7:1
Anno centesimo quinquagesimo primo, exiit Demetrius Seleuci filius ab urbe Roma, et ascendit cum paucis viris in civitatem maritimam, et regnavit illic.
一百五十一年,西流基的兒子底米丟從羅馬出來,帶著少數人上到一座海邊的城,在那裡作王。
In the hundred and one and fifties year Demetrius the son of Seleucus came forth from Rome, and went up with a few men to a city by the sea, and reigned there.
7:2
Et factum est, ut ingressus est domum regni patrum suorum, comprehendit exercitus Antiochum et Lysiam, ut adducerent eos ad eum.
當他要進入他列祖的王宮時,軍隊就拿住安提阿古和呂西亞,要把他們帶到他面前。
And it came to pass, when he would go into the house of the kingdom of his fathers, that the army laid hands on Antiochus and Lysias, to bring them to him.
7:3
Et res ei innotuit, et ait : Nolite mihi ostendere faciem eorum.
這事被他知道了,他說:「不要讓我看見他們的面。」
And the thing was known to him, and he said, show me not their faces.
7:4
Et occidit eos exercitus. Et sedit Demetrius super sedem regni sui.
軍隊就把他們殺了。於是底米丟坐上他的王位。
And the army killed them. And Demetrius sat upon the throne of his kingdom.
7:5
Et venerunt ad eum viri iniqui et impii ex Israël : et Alcimus dux eorum, qui volebat fieri sacerdos.
以色列中一切不法不敬虔的人都來到他那裡,亞基母作他們的首領,想要作大祭司。
And there came to him all the lawless and ungodly men of Israel; and Alcimus was their leader, desiring to be high priest;
7:6
Et accusaverunt populum apud regem, dicentes : Perdidit Judas et fratres ejus omnes amicos tuos, et nos dispersit de terra nostra.
他們在王面前控告百姓說:「猶大和他的弟兄們殺了你一切的朋友,又把我們從本地趕散了。
and they accused the people to the king, saying, Judas and his kindred have destroyed all your friends, and have scattered us from our own land.
7:7
Nunc ergo mitte virum, cui credis, ut eat, et videat exterminium omne quod fecit nobis, et regionibus regis : et puniat omnes amicos ejus, et adjutores eorum.
如今請你差派一個你所信任的人去看,他在我們和王的境內所造成的一切毀滅,又怎樣懲罰他們和一切幫助他們的人。」
Now therefore send a man whom you trust, and let him go and see all the havock which he has made of us, and of the king’s country, and how he has punished them and all that helped them.
7:8
Et elegit rex ex amicis suis Bacchidem, qui dominabatur trans flumen magnum in regno, et fidelem regi : et misit eum,
王就揀選了巴基德,這是王的朋友之一,管轄大河那邊之地,在國中是個大人物,又對王忠心。
And the king chose Bacchides, one of the king’s Friends, who was ruler in the country beyond the river, and was a great man in the kingdom, and faithful to the king.
7:9
ut videret exterminium quod fecit Judas : sed et Alcimum impium constituit in sacerdotium, et mandavit ei facere ultionem in filios Israël.
王差他和那不敬虔的亞基母同去,立亞基母作大祭司,又吩咐他向以色列子民施行報復。
And he sent him, and that ungodly Alcimus, and made sure to him the high priesthood, and he commanded him to take vengeance upon the children of Israel.
7:10
Et surrexerunt, et venerunt cum exercitu magno in terram Juda : et miserunt nuntios, et locuti sunt ad Judam et ad fratres ejus verbis pacificis in dolo.
他們率領大軍進入猶大地,差使者用和平的話、卻帶著詭詐去見猶大和他的弟兄們。
And they removed, and came with a great army into the land of Judah, and he sent messengers to Judas and his kindred with words of peace deceitfully.
7:11
Et non intenderunt sermonibus eorum : viderunt enim quia venerunt cum exercitu magno.
猶大他們卻不理會他們的話,因為看出他們是帶著大軍而來的。
And they gave no heed to their words; for they saw that they were come with a great army.
7:12
Et convenerunt ad Alcimum et Bacchidem congregatio scribarum requirere quæ justa sunt :
有一羣文士聚集到亞基母和巴基德那裡,要尋求公道。
And there were gathered together to Alcimus and Bacchides a company of scribes, to seek for justice.
7:13
et primi, Assidæi qui erant in filiis Israël : et exquirebant ab eis pacem.
以色列子民中,哈西典人率先向他們求和,
And the Hasidaeans were the first among the children of Israel that sought peace of them;
7:14
Dixerunt enim : Homo sacerdos de semine Aaron venit ; non decipiet nos :
因為他們說:「有一位亞倫後裔的祭司隨軍而來,他必不會虧待我們。」
for they said, One that is a priest of the seed of Aaron is come with the forces, and he will do us no wrong.
7:15
et locutus est cum eis verba pacifica, et juravit illis, dicens : Non inferemus vobis malum, neque amicis vestris.
亞基母對他們說和平的話,又向他們起誓說:「我們必不謀害你們和你們的朋友。」
And he spoke with them words of peace, and sware to them, saying, We will seek the hurt neither of you nor your friends.
7:16
Et crediderunt ei : et comprehendit ex eis sexaginta viros, et occidit eos in una die, secundum verbum quod scriptum est :
他們就信了他。他卻從他們中間拿住六十個人,一日之間把他們殺了,正如經上所寫的話:
And they gave him credence: and he laid hands on threescore men of them, and killed them in one day, according to the word which the psalmist wrote,
7:17
Carnes sanctorum tuorum, et sanguinem ipsorum effuderunt in circuitu Jerusalem, et non erat qui sepeliret.
「他們把你聖民的肉丟棄,在耶路撒冷四圍流他們的血,無人埋葬他們。」
The flesh of your saints did they cast out, And their blood did they shed round about Jerusalem; And there was no man to bury them.
7:18
Et incubuit timor et tremor in omnem populum : quia dixerunt : Non est veritas, et judicium in eis : transgressi sunt enim constitutum, et jusjurandum quod juraverunt.
於是對他們的懼怕戰兢臨到眾百姓,因為他們說:「這些人毫無誠實公道,竟違背了所立的約和所起的誓。」
And the fear and the dread of them fell upon all the people, for they said, There is neither truth nor judgement in them; for they have broken the covenant and the oath which they sware.
7:19
Et movit Bacchides castra ab Jerusalem, et applicuit in Bethzecha : et misit, et comprehendit multos ex eis qui a se effugerant : et quosdam de populo mactavit, et in puteum magnum projecit.
巴基德從耶路撒冷拔營,在比西出安營,又差人拿住許多跟隨他卻投降過來的人,並百姓中的一些人,把他們殺了,丟在大坑裡。
And Bacchides removed from Jerusalem, and encamped in Bezeth; and he sent and took away many of the deserters that were with him, and certain of the people, and he killed them, and cast them into the great pit.
7:20
Et commisit regionem Alcimo, et reliquit cum eo auxilium in adjutorium ipsi. Et abiit Bacchides ad regem :
他把那地交給亞基母治理,留下一支軍隊幫助他,巴基德就回到王那裡去了。
And he made sure the country to Alcimus, and left with him a force to aid him; and Bacchides went away to the king.
7:21
et satis agebat Alcimus pro principatu sacerdotii sui :
亞基母為要爭奪大祭司的職位而苦爭。
And Alcimus strove for his high priesthood.
7:22
et convenerunt ad eum omnes, qui perturbabant populum suum, et obtinuerunt terram Juda, et fecerunt plagam magnam in Israël.
一切擾害本族百姓的人都聚集到他那裡,他們轄制了猶大地,在以色列中大行傷害。
And there were gathered to him all those who troubled their people, and they got the mastery of the land of Judah, and did great hurt in Israel.
7:23
Et vidit Judas omnia mala quæ fecit Alcimus et qui cum eo erant filiis Israël, multo plus quam gentes :
猶大看見亞基母和他的同夥在以色列子民中所行的一切惡事,比外邦人更甚,
And Judas saw all the mischief that Alcimus and his company had done among the children of Israel, even above the Gentiles,
7:24
et exiit in omnes fines Judææ in circuitu, et fecit vindictam in viros desertores, et cessaverunt ultra exire in regionem.
就出去走遍猶大四圍的境界,向那些背叛投降的人施行報應,阻止他們出入鄉間。
and he went out into all the coasts of Judea round about, and took vengeance on the men that had deserted from him, and they were restrained from going forth into the country.
7:25
Vidit autem Alcimus quod prævaluit Judas et qui cum eo erant, et cognovit quia non potest sustinere eos : et regressus est ad regem, et accusavit eos multis criminibus.
亞基母見猶大和他的同夥強盛起來,知道自己不能抵擋他們,就回到王那裡,惡言控告他們。
But when Alcimus saw that Judas and his company waxed strong, and knew that he was not able to withstand them, he returned to the king, and brought evil accusations against them.
7:26
Et misit rex Nicanorem, unum ex principibus suis nobilioribus, qui erat inimicitias exercens contra Israël : et mandavit ei evertere populum.
王差派尼加挪,這是他尊貴的首領之一,恨惡並仇視以色列,又吩咐他除滅那百姓。
And the king sent Nicanor, one of his honorable princes, a man that hated Israel and was their enemy, and commanded him to destroy the people.
7:27
Et venit Nicanor in Jerusalem cum exercitu magno, et misit ad Judam et ad fratres ejus verbis pacificis cum dolo,
尼加挪率領大軍來到耶路撒冷,用詭詐向猶大和他的弟兄們說和平的話,說:
And Nicanor came to Jerusalem with a great army; and he sent to Judas and his kindred deceitfully with words of peace, saying,
7:28
dicens : Non sit pugna inter me et vos : veniam cum viris paucis, ut videam facies vestras cum pace.
「願你我之間不再有爭鬥。我要帶少數人來,要和和平平地與你們相見。」
Let there be no battle between me and you; I will come with a few men, that I may see your faces in peace.
7:29
Et venit ad Judam, et salutaverunt se invicem pacifice : et hostes parati erant rapere Judam.
他來見猶大,他們和和平平地彼此問安。然而那些仇敵卻預備要強行擄走猶大。
And he came to Judas, and they saluted one another peaceably. And the enemies were ready to take away Judas by violence.
7:30
Et innotuit sermo Judæ quoniam cum dolo venerat ad eum : et conterritus est ab eo, et amplius noluit videre faciem ejus.
猶大知道了他是用詭詐而來,就十分懼怕他,不肯再見他的面。
And the thing was known to Judas, to wit, that he came to him with deceit, and he was sore afraid of him, and would see his face no more.
7:31
Et cognovit Nicanor quoniam denudatum est consilium ejus : et exivit obviam Judæ in pugnam juxta Capharsalama.
尼加挪見自己的計謀已被識破,就出去在迦法撒拉瑪迎戰猶大。
And Nicanor knew that his counsel was discovered; and he went out to meet Judas in battle beside Capharsalama;
7:32
Et ceciderunt de Nicanoris exercitu fere quinque millia viri, et fugerunt in civitatem David.
尼加挪那邊倒下了約五百人,其餘的逃進大衛城。
and there fell of Nicanor’s side about five hundred men, and they fled into the city of David.
7:33
Et post hæc verba ascendit Nicanor in montem Sion : et exierunt de sacerdotibus populi salutare eum in pace, et demonstrare ei holocautomata, quæ offerebantur pro rege.
這些事以後,尼加挪上到錫安山。有些祭司從聖所出來,又有些百姓的長老出來,和和平平地向他問安,並指給他看那為王所獻的燔祭。
And after these things Nicanor went up to mount Sion: and there came some of the priests out of the sanctuary, and some of the elders of the people, to salute him peaceably, and to show him the whole burned sacrifice that was being offered for the king.
7:34
Et irridens sprevit eos, et polluit : et locutus est superbe,
他卻譏笑他們,戲弄他們,玷污他們,又說狂傲的話,
And he mocked them, and laughed at them, and entreated them shamefully, and spoke haughtily,
7:35
et juravit cum ira, dicens : Nisi traditus fuerit Judas et exercitus ejus in manus meas, continuo cum regressus fuero in pace, succendam domum istam. Et exiit cum ira magna.
並氣忿忿地起誓說:「除非如今把猶大和他的軍隊交在我手中,否則我若平平安安回來,必焚燒這殿。」說罷,就大發烈怒出去了。
and sware in a rage, saying, Unless Judas and his army be now delivered into my hands, it shall be that, if I come again in peace, I will burn up this house: and he went out in a great rage.
7:36
Et intraverunt sacerdotes, et steterunt ante faciem altaris et templi, et flentes dixerunt :
祭司們進去,站在祭壇和聖殿前,哭泣著說:
And the priests entered in, and stood before the altar and the temple; and they wept, and said,
7:37
Tu, Domine, elegisti domum istam ad invocandum nomen tuum in ea, ut esset domus orationis et obsecrationis populo tuo :
「你揀選這殿,要使你的名得稱於其上,作你百姓禱告祈求的殿。
You did choose this house to be called by your name, to be a house of prayer and supplication for your people:
7:38
fac vindictam in homine isto et exercitu ejus, et cadant in gladio : memento blasphemias eorum, et ne dederis eis ut permaneant.
求你向這人和他的軍隊施行報應,使他們倒在刀下。求你記念他們褻瀆的話,不容他們存留。」
take vengeance on this man and his army, and let them fall by the sword: remember their blasphemies, and suffer them not to live any longer.
7:39
Et exiit Nicanor ab Jerusalem, et castra applicuit ad Bethoron : et occurrit illi exercitus Syriæ.
尼加挪從耶路撒冷出去,在伯和崙安營,敘利亞的軍隊與他會合。
And Nicanor went forth from Jerusalem, and encamped in Bethhoron, and there met him the army of Syria.
7:40
Et Judas applicuit in Adarsa cum tribus millibus viris : et oravit Judas, et dixit :
猶大率領三千人在亞大撒安營。猶大禱告說:
And Judas encamped in Adasa with three thousand men: and Judas prayed and said,
7:41
Qui missi erant a rege Sennacherib, Domine, quia blasphemaverunt te, exiit angelus, et percussit ex eis centum octoginta quinque millia :
「從前王所差來的人褻瀆神的時候,你的使者出去,在他們中間擊殺了十八萬五千人。
When those who came from the king blasphemed, your angel went out, and struck among them a hundred and fourscore and five thousand.
7:42
sic contere exercitum istum in conspectu nostro hodie : et sciant ceteri quia male locutus est super sancta tua : et judica illum secundum malitiam illius.
求你照樣在今日於我們面前粉碎這軍隊,使其餘的人都知道他惡言褻瀆了你的聖所。求你照他的惡行審判他。」
Even so discomfit you this army before us today, and let all the rest know that he has spoken wickedly against your sanctuary, and judge you him according to his wickedness.
7:43
Et commiserunt exercitus prælium tertiadecima die mensis Adar : et contrita sunt castra Nicanoris, et cecidit ipse primus in prælio.
亞達月十三日,雙方交戰,尼加挪的軍隊被擊潰,他自己在陣中首先陣亡。
And on the thirteenth day of the month Adar the armies joined battle: and Nicanor’s army was discomfited, and he himself was the first to fall in the battle.
7:44
Ut autem vidit exercitus ejus quia cecidisset Nicanor, projecerunt arma sua, et fugerunt :
他的軍隊見尼加挪倒下了,就丟下兵器逃跑。
Now when his army saw that Nicanor was fallen, they cast away their arms, and fled.
7:45
et persecuti sunt eos viam unius diei ab Adazer usquequo veniatur in Gazara, et tubis cecinerunt post eos cum significationibus :
猶大人追趕他們一天的路程,從亞大撒直到基色,在後面吹著號筒發出信號。
And they pursued after them a day’s journey from Adasa until you come to Gazara, and they sounded an alarm after them with the solemn trumpets.
7:46
et exierunt de omnibus castellis Judææ in circuitu, et ventilabant eos cornibus, et convertebantur iterum ad eos, et ceciderunt omnes gladio, et non est relictus ex eis nec unus.
猶大四圍各村的人都出來,從旁夾擊他們,把他們逼回,他們就都倒在刀下,連一個也沒有留下。
And they came forth out of all the villages of Judea round about, and closed them in; and these turned them back on those, and they all fell by the sword, and there was not one of them left.
7:47
Et acceperunt spolia eorum in prædam : et caput Nicanoris amputaverunt, et dexteram ejus, quam extenderat superbe, et attulerunt, et suspenderunt contra Jerusalem.
他們奪取了擄物和戰利品,又砍下尼加挪的頭和他那隻曾經狂傲伸出的右手,帶到耶路撒冷掛在那裡。
And they took the spoils, and the booty, and they struck off Nicanor’s head, and his right hand, which he stretched out so haughtily, and brought them, and hanged them up beside Jerusalem.
7:48
Et lætatus est populus valde, et egerunt diem illam in lætitia magna.
百姓大大歡喜,以那日為大歡樂的日子。
And the people were exceeding glad, and they kept that day as a day of great gladness.
7:49
Et constituit agi omnibus annis diem istam tertiadecima die mensis Adar.
他們定規每年守這日子,就是亞達月十三日。
And they ordained to keep this day year by year, to wit, the thirteenth day of Adar.
7:50
Et siluit terra Juda dies paucos.
於是猶大地得享平靜,有些日子。
And the land of Judah had rest a little while.
