147:1
הַ֥לְלוּ־יָ֨הּ׀ כִּי־ט֭וֹב זַמְּרָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ כִּי־נָ֝עִ֗ים נָאוָ֥ה תְהִלָּֽה׃
αλληλουια Αγγαιου καὶ Ζαχαριου αἰνεῖτε τὸν κύριον ὅτι ἀγαθὸν ψαλμός τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν ἡδυνθείη αἴνεσις
Alleluja. Laudate Dominum, quoniam bonus est psalmus ; Deo nostro sit jucunda, decoraque laudatio.
—
Praise Yah, for it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to praise him.
147:2
בּוֹנֵ֣ה יְרוּשָׁלַ֣͏ִם יְהֹוָ֑ה נִדְחֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל יְכַנֵּֽס׃
οἰκοδομῶν Ιερουσαλημ ὁ κύριος καὶ τὰς διασπορὰς τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐπισυνάξει
Aedificans Jerusalem Dominus, dispersiones Israëlis congregabit :
ሀሌሉያ ። ሰብሕዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እስመ ፡ ሠናይ ፡ መዝሙር ፤ ወለአምላክነ ፡ ሐዋዝ ፡ ሰብሖ ።
Yahweh builds up Jerusalem. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
147:3
הָ֭רֹפֵא לִשְׁב֣וּרֵי לֵ֑ב וּ֝מְחַבֵּ֗שׁ לְעַצְּבוֹתָֽם׃
ὁ ἰώμενος τοὺς συντετριμμένους τὴν καρδίαν καὶ δεσμεύων τὰ συντρίμματα αὐτῶν
qui sanat contritos corde, et alligat contritiones eorum ;
የሐንጻ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፤ ወያስተጋብእ ፡ ዝርወቶሙ ፡ ለእስራኤል ።
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
147:4
מוֹנֶ֣ה מִ֭סְפָּר לַכּוֹכָבִ֑ים לְ֝כֻלָּ֗ם שֵׁמ֥וֹת יִקְרָֽא׃
ὁ ἀριθμῶν πλήθη ἄστρων καὶ πᾶσιν αὐτοῖς ὀνόματα καλῶν
qui numerat multitudinem stellarum, et omnibus eis nomina vocat.
ዘይፌውሶሙ ፡ ለቍሱላነ ፡ ልብ ፤ ወይፀምም ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ቍስሎሙ ።
He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names.
147:5
גָּד֣וֹל אֲדוֹנֵ֣ינוּ וְרַב־כֹּ֑חַ לִ֝תְבוּנָת֗וֹ אֵ֣ין מִסְפָּֽר׃
μέγας ὁ κύριος ἡμῶν καὶ μεγάλη ἡ ἰσχὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ τῆς συνέσεως αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἔστιν ἀριθμός
Magnus Dominus noster, et magna virtus ejus, et sapientiae ejus non est numerus.
ዘይኌልቆሙ ፡ ለከዋክብት ፡ በምልኦሙ ፤ ወይጼውዖሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ በበአስማቲሆሙ ።
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.
147:6
מְעוֹדֵ֣ד עֲנָוִ֣ים יְהֹוָ֑ה מַשְׁפִּ֖יל רְשָׁעִ֣ים עֲדֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃
ἀναλαμβάνων πραεῖς ὁ κύριος ταπεινῶν δὲ ἁμαρτωλοὺς ἕως τῆς γῆς
Suscipiens mansuetos Dominus ; humilians autem peccatores usque ad terram.
ዐቢይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወዐቢይ ፡ ኀይሉ ፤ ወአልቦ ፡ ኍልቆ ፡ ጥበቢሁ ።
Yahweh upholds the humble. He brings the wicked down to the ground.
147:7
עֱנ֣וּ לַֽיהֹוָ֣ה בְּתוֹדָ֑ה זַמְּר֖וּ לֵאלֹהֵ֣ינוּ בְכִנּֽוֹר׃
ἐξάρξατε τῷ κυρίῳ ἐν ἐξομολογήσει ψάλατε τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν ἐν κιθάρᾳ
Praecinite Domino in confessione ; psallite Deo nostro in cithara.
ያነሥኦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለየዋሃን ፤ ወያኀስሮሙ ፡ ለኃጥኣን ፡ እስከ ፡ ምድር ።
Sing to Yahweh with thanksgiving. Sing praises on the harp to our God,
147:8
הַֽמְכַסֶּ֬ה שָׁמַ֨יִם׀ בְּעָבִ֗ים הַמֵּכִ֣ין לָאָ֣רֶץ מָטָ֑ר הַמַּצְמִ֖יחַ הָרִ֣ים חָצִֽיר׃
τῷ περιβάλλοντι τὸν οὐρανὸν ἐν νεφέλαις τῷ ἑτοιμάζοντι τῇ γῇ ὑετόν τῷ ἐξανατέλλοντι ἐν ὄρεσι χόρτον καὶ χλόην τῇ δουλείᾳ τῶν ἀνθρώπων
Qui operit caelum nubibus, et parat terrae pluviam ; qui producit in montibus foenum, et herbam servituti hominum ;
ሰብሕዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በአሚን ፤ ወዘምሩ ፡ ለአምላክነ ፡ በመሰንቆ ።
who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains.
147:9
נוֹתֵ֣ן לִבְהֵמָ֣ה לַחְמָ֑הּ לִבְנֵ֥י עֹ֝רֵ֗ב אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִקְרָֽאוּ׃
διδόντι τοῖς κτήνεσι τροφὴν αὐτῶν καὶ τοῖς νεοσσοῖς τῶν κοράκων τοῖς ἐπικαλουμένοις αὐτόν
qui dat jumentis escam ipsorum, et pullis corvorum invocantibus eum.
ዘይገለብቦ ፡ ለሰማይ ፡ በደመና ፡ ወያስተዴሉ ፡ ክረምተ ፡ ለምድር ፤
He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.
147:10
לֹ֤א בִגְבוּרַ֣ת הַסּ֣וּס יֶחְפָּ֑ץ לֹא־בְשׁוֹקֵ֖י הָאִ֣ישׁ יִרְצֶֽה׃
οὐκ ἐν τῇ δυναστείᾳ τοῦ ἵππου θελήσει οὐδὲ ἐν ταῖς κνήμαις τοῦ ἀνδρὸς εὐδοκεῖ
Non in fortitudine equi voluntatem habebit, nec in tibiis viri beneplacitum erit ei.
ዘያበቍል ፡ ሣዕረ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አድባር ፡ ወኀመልማል ፡ ለቅኔ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ።
He doesn’t delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
147:11
רוֹצֶ֣ה יְ֭הֹוָה אֶת־יְרֵאָ֑יו אֶת־הַֽמְיַחֲלִ֥ים לְחַסְדּֽוֹ׃
εὐδοκεῖ κύριος ἐν τοῖς φοβουμένοις αὐτὸν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἐλπίζουσιν ἐπὶ τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ
Beneplacitum est Domino super timentes eum, et in eis qui sperant super misericordia ejus.
ዘይሁቦሙ ፡ ሲሳዮሙ ፡ ለእንስሳ ፤ ወለእጕለ ፡ ቋዓት ፡ እለ ፡ ይጼውዕዎ ። ኢይፈቅድ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ ፈረስ ፤ ወኢይሠምር ፡ በአቍያጸ ፡ ብእሲ ። ይሠምር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በእለ ፡ ይፈርህዎ ፤ ወበኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይትዌከሉ ፡ በምሕረቱ ።
Yahweh takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.
147:12
שַׁבְּחִ֣י יְ֭רוּשָׁלַ͏ִם אֶת־יְהֹוָ֑ה הַֽלְלִ֖י אֱלֹהַ֣יִךְ צִיּֽוֹן׃
αλληλουια Αγγαιου καὶ Ζαχαριου ἐπαίνει Ιερουσαλημ τὸν κύριον αἴνει τὸν θεόν σου Σιων
Alleluja. Lauda, Jerusalem, Dominum ; lauda Deum tuum, Sion.
ሀሌሉያ ። ትሴብሖ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፤ ሰብሕዮ ፡ ለአምላክኪ ፡ ጽዮን ።
Praise Yahweh, Jerusalem! Praise your God, Zion!
147:13
כִּֽי־חִ֭זַּק בְּרִיחֵ֣י שְׁעָרָ֑יִךְ בֵּרַ֖ךְ בָּנַ֣יִךְ בְּקִרְבֵּֽךְ׃
ὅτι ἐνίσχυσεν τοὺς μοχλοὺς τῶν πυλῶν σου εὐλόγησεν τοὺς υἱούς σου ἐν σοί
Quoniam confortavit seras portarum tuarum ; benedixit filiis tuis in te.
እስመ ፡ አጽንዐ ፡ መናስግተ ፡ ኆኃቲኪ ፤ ወባረኮሙ ፡ ለውሉድኪ ፡ በውስቴትኪ ።
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has blessed your children within you.
147:14
הַשָּׂם־גְּבוּלֵ֥ךְ שָׁל֑וֹם חֵ֥לֶב חִ֝טִּ֗ים יַשְׂבִּיעֵֽךְ׃
ὁ τιθεὶς τὰ ὅριά σου εἰρήνην καὶ στέαρ πυροῦ ἐμπιπλῶν σε
Qui posuit fines tuos pacem, et adipe frumenti satiat te.
ወረሰየ ፡ ሰላመ ፡ ለበሓውርትኪ ፤ ወአጽገበኪ ፡ ቄቅሐ ፡ ስርናይ ።
He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.
147:15
הַשֹּׁלֵ֣חַ אִמְרָת֣וֹ אָ֑רֶץ עַד־מְ֝הֵרָ֗ה יָר֥וּץ דְּבָרֽוֹ׃
ὁ ἀποστέλλων τὸ λόγιον αὐτοῦ τῇ γῇ ἕως τάχους δραμεῖται ὁ λόγος αὐτοῦ
Qui emittit eloquium suum terrae : velociter currit sermo ejus.
ዘይፌኑ ፡ ቃሎ ፡ ለምድር ፤ ወፍጡነ ፡ ይረውጽ ፡ ነቢቡ ።
He sends out his commandment to the earth. His word runs very swiftly.
147:16
הַנֹּתֵ֣ן שֶׁ֣לֶג כַּצָּ֑מֶר כְּ֝פ֗וֹר כָּאֵ֥פֶר יְפַזֵּֽר׃
τοῦ διδόντος χιόνα ὡσεὶ ἔριον ὁμίχλην ὡσεὶ σποδὸν πάσσοντος
Qui dat nivem sicut lanam ; nebulam sicut cinerem spargit.
ዘይሁብ ፡ በረደ ፡ ከመ ፡ ፀምር ፤ ወይዘርዎ ፡ ለጊሜ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሐመድ ።
He gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes.
147:17
מַשְׁלִ֣יךְ קַֽרְח֣וֹ כְפִתִּ֑ים לִפְנֵ֥י קָ֝רָת֗וֹ מִ֣י יַעֲמֹֽד׃
βάλλοντος κρύσταλλον αὐτοῦ ὡσεὶ ψωμούς κατὰ πρόσωπον ψύχους αὐτοῦ τίς ὑποστήσεται
Mittit crystallum suam sicut buccellas : ante faciem frigoris ejus quis sustinebit ?
ወያወርድ ፡ በረደ ፡ ከመ ፡ ፍተታት ፤ መኑ ፡ ይትቃወሞ ፡ ለቍሩ ።
He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold?
147:18
יִשְׁלַ֣ח דְּבָר֣וֹ וְיַמְסֵ֑ם יַשֵּׁ֥ב ר֝וּח֗וֹ יִזְּלוּ־מָֽיִם׃
ἀποστελεῖ τὸν λόγον αὐτοῦ καὶ τήξει αὐτά πνεύσει τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτοῦ καὶ ῥυήσεται ὕδατα
Emittet verbum suum, et liquefaciet ea ; flabit spiritus ejus, et fluent aquae.
ይፌኑ ፡ ቃሎ ፡ ወይመስዎ ፤ ያነፍኅ ፡ መንፈሶ ፡ ወያውሕዝ ፡ ማያተ ።
He sends out his word, and melts them. He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
147:19
מַגִּ֣יד דְּבָרָ֣ו לְיַעֲקֹ֑ב חֻקָּ֥יו וּ֝מִשְׁפָּטָ֗יו לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
ἀπαγγέλλων τὸν λόγον αὐτοῦ τῷ Ιακωβ δικαιώματα καὶ κρίματα αὐτοῦ τῷ Ισραηλ
Qui annuntiat verbum suum Jacob, justitias et judicia sua Israël.
ዘነገረ ፡ ቃሎ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፤ ፍትሖ ፡ ወኵነኔሁ ፡ ለእስራኤል ።
He shows his word to Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances to Israel.
147:20
לֹ֘א־עָ֤שָׂה כֵ֨ן׀ לְכׇל־גּ֗וֹי וּמִשְׁפָּטִ֥ים בַּל־יְדָע֗וּם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ {פ}
οὐκ ἐποίησεν οὕτως παντὶ ἔθνει καὶ τὰ κρίματα αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐδήλωσεν αὐτοῖς
Non fecit taliter omni nationi, et judicia sua non manifestavit eis. Alleluja.
ወኢገብረ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ለባዕዳን ፡ አሕዛብ ፤ ወኢነገሮሙ ፡ ፍትሖ ።
He has not done this for just any nation. They don’t know his ordinances. Praise Yah!
