3:1
Ἐν ἔτει δὲ πεντεκαιδεκάτῳ τῆς ἡγεμονίας Τιβερίου Καίσαρος , ἡγεμονεύοντος Ποντίου Πειλάτου τῆς Ἰουδαίας , καὶ τετρααρχοῦντος τῆς Γαλιλαίας Ἡρῴδου , Φιλίππου δὲ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ τετρααρχοῦντος τῆς Ἰτουραίας καὶ Τραχωνίτιδος χώρας , καὶ Λυσανίου τῆς Ἀβιληνῆς τετρααρχοῦντος ,
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene,
凱撒提庇留在位第十五年，本丟‧彼拉多作猶太巡撫，希律作加利利分封的王，他兄弟腓力作以土利亞和特拉可尼地方分封的王，呂撒聶作亞比利尼分封的王，
3:2
ἐπὶ ἀρχιερέως Ἅννα καὶ Καϊάφα , ἐγένετο ῥῆμα θεοῦ ἐπὶ Ἰωάννην τὸν Ζαχαρίου υἱὸν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ .
during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John, the son of Zacharias, in the wilderness.
亞那和該亞法作大祭司。那時，撒迦利亞的兒子約翰在曠野裏，上帝的話臨到他。
3:3
καὶ ἦλθεν εἰς πᾶσαν τὴν περίχωρον τοῦ Ἰορδάνου κηρύσσων βάπτισμα μετανοίας εἰς ἄφεσιν ἁμαρτιῶν ,
He came into all the region around the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for remission of sins.
他就來到約旦河一帶地方，宣講悔改的洗禮，使罪得赦。
3:4
ὡς γέγραπται ἐν βίβλῳ λόγων Ἡσαΐου τοῦ προφήτου · φωνὴ βοῶντος ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ · ἑτοιμάσατε τὴν ὁδὸν κυρίου , εὐθείας ποιεῖτε τὰς τρίβους αὐτοῦ ·
As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord. Make his paths straight.
正如先知以賽亞書上所記的話，說： 在曠野有人聲喊着說： 預備主的道， 修直他的路！
3:5
πᾶσα φάραγξ πληρωθήσεται καὶ πᾶν ὄρος καὶ βουνὸς ταπεινωθήσεται , καὶ ἔσται τὰ σκολιὰ εἰς εὐθείας καὶ αἱ τραχεῖαι εἰς ὁδοὺς λείας ·
Every valley will be filled. Every mountain and hill will be brought low. The crooked will become straight, and the rough ways smooth.
一切山窪都要填滿； 大小山岡都要削平！ 彎彎曲曲的地方要改為正直； 高高低低的道路要改為平坦！
3:6
καὶ ὄψεται πᾶσα σὰρξ τὸ σωτήριον τοῦ θεοῦ .
All flesh will see God’s salvation.’”
凡有血氣的，都要見上帝的救恩！
3:7
Ἔλεγεν οὖν τοῖς ἐκπορευομένοις ὄχλοις βαπτισθῆναι ὑπ’ αὐτοῦ · γεννήματα ἐχιδνῶν , τίς ὑπέδειξεν ὑμῖν φυγεῖν ἀπὸ τῆς μελλούσης ὀργῆς ;
He said therefore to the multitudes who went out to be baptized by him, “You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
約翰對那出來要受他洗的眾人說：「毒蛇的種類！誰指示你們逃避將來的忿怒呢？
3:8
ποιήσατε οὖν καρποὺς ἀξίους τῆς μετανοίας · καὶ μὴ ἄρξησθε λέγειν ἐν ἑαυτοῖς · πατέρα ἔχομεν τὸν Ἀβραάμ · λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν ὅτι δύναται ὁ θεὸς ἐκ τῶν λίθων τούτων ἐγεῖραι τέκνα τῷ Ἀβραάμ .
Therefore produce fruits worthy of repentance, and don’t begin to say among yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father;’ for I tell you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones!
你們要結出果子來，與悔改的心相稱。不要自己心裏說：『有亞伯拉罕為我們的祖宗。』我告訴你們，上帝能從這些石頭中，給亞伯拉罕興起子孫來。
3:9
ἤδη δὲ καὶ ἡ ἀξίνη πρὸς τὴν ῥίζαν τῶν δένδρων κεῖται · πᾶν οὖν δένδρον μὴ ποιοῦν καρπὸν καλὸν ἐκκόπτεται καὶ εἰς πῦρ βάλλεται .
Even now the ax also lies at the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that doesn’t produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
現在斧子已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裏。」
3:10
Καὶ ἐπηρώτων αὐτὸν οἱ ὄχλοι λέγοντες · τί οὖν ποιήσωμεν ;
The multitudes asked him, “What then must we do?”
眾人問他說：「這樣，我們當做甚麼呢？」
3:11
ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς · ὁ ἔχων δύο χιτῶνας μεταδότω τῷ μὴ ἔχοντι , καὶ ὁ ἔχων βρώματα ὁμοίως ποιείτω .
He answered them, “He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise.”
約翰回答說：「有兩件衣裳的，就分給那沒有的；有食物的，也當這樣行。」
3:12
ἦλθον δὲ καὶ τελῶναι βαπτισθῆναι καὶ εἶπαν πρὸς αὐτόν · διδάσκαλε , τί ποιήσωμεν ;
Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, “Teacher, what must we do?”
又有稅吏來要受洗，問他說：「夫子，我們當做甚麼呢？」
3:13
ὁ δὲ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς · μηδὲν πλέον παρὰ τὸ διατεταγμένον ὑμῖν πράσσετε .
He said to them, “Collect no more than that which is appointed to you.”
約翰說：「除了例定的數目，不要多取。」
3:14
ἐπηρώτων δὲ αὐτὸν καὶ στρατευόμενοι λέγοντες · τί ποιήσωμεν καὶ ἡμεῖς ; καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς · μηδένα διασείσητε , μηδένα συκοφαντήσητε , καὶ ἀρκεῖσθε τοῖς ὀψωνίοις ὑμῶν .
Soldiers also asked him, saying, “What about us? What must we do?” He said to them, “Extort from no one by violence, neither accuse anyone wrongfully. Be content with your wages.”
又有兵丁問他說：「我們當做甚麼呢？」約翰說：「不要以強暴待人，也不要訛詐人，自己有錢糧就當知足。」
3:15
Προσδοκῶντος δὲ τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ διαλογιζομένων πάντων ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις αὐτῶν περὶ τοῦ Ἰωάννου , μήποτε αὐτὸς εἴη ὁ Χριστός ,
As the people were in expectation, and all men reasoned in their hearts concerning John, whether perhaps he was the Christ,
百姓指望基督來的時候，人都心裏猜疑，或者約翰是基督。
3:16
ἀπεκρίνατο λέγων πᾶσιν ὁ Ἰωάννης · ἐγὼ μὲν ὕδατι βαπτίζω ὑμᾶς · ἔρχεται δὲ ὁ ἰσχυρότερός μου , οὗ οὐκ εἰμὶ ἱκανὸς λῦσαι τὸν ἱμάντα τῶν ὑποδημάτων αὐτοῦ , αὐτὸς ὑμᾶς βαπτίσει ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ καὶ πυρί ·
John answered them all, “I indeed baptize you with water, but he comes who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to loosen. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire.
約翰說：「我是用水給你們施洗，但有一位能力比我更大的要來，我就是給他解鞋帶也不配。他要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。
3:17
οὗ τὸ πτύον ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ διακαθᾶραι τὴν ἅλωνα αὐτοῦ καὶ συναγαγεῖν τὸν σῖτον εἰς τὴν ἀποθήκην αὐτοῦ , τὸ δὲ ἄχυρον κατακαύσει πυρὶ ἀσβέστῳ .
His winnowing fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing floor, and will gather the wheat into his barn; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
他手裏拿着簸箕，要揚淨他的場，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡了。」
3:18
Πολλὰ μὲν οὖν καὶ ἕτερα παρακαλῶν εὐηγγελίζετο τὸν λαόν ·
Then with many other exhortations he preached good news to the people,
約翰又用許多別的話勸百姓，向他們傳福音。
3:19
ὁ δὲ Ἡρώδης ὁ τετραάρχης , ἐλεγχόμενος ὑπ’ αὐτοῦ περὶ Ἡρῳδιάδος τῆς γυναικὸς τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ περὶ πάντων ὧν ἐποίησεν πονηρῶν ὁ Ἡρώδης ,
but Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias, his brother’s wife, and for all the evil things which Herod had done,
只是分封的王希律，因他兄弟之妻希羅底的緣故，並因他所行的一切惡事，受了約翰的責備；
3:20
προσέθηκεν καὶ τοῦτο ἐπὶ πᾶσιν , κατέκλεισεν τὸν Ἰωάννην ἐν φυλακῇ .
added this also to them all, that he shut up John in prison.
又另外添了一件，就是把約翰收在監裏。
3:21
Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ βαπτισθῆναι ἅπαντα τὸν λαὸν καὶ Ἰησοῦ βαπτισθέντος καὶ προσευχομένου ἀνεῳχθῆναι τὸν οὐρανόν ,
Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus also had been baptized and was praying. The sky was opened,
眾百姓都受了洗，耶穌也受了洗。正禱告的時候，天就開了，
3:22
καὶ καταβῆναι τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον σωματικῷ εἴδει ὡς περιστερὰν ἐπ’ αὐτόν , καὶ φωνὴν ἐξ οὐρανοῦ γενέσθαι , σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱός μου ὁ ἀγαπητός , ἐν σοὶ εὐδόκησα .
and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form like a dove on him; and a voice came out of the sky, saying “You are my beloved Son. In you I am well pleased.”
聖靈降臨在他身上，形狀彷彿鴿子；又有聲音從天上來，說：「你是我的愛子，我喜悅你。」
3:23
Καὶ αὐτὸς ἦν Ἰησοῦς ἀρχόμενος ὡσεὶ ἐτῶν τριάκοντα , ὢν υἱός , ὡς ἐνομίζετο , Ἰωσὴφ τοῦ Ἡλεὶ
Jesus himself, when he began to teach, was about thirty years old, being the son (as was supposed) of Joseph, the son of Heli,
耶穌開頭傳道，年紀約有三十歲。依人看來，他是約瑟的兒子；約瑟是希里的兒子；
3:24
τοῦ Μαθθὰθ τοῦ Λευεὶ τοῦ Μελχεὶ τοῦ Ἰανναὶ τοῦ Ἰωσὴφ
the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Jannai, the son of Joseph,
希里是瑪塔的兒子；瑪塔是利未的兒子；利未是麥基的兒子；麥基是雅拿的兒子；雅拿是約瑟的兒子；
3:25
τοῦ Ματταθίου τοῦ Ἀμὼς τοῦ Ναοὺμ τοῦ Ἐσλεὶ τοῦ Ναγγαὶ
the son of Mattathias, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli, the son of Naggai,

3:26
