5:1
ጽደቁ እንከ በአሚን ወንርከብ ሰላመ በኀበ እግዚአብሔር በእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ።
Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
我們既因信稱義，就藉着我們的主耶穌基督得與上帝相和。
5:2
ዘበእንቲኣሁ ተመራሕነ በሃይማኖት ውስተ ዛቲ ጸጋሁ እንተ ባቲ ቆምነ ወውእቱ ምክሕነ ወባቲ ንሴፎ ስብሐተ እግዚአብሔር ።
through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
我們又藉着他，因信得進入現在所站的這恩典中，並且歡歡喜喜盼望上帝的榮耀。
5:3
ወአኮ በባሕቲታ ዓዲ ንትሜካሕ በሕማምነሂ እስመ ነአምር ከመ ሕማም ይፌጽም ትዕግሥተ ላዕሌነ ።
Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance;
不但如此，就是在患難中也是歡歡喜喜的；因為知道患難生忍耐，
5:4
ወትዕግሥትሰ መከራ ወበመከራ ይትረከብ ተስፋ ።
and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;
忍耐生老練，老練生盼望；
5:5
ወተስፋኒ ኢያስተኀፍር እስመ ፍቅረ እግዚአብሔር መልአ ውስተ ልብነ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ዘወሀበነ ።
and hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
盼望不至於羞恥，因為所賜給我們的聖靈將上帝的愛澆灌在我們心裏。
5:6
ክርስቶስኒ መጽአ በዕድሜሁ ይሙት በእንተ ኀጢአትነ እንዘ ኃጥኣን ንሕነ ።
For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
因我們還軟弱的時候，基督就按所定的日期為罪人死。
5:7
እንበይነ እኩያንሰ እምዕፁብኒ ጥቀ ኢይትረከብ ዘይትሀበል ይሙት ወእንበይነ ኄራንሰ እንዳዒ እንጋ ለእመ ቦ ዘይትረከብ ዘያጠብዕ ይሙት ።
For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die.
為義人死，是少有的；為仁人死， 或者有敢做的。
5:8
ናሁ ርእዩ መጠነ አፍቀረነ እግዚአብሔር እንዘ ኃጥኣን ንሕነ ክርስቶስ ሞተ በእንቲኣነ ።
But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
惟有基督在我們還作罪人的時候為我們死，上帝的愛就在此向我們顯明了。
5:9
እፎ እንከ ፈድፋደ ለእመ ጸደቅነ ያነጽሐነ በደሙ ወያድኅነነ እመንሱት ዘይመጽእ ።
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we will be saved from God’s wrath through him.
現在我們既靠着他的血稱義，就更要藉着他免去上帝的忿怒。
5:10
ወሶበ እንዘ ፀሩ ንሕነ ለእግዚአብሔር ተሣሀለነ በሞተ ወልዱ እፎ እንከ ይሣሀለነ ፈድፋደ እምከመ ተዐረቀነ ወተሣሀለነ ያሐይወነ በሕይወተ ወልዱ ።
For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.
因為我們作仇敵的時候，且藉着上帝兒子的死，得與上帝和好；既已和好，就更要因他的生得救了。
5:11
አኮ በእንተ ዝንቱ ባሕቲቱ ዓዲ ንትሜካሕ በኀበ እግዚአብሔር በእንተ እግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ዘበእንቲኣሁ ረከብነ ሣህሎ ።
Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
不但如此，我們既藉着我主耶穌基督得與上帝和好，也就藉着他以上帝為樂。
5:12
ወበእንተዝ በከመ በጌጋየ አሐዱ ብእሲ ቦአት ኀጢአት ውስተ ዓለም ወበእንተ ይእቲ ኀጢአት መጽአ ሞት ላዕለ ኵሉ ሰብእ ወተኈለቈት ኀጢአት ላዕለ ኵሉ ።
Therefore, as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin, so death passed to all men because all sinned.
這就如罪是從一人入了世界，死又是從罪來的，於是死就臨到眾人，因為眾人都犯了罪。
5:13
እስከ አመ መጽአት ኦሪት ሀለወት ኀጢአት ውስተ ዓለም እንዘ ኢትትዐወቅ ምንት ይእቲ እስመ ኢትትኌለቍ ኀጢአት እስመ ዓዲሁ ኢመጽአ ውእተ አሚረ ሕገገ ኦሪት ።
For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there is no law.
沒有律法之先，罪已經在世上；但沒有律法，罪也不算罪。
5:14
ወባሕቱ ኰነኖሙ ዳእሙ ሞት እምአዳም እስከ ሙሴ ለእለሂ አበሱ ወለእለሂ ኢአበሱ በእንተ ይእቲ ኀጢአቱ ለአዳም እስመ ኵሉ በአምሳለ አዳም ተፈጥረ እስመ አዳም አምሳሉ ውእቱ ለዘሀለዎ ይምጻእ ።
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those whose sins weren’t like Adam’s disobedience, who is a foreshadowing of him who was to come.
然而從亞當到摩西，死就作了王，連那些不與亞當犯一樣罪過的，也在他的權下。亞當乃是那以後要來之人的預像。
5:15
ወባሕቱ አኮ በአምጣነ ጌጋይነ ዘኮነነ ሐሳበ ጸጋሁ ለእግዚአብሔር ወሶበ በጌጋየ አሐዱ ብእሲ ሞቱ ብዙኃን እፎ እንከ ፈድፋደ በጸጋሁ ለእግዚአብሔር ወበሀብቱ ዘጸገወነ በእንተ አሐዱ ብእሲ ዘውእቱ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ይፈደፍድ ሕይወት ላዕለ ብዙኃን ።
But the free gift isn’t like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
只是過犯不如恩賜，若因一人的過犯，眾人都死了，何況上帝的恩典，與那因耶穌基督一人恩典中的賞賜，豈不更加倍地臨到眾人嗎？
5:16
ወአኮ በአምጣነ ኀጢአቱ ለአሐዱ ብእሲ ዘኮነነ ሐሳበ ጸጋሁ ለእግዚአብሔር ወሶበ ኵነኔ ኀጢአት እምላዕለ አሐዱ ብእሲ ወፂኣ ኵሉ ተቀሥፈ ባቲ እፎ እንከ ፈድፋደ ያነጽሐነ ጸጋሁ እምጌጋይነ ወይሁበነ ሕይወተ ዘለዓለም ።
The gift is not as through one who sinned; for the judgment came by one to condemnation, but the free gift followed many trespasses to justification.
因一人犯罪就定罪，也不如恩賜，原來審判是由一人而定罪，恩賜乃是由許多過犯而稱義。
5:17
ወሶበ ኀጢአቱ ለአሐዱ ብእሲ አንገሠቶ ለሞት ወበአበሳ አሐዱ ብእሲ ቀነየነ ሞት እፎ እንከ ጸጋሁ ለአሐዱ ብእሲ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ወሀብቱ ያጸድቀነ ወያነግሦ ለነ ለሕይወት ዘለዓለም ።
For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.
若因一人的過犯，死就因這一人作了王，何況那些受洪恩又蒙所賜之義的，豈不更要因耶穌基督一人在生命中作王嗎？
5:18
ወበከመ በጌጋየ አሐዱ ብእሲ ተኰነነ ኵሉ ዓለም ከማሁ ካዕበ በጽድቀ አሐዱ ብእሲ ይጸድቅ ኵሉ ዕጓለ እመሕያው ።
So then as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life.
如此說來，因一次的過犯，眾人都被定罪；照樣，因一次的義行，眾人也就被稱義得生命了。
5:19
ወበከመ በእንተ ዐሊወ አሐዱ ብእሲ ብዙኃን ኮኑ ኃጥኣነ ከማሁ ካዕበ በተአዝዞቱ ለአሐዱ ብእሲ ብዙኃን ኮኑ ጻድቃነ ።
For as through the one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous.
因一人的悖逆，眾人成為罪人；照樣，因一人的順從，眾人也成為義了。
5:20
ኦሪትሰኬ ለምክንያት መጽአት ወተባውአት ከመ ታብዝኃ ለኀጢአት ወኀበ በዝኀት ኀጢአት ህየ ፈድፈደት ጸጋሁ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly,
律法本是外添的，叫過犯顯多；只是罪在哪裏顯多，恩典就更顯多了。
5:21
ወበከመ አንገሠቶ ኀጢአት ለሞት ከማሁ ታነግሦ ለጽድቅ ጸጋሁ ለእግዚአብሔር ውስተ ሕይወት ዘለዓለም በእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ።
that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
就如罪作王叫人死；照樣，恩典也藉着義作王，叫人因我們的主耶穌基督得永生。
