4:1
וַ֭יַּעַן אֱלִיפַ֥ז הַֽתֵּימָנִ֗י וַיֹּאמַֽר׃
Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered,
提幔人以利法回答說：
4:2
הֲנִסָּ֬ה דָבָ֣ר אֵלֶ֣יךָ תִּלְאֶ֑ה וַעְצֹ֥ר בְּ֝מִלִּ֗ין מִ֣י יוּכָֽל׃
“If someone ventures to talk with you, will you be grieved? But who can withhold himself from speaking?
人若想與你說話，你就厭煩嗎？ 但誰能忍住不說呢？
4:3
הִ֭נֵּה יִסַּ֣רְתָּ רַבִּ֑ים וְיָדַ֖יִם רָפ֣וֹת תְּחַזֵּֽק׃
Behold, you have instructed many, you have strengthened the weak hands.
你素來教導許多的人， 又堅固軟弱的手。
4:4
כּ֭וֹשֵׁל יְקִימ֣וּן מִלֶּ֑יךָ וּבִרְכַּ֖יִם כֹּרְע֣וֹת תְּאַמֵּֽץ׃
Your words have supported him who was falling, you have made the feeble knees firm.
你的言語曾扶助那將要跌倒的人； 你又使軟弱的膝穩固。
4:5
כִּ֤י עַתָּ֨ה׀ תָּב֣וֹא אֵלֶ֣יךָ וַתֵּ֑לֶא תִּגַּ֥ע עָ֝דֶ֗יךָ וַתִּבָּהֵֽל׃
But now it has come to you, and you faint. It touches you, and you are troubled.
但現在禍患臨到你，你就昏迷， 挨近你，你便驚惶。
4:6
הֲלֹ֣א יִ֭רְאָתְךָ כִּסְלָתֶ֑ךָ תִּ֝קְוָתְךָ֗ וְתֹ֣ם דְּרָכֶֽיךָ׃
Isn’t your piety your confidence? Isn’t the integrity of your ways your hope?
你的倚靠不是在你敬畏上帝嗎？ 你的盼望不是在你行事純正嗎？
4:7
זְכׇר־נָ֗א מִ֤י ה֣וּא נָקִ֣י אָבָ֑ד וְ֝אֵיפֹ֗ה יְשָׁרִ֥ים נִכְחָֽדוּ׃
“Remember, now, who ever perished, being innocent? Or where were the upright cut off?
請你追想：無辜的人有誰滅亡？ 正直的人在何處剪除？
4:8
כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר רָ֭אִיתִי חֹ֣רְשֵׁי אָ֑וֶן וְזֹרְעֵ֖י עָמָ֣ל יִקְצְרֻֽהוּ׃
According to what I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble, reap the same.
按我所見，耕罪孽、種毒害的人 都照樣收割。
4:9
מִנִּשְׁמַ֣ת אֱל֣וֹהַּ יֹאבֵ֑דוּ וּמֵר֖וּחַ אַפּ֣וֹ יִכְלֽוּ׃
By the breath of God they perish. By the blast of his anger are they consumed.
上帝一出氣，他們就滅亡； 上帝一發怒，他們就消沒。
4:10
שַׁאֲגַ֣ת אַ֭רְיֵה וְק֣וֹל שָׁ֑חַל וְשִׁנֵּ֖י כְפִירִ֣ים נִתָּֽעוּ׃
The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, the teeth of the young lions, are broken.
獅子的吼叫和猛獅的聲音盡都止息； 少壯獅子的牙齒也都敲掉。
4:11
לַ֭יִשׁ אֹבֵ֣ד מִבְּלִי־טָ֑רֶף וּבְנֵ֥י לָ֝בִ֗יא יִתְפָּרָֽדוּ׃
The old lion perishes for lack of prey. The cubs of the lioness are scattered abroad.
老獅子因絕食而死； 母獅之子也都離散。
4:12
וְ֭אֵלַי דָּבָ֣ר יְגֻנָּ֑ב וַתִּקַּ֥ח אׇ֝זְנִ֗י שֵׁ֣מֶץ מֶֽנְהֽוּ׃
“Now a thing was secretly brought to me. My ear received a whisper of it.
我暗暗地得了默示； 我耳朵也聽其細微的聲音。
4:13
בִּ֭שְׂעִפִּים מֵחֶזְיֹנ֣וֹת לָ֑יְלָה בִּנְפֹ֥ל תַּ֝רְדֵּמָ֗ה עַל־אֲנָשִֽׁים׃
In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on men,
在思念夜中、異象之間， 世人沉睡的時候，
4:14
פַּ֣חַד קְ֭רָאַנִי וּרְעָדָ֑ה וְרֹ֖ב עַצְמוֹתַ֣י הִפְחִֽיד׃
fear came on me, and trembling, which made all my bones shake.
恐懼、戰兢臨到我身， 使我百骨打戰。
4:15
וְ֭רוּחַ עַל־פָּנַ֣י יַחֲלֹ֑ף תְּ֝סַמֵּ֗ר שַׂעֲרַ֥ת בְּשָׂרִֽי׃
Then a spirit passed before my face. The hair of my flesh stood up.
有靈從我面前經過， 我身上的毫毛直立。
4:16
יַעֲמֹ֤ד׀ וְֽלֹא־אַכִּ֬יר מַרְאֵ֗הוּ תְּ֭מוּנָה לְנֶ֣גֶד עֵינָ֑י דְּמָמָ֖ה וָק֣וֹל אֶשְׁמָֽע׃
It stood still, but I couldn’t discern its appearance. A form was before my eyes. Silence, then I heard a voice, saying,
那靈停住， 我卻不能辨其形狀； 有影像在我眼前。 我在靜默中聽見有聲音說：
4:17
הַ֭אֱנוֹשׁ מֵאֱל֣וֹהַּ יִצְדָּ֑ק אִ֥ם מֵ֝עֹשֵׂ֗הוּ יִטְהַר־גָּֽבֶר׃
‘Shall mortal man be more just than God? Shall a man be more pure than his Maker?
必死的人豈能比上帝公義嗎？ 人豈能比造他的主潔淨嗎？
4:18
הֵ֣ן בַּ֭עֲבָדָיו לֹ֣א יַאֲמִ֑ין וּ֝בְמַלְאָכָ֗יו יָשִׂ֥ים תׇּהֳלָֽה׃
Behold, he puts no trust in his servants. He charges his angels with error.
主不信靠他的臣僕， 並且指他的使者為愚昧；
4:19
אַ֤ף׀ שֹׁכְנֵ֬י בָֽתֵּי־חֹ֗מֶר אֲשֶׁר־בֶּעָפָ֥ר יְסוֹדָ֑ם יְ֝דַכְּא֗וּם לִפְנֵי־עָֽשׁ׃
How much more those who dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth!
何況那住在土房、根基在塵土裏、 被蠹蟲所毀壞的人呢？
4:20
מִבֹּ֣קֶר לָעֶ֣רֶב יֻכַּ֑תּוּ מִבְּלִ֥י מֵ֝שִׂ֗ים לָנֶ֥צַח יֹאבֵֽדוּ׃
Between morning and evening they are destroyed. They perish forever without any regarding it.
早晚之間，就被毀滅， 永歸無有，無人理會。
4:21
הֲלֹא־נִסַּ֣ע יִתְרָ֣ם בָּ֑ם יָ֝מ֗וּתוּ וְלֹ֣א בְחׇכְמָֽה׃
Isn’t their tent cord plucked up within them? They die, and that without wisdom.’
他帳棚的繩索豈不從中抽出來呢？ 他死，且是無智慧而死。
