1:1

ቃለ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘኮነ፡ ኀበ፡ ሆሴዕ፡ ወልደ፡ ብኤርም፡ በመዋዕለ፡ ኦዝያን፡ ወኢዮአታም፡ ወአካዝ፡ ወሕዝቅያስ፡ ነገሥተ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወበመዋዕለ፡ ኢዮርብዓም፡ ወልደ፡ ዮአስ፡ ንጉሠ፡ እስራኤል።

當烏西雅、約坦、亞哈斯、希西家作猶大王，約阿施的兒子耶羅波安作以色列王的時候，耶和華的話臨到備利的兒子何西阿。

Yahweh’s word that came to Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

1:2

ቀዳሜ፡ ቃሉ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ዘኮነ፡ ኀበ፡ ሆሴዕ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ለሆሴዕ፡ ሑር፡ አውስብ፡ ብእሲተ፡ ዘማ፡ ወአዋልደ፡ ዘማ፡ እስመ፡ ዘምዎ፡ ትዜሙ፡ ምድር፡ እምድኅረ፡ እግዚአብሔር።

耶和華初次與何西阿說話，對他說：「你去娶淫婦為妻，也收那從淫亂所生的兒女；因為這地大行淫亂，離棄耶和華。」

When Yahweh spoke at first by Hosea, Yahweh said to Hosea, “Go, take for yourself a wife of prostitution and children of unfaithfulness; for the land commits great adultery, forsaking Yahweh.”

1:3

ወሖረ፡ ወአውሰበ፡ ጎሜርሃ፡ ወለተ፡ ቤዴልይም፡ ወፀንሰት፡ ወወለደት፡ ሎቱ፡ ወልደ።

於是，何西阿去娶了滴拉音的女兒歌篾。這婦人懷孕，給他生了一個兒子。

So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived, and bore him a son.

1:4

ወይቤሎ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ስምዮ፡ ስሞ፡ ኢይዝራኤል፡ እስመ፡ ዓዲ፡ ኅዳጠ፡ እትቤቀል፡ ደሞ፡ ለኢይዝራኤል፡ ወእስዕር፡ መንግሥተ፡ እምቤተ፡ እስራኤል።

耶和華對何西阿說：「給他起名叫耶斯列；因為再過片時，我必討耶戶家在耶斯列殺人流血的罪，也必使以色列家的國滅絕。

Yahweh said to him, “Call his name Jezreel, for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, and will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease.

1:5

ወይከውን፡ ይእተ፡ አሚረ፡ እቀጠቅጥ፡ ቀስተ፡ እስራኤል፡ በቆላተ፡ ኢይዝራኤል።

到那日，我必在耶斯列平原折斷以色列的弓。」

It will happen in that day that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.”

1:6

ወፀንሰት፡ ካዕበ፡ ወወለደት፡ ወለተ። ወይቤሎ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ስምያ፡ ስማ፡ ኢሥህልት፡ እስመ፡ ኢይደግም፡ እንከ፡ ተሣህሎቶሙ፡ ለቤተ፡ እስራኤል፡ ዳእሙ፡ ተናክሮ፡ እትናከሮሙ።

歌篾又懷孕生了一個女兒，耶和華對何西阿說：「給她起名叫羅‧路哈瑪；因為我必不再憐憫以色列家，決不赦免他們。

She conceived again, and bore a daughter. Then he said to him, “Call her name Lo-Ruhamah, for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, that I should in any way pardon them.

1:7

ወእሣሃሎሙ፡ ለደቂቀ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወአድኅኖሙ፡ አነ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላኮሙ፡ ወኢያድኅኖሙ፡ በቀስት፡ ወበኵናት፡ ወኢ፡ በሠረገላት፡ ወኢ፡ በጸባኢት፡ ወኢ፡ በአፍራስ፡ ወኢ፡ በመስተፅዕናን።

我卻要憐憫猶大家，使他們靠耶和華－他們的上帝得救，不使他們靠弓、刀、爭戰、馬匹，與馬兵得救。」

But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and will save them by Yahweh their God, and will not save them by bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen.”

1:8

ወአኅደግዋ፡ ጥበ፡ ለኢሥህልት፡ ወፀንሰት፡ ዳግመ፡ ወወለደት፡ ወልደ።

歌篾給羅‧路哈瑪斷奶以後，又懷孕生了一個兒子。

Now when she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived, and bore a son.

1:9

ወይቤሎ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ስምዮ፡ ስሞ፡ ኢ፡ ሕዝብየ፡ እስመ፡ አንትሙ፡ ኢኮንክሙ፡ ሕዝብየ፡ ወአነሂ፡ ኢኮንኩ፡ አምላክክሙ።

耶和華說：「給他起名叫羅‧阿米；因為你們不作我的子民，我也不作你們的上帝。」

He said, “Call his name Lo-Ammi, for you are not my people, and I will not be yours.

1:10

ወይከውን፡ ኍልቆሙ፡ ለደቂቀ፡ እስራኤል፡ ከም፡ ኆፃ፡ ባሕር፡ ዘኢይሰፈር፡ ወዘኢይትኌለቊ፡ ወይከውኑ፡ በውእቱ፡ ብሔር፡ በኀበ፡ ይቤሎሙ፡ ኢኮንክሙ፡ ሕዝብየ፡ አንትሙ፡ እስመ፡ እሙንቱ፡ ይሰመዩ፡ ውሉደ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ሕያው።

然而，以色列的人數必如海沙，不可量，不可數。從前在甚麼地方對他們說「你們不是我的子民」，將來在那裏必對他們說「你們是永生上帝的兒子」。

Yet the number of the children of Israel will be as the sand of the sea, which can’t be measured or counted; and it will come to pass that, in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’

1:11

ወእም፡ ዝ፡ ይትጋብኡ፡ ደቂቀ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወደቂቀ፡ እስራኤል፡ ኅቡረ፡ ወይሠይሙ፡ አሐደ፡ መልአከ፡ ወያዐርጎሙ፡ እምድር፡ እስመ፡ ዐባይ፡ ዕለቱ፡ ለእስራኤል።

猶大人和以色列人必一同聚集，為自己立一個首領，從這地上去，因為耶斯列的日子必為大日。

The children of Judah and the children of Israel will be gathered together, and they will appoint themselves one head, and will go up from the land; for great will be the day of Jezreel.
