11:1
እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ሠርዐ ፡ ምግባሮ ፡ በእደ ፡ ነቢዩ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ ወአንሶሰዉ ፡ ወነገዱ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ በድው ፡ ዘኢኀደሮ ፡ መኑሂ ፡ ወተከሉ ፡ ወታክለ ፡ ደባትሪሆሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መካን ፡ እንተ ፡ ኢተከይደት ።
She prospered their works in the hand of a holy prophet.
智慧藉著一位聖潔先知的手，使他們所行的亨通。
11:2
ወታወምዎሞሙ ፡ ለመስተቃትላን ፡ ወተበቀሉ ፡ አፅራረ ።
They journeyed through a desert without inhabitant, And in trackless regions they pitched their tents.
他們行過無人居住的曠野，在無路之地支搭帳棚。
11:3
ጸምኡ ፡ ወጸውዑከ ፡ ወተውህበ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ማይ ፡ እምኰኵሕ ፡ እዝኅ ።
They withstood enemies, and repelled foes.
他們抵擋仇敵，擊退敵人。
11:4
ወፈውሰ ፡ ለጽኦሙ ፡ እምእብን ፡ ጽኑዕ ፡ እስመ ፡ በዝንቱ ፡ ግበር ፡ ተኰነኑ ፡ ወተቀትሉ ፡ አፅራሪሆሙ ።
They thirsted, and they called upon you, And there was given them water out of the flinty rock, And healing of their thirst out of the hard stone.
他們渴了，就呼求禰，水就從堅硬的磐石中為他們流出，從堅石中得了止渴的醫治。
11:5
ወበዝንቱ ፡ አሠነይከ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ተመንደቡ ፡ ወዓፀቦሙ ።
For by what things their foes were punished, By these they in their need were benefited.
因為仇敵藉以受罰的，正是這些事使他們在缺乏時得了恩益。
11:6
ወህየንተ ፡ ነቅዐ ፡ ፈለግ ፡ ዘኢይትነግ ፡ ዘሐመግዎ ፡ እልክቱ ፡ በደ ፡ ቅቱላን ፡ ወሀብኮሙ ፡ ማየ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ ዘእንቃዕከ ፡ ፍጡነ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ አሰፍዎ ፡ ለዘለፋ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ ቀታሊተ ፡ ሕፃናት ።
When the enemy were troubled with clotted blood instead of a river’s ever-flowing fountain,
當仇敵的常流江河被攪成凝結的血時，
11:7
ወከማሁ ፡ ኮነንከ ፡ ተቃዋምያነ ፡ አመ ፡ አመከሩከ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ጸምኡ ።
To rebuke the decree for the slaying of babes, You gave them abundant water beyond all hope,
為了責罰那殺嬰的命令，禰在絕望之外賜給他們充沛的水，
11:8
ወእሙንቱሰ ፡ በምሕረት ፡ ተገሠፁ ፡ ወአእመሩ ፡ እፎ ፡ ከመ ፡ ተኰነኑ ፡ በመዓት ።
Having shewn them by the thirst which they had suffered how you did punish the adversaries.
藉著當時的乾渴，顯明禰如何懲罰了那些敵對者。
11:9
እስመ ፡ ለእሉሰ ፡ ከመ ፡ አብ ፡ መገዕሥ ፡ አምከርከ ።
For when they were tried, albeit but in mercy chastened, They learned how the ungodly were tormented, being judged with wrath:
因為他們受試驗，雖在憐憫中受管教，卻也知道那些不敬虔的人怎樣在忿怒的審判下受苦。
11:10
ወለእልክቱሰ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ምሕረት ፡ ዴገንከ ፡ ወፈተንከ ፡ ወበዝንቱ ፡ አምሳል ፡ ቀሠፍኮሙ ።
For these, as a father, admonishing them, you did prove; But those, as a stern king, condemning them, you did search out.
因為禰試驗這些人，如同父親勸戒兒女；但察究那些人，如同嚴厲的君王定罪。
11:11
ወአተከዝኮሙ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ኢሀለዉ ፡ ወእንዘ ፡ ሀለዉ ፡ እስመ ፡ አኀዞሙ ፡ ኀዘን ፡ ምክዕቢት ፡ ወገዓረ ፡ ተዝካር ፡ ዘእኩይ ፡ አእምሮ ፡ ዘኀለፈ ።
Yes and whether they were far off from the righteous or near them, they were alike distressed;
無論遠近，他們都同樣受困苦；
11:12
አመ ፡ ሰምዑ ፡ ከመ ፡ አሠነይ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ በምንዳቤሆሙ ፡ ወእሙንቱሂ ፡ ረሰይዎ ፡ ተድላ ፡ ዘእምእግዚአብሔር ።
For a double grief took hold on them, And a groaning at the remembrance of things past.
因為有雙重的憂愁臨到他們，又因追想往事而歎息。
11:13
ወዓዲ ፡ ለዘሂ ፡ ገደፉ ፡ ቀዲሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሕሰም ፡ ቀብዕዎ ፡ ወጐዩ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ በሥላቅ ።
For when they heard that through their own punishments the others had been benefited, They felt the presence of the Lord;
因為他們聽見別人藉著自己所受的刑罰反得了益處，就覺悟了主的同在；
11:14
ወአንከሩ ፡ እምፍጻሜ ፡ ፀአተ ፡ ትእዛዝ ፡ አኮ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ዘጸምኡ ፡ በከመ ፡ ጸምኡ ፡ ጻድቃን ።
For him who long before was cast forth and exposed they left off mocking: In the last issue of what came to pass they marveled, Having thirsted in another manner than the righteous.
因為那從前被丟棄、被人譏笑棄絕的人，在事情末了的結局中，他們卻希奇了，因為他們所受的乾渴與義人所受的不同。
11:15
ወህየንተ ፡ እከየ ፡ ሕሊናሆሙ ፡ እንተ ፡ አልባቲ ፡ አእምሮ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ስሕቱ ፡ ባቲ ፡ አምለኩ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ዘኢይነብብ ፡ ሀብተ ፡ ምኑነ ፡ ወከንቶ ።
But in requital of the senseless imaginings of their unrighteousness, Wherein they were led astray to worship irrational reptiles and wretched vermin, You did send upon them a multitude of irrational creatures for vengeance;
為要報應他們不義的愚昧思念，就是他們受迷惑去敬拜無理性的爬蟲和卑賤的害蟲，禰就差遣許多無理性的動物臨到他們，施行報應，
11:16
ፈኖከ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ለተበቅሎ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ዘኢይነብብ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያእምሩ ፡ እስመ ፡ በግብር ፡ ዘይኤብስ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ቦቱ ፡ ይትኴነን ።
That they might learn, that by what things a man sins, by these he is punished.
叫他們知道：人在甚麼事上犯罪，就在甚麼事上受罰。
11:17
እስመ ፡ ኢይሰአኖ ፡ ለእዴከ ፡ እንተ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ይክል ፡ ወየማንከ ፡ እንተ ፡ ፈጠረት ፡ ዓለመ ፡ እምነ ፡ ከንቱ ፡ ዘአልቦቱ ፡ ገጽ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትፈኑ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ብዙኃነ ፡ ድባተ ፡ ወመዓትማነ ፡ አናብስተ ።
For your all-powerful hand, That created the world out of formless matter, Lacked not means to send upon them a multitude of bears, or fierce lions,
因為禰那全能的手，曾用無形質料造成世界，並非缺乏方法，能差遣許多熊、或兇猛的獅子臨到他們，
11:18
ወእመ ፡ አኮ ፡ አራዊተ ፡ ምሉአነ ፡ መዓት ፡ ግብተ ፡ ዘተፈጥሩ ፡ እለ ፡ ኢይትአመሩ ፡ ዘያነፍሱ ፡ እሳተ ፡ ዘይነፍሕ ፡ ወያልህብ ፡ ወእመአኮ ፡ እለ ፡ ፄና ፡ ጢስ ፡ ፍጉገ ፡ ይሥዕዩ ፡ ወአመ ፡ አኮ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ዓይኖሙ ፡ ጸዋግ ፡ ቀለምጺጸ ፡ እለ ፡ ይበርቁ ።
Or new-created wild beasts, full of rage, of unknown kind, Either breathing out a blast of fiery breath, Or blowing forth from their nostrils noisome smoke, Or flashing dreadful sparkles from their eyes;
或差來新造、滿懷盛怒、人所未識的野獸，或噴吐烈火的氣息，或散發出沖天的濃煙，或從眼中閃射出可畏的火花，
11:19
አኮ ፡ ባሕቲቱ ፡ እከዮሙ ፡ ወኵነኔሆሙ ፡ ዘይክል ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሕርዖሙ ፡ አላ ፡ ራእዮሙሂ ፡ እምገረሞሙ ፡ ወእምቀተሎሙ ።
Which had power not only to consume them by their violence, But to destroy them even by the terror of their sight.
這些不僅能以兇暴將他們消滅，更能單以其可怖的形貌使他們滅亡。
11:20
ወዘእንበለ ፡ ዝኒ ፡ በአሐቲ ፡ ትእምርት ፡ እምደለዎሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይደቁ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ትሰድዶሙ ፡ በቃልከ ፡ ወትሥዕዮሙ ፡ በመንፈሰ ፡ ኃይልከ ።
Yes and without these might they have fallen by a single breath, Being pursued by Justice, and scattered abroad by the breath of your power. But by measure and number and weight you did order all things.
即使沒有這些，他們也能被公義所追逼，被禰能力的氣息所颺散，只用一口氣便倒下；然而禰卻按著度量、數目、和輕重安排了萬事。
11:21
ወባሕቱ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ በዓቅም ፡ ወበኊልቊ ፡ ወበመዳልው ፡ ሠራዕከ ፡ እስመ ፡ ዕበየ ፡ ክሂሎትከ ፡ ህልው ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ ዘልፈ ።
For to be greatly strong is your at all times; And the might of your arm who shall withstand?
因為大大施展能力，原是禰隨時都能的；禰膀臂的大力，有誰能抵擋呢？
11:22
ወለኃይለ ፡ እዘዘ ፡ መዝራዕትከ ፡ መኑ ፡ ይትቃወማ ፡ እስመ ፡ ከመ ፡ ለጽሊጸ ፡ ልሳነ ፡ መዳልው ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዓለም ፡ በቅድሜከ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ነጥበ ፡ ጠል ፡ በቅድሜከ ፡ እንተ ፡ ነግህ ፡ ወረደት ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ።
Because the whole world before you is as a grain in a balance, And as a drop of dew that at morning comes down upon the earth.
因為全世界在禰面前，如同天平上的一粒微塵，又如清晨降在地上的一滴露水。
11:23
ትምህር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ እስመ ፡ ከሃሊ ፡ አንተ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ወኢትትኄየይ ፡ ኃጣውአ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ትጸንሕ ፡ ለንስሓ ።
But you have mercy on all men, because you have power to do all things, And you overlookest the sins of men to the end they may repent.
然而禰憐憫萬人，因為禰無所不能，又寬容世人的罪，為要叫他們悔改。
11:24
ታፈቅር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ እለ ፡ ሀለዉ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘትሜንን ፡ ምንተኒ ፡ እምዘገበርከ ፡ እስመ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ዘገበርከ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ትጸልእ ፡ ወሶበሰ ፡ ጸላእከ ፡ ምንተኒ ፡ እምኢገበርከ ፡ ወእፎመ ፡ እምጸንዐ ፡ በቅድሜከ ።
For you love all things that are, And abhor none of the things which you did make; For never would you have formed anything if you did hate it.
因為禰愛一切所存有的，並不憎惡禰所造的任何物；因為禰若恨惡甚麼，斷不會造它。
11:25
ወእመ ፡ ለሊከ ፡ ኢፈቀድከ ፡ እፎመ ፡ እምተዓቅበ ፡ ዘኢጸዋዓከ ፡ አንተ ።
And how would anything have endured, except you had willed it? Or that which was not called by you, how would it have been preserved?
若不是禰的旨意，甚麼能存留呢？若非禰呼召，甚麼能得保全呢？
11:26
ትምሀክ ፡ ወትሣሃል ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ፍጥረት ።
But you spare all things, because they are your, O Soverign Lord, you lover of men’s lives;
但禰愛惜萬物，因為它們都是禰的，主啊，禰這愛人性命的主宰。
