9:1

ወእቤ፡ እምኵሉ፡ ልብየ፡ አምላከ፡ አቡየ፡ ወእግዚኣ፡ ለምሕረት፡ ዘገበርከ፡ ኵሎ፡ ዓለመ፡ በቃልከ።

O God of the fathers, and Lord who keep your mercy, Who made all things by your word;

列祖的神，施憐憫的主啊，禰曾用禰的話造成萬物，

9:2

ወበጥበብከ፡ ረሰይከ፡ ሰብአ፡ ከመ፡ ይኰንን፡ ዘእምኀቤከ፡ ተገብረ፡ ፍጥረተ።

And by your wisdom you formedst man, That he should have dominion over the creatures that were made by you,

又用禰的智慧塑造了人，使他管理禰所造的萬物，

9:3

ወያንሶሱ፡ ውስተ፡ ምድር፡ ወይሥራዕ፡ ዓለመ፡ በኂሩትከ፡ ወበጽድቅከ፡ ወበርትዐ፡ መንፈሰ፡ ኵነኔ፡ ይኴንን።

And rule the world in holiness and righteousness, And execute judgement in uprightness of soul;

使他以聖潔公義治理世界，以正直的心施行審判；

9:4

ሀበኒ፡ እንተ፡ እምኀበ፡ መናብርቲከ፡ ትነብር፡ ጥበበ።

Give me wisdom, her that sits by you on your throne; And reject me not from among your servants:

求禰將那坐在禰寶座旁的智慧賜給我，不要從禰的僕人中棄絕我；

9:5

ወኢትመንነኒ፡ እማእከለ፡ አግብርቲከ፡ እስመ፡ አነ፡ ገብርከ፡ ወልደ፡ አመትከ፡ ብእሲ፡ ድውየ፡ ኃይል፡ ወሕፁፀ፡ መዋዕል፡ ወትሑት፡ ለአእምሮ፡ ሕገ፡ ፍትሕ።

Because I am your bondman and the son of your handmaid, A man weak and short-lived, And of small power to understand judgement and laws.

因為我是禰的僕人，是禰使女的兒子，是軟弱短命的人，缺乏明白審判和律法的智慧。

9:6

ወለእመኒቦ፡ ዘኮነ፡ ፍጹመ፡ እምውሉደ፡ ሰብእ፡ እምከመ፡ ርኅቅት፡ እምኔሁ፡ ጥበብ፡ እንተ፡ እምኀቤከ፡ እስመ፡ ውእቱ፡ ከመ፡ ወኢምንትኒ፡ እምኮነ።

For even if a man be perfect among the sons of men, Yet if the wisdom that comes from you be not with him, he will be held in no account.

因為人即使在世人中算為完全，若沒有從禰而來的智慧，也必算為無有。

9:7

አንተ፡ ኃረይከኒ፡ ንጉሠ፡ ለሕዝብከ፡ ወመኰንነ፡ ለውሉድከ፡ ወለአዋልዲከ።

You did choose me before my kindred to be king of your people, And to do judgement for your sons and daughters.

禰揀選了我作禰百姓的王，又審判禰的兒女；

9:8

ወትቤ፡ ይትሐነጽ፡ ቤተ፡ በደብረ፡ መቅደስከ፡ ወውስተ፡ ሀገረ፡ ምዕራፍከ፡ ምሥዋዕ፡ አምሳለ፡ ቅድሳተ፡ ስብሐቲከ፡ እንተ፡ አስተዳሎከ፡ እምፍጥረት።

You gave command to build a sanctuary in your holy mountain, And an altar in the city of your habitation, A copy of the holy tabernacle which you prepared beforehand from the beginning.

禰吩咐在禰的聖山上建造殿宇，在禰居住的城中建立祭壇，作為禰從起初所豫備的聖幕的樣式。

9:9

ወምስሌከ፡ ጥበብ፡ እንተ፡ ተአምር፡ ግብረከ፡ ወሀለወት፡ አመ፡ ትገብር፡ ዓለመ፡ ወይእቲ፡ ትጤይቅ፡ ምንት፡ ውእቱ፡ ዘያሠምረከ፡ ቅድመ፡ አዕይንቲከ፡ ወምንት፡ ውእቱ፡ ዘርቱዕ፡ በትእዛዛቲከ።

And with you is wisdom, which knows your works, And was present when you were making the world, And which understands what is pleasing in your eyes, And what is right according to your commandments.

智慧與禰同在，她曉得禰的作為，禰造世界時她也在場，她也明白甚麼在禰眼中為悅納，甚麼合乎禰的誡命。
