16:1
ወግዕዙ ፡ እምኤ[ሌም] ፡ ወመጽኡ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ዘሲ[ን] ፡ ወውእቱ ፡ ማእከለ ፡ ኤ[ሌ]ም ፡ ወሲና ፡ አመ ፡ ዐሡር ፡ ወኀሙስ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ለካልእ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ [እምዘ ፡] ወፅኡ ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
以色列全會眾從以琳起行，在出埃及後第二個月十五日到了以琳和西奈中間、汛的曠野。
They took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.
16:2
ወአንጐርጐረ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በላዕለ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ወአሮን ።
以色列全會眾在曠野向摩西、亞倫發怨言，
The whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron in the wilderness;
16:3
ወይቤልዎሙ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ሶበ ፡ ሞትነ ፡ በመቅሠፍተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ አመ ፡ ንነብር ፡ ጠቃ ፡ ጸሀርት ፡ ዘሥጋ ፡ ወንበልዕ ፡ ኅብስተ ፡ እስከ ፡ ንጸግብ ፤ አምጻእከነ ፡ አንተ ፡ ውስተዝ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ከመ ፡ ትቅትል ፡ ኵለነ ፡ በኀበ ፡ ተጋባእነ ።
說：「巴不得我們早死在埃及地、耶和華的手下；那時我們坐在肉鍋旁邊，吃得飽足。你們將我們領出來，到這曠野，是要叫這全會眾都餓死啊！」
and the children of Israel said to them, “We wish that we had died by Yahweh’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots, when we ate our fill of bread, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”
16:4
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ናሁ ፡ አነ ፡ ኣወርድ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ኅብስተ ፡ እምሰማይ ፡ ወይምጻእ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ወያስተጋብእ ፡ ለለ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ከመ ፡ አመክሮሙ ፡ ለእመ ፡ የሐውሩ ፡ በሕግየ ፡ ወእመ ፡ አልቦ ።
耶和華對摩西說：「我要將糧食從天降給你們。百姓可以出去，每天收每天的分，我好試驗他們遵不遵我的法度。
Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from the sky for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.
16:5
ወአመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ዐርብ ፡ ያስተዳልው ፡ ዘአብኡ ፡ ይኩኖሙ ፡ ካዕበተ ፡ ለለዕለት ፡ ወዘአስተጋብ[ኡ ፡] ዘልፈ ፡ ለለዕለቱ ።
到第六天，他們要把所收進來的預備好了，比每天所收的多一倍。」
It shall come to pass on the sixth day, that they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”
16:6
ወይቤሉ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ወአሮን ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምሰርክ ፡ ታአምሩ ፡ ከመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አውፅአክሙ ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
摩西、亞倫對以色列眾人說：「到了晚上，你們要知道是耶和華將你們從埃及地領出來的。
Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel, “At evening, you shall know that Yahweh has brought you out from the land of Egypt.
16:7
ወነግህ ፡ ትሬእዩ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሰሚዖ ፡ ነጐርጓረክሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወንሕነ ፡ ምንት ፡ ንሕነ ፡ ዘታንጐረጕሩ ፡ በላዕሌነ ።
早晨，你們要看見耶和華的榮耀，因為耶和華聽見你們向他所發的怨言了。我們算甚麼，你們竟向我們發怨言呢？」
In the morning, you shall see Yahweh’s glory; because he hears your murmurings against Yahweh. Who are we, that you murmur against us?”
16:8
ወይቤ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ሰርከ ፡ ይሁበክሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሥጋ ፡ ትብልዑ ፡ ወነግህ ፡ ኅብስተ ፡ እስከ ፡ ትጸግቡ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሰምዐ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ነጐርጓረክሙ ፡ ነጐርጓር ፡ ዘታንጐረጕሩ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ በላዕሌነ ፡ ወንሕነ ፡ ምንት ፡ ንሕነ ፡ ወዝ ፡ ነጐርጓርክሙ ፡ አኮ ፡ በላዕሌነ ፡ ዘታንጐረጕሩ ፡ [አላ ፡ በ]ላዕለ ፡ ፈጣሪ ።
摩西又說：「耶和華晚上必給你們肉吃，早晨必給你們食物得飽；因為你們向耶和華發的怨言，他都聽見了。我們算甚麼，你們的怨言不是向我們發的，乃是向耶和華發的。」
Moses said, “Now Yahweh will give you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to satisfy you, because Yahweh hears your murmurings which you murmur against him. And who are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against Yahweh.”
16:9
ወይቤ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ለአሮን ፡ በል ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ተጋብኡ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ቅረቡ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ፈጣሪ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሰምዐ ፡ ነጐርጓረክሙ ።
摩西對亞倫說：「你告訴以色列全會眾說：『你們就近耶和華面前，因為他已經聽見你們的怨言了。』」
Moses said to Aaron, “Tell all the congregation of the children of Israel, ‘Come close to Yahweh, for he has heard your murmurings.’”
16:10
ወሶበ ፡ ይትናገር ፡ አሮን ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ተጋብኡ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወተመይጡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ወሠርሐ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ተርእ[የ ፡] በደመና ።
亞倫正對以色列全會眾說話的時候，他們向曠野觀看，不料，耶和華的榮光在雲中顯現。
As Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the children of Israel, they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, Yahweh’s glory appeared in the cloud.
16:11
ወይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፤
耶和華曉諭摩西說：
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
16:12
ሰማዕኩ ፡ ነጐርጓሮሙ ፡ ለውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወበሎሙ ፡ ሰርከ ፡ ትበልዑ ፡ ሥጋ ፡ ወጸቢሖ ፡ ትጸግቡ ፡ ኅብስተ ፡ ወታአምሩ ፡ ከመ ፡ አነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ፈጣሬ ፡ ዚአክሙ ።
「我已經聽見以色列人的怨言。你告訴他們說：『到黃昏的時候，你們要吃肉，早晨必有食物得飽，你們就知道我是耶和華－你們的上帝。』」
“I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel. Speak to them, saying, ‘At evening you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am Yahweh your God.’”
16:13
ወመስየ ፡ ወመጽአ ፡ ፍርፍርት ፡ ወከደነ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ትዕይንቶሙ ፡ ወነግሀ ፡ እንዘ ፡ የኀድግ ፡ ህቦ ፡ በኵርጓኔ ፡ ትዕይንቶሙ ፤
到了晚上，有鵪鶉飛來，遮滿了營；早晨在營四圍的地上有露水。
In the evening, quail came up and covered the camp; and in the morning the dew lay around the camp.
16:14
እምፍጽመ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ድቁቅ ፡ ከመ ፡ ተቅዳ ፡ ወጸዐዳ ፡ ከመ ፡ አስሐትያ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ።
露水上升之後，不料，野地面上有如白霜的小圓物。
When the dew that lay had gone, behold, on the surface of the wilderness was a small round thing, small as the frost on the ground.
16:15
ወርእዩ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወይቤ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ለካልኡ ፡ ምንት ፡ ውእቱዝ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢያአምሩ ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ዝውእቱ ፡ ኅብስት ፡ ዘወሀበክሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ትብልዑ ።
以色列人看見，不知道是甚麼，就彼此對問說：「這是甚麼呢？」摩西對他們說：「這就是耶和華給你們吃的食物。
When the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they didn’t know what it was. Moses said to them, “It is the bread which Yahweh has given you to eat.
16:16
ዝውእቱ ፡ ቃል ፡ ዘይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አስተጋብኡ ፡ እምውስቴቱ ፡ በንዋይክሙ ፡ ለለ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ በበ ፡ ኊልቈ ፡ ሰብኡ ፡ ለለርእሱ ፡ በንዋዩ ፡ ለያስተጋብእ ።
耶和華所吩咐的是這樣：你們要按着各人的飯量，為帳棚裏的人，按着人數收起來，各拿一俄梅珥。」
This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded: ‘Gather of it everyone according to his eating; an omer a head, according to the number of your persons, you shall take it, every man for those who are in his tent.’”
16:17
ወገብሩ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ፤ አስተጋብኡ ፡ ዘብዙኅኒ ፡ ወዘሕዳጥኒ ።
以色列人就這樣行；有多收的，有少收的。
The children of Israel did so, and some gathered more, some less.
16:18
ወሰፈሩ ፡ በጎሞር ፡ ወኢፈድፈደ ፡ ለዘ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ አስተጋብአ ፡ ወኢኀጸጸ ፡ ለዘ ፡ ኅዳጠ ፡ አስተጋብአ ፤ ብእሲ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ለለማኅደሩ ፡ አስቲጋብአ ።
及至用俄梅珥量一量，多收的也沒有餘，少收的也沒有缺；各人按着自己的飯量收取。
When they measured it with an omer, he who gathered much had nothing over, and he who gathered little had no lack. They each gathered according to his eating.
16:19
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወኢታትርፉ ፡ ለጌሠም ።
摩西對他們說：「所收的，不許甚麼人留到早晨。」
Moses said to them, “Let no one leave of it until the morning.”
16:20
ወኢሰምዕዎ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወአቤቱ ፡ ለነግህ ፡ ወዐጽየ ፡ ወጼአ ፡ ወተምዐ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ በላዕሌሆሙ ።
然而他們不聽摩西的話，內中有留到早晨的，就生蟲變臭了；摩西便向他們發怒。
Notwithstanding they didn’t listen to Moses, but some of them left of it until the morning, so it bred worms and became foul; and Moses was angry with them.
16:21
ወአስተጋብኡ ፡ በበነግህ ፡ ለለርእሱ ፡ ወእምከመ ፡ ሞቀ ፡ ፀሐይ ፡ ይምሁ ።
他們每日早晨，按着各人的飯量收取，日頭一發熱，就消化了。
They gathered it morning by morning, everyone according to his eating. When the sun grew hot, it melted.
16:22
ወበዕለተ ፡ ዐርብ ፡ ያስተጋብኡ ፡ ካዕበተ ፡ ጎሞር ፡ ለለአሐዱ ፡ ወቦአ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መኳንንተ ፡ ማኅበር ፡ ወይቤልዎ ፡ ለሙሴ ።
到第六天，他們收了雙倍的食物，每人兩俄梅珥。會眾的官長來告訴摩西；
On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one; and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
16:23
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ዝውእቱ ፡ ዘይቤሎሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ሰንበተ ፡ ዕረፍት ፡ ወቡርክት ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ጌሠመ ፤ ዘትግበሩ ፡ ሀለወክሙ ፡ ግበሩ ፤ ወዘታብስሉ ፡ ሀለወክሙ ፡ አብስሉ ፤ ወዘተርፈ ፡ አትርፉ ።
摩西對他們說：「耶和華這樣說：『明天是聖安息日，是向耶和華守的聖安息日。你們要烤的就烤了，要煮的就煮了，所剩下的都留到早晨。』」
He said to them, “This is that which Yahweh has spoken, ‘Tomorrow is a solemn rest, a holy Sabbath to Yahweh. Bake that which you want to bake, and boil that which you want to boil; and all that remains over lay up for yourselves to be kept until the morning.’”
16:24
ወአትረፉ ፡ ለነግህ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዘ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ወኢጼአ ፡ ወዕጼሂ ፡ ኢተፈጥረ ፡ በላዕሌሁ ።
他們就照摩西的吩咐留到早晨，也不臭，裏頭也沒有蟲子。
They laid it up until the morning, as Moses ordered, and it didn’t become foul, and there were no worms in it.
16:25
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ብልዑ ፡ ዮም ፡ እስመ ፡ ዮም ፡ ሰንበት ፡ ዘእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኢትረክቡ ፡ በገዳም ።
摩西說：「你們今天吃這個吧！因為今天是向耶和華守的安息日；你們在田野必找不着了。
Moses said, “Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath to Yahweh. Today you shall not find it in the field.
16:26
ሰዱሰ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ታስተጋብኡ ፡ ወአመ ፡ ሳብዕት ፡ ዕለት ፡ ሰንበት ፡ አሜሃ ፡ ኢትረክቡ ።
六天可以收取，第七天乃是安息日，那一天必沒有了。」
Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day is the Sabbath. In it there shall be none.”
16:27
ወአመ ፡ ሳብዕት ፡ ዕለት ፡ ቦዘወፅአ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያስተጋብእ ፡ ወኢረከበ ።
第七天，百姓中有人出去收，甚麼也找不着。
On the seventh day, some of the people went out to gather, and they found none.
16:28
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ እስከ ፡ ማእዜ ፡ ተአብዩ ፡ ትእዛዝየ ፡ ሰሚዐ ፡ ወሕግየ ።
耶和華對摩西說：「你們不肯守我的誡命和律法，要到幾時呢？
Yahweh said to Moses, “How long do you refuse to keep my commandments and my laws?
16:29
ርእዩ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወሀበክሙ ፡ ዘዕለተ ፡ ሰንበት ፡ በእንተዝ ፡ ወሀበክሙ ፡ በዕለተ ፡ ዐርብ ፡ ምሳሐ ፡ ለክልኤ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ወይንበር ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማኅደሩ ፡ ወኢይፃእ ፡ እምንባሪሁ ፡ አመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ሰንበት ።
你們看！耶和華既將安息日賜給你們，所以第六天他賜給你們兩天的食物，第七天各人要住在自己的地方，不許甚麼人出去。」
Behold, because Yahweh has given you the Sabbath, therefore he gives you on the sixth day the bread of two days. Everyone stay in his place. Let no one go out of his place on the seventh day.”
16:30
ወአሰንበተ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ በዕለተ ፡ ሰንበት ።
於是百姓第七天安息了。
So the people rested on the seventh day.
16:31
ወሰመይዎ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ መና ፡ ወከመ ፡ ፍሬ ፡ ተቅዳ ፡ ጸዐዳ ፡ ወጣዕሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢያተ ፡ መዓር ።
這食物，以色列家叫嗎哪；樣子像芫荽子，顏色是白的，滋味如同攙蜜的薄餅。
The house of Israel called its name “Manna”, and it was like coriander seed, white; and its taste was like wafers with honey.
16:32
ወይቤ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ዝቃል ፡ ዘአዘዘ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ትምልኡ ፡ ጎሞር ፡ መና ፡ ውስተ ፡ መሣይምቲክሙ ፡ ለዘመድክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይርአዩ ፡ ኅብስተ ፡ ዘበላዕክሙ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ በገዳም ፡ አመ ፡ አውፅአክሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
摩西說：「耶和華所吩咐的是這樣：『要將一滿俄梅珥嗎哪留到世世代代，使後人可以看見我當日將你們領出埃及地，在曠野所給你們吃的食物。』」
Moses said, “This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded, ‘Let an omer-full of it be kept throughout your generations, that they may see the bread with which I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.’”
16:33
ወይቤሎ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ለአሮን ፡ ንሣእ ፡ ቈጽለ ፡ ወርቅ ፡ አሐተ ፡ ረቃቀ ፡ ወግሉ ፡ ባቲ ፡ ጎሞር ፡ ዘመና ፡ ወታነብራ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለደኃሪ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ለአዝማዲክሙ ።
摩西對亞倫說：「你拿一個罐子，盛一滿俄梅珥嗎哪，存在耶和華面前，要留到世世代代。」
Moses said to Aaron, “Take a pot, and put an omer-full of manna in it, and lay it up before Yahweh, to be kept throughout your generations.”
16:34
እስመ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ [ወአንበሮ ፡ አሮን ፡] በቅድመ ፡ መርጡል ፡ ከመ ፡ ይትዐቀብ ።
耶和華怎麼吩咐摩西，亞倫就怎麼行，把嗎哪放在法櫃前存留。
As Yahweh commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.
16:35
[ወ]ውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በልዑ ፡ መና ፡ ፴ክረምተ ፡ እስከ ፡ ይበጽሑ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ያነብሮሙ ፡ በልዑ ፡ መና ፡ እስከ ፡ ይበጽሑ ፡ ደወለ ፡ ፊኒቅ ።
以色列人吃嗎哪共四十年，直到進了有人居住之地，就是迦南的境界。（
The children of Israel ate the manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land. They ate the manna until they came to the borders of the land of Canaan.
16:36
ወጎሞር ፡ ዐሠርቱ ፡ እድ ፡ ዘ፫መስፈርት ፡ ይእቲ ።
俄梅珥就是伊法十分之一。）
Now an omer is one tenth of an ephah.
