尼希米記 第 7 章

And it came about, when the wall had been built, that I set up the doors, and the gatekeepers and the singers and the Levites were appointed.

And I gave charge to Anania my brother and to Anania the ruler of the bira in Jerusalem, for he was as a true man and feared God more than many.

And God put it into my heart, and I gathered the honored men and the rulers and the people to be enrolled by companies; and I found the book of the company of those who had come up at the first, and I found written in it:

And these are the sons of the province who came up from the captivity of the exile, which Nabouchodonosor king of Babylon had carried away; and they returned to Jerusalem and to Juda, each man to his own city.

the sons of Barkous, the sons of Sisara, the sons of Thema,

the sons of Nisia, the sons of Atipha.

The sons of Salomon’s slaves: the sons of Souti, the sons of Sapharath, the sons of Pherida,

the sons of Ieale, the sons of Dorkon, the sons of Gadel,

the sons of Saphatia, the sons of Etel, the sons of Phacharath, the sons of Sabaim, the sons of Emim.

All the nathinim and the sons of Salomon’s slaves: three hundred ninety-two.

And these came up from Thelmeleth, Aresa, Charoub, Eron, Iemer, and they could not declare their ancestral houses and their seed, whether they were of Israel.

And from a portion of the heads of the ancestral houses they gave for the work to Neemias, into the treasury, a thousand of gold, fifty bowls, and chothonoth of the priests, thirty.

And from the heads of the ancestral houses they gave into the treasury of the work twenty thousand of gold and two thousand two hundred minas of silver.

And the rest of the people gave twenty thousand of gold and two thousand two hundred minas of silver and chothonoth of the priests, sixty-seven.

And the priests and the Levites and the gatekeepers and the singers and some of the people and the nathinim and all Israel settled in their cities. And the seventh month arrived, and the sons of Israel were in their cities.
