3:1
ነፍሶሙ ፡ ለጻድቃን ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወኢለክፎሙ ፡ ሥቃይ ።
But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, And no torment will touch them.
但義人的靈魂在神手中，必無痛苦能觸及他們。
3:2
ወአዕይንተ ፡ ዐብዳንሰ ፡ መሰሉ ፡ ከመ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ዘሞቱ ፡ ወተኈለቈት ፡ ዐአቶሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ እከይ ፡ ቦሙ ።
In the eyes of the foolish they seemed to have died; And their departure was accounted to be their hurt,
在愚昧人眼中，他們似乎已死，他們的離世被看為禍患，
3:3
ወኅልፈቶሙሰ ፡ ተመሰለ ፡ ቅጥቃጤ ፡ ወእሙንቱሰ ፡ በሰላም ፡ ሀለዉ ።
And their journeying away from us to be their ruin: But they are in peace.
他們的離別被看為毀滅；其實他們是在平安裡。
3:4
ወእመሂ ፡ ተኰነኑ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ተስፋሆሙሰ ፡ በኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሕይወት ፡ ፍጽምት ፡ እንተ ፡ አልባቲ ፡ ሞት ።
For even if in the sight of men they be punished, Their hope is full of immortality;
因為他們在人眼前縱然受苦，他們的盼望卻滿有不朽。
3:5
ወኅዳጠ ፡ ተኰኒኖሙ ፡ ዓቢይ ፡ ይዴለዉ ፡ እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምከሮሙ ፡ ወረከቦሙ ፡ ድልዋነ ፡ ሎቱ ።
And having borne a little chastening, they will receive great good; Because God made trial of them, and found them worthy of himself.
他們受些微的管教，必得極大的恩益；因為神試驗了他們，看他們配得自己。
3:6
ከመ ፡ ወርቅ ፡ ዘይትፈተን ፡ በምንሀብ ፡ አመከሮሙ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ጽንሐሐ ፡ ዕጣን ፡ ዘይትዌከፍ ፡ ውኩፈ ፡ ተወክፎሙ ።
As gold in the furnace he proved them, And as a whole burnt offering he accepted them.
神試驗他們如同熔爐裡的金子，又悅納他們如同全牲的燔祭。
3:7
ወበመዋዕለ ፡ ሕዋፄሆሙ ፡ ይበርሁ ፡ ከመ ፡ ፀሐይ ፡ ወይረውዑ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሩፀተ ፡ ቀለምጺጽ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ብርዕ ።
And in the time of their visitation they will shine forth, And as sparks among stubble they will run to and fro.
在他們蒙眷顧的時候，他們必發光，如同火花在禾稭中往來飛馳。
3:8
ወይኴንኑ ፡ አሕዛበ ፡ ወይእኅቡ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ ወይነግሥ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለዓለም ።
They will judge nations, and have dominion over peoples; And the Lord will reign over them for evermore.
他們要審判列國，轄管萬民，主也要永遠作他們的王。
3:9
እለ ፡ ይትዌከሉ ፡ ቦቱ ፡ የአምሩ ፡ ርትዐ ፡ ወመሃይምናኒሁ ፡ ይሄልዉ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ በፍቅር ፡ እስመ ፡ ጸጋ ፡ ወክብር ፡ ለኅሩያኒሁ ፡ ወሕዋፄ ፡ ክሡት ፡ ለጻድቃኒሁ ።
They that trust on him will understand truth, And the faithful will abide with him in love; Because grace and mercy are to his chosen.
信靠祂的人必明白真理，忠信的人必在愛中常與祂同住；因為恩典和憐憫臨到祂所揀選的人。
3:10
ወረሲዓንሰ ፡ በከመ ፡ ሐለዩ ፡ ይረክቡ ፡ ኵነኔ ፡ ወእለ ፡ አስተትዋ ፡ ለጽድቅ ፡ እምእግዚአብሔር ፡ ርኅቁ ።
But the ungodly will be requited even as they reasoned, They which lightly regarded the righteous man, and revolted from the Lord;
但不敬虔的人必照他們所推想的受懲罰，就是那些輕忽義人、背棄主的人；
3:11
ጥበበ ፡ ወተግሣፀ ፡ ዘይሜንኑ ፡ ሕርቱማን ፡ ወከንቱ ፡ ተስፋሆሙ ፡ ወሕማሞሙ ፡ ወፃማሆሙ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ በቊዔት ፡ ወከንቱ ፡ ምግባራቲሆሙ ።
(For he that sets at nothing wisdom and discipline is miserable;) And void is their hope and their toils unprofitable, And useless are their works:
因為藐視智慧與訓誨的，是可悲的，他們的盼望是虛空的，勞苦是徒然的，所行的也是無益的。
3:12
ወአንስቲያሆሙ ፡ ዓብዳት ፡ እማንቱ ፡ ወጸዋጋን ፡ ውሉዶሙ ፡ ወርጉም ፡ ትውልዶሙ ።
Their wives are foolish, and wicked are their children;
他們的妻子愚昧，兒女邪惡；
3:13
እስመ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ መካን ፡ እንተ ፡ አልባቲ ፡ ነውር ፡ ብፅዕት ፡ ወንጽሕት ፡ ይእቲ ፡ እንተ ፡ ኢተአምር ፡ ምስካበ ፡ ዘአበሳ ፡ እንታክቲ ፡ ትረክብ ፡ ፍሬ ፡ በሕዋፄ ፡ ነፍሳት ።
Accursed is their begetting. Because happy is the barren that is undefiled, She who has not conceived in transgression; She will have fruit when God visiteth souls.
他們的後裔是受咒詛的。因為無瑕的不育婦人是有福的，她未曾在罪過中與人同牀，在神眷顧眾靈的時候必得果子。
3:14
ወሕፀው ፡ ዘኢገብረ ፡ በእዴሁ ፡ አበሳ ፡ ወዘኢሐለየ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እኩየ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይትወሀቦ ፡ ጸጋ ፡ ሃይማኖት ፡ ኅሪት ፡ ወመክፈልት ፡ በቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘይትፈተው ።
And happy is the eunuch which has wrought no lawless deed with his hands, Nor imagined wicked things against the Lord; For there will be given him for his faithfulness a peculiar favor, And a lot in the sanctuary of the Lord more delightsome than wife or children.
那未曾以手行不法之事、未曾心懷惡念敵對主的太監，也是有福的；因為他的忠信必蒙賜下特殊的恩寵，在主的殿中得著比妻兒更可喜悅的分。
3:15
እስመ ፡ ለኄር ፡ ፍሬ ፡ ፃማሁ ፡ ክብር ፡ ወሥን ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ድቀት ፡ ለሥርወ ፡ አእምሮቱ ።
For good labors have fruit of great renown; And the root of understanding can’t fail.
因為美善勞苦的果子是榮耀的，明達的根永不衰敗。
3:16
ወውሉደ ፡ ዘማውያንሰ ፡ ንቱጋነ ፡ ይከውኑ ፡ ወዘርእ ፡ ዘይወጽእ ፡ እምስካበ ፡ ተዓዳዌ ፡ ሕግ ፡ ይማስን ።
But children of adulterers will not come to maturity, And the seed of an unlawful bed will vanish away.
但姦淫所生的兒女必不能成長，從不法之牀所出的後裔必歸於無有。
3:17
ወእመሂ ፡ ኖኀ ፡ መንበርቶሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ምንተኒ ፡ ይትኌለቊ ፡ ወርስዖሙ ፡ በደኀሪቶሙ ፡ ይከውን ፡ ኅሡረ ።
For if they live long, they will be held in no account, And at the last their old age will be without honor.
因為他們縱然長壽，也必算為無有，到了末了，他們的年老必不蒙尊榮。
3:18
ወእመኒ ፡ ፍቱነ ፡ ሞቱ ፡ አልቦሙ ፡ ተስፋ ፡ ወኢኑዛዜ ፡ አመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ሐተታ ።
And if they die quickly, they will have no hope, Nor in the day of decision will they have consolation.
他們縱然早死，也沒有盼望，在判斷的日子也得不著安慰。
3:19
እስመ ፡ ለትውልድ ፡ አማፂት ፡ እኩይ ፡ ደኃሪታ ።
For the end of an unrighteous generation is always grievous.
因為不義世代的結局總是悲慘的。
