18:1
Dicebat autem et parabolam ad illos, quoniam oportet semper orare et non deficere,
耶穌設一個比喻，是要人常常禱告，不可灰心。
He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray and not give up,
18:2
dicens : Judex quidam erat in quadam civitate, qui Deum non timebat, et hominem non reverebatur.
說：「某城裏有一個官，不懼怕上帝，也不尊重世人。
saying, “There was a judge in a certain city who didn’t fear God and didn’t respect man.
18:3
Vidua autem quaedam erat in civitate illa, et veniebat ad eum, dicens : Vindica me de adversario meo.
那城裏有個寡婦，常到他那裏，說：『我有一個對頭，求你給我伸冤。』
A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, ‘Defend me from my adversary!’
18:4
Et nolebat per multum tempus. Post haec autem dixit intra se : Etsi Deum non timeo, nec hominem revereor :
他多日不准， 後來心裏說：『我雖不懼怕上帝，也不尊重世人，
He wouldn’t for a while; but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man,
18:5
tamen quia molesta est mihi haec vidua, vindicabo illam, ne in novissimo veniens sugillet me.
只因這寡婦煩擾我，我就給她伸冤吧，免得她常來纏磨我！』」
yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.’”
18:6
Ait autem Dominus : Audite quid judex iniquitatis dicit :
主說：「你們聽這不義之官所說的話。
The Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says.
18:7
Deus autem non faciet vindictam electorum suorum clamantium ad se die ac nocte, et patientiam habebit in illis ?
上帝的選民晝夜呼籲他，他縱然為他們忍了多時，豈不終久給他們伸冤嗎？
Won’t God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?
18:8
Dico vobis quia cito faciet vindictam illorum. Verumtamen Filius hominis veniens, putas, inveniet fidem in terra ?
我告訴你們，要快快地給他們伸冤了。然而，人子來的時候，遇得見世上有信德嗎？」
I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
18:9
Dixit autem et ad quosdam qui in se confidebant tamquam justi, et aspernabantur ceteros, parabolam istam :
耶穌向那些仗着自己是義人，藐視別人的，設一個比喻，
He also spoke this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others:
18:10
Duo homines ascenderunt in templum ut orarent : unus pharisaeus et alter publicanus.
說：「有兩個人上殿裏去禱告：一個是法利賽人，一個是稅吏。
“Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector.
18:11
Pharisaeus stans, haec apud se orabat : Deus, gratias ago tibi, quia non sum sicut ceteri hominum : raptores, injusti, adulteri, velut etiam hic publicanus :
法利賽人站着，自言自語地禱告說：『上帝啊，我感謝你，我不像別人勒索、不義、姦淫，也不像這個稅吏。
The Pharisee stood and prayed by himself like this: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like the rest of men: extortionists, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
18:12
jejuno bis in sabbato, decimas do omnium quae possideo.
我一個禮拜禁食兩次，凡我所得的都捐上十分之一。』
I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.’
18:13
Et publicanus a longe stans, nolebat nec oculos ad caelum levare : sed percutiebat pectus suum, dicens : Deus propitius esto mihi peccatori.
那稅吏遠遠地站着，連舉目望天也不敢，只捶着胸說：『上帝啊，開恩可憐我這個罪人！』
But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
18:14
Dico vobis, descendit hic justificatus in domum suam ab illo : quia omnis qui se exaltat, humiliabitur, et qui se humiliat, exaltabitur.
我告訴你們，這人回家去比那人倒算為義了；因為，凡自高的，必降為卑；自卑的，必升為高。」
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
18:15
Afferebant autem ad illum et infantes, ut eos tangeret. Quod cum viderent discipuli, increpabant illos.
有人抱着自己的嬰孩來見耶穌，要他摸他們；門徒看見就責備那些人。
They were also bringing their babies to him, that he might touch them. But when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
18:16
Jesus autem convocans illos, dixit : Sinite pueros venire ad me, et nolite vetare eos : talium est enim regnum Dei.
耶穌卻叫他們來，說：「讓小孩子到我這裏來，不要禁止他們，因為在上帝國的正是這樣的人。
Jesus summoned them, saying, “Allow the little children to come to me, and don’t hinder them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these.
18:17
Amen dico vobis, quicumque non acceperit regnum Dei sicut puer, non intrabit in illud.
我實在告訴你們，凡要承受上帝國的，若不像小孩子，斷不能進去。」
Most certainly, I tell you, whoever doesn’t receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”
18:18
Et interrogavit eum quidam princeps, dicens : Magister bone, quid faciens vitam aeternam possidebo ?
有一個官問耶穌說：「良善的夫子，我該做甚麼事才可以承受永生？」
A certain ruler asked him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
18:19
Dixit autem ei Jesus : Quid me dicis bonum ? nemo bonus nisi solus Deus.
耶穌對他說：「你為甚麼稱我是良善的？除了上帝一位之外，再沒有良善的。
Jesus asked him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good, except one: God.
18:20
Mandata nosti : non occides ; non moechaberis ; non furtum facies ; non falsum testimonium dices ; honora patrem tuum et matrem.
誡命你是曉得的：『不可姦淫；不可殺人；不可偷盜；不可作假見證；當孝敬父母。』」
You know the commandments: ‘Don’t commit adultery,’ ‘Don’t murder,’ ‘Don’t steal,’ ‘Don’t give false testimony,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’”
18:21
Qui ait : Haec omnia custodivi a juventute mea.
那人說：「這一切我從小都遵守了。」
He said, “I have observed all these things from my youth up.”
18:22
Quo audito, Jesus ait ei : Adhuc unum tibi deest : omnia quaecumque habes vende, et da pauperibus, et habebis thesaurum in caelo : et veni, sequere me.
耶穌聽見了，就說：「你還缺少一件：要變賣你一切所有的，分給窮人，就必有財寶在天上；你還要來跟從我。」
When Jesus heard these things, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute it to the poor. Then you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”
18:23
His ille auditis, contristatus est : quia dives erat valde.
他聽見這話，就甚憂愁，因為他很富足。
But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was very rich.
18:24
Videns autem Jesus illum tristem factum, dixit : Quam difficile, qui pecunias habent, in regnum Dei intrabunt !
耶穌看見他，就說：「有錢財的人進上帝的國是何等的難哪！
Jesus, seeing that he became very sad, said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!
18:25
facilius est enim camelum per foramen acus transire quam divitem intrare in regnum Dei.
駱駝穿過針的眼比財主進上帝的國還容易呢！」
For it is easier for a camel to enter in through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”
18:26
Et dixerunt qui audiebant : Et quis potest salvus fieri ?
聽見的人說：「這樣，誰能得救呢？」
Those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?”
18:27
Ait illis : Quae impossibilia sunt apud homines, possibilia sunt apud Deum.
耶穌說：「在人所不能的事，在上帝卻能。」
But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
18:28
Ait autem Petrus : Ecce nos dimisimus omnia et secuti sumus te.
彼得說：「看哪，我們已經撇下自己所有的跟從你了。」
Peter said, “Look, we have left everything and followed you.”
18:29
Qui dixit eis : Amen dico vobis, nemo est qui reliquit domum, aut parentes, aut fratres, aut uxorem, aut filios propter regnum Dei,
耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們，人為上帝的國撇下房屋，或是妻子、弟兄、父母、兒女，
He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for God’s Kingdom’s sake,
18:30
et non recipiat multo plura in hoc tempore, et in saeculo venturo vitam aeternam.
沒有在今世不得百倍，在來世不得永生的。」
who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the world to come, eternal life.”
18:31
Assumpsit autem Jesus duodecim, et ait illis : Ecce ascendimus Jerosolymam, et consummabuntur omnia quae scripta sunt per prophetas de Filio hominis :
耶穌帶着十二個門徒，對他們說：「看哪，我們上耶路撒冷去，先知所寫的一切事都要成就在人子身上。
He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be completed.
18:32
tradetur enim gentibus, et illudetur, et flagellabitur, et conspuetur :
他將要被交給外邦人；他們要戲弄他，凌辱他，吐唾沫在他臉上，
For he will be delivered up to the Gentiles, will be mocked, treated shamefully, and spit on.
18:33
et postquam flagellaverint, occident eum, et tertia die resurget.
並要鞭打他，殺害他；第三日他要復活。」
They will scourge and kill him. On the third day, he will rise again.”
18:34
Et ipsi nihil horum intellexerunt, et erat verbum istud absconditum ab eis, et non intelligebant quae dicebantur.
這些事門徒一樣也不懂得，意思乃是隱藏的；他們不曉得所說的是甚麼。
They understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they didn’t understand the things that were said.
18:35
Factum est autem, cum appropinquaret Jericho, caecus quidam sedebat secus viam, mendicans.
耶穌將近耶利哥的時候，有一個瞎子坐在路旁討飯。
As he came near Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road, begging.
18:36
Et cum audiret turbam praetereuntem, interrogabat quid hoc esset.
聽見許多人經過，就問是甚麼事。
Hearing a multitude going by, he asked what this meant.
18:37
Dixerunt autem ei quod Jesus Nazarenus transiret.
他們告訴他，是拿撒勒人耶穌經過。
They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
18:38
Et clamavit, dicens : Jesu, fili David, miserere mei.
他就呼叫說：「大衛的子孫耶穌啊，可憐我吧！」
He cried out, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”
18:39
Et qui praeibant, increpabant eum ut taceret. Ipse vero multo magis clamabat : Fili David, miserere mei.
在前頭走的人就責備他，不許他作聲；他卻越發喊叫說：「大衛的子孫，可憐我吧！」
Those who led the way rebuked him, that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”
18:40
Stans autem Jesus jussit illum adduci ad se. Et cum appropinquasset, interrogavit illum,
耶穌站住，吩咐把他領過來，到了跟前，就問他說：
Standing still, Jesus commanded him to be brought to him. When he had come near, he asked him,
18:41
dicens : Quid tibi vis faciam ? At ille dixit : Domine, ut videam.
「你要我為你做甚麼？」他說：「主啊，我要能看見。」
“What do you want me to do?” He said, “Lord, that I may see again.”
18:42
Et Jesus dixit illi : Respice, fides tua te salvum fecit.
耶穌說：「你可以看見！你的信救了你了。」
Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight. Your faith has healed you.”
18:43
Et confestim vidit, et sequebatur illum magnificans Deum. Et omnis plebs ut vidit, dedit laudem Deo.
瞎子立刻看見了，就跟隨耶穌，一路歸榮耀與上帝。眾人看見這事，也讚美上帝。
Immediately he received his sight and followed him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, praised God.
