6:1
ወእንዘ፡ የሐውሩ፡ ፍኖቶሙ፡ በጽሑ፡ በጣኔስ፡ ውስተ፡ ተከዚ፡ ምሴተ፡ ወቤቱ፡ በህየ።
他們在路上前行，傍晚時來到底格里斯河邊，就在那裡住宿。
Now as they went on their journey, they came at evening to the river Tigris, and they lodged there.
6:2
ወወረደ፡ ውእቱ፡ ወልድ፡ ይትሐፀብ፡ ወሠረረ፡ ላዕሌሁ፡ ዓሣ፡ እምውስተ፡ ተከዚ፡ ወፈቀደ፡ የሐጦ፡ ለውእቱ፡ ወልድ።
那少年人下到河邊洗濯，忽有一條魚從河裡躍出，幾乎要把那少年人吞下去。
But the young man went down to wash himself, and a fish leaped out of the river, and would have swallowed up the young man.
6:3
ወይቤሎ፡ መልአክ፡ አኃዞ፡ ለውእቱ፡ ዓሣ፡ ወአኃዞ፡ ለዓሣ፡ ውእቱ፡ ወልድ፡ ወአውጽኦ፡ ውስተ፡ ምድር።
天使對他說：「抓住這條魚！」那少年人便抓住魚，把牠拖上岸來。
But the angel said to him, “Grab the fish!” So the young man grabbed the fish, and hauled it up onto the land.
6:4
ወይቤሎ፡ ዝኩ፡ መልአክ፡ ምትሮ፡ ለውእቱ፡ ዓሣ፡ ወንሣእ፡ ልቦ፡ ወከብዶ፡ ወሐሞቶ፡ ወአጽንዕ፡ ዓቂቦቶ።
天使對他說：「把這魚剖開，取出魚的心、肝和膽，留在你身邊。」
And the angel said to him, “Cut the fish open, and take the heart, the liver, and the gall, and keep them with you.”
6:5
ወገብረ፡ ውእቱ፡ ወልድ፡ በከመ፡ አዘዞ፡ መልአክ፡ ወዓሣሁኒ፡ ጠበሱ፡ ወበልዑ፡ ወጌሡ፡ ክልኤሆሙ፡ ወበጽሑ፡ በጣኔስ።
那少年人就照天使所吩咐的去行；他們把魚烤了喫。二人又繼續上路，直到走近厄克巴塔納。
And the young man did as the angel commanded him; but they roasted the fish, and ate it. And they both went on their way, till they drew near to Ecbatana.
6:6
ወይቤሎ፡ ዝኩ፡ ወልድ፡ ለመልአክ፡ አንተ፡ እኁየ፡ አዛርያ፡ ምንት፡ ውእቱ፡ ከብዱ፡ ወልቡ፡ ወሐሞቱ፡ ለዝንቱ፡ ዓሣ።
那少年人問天使說：「阿匝黎雅弟兄，這魚的心、肝和膽有什麼用處呢？」
The young man said to the angel, “Brother Azarias, of what use is the heart, the liver, and the gall of the fish?”
6:7
ወይቤሎ፡ ልቡ፡ ወከብዱ፡ ለእመቦ፡ ዘየሐምሞ፡ ጋኔን፡ እኵይ፡ ዘንተ፡ ያጠይሱ፡ ቅድሜሁ፡ ለውእቱ፡ ብእሲ፡ ወእመኒ፡ ብእሲት፡ ወኢየሐምም፡ እንከ።
天使對他說：「論到那心和肝：若有魔鬼或惡靈攪擾人，就當把這些焚燒，在那男人或女人面前生煙薰他，那禍患就必逃離。
He said to him, “About the heart and the liver: If a demon or an evil spirit troubles anyone, we must burn those and make smoke of them before the man or the woman, and the affliction will flee.
6:8
ወሐሞቶሰ፡ ይኵሕልዎ፡ ለብእሲ፡ ዘቦቱ፡ ጢስ፡ ውስተ፡ አዕይንቲሁ፡ ወየሐዩ።
至於那膽，可用來抹在眼中生白膜的人身上，他便得醫治。」
But as for the gall, it is good to anoint a man that has white films in his eyes, and he will be healed.”
6:9
ወሶበ፡ ቀርቡ፡ ኀበ፡ ራጊስ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ውእቱ፡ መልአክ፡ አንተ፡ እኁየ፡ ዮምኬ፡ ኀበ፡ ራጉኤል፡ ነኅድር።
他們將近辣革斯的時候，
But when they drew near to Rages,
6:10
ወአዝማዲከ፡ ውእቱ፡ ወቦ፡ አሐቲ፡ ወለት፡ ዘስማ፡ ሣራ፡ ወእትናገርኑ፡ በእንቲአሃ፡ የሀቡከ፡ ትኩንከ፡ ብእሲተ።
天使對那少年人說：「弟兄，今天我們要在辣古耳家裡住宿。他是你的親族，有一個獨生女兒名叫撒辣。我必為你提親，使她許配給你為妻。
the angel said to the young man, “Brother, today we will lodge with Raguel. He is your kinsman. He has an only daughter named Sarah. I will speak about her, that she should be given to you for a wife.
6:11
እስመ፡ ለከ፡ ይበጽሐከ፡ ርስታ፡ ወአንተ፡ ሀሎከ፡ እምነ፡ አዝማዲሃ፡ ወወለታኒ፡ ሠናይት፡ ወጠባብ።
因為她的產業該歸於你，惟有你是她的近親。
For her inheritance belongs to you, and you only are of her kindred.
6:12
ወይእዜኒ፡ ስምዓኒ፡ ወእትናገሮ፡ ለአቡሃ፡ ወሶበ፡ ገባዕነ፡ እምነ፡ ራጊስ፡ ንገብር፡ በዓለ፡ እስመ፡ ኢይገብር፡ የሀባ፡ ራጉኤል፡ ለካልዕ፡ ሰብእ፡ በእንተ፡ ሕገ፡ ሙሴ፡ ወእምአብደረ፡ ትሙት፡ እስመ፡ ርስታ፡ ለከ፡ ይበጽሐከ፡ እምኵሉ፡ ሰብእ።
這女子又美貌又聰慧。如今你聽我的話，我必對她父親提說。我們從辣革斯回來時，就為你們辦婚事；因為我知道辣古耳斷不能照梅瑟的律法把她嫁給別人，否則他就要受死的刑罰，因為承受她產業的權利原屬於你，而非別人。」
The maid is fair and wise. And now hear me, and I will speak to her father. When we return from Rages we will celebrate the marriage; for I know that Raguel may in no way marry her to another according to the law of Moses, or else he would be liable to death, because it belongs to you to take the inheritance, rather than any other.”
6:13
ወይቤሎ፡ ዝኩ፡ ወልድ፡ ለውእቱ፡ መልአክ፡ አንተ፡ እኁየ፡ አዛርያ፡ ሰማዕኩ፡ አነ፡ ከመ፡ አስተዋሰብዋ፡ ለይእቲ፡ ወለት፡ ለሰብእቱ፡ ዕደው፡ ወኵሎሙ፡ ሞቱ፡ አመ፡ ከብካብ።
那少年人對天使說：「阿匝黎雅弟兄，我聽說這女子曾許配給七個男子，他們都死在洞房裡了。
Then the young man said to the angel, “Brother Azarias, I have heard that this maid has been given to seven men, and that they all perished in the bride-chamber.
6:14
ወይእዜኒ፡ ባሕቲትየ፡ አነ፡ ለአቡየ፡ እፈርህ፡ ሶበ፡ ቦእኩ፡ ኢይሙት፡ ወኢይወርድ፡ ሕይወቶሙ፡ ለአቡየ፡ ወእምየ፡ በፃዕር፡ ወአልቦሙ፡ ካልዕ፡ ወልድ፡ ዘይቀብሮሙ።
如今我是我父親的獨生子，我害怕進去後也像在我以前的那些人一樣死去。原來有一個魔鬼戀慕她，那魔鬼不害別人，只害近她的人。我恐怕一死，便使我父母因我含悲下到陰間，因為他們再沒有別的兒子可以埋葬他們。」
Now I am the only son of my father, and I am afraid, lest I go in and die, even as those before me. For a demon loves her, which harms no man, but those which come to her. Now I fear lest I die, and bring my father’s and my mother’s life to the grave with sorrow because of me. They have no other son to bury them.”
6:15
ወይቤሎ፡ ውእቱ፡ መልአክ፡ ኢትዜከርኑ፡ ቃለ፡ ዘአዘዘከ፡ አቡከ፡ ከመ፡ ትንሣእ፡ ለከ፡ ብእሲተ፡ አምአዝማዲከ፡ ወይእዜኒ፡ ስምዐኒ፡ አንተ፡ እኁየ፡ ወበእንተ፡ ጋኔንሰ፡ ኢያኅዝንከ፡ እስመ፡ በዝንቱ፡ ሌሊት፡ ትትወሀብ፡ ለከ፡ ብእሲት፡ እምአዝማዲከ።
天使對他說：「你不記得你父親吩咐你的話，叫你娶本族的女子為妻嗎？如今你聽我的話，弟兄；她必作你的妻子。你不要為那魔鬼憂慮，因為今夜她就要許配給你為妻。
But the angel said to him, “Don’t you remember the words which your father commanded you, that you should take a wife of your own kindred? Now hear me, brother; for she will be your wife. Don’t worry about the demon; for this night she will be given you as wife.
6:16
ወሶበ፡ ቦእከ፡ ውስተ፡ ጽርሕከ፡ ንሣእ፡ ለከ፡ ሕራረ፡ ዕጣን፡ ወደይ፡ እምነ፡ ከብዱ፡ ወልቡ፡ ለዝኩ፡ ዓሣ፡ ወአጢስ፡ ቦቱ።
你進入洞房的時候，要取些焚香的餘灰，把那魚的心和肝放在上面，生煙薰它。
And when you come into the bride-chamber, you shall take the ashes of incense, and shall lay upon them some of the heart and liver of the fish, and shall make smoke with them.
6:17
ወሶበ፡ ፄነዎ፡ ለውእቱ፡ ጋኔን፡ ይጐይይ፡ ወኢይገብእ፡ ለዓለም፡ ወሶበ፡ ቦእከ፡ ኀቤሃ፡ ጽርሑ፡ ክልኤክሙ፡ ኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ መሐሪ፡ ወያድኅነክሙ፡ ወይምሕረክሙ፡ ወኢትፍርሁ፡ እንከ፡ እስመ፡ ኪያክሙ፡ አስተዳለወ፡ እምነ፡ ዓለም፡ ወአንተ፡ ታድኅና፡ ወተሐውር፡ ምስሌከ፡ ወእብለከ፡ ከመ፡ ትረክብ፡ ውሉደ፡ እምኔሃ፡ ወሰሚዖ፡ ጦብያ፡ አንከረ፡ ወተለዋ፡ ነፍሱ፡ ኀቤሃ፡ ጥቀ፡ ወበጽሑ፡ ውስተ፡ በጣኔስ።
那魔鬼一聞著，就必逃走，永不再來。但你近她之先，你們二人都要起來，向那施憐憫的神呼求。他必拯救你們，憐恤你們。不要害怕，因為她從起初就是為你預備的；你必拯救她，她也必與你同去。我想你必與她生養兒女。」
The demon will smell it, and flee away, and never come again any more. But when you go near to her, both of you rise up, and cry to God who is merciful. He will save you, and have mercy on you. Don’t be afraid, for she was prepared for you from the beginning; and you will save her, and she will go with you. And I suppose that you will have children with her.” When Tobias heard these things, he loved her, and his soul was strongly joined to her.
