17:1
ወአንሥአ ፡ ትዕይንቶሙ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምገዳም ፡ ዘ[ሲ]ን ፡ በበ ፡ ትዕይንቶሙ ፡ በቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወበጽሑ ፡ ራፊድ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ህየ ፡ ዘይሰቲ ፡ ማየ ።
以色列全會眾都遵耶和華的吩咐，按着站口從汛的曠野往前行，在利非訂安營。百姓沒有水喝，
All the congregation of the children of Israel traveled from the wilderness of Sin, starting according to Yahweh’s commandment, and encamped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink.
17:2
ወግእዞ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወይቤልዎ ፡ ሀበነ ፡ ማየ ፡ ዘንሰቲ ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ምንተ ፡ ትግእዙ ፡ ኪያየ ፡ ወታሜክርዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
所以與摩西爭鬧，說：「給我們水喝吧！」摩西對他們說：「你們為甚麼與我爭鬧？為甚麼試探耶和華呢？」
Therefore the people quarreled with Moses, and said, “Give us water to drink.” Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test Yahweh?”
17:3
ወጸምኡ ፡ በህየ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ማየ ፡ ወአጐርጐርዎ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወይቤልዎ ፡ ለምንት ፡ አውጻእከነ ፡ እምግብጽ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትቅትለነ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ውሉድነ ፡ ወምስለ ፡ እንስሳነ ፡ በጽምእ ።
百姓在那裏甚渴，要喝水，就向摩西發怨言，說：「你為甚麼將我們從埃及領出來，使我們和我們的兒女並牲畜都渴死呢？」
The people were thirsty for water there; so the people murmured against Moses, and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us, our children, and our livestock with thirst?”
17:4
ወጸርኀ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውይቤ ፡ ሚእገብሮ ፡ ለዝ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ንስቲተ ፡ ክመ ፡ ተርፎሙ ፡ ወይዌግሩኒ ፡ በእብን ።
摩西就呼求耶和華說：「我向這百姓怎樣行呢？他們幾乎要拿石頭打死我。」
Moses cried to Yahweh, saying, “What shall I do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.”
17:5
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ቅድሜሆሙ ፡ ሑር ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ወንሣእ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ መላህቅተ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ወበትረከ ፡ በዘ ፡ ቦቱ ፡ ዘበጥከ ፡ ፈለገ ፡ ፅብጥ ፡ በእዴከ ።
耶和華對摩西說：「你手裏拿着你先前擊打河水的杖，帶領以色列的幾個長老，從百姓面前走過去。
Yahweh said to Moses, “Walk on before the people, and take the elders of Israel with you, and take the rod in your hand with which you struck the Nile, and go.
17:6
ወትመጽእ ፡ ለፌ ፡ ኀበ ፡ አነ ፡ እቀውም ፡ ለፌ ፡ መንገለ ፡ ኰኵሕ ፡ ዘኮሬብ ፡ ወትዘብጦ ፡ ለኰኵሕ ፡ ወይወፅእ ፡ በውስቴቱ ፡ ማይ ፡ ወይስተይ ፡ ሕዝብ ፤ ወገብረ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በቅድሜሆሙ ፡ ለውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ።
我必在何烈的磐石那裏，站在你面前。你要擊打磐石，從磐石裏必有水流出來，使百姓可以喝。」摩西就在以色列的長老眼前這樣行了。
Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb. You shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
17:7
ወሰመዮ ፡ ለውእቱ ፡ ፍና ፡ መንሱት ፡ ወጋእዝ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ግእዘት ፡ ዘግእዝዎ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወአመከሩ ፡ ፈጣሬ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ወይቤሉ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ሀሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወለእመ ፡ ኢሀሎ ፡ ምስሌነ ።
他給那地方起名叫瑪撒 ，又叫米利巴 ；因以色列人爭鬧，又因他們試探耶和華，說：「耶和華是在我們中間不是？」
He called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because the children of Israel quarreled, and because they tested Yahweh, saying, “Is Yahweh among us, or not?”
17:8
ወመጽአ ፡ ዐማሌቅ ፡ ወይትቃተል ፡ በራፊድ ።
那時，亞瑪力人來在利非訂，和以色列人爭戰。
Then Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
17:9
ወይቤ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ለኢየሱስ ፡ ኅረይ ፡ ለከ ፡ ዕደወ ፡ ወፃእ ፡ ወተአኀዞ ፡ ለዐማሌቅ ፡ ጌሠመ ፡ ወናሁ ፡ አነ ፡ እቀውም ፡ ዲበ ፡ ርእሰ ፡ ወግር ፡ ወበትር ፡ ዘእግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዴየ ።
摩西對約書亞說：「你為我們選出人來，出去和亞瑪力人爭戰。明天我手裏要拿着上帝的杖，站在山頂上。」
Moses said to Joshua, “Choose men for us, and go out to fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with God’s rod in my hand.”
17:10
ወገብረ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ወተራከቦ ፡ ለዐማሌቅ ፡ ወሙሴ ፡ ወአሮን ፡ ወሆር ፡ ዐርጉ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ርእሳ ፡ ለወግር ።
於是約書亞照着摩西對他所說的話行，和亞瑪力人爭戰。摩西、亞倫，與戶珥都上了山頂。
So Joshua did as Moses had told him, and fought with Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
17:11
ወሶበ ፡ ያነሥእ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ እደዊሁ ፡ ይወፅእ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወሶበ ፡ የዐጽብ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ያወርድ ፡ እደዊሁ ፡ ወይትወፅኡ ፡ እስራኤል ።
摩西何時舉手，以色列人就得勝，何時垂手，亞瑪力人就得勝。
When Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed. When he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
17:12
ወእደዊሁ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ክቡድ ፡ ወአንበሩ ፡ እብነ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ወይነብሩ ፡ ላዕሌሆን ፡ አሮን ፡ ወሆር ፡ ወይጸውሩ ፡ እደዊሁ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ በለፌ ፡ ወአሐዱ ፡ በለፌ ፡ ወቆማ ፡ እደዊሁ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ርቡባቲሆን ፡ እስከ ፡ ዕርበተ ፡ ፀሐይ ።
但摩西的手發沉，他們就搬石頭來，放在他以下，他就坐在上面。亞倫與戶珥扶着他的手，一個在這邊，一個在那邊，他的手就穩住，直到日落的時候。
But Moses’ hands were heavy; so they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side. His hands were steady until sunset.
17:13
ወሜጦሙ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ለዐማሌቅ ፡ ምሰለ ፡ ሕዝቡ ፡ ወቀተሎሙ ፡ በኅፂን ።
約書亞用刀殺了亞瑪力王和他的百姓。
Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
17:14
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሲ ፡ ጸሐፍዛ ፡ ለተዝካር ፡ ወአይድዖ ፡ ለኢየሱስ ፡ ድምሳሴ ፡ እደመስሶሙ ፡ ለዐማሌቅ ፡ እምታሕተ ፡ ሰማይ ።
耶和華對摩西說：「我要將亞瑪力的名號從天下全然塗抹了；你要將這話寫在書上作紀念，又念給約書亞聽。」
Yahweh said to Moses, “Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under the sky.”
17:15
ወአሕነጸ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ምሥዋዐ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወሰመዮ ፡ ስሞ ፡ ምምሕፃን ፤
摩西築了一座壇，起名叫「耶和華尼西」 ，
Moses built an altar, and called its name “Yahweh our Banner”.
17:16
እስመ ፡ በእድ ፡ ኅብእት ፡ ይፀብኦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለዐማሌቅ ፡ ለዘመደ ፡ ዘመድ ።
又說：「耶和華已經起了誓，必世世代代和亞瑪力人爭戰。」
He said, “Yah has sworn: ‘Yahweh will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.’”
