首領，與我一同上去。」
and has extended His mercy to me before the king and his counselors, and before all the mighty princes of the king. And I was strengthened by the hand of Jehovah my God which was blessed upon me, and I gathered out of Israel leading men to go up with me.
