8:1

οὕτως ἔδειξέν μοι κύριος καὶ ἰδοὺ ἄγγος ἰξευτοῦ

Thus the Lord showed me, and behold, a fowler's basket.

主這樣指示我：看哪，有一個捕鳥人的籠子。

8:2

καὶ εἶπεν τί σὺ βλέπεις Αμως καὶ εἶπα ἄγγος ἰξευτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἥκει τὸ πέρας ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν μου Ισραηλ οὐκέτι μὴ προσθῶ τοῦ παρελθεῖν αὐτόν

And he said: What do you see, Amos? And I said: A fowler's basket. And the Lord said to me: The end has come upon my people Israel; I will no longer pass him by.

他說：阿摩司啊，你看見甚麼？我說：捕鳥人的籠子。主就對我說：結局臨到我民以色列了；我必不再寬容他。

8:3

καὶ ὀλολύξει τὰ φατνώματα τοῦ ναοῦ ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ λέγει κύριος πολὺς ὁ πεπτωκὼς ἐν παντὶ τόπῳ ἐπιρρίψω σιωπήν

And the panelled ceilings of the temple shall howl in that day, says the Lord; many shall be the fallen in every place; I will cast silence upon them.

當那日，殿宇的鑲板必哀號。這是主說的。在各處倒斃的人甚多；我必使靜默臨到。

8:4

ἀκούσατε δὴ ταῦτα οἱ ἐκτρίβοντες εἰς τὸ πρωὶ πένητα καὶ καταδυναστεύοντες πτωχοὺς ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς

Hear now this, you who crush the needy in the morning and oppress the poor of the land.

你們這些清早就欺壓窮乏人、從地上壓制貧窮人的，要聽這話。

8:5

οἱ λέγοντες πότε διελεύσεται ὁ μὴν καὶ ἐμπολήσομεν καὶ τὰ σάββατα καὶ ἀνοίξομεν θησαυροὺς τοῦ ποιῆσαι μικρὸν μέτρον καὶ τοῦ μεγαλῦναι στάθμια καὶ ποιῆσαι ζυγὸν ἄδικον

You who say: When will the month pass, that we may trade, and the sabbaths, that we may open our storehouses, to make the measure small and to enlarge the weights and to make a dishonest balance;

你們說：月朔幾時過去，我們好賣糧？安息日幾時過去，我們好開倉？好縮小升斗，加重法碼，用詭詐的天平欺哄人；

8:6

τοῦ κτᾶσθαι ἐν ἀργυρίῳ πτωχοὺς καὶ ταπεινὸν ἀντὶ ὑποδημάτων καὶ ἀπὸ παντὸς γενήματος ἐμπορευσόμεθα

to buy the poor with silver and the lowly in exchange for sandals; and we will trade in every kind of produce.

好用銀子買窮人，用一雙鞋換卑微的人，又販賣各樣的糧食。

8:7

ὀμνύει κύριος καθ’ ὑπερηφανίας Ιακωβ εἰ ἐπιλησθήσεται εἰς νεῖκος πάντα τὰ ἔργα ὑμῶν

The Lord swears by the pride of Jacob: Surely all your works shall never be forgotten, unto victory.

主指著雅各的狂傲起誓說：你們一切的作為，斷不至於被忘記，直到得勝。

8:8

καὶ ἐπὶ τούτοις οὐ ταραχθήσεται ἡ γῆ καὶ πενθήσει πᾶς ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ ἀναβήσεται ὡς ποταμὸς συντέλεια καὶ καταβήσεται ὡς ποταμὸς Αἰγύπτου

Shall not the land be troubled at these things, and everyone who dwells in it mourn? And destruction shall rise up as a river and go down as the river of Egypt.

因這事，地豈不震動麼？住在其中的豈不都悲哀麼？毀滅必如河水漲起，又如埃及的河落下。

8:9

καὶ ἔσται ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός καὶ δύσεται ὁ ἥλιος μεσημβρίας καὶ συσκοτάσει ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἐν ἡμέρᾳ τὸ φῶς

And it shall come to pass in that day, says the Lord God, that the sun shall set at midday, and the light shall be darkened upon the earth in the daytime.

主神說：當那日，日頭必在正午落下，白晝的光必在地上變為黑暗。
