13:1

ὁ ἁπτόμενος πίσσης μολυνθήσεται καὶ ὁ κοινωνῶν ὑπερηφάνῳ ὁμοιωθήσεται αὐτῷ

He that touches pitch will be defiled; And he that has fellowship with a proud man will become like to him.

摸瀝青的必被沾污，與驕傲人來往的必變得與他一樣。

13:2

βάρος ὑπὲρ σὲ μὴ ἄρῃς καὶ ἰσχυροτέρῳ σου καὶ πλουσιωτέρῳ μὴ κοινώνει τί κοινωνήσει χύτρα πρὸς λέβητα αὕτη προσκρούσει καὶ αὕτη συντριβήσεται

Take not up a burden above your strength; And have no fellowship with one that is mightier and richer than yourself. What fellowship shall the earthen pot have with the kettle? This will strike, and that will be dashed in pieces.

不要背負超過你能力的重擔，不要與比你強盛富有的人交往。瓦罐怎能與銅鍋相碰？這一碰，瓦罐必被撞碎。

13:3

πλούσιος ἠδίκησεν καὶ αὐτὸς προσενεβριμήσατο πτωχὸς ἠδίκηται καὶ αὐτὸς προσδεηθήσεται

The rich man does a wrong, and he threatens withal: The poor is wronged, and he will entreat withal.

富人行了不義，反倒威嚇人；窮人受了冤屈，還得向人哀求。

13:4

ἐὰν χρησιμεύσῃς ἐργᾶται ἐν σοί καὶ ἐὰν ὑστερήσῃς καταλείψει σε

If you be profitable, he will make merchandise of you; And if you be in lack, he will forsake you.

你若對他有用，他便利用你；你若有所缺乏，他便撇棄你。

13:5

ἐὰν ἔχῃς συμβιώσεταί σοι καὶ ἀποκενώσει σε καὶ αὐτὸς οὐ πονέσει

If you have substance, he will live with you; And he will make you bare, and will not be sorry.

你若有財物，他便與你同住，耗盡你的所有，自己卻毫不痛惜。

13:6

χρείαν ἔσχηκέν σου καὶ ἀποπλανήσει σε καὶ προσγελάσεταί σοι καὶ δώσει σοι ἐλπίδα λαλήσει σοι καλὰ καὶ ἐρεῖ τίς ἡ χρεία σου

Hath he had need of you? then he will deceive you, And smile upon you, and give you hope: He will speak you fair, and say, What need you?

他若有求於你，便哄騙你，向你陪笑，給你盼望；他向你說好話，並說：『你需要什麼呢？』

13:7

καὶ αἰσχυνεῖ σε ἐν τοῖς βρώμασιν αὐτοῦ ἕως οὗ ἀποκενώσῃ σε δὶς ἢ τρίς καὶ ἐπ’ ἐσχάτων καταμωκήσεταί σου μετὰ ταῦτα ὄψεταί σε καὶ καταλείψει σε καὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ κινήσει ἐπὶ σοί

And he will shame you by his meats, Until he have made you bare twice or thrice, And at the last he will laugh you to scorn: Afterward will he see you, and will forsake you, And shake his head at you.

他以筵席使你蒙羞，直到把你榨乾兩三次，末了便譏笑你；此後他見了你，便撇棄你，向你搖頭。

13:8

πρόσεχε μὴ ἀποπλανηθῇς καὶ μὴ ταπεινωθῇς ἐν ἀφροσύνῃ σου

Beware that you be not deceived, and brought low in your mirth.

要謹慎，免得你被哄騙，在你的歡樂中被貶為卑下。

13:9

προσκαλεσαμένου σε δυνάστου ὑποχωρῶν γίνου καὶ τόσῳ μᾶλλόν σε προσκαλέσεται

If a mighty man invite you, be retiring, And so much the more will he invite you.

權貴若邀請你，你要退讓；他便會越發邀請你。
