41:1
הֵן־תֹּחַלְתּ֥וֹ נִכְזָ֑בָה הֲגַ֖ם אֶל־מַרְאָ֣יו יֻטָֽל׃
“Can you draw out Leviathan with a fish hook, or press down his tongue with a cord?
你能用魚鉤釣上鱷魚嗎? 能用繩子壓下牠的舌頭嗎?
41:2
לֹֽא־אַ֭כְזָר כִּ֣י יְעוּרֶ֑נּוּ וּמִ֥י ה֝֗וּא לְפָנַ֥י יִתְיַצָּֽב׃
Can you put a rope into his nose, or pierce his jaw through with a hook?
你能用繩索穿牠的鼻子嗎? 能用鉤穿牠的腮骨嗎?
41:3
מִ֣י הִ֭קְדִּימַנִי וַאֲשַׁלֵּ֑ם תַּ֖חַת כׇּל־הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם לִי־הֽוּא׃
Will he make many petitions to you, or will he speak soft words to you?
牠豈向你連連懇求, 說柔和的話嗎?
41:4
(לא) [לוֹ־]אַחֲרִ֥ישׁ בַּדָּ֑יו וּדְבַר־גְּ֝בוּר֗וֹת וְחִ֣ין עֶרְכּֽוֹ׃
Will he make a covenant with you, that you should take him for a servant forever?
豈肯與你立約, 使你拿牠永遠作奴僕嗎?
41:5
מִֽי־גִ֭לָּה פְּנֵ֣י לְבוּשׁ֑וֹ בְּכֶ֥פֶל רִ֝סְנ֗וֹ מִ֣י יָבֽוֹא׃
Will you play with him as with a bird? Or will you bind him for your girls?
你豈可拿牠當雀鳥玩耍嗎? 豈可為你的幼女將牠拴住嗎?
41:6
דַּלְתֵ֣י פָ֭נָיו מִ֣י פִתֵּ֑חַ סְבִיב֖וֹת שִׁנָּ֣יו אֵימָֽה׃
Will traders barter for him? Will they part him among the merchants?
搭夥的漁夫豈可拿牠當貨物嗎? 能把牠分給商人嗎?
41:7
גַּ֭אֲוָה אֲפִיקֵ֣י מָגִנִּ֑ים סָ֝ג֗וּר חוֹתָ֥ם צָֽר׃
Can you fill his skin with barbed irons, or his head with fish spears?
你能用倒鉤槍扎滿牠的皮, 能用魚叉叉滿牠的頭嗎?
41:8
אֶחָ֣ד בְּאֶחָ֣ד יִגַּ֑שׁוּ וְ֝ר֗וּחַ לֹא־יָבֹ֥א בֵינֵיהֶֽם׃
Lay your hand on him. Remember the battle, and do so no more.
你按手在牠身上,想與牠爭戰, 就不再這樣行吧!
41:9
אִישׁ־בְּאָחִ֥יהוּ יְדֻבָּ֑קוּ יִ֝תְלַכְּד֗וּ וְלֹ֣א יִתְפָּרָֽדוּ׃
Behold, the hope of him is in vain. Won’t one be cast down even at the sight of him?
人指望捉拿牠是徒然的; 一見牠,豈不喪膽嗎?
41:10
עֲֽ֭טִישֹׁתָיו תָּ֣הֶל א֑וֹר וְ֝עֵינָ֗יו כְּעַפְעַפֵּי־שָֽׁחַר׃
None is so fierce that he dare stir him up. Who then is he who can stand before me?
沒有那麼兇猛的人敢惹牠。 這樣,誰能在我面前站立得住呢?
41:11
מִ֭פִּיו לַפִּידִ֣ים יַהֲלֹ֑כוּ כִּיד֥וֹדֵי אֵ֝֗שׁ יִתְמַלָּֽטוּ׃
Who has first given to me, that I should repay him? Everything under the heavens is mine.
誰先給我甚麼,使我償還呢? 天下萬物都是我的。
41:12
מִ֭נְּחִירָיו יֵצֵ֣א עָשָׁ֑ן כְּד֖וּד נָפ֣וּחַ וְאַגְמֹֽן׃
“I will not keep silence concerning his limbs, nor his mighty strength, nor his goodly frame.
論到鱷魚的肢體和其大力,並美好的骨骼, 我不能緘默不言。
41:13
נַ֭פְשׁוֹ גֶּחָלִ֣ים תְּלַהֵ֑ט וְ֝לַ֗הַב מִפִּ֥יו יֵצֵֽא׃
Who can strip off his outer garment? Who will come within his jaws?
誰能剝牠的外衣? 誰能進牠上下牙骨之間呢?
41:14
בְּֽ֭צַוָּארוֹ יָלִ֣ין עֹ֑ז וּ֝לְפָנָ֗יו תָּד֥וּץ דְּאָבָֽה׃
Who can open the doors of his face? Around his teeth is terror.
誰能開牠的腮頰? 牠牙齒四圍是可畏的。
41:15
מַפְּלֵ֣י בְשָׂר֣וֹ דָבֵ֑קוּ יָצ֥וּק עָ֝לָ֗יו בַּל־יִמּֽוֹט׃
Strong scales are his pride, shut up together with a close seal.
牠以堅固的鱗甲為可誇, 緊緊合閉,封得嚴密。
41:16
לִ֭בּוֹ יָצ֣וּק כְּמוֹ־אָ֑בֶן וְ֝יָצ֗וּק כְּפֶ֣לַח תַּחְתִּֽית׃
One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
這鱗甲一一相連, 甚至氣不得透入其間,
41:17
מִ֭שֵּׂתוֹ יָג֣וּרוּ אֵלִ֑ים מִ֝שְּׁבָרִ֗ים יִתְחַטָּֽאוּ׃
They are joined to one another. They stick together, so that they can’t be pulled apart.
都是互相聯絡、膠結, 不能分離。
41:18
מַשִּׂיגֵ֣הוּ חֶ֭רֶב בְּלִ֣י תָק֑וּם חֲנִ֖ית מַסָּ֣ע וְשִׁרְיָֽה׃
His sneezing flashes out light. His eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
牠打噴嚏就發出光來; 牠眼睛好像早晨的光線 。
41:19
יַחְשֹׁ֣ב לְתֶ֣בֶן בַּרְזֶ֑ל לְעֵ֖ץ רִקָּב֣וֹן נְחוּשָֽׁה׃
Out of his mouth go burning torches. Sparks of fire leap out.
從牠口中發出燒着的火把, 與飛迸的火星;
41:20
לֹא־יַבְרִיחֶ֥נּוּ בֶן־קָ֑שֶׁת לְ֝קַ֗שׁ נֶהְפְּכוּ־ל֥וֹ אַבְנֵי־קָֽלַע׃
Out of his nostrils a smoke goes, as of a boiling pot over a fire of reeds.
從牠鼻孔冒出煙來, 如燒開的鍋和點着的蘆葦。
41:21
כְּ֭קַשׁ נֶחְשְׁב֣וּ תוֹתָ֑ח וְ֝יִשְׂחַ֗ק לְרַ֣עַשׁ כִּידֽוֹן׃
His breath kindles coals. A flame goes out of his mouth.
牠的氣點着煤炭, 有火焰從牠口中發出。
41:22
תַּ֭חְתָּיו חַדּ֣וּדֵי חָ֑רֶשׂ יִרְפַּ֖ד חָר֣וּץ עֲלֵי־טִֽיט׃
There is strength in his neck. Terror dances before him.
牠頸項中存着勁力; 在牠面前的都恐嚇蹦跳。
41:23
יַרְתִּ֣יחַ כַּסִּ֣יר מְצוּלָ֑ה יָ֝֗ם יָשִׂ֥ים כַּמֶּרְקָחָֽה׃
The flakes of his flesh are joined together. They are firm on him. They can’t be moved.
牠的肉塊互相聯絡, 緊貼其身,不能搖動。
41:24
אַ֭חֲרָיו יָאִ֣יר נָתִ֑יב יַחְשֹׁ֖ב תְּה֣וֹם לְשֵׂיבָֽה׃
His heart is as firm as a stone, yes, firm as the lower millstone.
牠的心結實如石頭, 如下磨石那樣結實。
41:25
אֵֽין־עַל־עָפָ֥ר מׇשְׁל֑וֹ הֶ֝עָשׂ֗וּ לִבְלִי־חָֽת׃
When he raises himself up, the mighty are afraid. They retreat before his thrashing.
牠一起來,勇士都驚恐, 心裏慌亂,便都昏迷。
41:26
אֵֽת־כׇּל־גָּבֹ֥הַּ יִרְאֶ֑ה ה֝֗וּא מֶ֣לֶךְ עַל־כׇּל־בְּנֵי־שָֽׁחַץ׃ {פ}
If one attacks him with the sword, it can’t prevail; nor the spear, the dart, nor the pointed shaft.
人若用刀,用槍,用標槍, 用尖槍扎牠,都是無用。
