10:1
ወጦቢትሰ፡ አቡሁ፡ ለጦብያ፡ ይኌልቊ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ወሶበ፡ ተፈጸመ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ዕድሜሆሙ፡ ወኢመጽኡ።
他的父親託彼特天天數算日子。一天又一天,他計算多俾亞去要多少日子,回來要多少日子。日子滿了,他的兒子卻還沒有回來,
Tobit his father counted every day. When the days of the journey were expired, and they didn’t come,
10:2
ይቤ፡ ዮጊ፡ ተኃፍረኑ፡ ወልድየ፡ አው፡ ይመውት፡ ገባኤል፡ ወኢረከበ፡ ዘይሁቦ፡ ብሩረ።
他便說:「莫非他在那裏被扣留了?或者加貝羅死了,沒有人把銀子給他?」
he said, “Is he perchance detained? Or is Gabael perchance dead, and there is no one to give him the money?”
10:3
ወተከዘ፡ ጥቀ።
他就開始憂愁起來。
He was sorely grieved.
10:4
ወትቤሎ፡ ብእሲቱ፡ ወልድየሰ፡ ሞተ፡ ወበእንተዝ፡ ጐንደየ፡ ወአኃዘጽ፡ ትብክዮ።
他的妻子安納說:「我的孩子死了,不再在活人中間了。」她便開始為她兒子哀哭,說:
But his wife said to him, “The child has perished, seeing he waits long.” She began to bewail him, and said,
10:5
ወትቤ፡ እምኢያኅዘነኒ፡ ወልድየ፡ ሶበ፡ አኮ፡ ዘአኅጐከኒ፡ ብርሃነ፡ አዕይንትየ።
「我的孩子,我讓你離去,我眼中的光啊,我真有禍了!」
“I care about nothing, my child, since I have let you go, the light of my eyes.”
10:6
ወይቤላ፡ አርምሚ፡ ወኢትትኃለፊ፡ ውእቱሰ፡ ሕያው።
託彼特對她說:「不要作聲,姊妹,不要擔憂,他平安無事。那與他同行的人是可靠的,又是我們的弟兄之一。姊妹,不要為他憂愁,他就快回來了。」
Tobit saih to her, “Hold your peace. Don’t worry. He is in good health.”
10:7
ወትቤሎ፡ ይእቲኒ፡ አርምም፡ አንተኒ፡ ወኢታስተአብደኒ፡ ወልድየሰ፡ ሞተ፡ ወተሐውር፡ ኵሎ፡ አሚረ፡ ትብክዮ፡ ውስተ፡ ፍኖት፡ እንተ፡ ኀበ፡ ሖረ፡ መዓልተ፡ እክለ፡ ኢትበልዕ፡ ወሌሊተ፡ ኢታረምም፡ እንዘ፡ ትበክዮ፡ ለጦብያ፡ ወልዳ፡ ወእስከ፡ ተፈጸመ፡ ዓሠርቱ፡ ወረቡዕ፡ ዕለት፡ መዋዕለ፡ በዓል፡ ዘአምሐሎ፡ ራጉኤል፡ ከመ፡ ኢይሑር፡ እስከ፡ አመ፡ ይትፌጸም፡ በዓል፡ ዘመርዓ።
她卻對他說:「你別作聲,不要欺哄我,我的孩子死了。」她天天跑出去,朝著她兒子離去的那條路張望,誰的話也不聽。日落時她進來,整夜哀哭,不能成眠,直到辣古耳所起誓要多俾亞在那裏度過的十四天婚期滿了。
And she said to him, “Hold your peace. Don’t deceive me. My child has perished.” And she went out every day into the way by which they went, and ate no bread in the day-time, and didn’t stop bewailing her son Tobias for whole nights, until the fourteen days of the wedding feast were expired, which Raguel had sworn that he should spend there. Then Tobias said to Raguel, “Send me away, for my father and my mother look no more to see me.”
10:8
ወእምዝ፡ ተፈጺሞ፡ መዋዕለ፡ በዓል፡ ይቤሎ፡ ጦብ፡ ለራጉኤል፡ ፈንወኒ፡ እንከሰ፡ እስመ፡ አቡየ፡ ወእምየ፡ ቀብፁኒ፡ ወኢይሴፈዉ፡ እንከ፡ ይርአዩኒ።
辣古耳所起誓要為他女兒守的十四天婚期滿了,多俾亞便進去見他,說:「請打發我回去吧。因為我知道,我父親和我母親已不指望再見到我了。如今我求你,父親,請打發我動身回到我父親那裏去;我已對你說過他怎樣讓我離去的情形。」
But his father-in-law said to him, “Stay with me, and I will send to your father, and they will declare to him how things go with you.”
10:9
ወይቤሎ፡ ሐሙሁ፡ ንበር፡ ኀቤየ፡ ወአነ፡ እልእክ፡ ኀበ፡ አቡከ፡ ከመ፡ ይንግርዎ፡ ዜናከ።
他的岳父辣古耳對他說:「孩子,住下吧,與我同住,我必打發使者到你父親託彼特那裏,把你的情形告訴他。」多俾亞卻對他說:「不必了,我求你打發我從這裏回到我父親那裏去。」
Tobias said, “No. Send me away to my father.”
10:10
ወይቤሎ፡ ጦብያ፡ አልቦ፡ ዳዕሙ፡ ፈንወኒ፡ ኀበ፡ አቡየ።
辣古耳便起來,把他的妻子撒辣交給多俾亞,又把自己所有的一半交給他:僕婢、牛羊、驢駝、衣服、銀錢和器皿。
Raguel arose, and gave him Sarah his wife, and half his goods, servants and cattle and money;
10:11
ወተንሥአ፡ ራጉኤል፡ ወወሀቦ፡ ሣራሃ፡ ብእሲቶ፡ ወመንፈቀ፡ ንዋዮሙ፡ ሰብአኒ፡ ወእንስሳሁኒ።
他平平安安地打發他們起程,並向他請安,對他說:「孩子,平安去吧,平平安安地回去。願天上的主使你和你的妻子撒辣順利,並願我在死前能見到你們的兒女。」
and he blessed them, and sent them away, saying, “The God of heaven will prosper you, my children, before I die.”
10:12
ወባረኮሙ፡ ወይቤሎሙ፡ እግዚአ፡ ሰማይ፡ ያሠኒ፡ ላዕሌክሙ፡ ደቂቅየ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ እሙት፡ ወይቤላ፡ ለወለቱ፡ አክብሪ፡ ታሕማኪ፡ እስመ፡ እምይእዜ፡ ዘመድኪ፡ ወንሕነሰ፡ ንስማዕ፡ ዜና፡ ሠናየ፡ በላዕሌኪ፡ ወሰዓማ፡ ወትቤሎ፡ እድና፡ ለጦብያ፡ አንተ፡ እኁየ፡ ዘአፈቅሮ፡ እግዚአ፡ ሰማይ፡ ይሠርሕከ፡ ወየሀብከ፡ ወልደ፡ እምነ፡ ሣራ፡ ወለትየ፡ እርአይ፡ ለከ፡ ከመ፡ እትፈሣሕ፡ በቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወናሁ፡ አማኅፀንኩከ፡ ወለትየ፡ ማኅፀንተ፡ ኢታኅዝና።
撒辣的父親又對他女兒說:「去你公婆那裏吧。因為從今以後,他們就是你的父母,如同生養你的一般。女兒,平安去吧。願我活著時常聽到關於你的好消息。」他向他們道別,便打發他們走了。
And he said to his daughter, “Honor your father-in-law and your mother-in-law. They are now your parents. Let me hear a good report of you. Then he kissed her. Edna said to Tobias, “May the Lord of heaven restore you, dear brother, and grant to me that I may see your children of my daughter Sarah, that I may rejoice before the Lord. Behold, I commit my daughter to you in special trust. Don’t cause her grief.
10:13
ወእምድኅረ፡ ሖረ፡ ጦብያ፡ ወባረኮ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ እስመ፡ ሠርሐ፡ ፍኖቶ፡ ወባረክዎ፡ ራጉኤል፡ ወእድና፡ ብእሲቱ፡ ወሖሩ፡ ወቀርቡ፡ ኀበ፡ ነነዌ።
厄得納也對多俾亞說:「孩子,親愛的弟兄,願主使你平安歸回。願我活著時能見到你和我女兒撒辣的兒女。我在主面前把我的女兒託付給你;你一生一世都不可使她憂傷。孩子,平安去吧。從今以後,我是你的母親,撒辣是你的姊妹。願我們眾人一生一世都同享順利。」她親吻了他們倆,平平安安地打發他們起程。
And Edna said to Tobias, Beloved brother, may the Lord of heaven restore you, and grant me to see your children by Sarah my daughter, that I may rejoice before the Lord. And behold, I commit my daughter to you in trust; do not grieve her. And Edna said to Tobias, My child and beloved brother, may the Lord restore you, and may I see your children while I live, and the children of Sarah my daughter, before I die. Before the Lord I commit my daughter to you in trust; do not grieve her all the days of your life. Go in peace, my child; from now on I am your mother, and Sarah is your sister. May we all prosper together all the days of our life. And she kissed them both, and sent them away in health.
