3:1
ምንትኑ እንከ ረባኁ ለተይህዶ ወምንትኑ ስላጤሃ ለግዝረት ።
Then what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the profit of circumcision?
這樣說來，猶太人有甚麼長處？割禮有甚麼益處呢？
3:2
ብዙኅ በኵሉ ምግባር ወቅድመ ውእቱ ተአምኖ በቃለ እግዚአብሔር ።
Much in every way! Because first of all, they were entrusted with the revelations of God.
凡事大有好處：第一是上帝的聖言交託他們。
3:3
ወእመኒ ቦ እለ ኢየአምኑ ኢአሚነ ዚኣሆሙኑ ይከልእ ባዕደ ከመ ኢይእመን በእግዚአብሔር ሐሰ ።
For what if some were without faith? Will their lack of faith nullify the faithfulness of God?
即便有不信的，這有何妨呢？難道他們的不信就廢掉上帝的信嗎？
3:4
እስመ እግዚአብሔር ጻድቅ ወኵሉ ሰብእ ሐሳዊ እስመ ከመዝ ይብል መጽሐፍ «ከመ ትጽደቅ በነቢብከ ወትማዕ በኵነኔከ ።»
May it never be! Yes, let God be found true, but every man a liar. As it is written, “that you might be justified in your words, and might prevail when you come into judgment.”
斷乎不能！不如說，上帝是真實的，人都是虛謊的。如經上所記： 你責備人的時候，顯為公義； 被人議論的時候，可以得勝。
3:5
ወእመሰ በዓመፃ ዚኣየኑ ይቀውም ጽድቀ እግዚአብሔር ምንተ እንከ ንብል ይዔምፅኑ እግዚአብሔር ሶበ ያመጽእ መቅሠፍተ ላዕለ ሰብእ ሐሰ ወዘኒ እነብብ ሕገ ሰብእ እነብብ ።
But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of God, what will we say? Is God unrighteous who inflicts wrath? I speak like men do.
我且照着人的常話說，我們的不義若顯出上帝的義來，我們可以怎麼說呢？上帝降怒，是他不義嗎？
3:6
ወእፎኑመ እንከ ይኴንን እግዚአብሔር ዓለመ ።
May it never be! For then how will God judge the world?
斷乎不是！若是這樣，上帝怎能審判世界呢？
3:7
ወእመሰ ጽድቅ ውእቱ ቃለ እግዚአብሔር ወበሐሰተ ዚኣየ ተዐውቀ ዕበዩ ወስብሐቲሁ ለምንት እንከ ይኴንነኒ ከመ ኃጥእ ።
For if the truth of God through my lie abounded to his glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?
若上帝的真實，因我的虛謊越發顯出他的榮耀，為甚麼我還受審判，好像罪人呢？
3:8
ቦኑ እንጋ ንሕነ ዘከመ ይፀርፉ ላዕሌነ እለ ይፀርፉ ወይትሔዘቡነ ከመ ንሕነ ንብል ንግበር እኩየ ከመ ንርከብ ሠናየ ወሎሙሰ ጽኑሕ ደይኖሙ ።
Why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), “Let’s do evil, that good may come?” Those who say so are justly condemned.
為甚麼不說，我們可以作惡以成善呢？這是毀謗我們的人說我們有這話。這等人定罪是該當的。
3:9
ምንተ እንከ ንብል ናሁ ወዳእነ ግዕዝናሆሙ ለአይሁዳዊ ወለአረማዊ እስመ ኵሎሙ ስሕቱ ።
What then? Are we better than they? No, in no way. For we previously warned both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.
這卻怎麼樣呢？我們比他們強嗎？決不是的！因我們已經證明：猶太人和希臘人都在罪惡之下。
3:10
በከመ ይብል መጽሐፍ «አልቦ ጻድቅ ወአልቦ ጠቢብ ።
As it is written, “There is no one righteous; no, not one.
就如經上所記： 沒有義人，連一個也沒有。
3:11
ወአልቦ ዘየኃሥሦ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after God.
沒有明白的； 沒有尋求上帝的；
3:12
ኵሉ ዐረየ ወኅቡረ ዐለወ አልቦ ዘይገብራ ለሠናይት አልቦ ወኢአሐዱ ።
They have all turned away. They have together become unprofitable. There is no one who does good, no, not so much as one.”
都是偏離正路， 一同變為無用。 沒有行善的，連一個也沒有。
3:13
ከመ መቃብር ክሡት ጐራዒቶሙ ወጸለሐዉ በልሳናቲሆሙ ።
“Their throat is an open tomb. With their tongues they have used deceit.” “The poison of vipers is under their lips.”
他們的喉嚨是敞開的墳墓； 他們用舌頭弄詭詐， 嘴唇裏有虺蛇的毒氣，
3:14
ሕምዘ አርዌ ምድር ታሕተ ከናፍሪሆሙ መሪር አፉሆሙ ወምሉእ መርገመ ።
“Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”
滿口是咒罵苦毒。
3:15
በሊኅ እገሪሆሙ ለክዒወ ደም ።
“Their feet are swift to shed blood.
殺人流血， 他們的腳飛跑，
3:16
ኀሣር ወቅጥቃጤ ውስተ ፍኖቶሙ ።
Destruction and misery are in their ways.
所經過的路便行殘害暴虐的事。
3:17
ወኢየአምርዋ ለፍኖተ ሰላም ።
The way of peace, they haven’t known.”
平安的路，他們未曾知道；
3:18
ወአልቦ ፍርሃተ እግዚአብሔር ቅድመ አዕይንቲሆሙ ።»
“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
他們眼中不怕上帝。
3:19
ነአምር ከመ ኵሉ ዘይብል ኦሪት ለእለ ውስተ ኦሪት ይቤሎሙ ከመ ይትፈፀም ኵሉ አፍ ወይኩን ግሩረ ኵሉ ዓለም ለእግዚአብሔር ።
Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.
我們曉得律法上的話都是對律法以下之人說的，好塞住各人的口，叫普世的人都伏在上帝審判之下。
3:20
እስመ ኢይጸድቅ ኵሉ ዘነፍስ በገቢረ ሕገገ ኦሪት በቅድመ እግዚአብሔር እስመ እምኦሪት ተዐውቀት ኀጢአት ።
Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
所以凡有血氣的，沒有一個因行律法能在上帝面前稱義，因為律法本是叫人知罪。
3:21
ይእዜሰኬ አስተርአየት ጽድቀ እግዚአብሔር እንዘ ኢይትገበር ሕገገ ኦሪት ።
But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets;
但如今，上帝的義在律法以外已經顯明出來，有律法和先知為證：
3:22
ኦሪት ፥ ወነቢያት ኮንዎ ሰማዕተ ከመ በአሚን በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ይጸድቁ በኀበ እግዚአብሔር ኵሎሙ እለ የአምኑ ቦቱ ።
even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction,
就是上帝的義，因信耶穌基督加給一切相信的人，並沒有分別。
3:23
ኢፈለጠ ወኢሌለየ እስመ ኵሎሙ አበሱ ወጌገዩ ወኀደጉ ስብሐተ እግዚአብሔር ።
for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
因為世人都犯了罪，虧缺了上帝的榮耀；
3:24
ወጽድቅሰኬ በከንቱ ኮነ በጸጋ ዚኣሁ ረከቡ ሕይወተ በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ።
being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
如今卻蒙上帝的恩典，因基督耶穌的救贖，就白白地稱義。
3:25
እስመ ወድአ እግዚአብሔር ወገብሮ ሥርየተ ለአሚን በደሙ ከመ ያርኢ ጽድቆ በላዕለ እለ አበሱ እምትካት ።
whom God sent to be an atoning sacrifice through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God’s forbearance;
上帝設立耶穌作挽回祭，是憑着耶穌的血，藉着人的信，要顯明上帝的義；因為他用忍耐的心寬容人先時所犯的罪，
3:26
በትዕግሥቱ ለእግዚአብሔር ወበኦሆ ብሂሎቱ ከመ ያእምርዎ ዮም ከመ ጻድቅ ውእቱ ወያጸድቆሙ ለእለ የአምኑ በአሚን በኢየሱስ ።
to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time, that he might himself be just and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.
好在今時顯明他的義，使人知道他自己為義，也稱信耶穌的人為義。
3:27
በምንትኑ እንከ ይትሜክሑ ወበአይኑ ሕግ ይገብሩ አልቦ ባዕድ ሕግ ዘእንበለ አሚን ።
Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
既是這樣，哪裏能誇口呢？沒有可誇的了。用何法沒有的呢？是用立功之法嗎？不是，乃用信主之法。
3:28
እስመ ነአምር ከመ ይጸድቅ ሰብእ በአሚን እንዘ ኢይገብር ሕገገ ኦሪት ።
We maintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.
所以 我們看定了：人稱義是因着信，不在乎遵行律法。
3:29
ቦኑ ለባሕቲቶሙ ለአይሁድ እግዚአብሔር አኮኑ ለሕዝብኒ ወለአሕዛብኒ ።
Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn’t he the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,
難道上帝只作猶太人的上帝嗎？不也是作外邦人的上帝嗎？是的，也作外邦人的上帝。
3:30
እስመ አሐዱ ውእቱ እግዚአብሔር ዘያጸድቆ ለግዙር በአሚን ወለዘሂ ቈላፍ በአሚን ዳእሙ ያጸድቆ ።
since indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.
上帝既是一位，他就要因信稱那受割禮的為義，也要因信稱那未受割禮的為義。
3:31
ሰዐርነሁ እንከ ሕገገ ኦሪት በእንተ አሚን ሐሰ አኮ ዘንስዕር ሕገ አላ ንሠርዕ ።
Do we then nullify the law through faith? May it never be! No, we establish the law.
這樣，我們因信廢了律法嗎？斷乎不是！更是堅固律法。
