4:1
ወአእመራ ፡ አዳም ፡ ለሔዋን ፡ ብእሲቱ ፡ ወፀንሰት ፡ ወወለደት ፡ ቃየንሃ ፡ ወትቤ ፡ አጥረይነ ፡ ብእሴ ፡ በእንተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
The man knew Eve his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Cain, and said, “I have gotten a man with Yahweh’s help.”
有一日，那人和他妻子夏娃同房，夏娃就懷孕，生了該隱 ，便說：「耶和華使我得了一個男子。」
4:2
ወደገመት ፡ ወለደቶ ፡ ለእኁሁ ፡ ለአቤል ፡ ወኮነ ፡ አቤል ፡ ኖላዌ ፡ አባግዕ ፡ ወቃየንሰ ፡ መስተገብረ ፡ ምድር ፡ ኮነ ።
Again she gave birth, to Cain’s brother Abel. Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
又生了該隱的兄弟亞伯。亞伯是牧羊的；該隱是種地的。
4:3
ወእምድኅረዝ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ አምጽአ ፡ ቃየን ፡ እምነ ፡ ፍሬ ፡ ምድር ፡ መሥዋዕተ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
As time passed, Cain brought an offering to Yahweh from the fruit of the ground.
有一日，該隱拿地裏的出產為供物獻給耶和華；
4:4
ወአቤልሂ ፡ ገብረ ፡ ወአምጽአ ፡ እምነ ፡ በኵረ ፡ አባግዒሁ ፡ ወእምነ ፡ ሥቡሐኒሆሙ ፡ ወነጸረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕለ ፡ አቤል ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ መሥዋዕቱ ፡ ወቍርባኒሁኒ ።
Abel also brought some of the firstborn of his flock and of its fat. Yahweh respected Abel and his offering,
亞伯也將他羊群中頭生的和羊的脂油獻上。耶和華看中了亞伯和他的供物，
4:5
ወላዕለ ፡ ቃየንሰ ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ መሥዋዕቱ ፡ ኢነጸረ ፡ ወአኅዘኖ ፡ ለቃየን ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ወወድቀ ፡ በገጹ ።
but he didn’t respect Cain and his offering. Cain was very angry, and the expression on his face fell.
只是看不中該隱和他的供物。該隱就大大地發怒，變了臉色。
4:6
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለቃየን ፡ ለምንት ፡ ተኅዝን ፡ ወለምንት ፡ ወድቀ ፡ ገጽከ ።
Yahweh said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why has the expression of your face fallen?
耶和華對該隱說：「你為甚麼發怒呢？你為甚麼變了臉色呢？
4:7
አኮ ፡ በጽድቅ ፡ ዘአምጻእከ ፡ ወርቱዕሰ ፡ በጽድቅ ፡ ታምጽእ ፡ ለተ ፡ አበስከ ፡ እንከ ፡ አርምም ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ ምግባኢሁ ፡ ወአንተ ፡ ትኬንኖ ።
If you do well, won’t it be lifted up? If you don’t do well, sin crouches at the door. Its desire is for you, but you are to rule over it.”
你若行得好，豈不蒙悅納？你若行得不好，罪就伏在門前。它必戀慕你，你卻要制伏它。」
4:8
ወይቤሎ ፡ ቃየን ፡ ለአቤል ፡ እኁሁ ፡ ነዓ ፡ ንሑር ፡ ናንሶሱ ፡ ሐቅለ ፡ ወኮነ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ሀለው ፡ ገዳመ ፡ ተንሥአ ፡ ቃየን ፡ ላዕለ ፡ አቤል ፡ እኁሁ ፡ ወቀተሎ ።
Cain said to Abel, his brother, “Let’s go into the field.” While they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel, his brother, and killed him.
該隱與他兄弟亞伯說話；二人正在田間。該隱起來打他兄弟亞伯，把他殺了。
4:9
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለቃየን ፡ አይቴ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አቤል ፡ እኁከ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ ኢያአምር ፡ ቦኑ ፡ ዐቃቢሁ ፡ አነ ፡ ለእኁየ ።
Yahweh said to Cain, “Where is Abel, your brother?” He said, “I don’t know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”
耶和華對該隱說：「你兄弟亞伯在哪裏？」他說：「我不知道！我豈是看守我兄弟的嗎？」
4:10
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ምንተ ፡ ገበርከ ፡ [ቃለ ፡] ደሙ ፡ ለእኁከ ፡ በጽሐ ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድር ።
Yahweh said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries to me from the ground.
耶和華說：「你做了甚麼事呢？你兄弟的血有聲音從地裏向我哀告。
4:11
ወይእዜኒ ፡ ርግምተ ፡ ትኩን ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ አብቀወት ፡ ከመ ፡ ትስተይ ፡ ደሞ ፡ ለእኁከ ፡ እምእዴከ ።
Now you are cursed because of the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.
地開了口，從你手裏接受你兄弟的血。現在你必從這地受咒詛。
4:12
እስመ ፡ ትትጌበራ ፡ አንተ ፡ ወኢትዌስክ ፡ ከመ ፡ ተሀብከ ፡ ኀይላ ፤ ርዑደ ፡ ወድንጉፀ ፡ ኩን ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ምድር ።
From now on, when you till the ground, it won’t yield its strength to you. You will be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.”
你種地，地不再給你效力；你必流離飄蕩在地上。」
4:13
ወይቤሎ ፡ ቃየን ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ተዐቢኑ ፡ ኀጢአትየ ፡ ዘእምተኀድገት ፡ ሊተ ።
Cain said to Yahweh, “My punishment is greater than I can bear.
該隱對耶和華說：「我的刑罰太重，過於我所能當的。
4:14
ወእመሰ ፡ ታወጽአኒ ፡ እምድር ፡ ወእምነ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ገጽከ ፡ እትኀባእኒ ፡ ወእከውን ፡ ርዑደ ፡ ወድንጉፀ ፡ በዲበ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘረከበኒ ፡ ይቀትለኒ ።
Behold, you have driven me out today from the surface of the ground. I will be hidden from your face, and I will be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth. Whoever finds me will kill me.”
你如今趕逐我離開這地，以致不見你面；我必流離飄蕩在地上，凡遇見我的必殺我。」
4:15
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ (ለቃየን ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ቆመ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ቀታሊ ፡ ወይቤ ፡ ቃየን ፡ አንሰ ፡ እትፈደይ ፡ በዘገበርኩ ፡ ወእትቀተል ፡ ከመ ፡ ቀተልኩ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚእ ፡) አኮ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ (ወባሕቱ ፡) ኵሉ ፡ (ዘይቀትል ፡ እምድኅሬከ ፡ ይትቀተል ፡ በከመ ፡ ቀተለ ፡ ወአንተሰ ፡ ትትፈደይ ፡ ህየንተ ፡ ፩ስብዐ ፡) [ዘቀተሎ ፡ ለቃየን ፡ ሰባዕተ ፡ በቀለ ፡ ያበቅል ፡] ወገብረ ፡ እግዚእ ፡ ለቃየን ፡ ተኣምረ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይቅትሎ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘረከቦ ።
Yahweh said to him, “Therefore whoever slays Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold.” Yahweh appointed a sign for Cain, so that anyone finding him would not strike him.
耶和華對他說：「凡殺該隱的，必遭報七倍。」耶和華就給該隱立一個記號，免得人遇見他就殺他。
4:16
ወወጽአ ፡ ቃየን ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወኀደረ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ስማ ፡ ኑዱ ፡ (ወተረፈ ፡ አዳም ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ኤድም ፡ ወቃየንሰ ፡ ሖረ ፡ ወኀደረ ፡) ታሕተ ፡ ምሥራቅ ፡ ኤድም ።
Cain left Yahweh’s presence, and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
於是該隱離開耶和華的面，去住在伊甸東邊挪得之地。
4:17
ወአእመራ ፡ ቃየን ፡ ለብእሲቱ ፡ ወፀንሰት ፡ ወወለደት ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ሄኖኅሃ ፡ ወነደቀ ፡ ቃየን ፡ ሀገረ ፡ ወሰመያ ፡ በስመ ፡ ወልዱ ፡ ሄኖኅ ።
Cain knew his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Enoch. He built a city, and named the city after the name of his son, Enoch.
該隱與妻子同房，他妻子就懷孕，生了以諾。該隱建造了一座城，就按着他兒子的名將那城叫做以諾。
4:18
ወወለደ ፡ ሄኖኅ ፡ [ጋይዳድ ]ሃ ፡ ወ [ጋይዳድ ] ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለመላልኤል ፡ ወመላልኤል ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለማቱሰላ ፡ ወማቱሰላ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለለሜክ ።
Irad was born to Enoch. Irad became the father of Mehujael. Mehujael became the father of Methushael. Methushael became the father of Lamech.
以諾生以拿；以拿生米戶雅利；米戶雅利生瑪土撒利；瑪土撒利生拉麥。
4:19
ወአውሰበ ፡ ለሜክ ፡ ክልኤተ ፡ አንስተ ፡ ስማ ፡ ለአሐቲ ፡ ሳላ ፡ ወስመ ፡ ካልእታ ፡ አዳ ።
Lamech took two wives: the name of the first one was Adah, and the name of the second one was Zillah.
拉麥娶了兩個妻：一個名叫亞大，一個名叫洗拉。
4:20
ወወለደት ፡ ዮቤልሃ ፡ ወውእቱ ፡ ኮነ ፡ አቡሆሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ የኀድሩ ፡ በ [አዕጻዳተ ፡ ኖሎተ ፡] እንስሳ ።
Adah gave birth to Jabal, who was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.
亞大生雅八；雅八就是住帳棚、牧養牲畜之人的祖師。
4:21
ወስመ ፡ እኁሁ ፡ [ኢዮቤል ፡] ወውእቱ ፡ ኮነ ፡ አቡሆሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይዘብጡ ፡ ኦርጋኖነ ፡ ወማኅሌተ ።
His brother’s name was Jubal, who was the father of all who handle the harp and pipe.
雅八的兄弟名叫猶八；他是一切彈琴吹簫之人的祖師。
4:22
ወወለደት ፡ ሳላ ፡ [ቱበ ]ልቄን ፡ ወኮነ ፡ ይገብር ፡ ግብረ ፡ ብርት ፡ ወኀፂን ፡ (ወአፍቀረ ፡ [ቱበ ]ልቄን ፡ ጸጋ ፡) [ወእኅቱ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ኖሄም ፡ ስማ ] ።
Zillah also gave birth to Tubal Cain, the forger of every cutting instrument of bronze and iron. Tubal Cain’s sister was Naamah.
洗拉又生了土八‧該隱；他是打造各樣銅鐵利器的 。土八‧該隱的妹子是拿瑪。
4:23
ወይቤሎን ፡ ለሜክ ፡ ለአንስትያሁ ፡ አዳ ፡ ወሳላ ፡ ስምዓ ፡ ኦአንስትየ ፡ ለሜክ ፡ ወአፅምዓ ፡ ዘእቤለክን ፡ እስመ ፡ ብእሴ ፡ ቀተልኩ ፡ (በርሥዓንየ ፡) [በቍስልየ ፡] ወወሬዛ ፡ (በጠፊሆትየ ፡) [በጸልዕየ ] ።
Lamech said to his wives, “Adah and Zillah, hear my voice. You wives of Lamech, listen to my speech, for I have slain a man for wounding me, a young man for bruising me.
拉麥對他兩個妻子說： 亞大、洗拉，聽我的聲音； 拉麥的妻子，細聽我的話語： 壯年人傷我，我把他殺了； 少年人損我，我把他害了 。
4:24
እስመ ፡ ቃየን ፡ ተፈድየ ፡ ህየንተ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ፯በቀለ ፡ ወለሜክሰ ፡ ይትፈደይ ፡ ፸ወ፯ ።
If Cain will be avenged seven times, truly Lamech seventy-seven times.”
若殺該隱，遭報七倍， 殺拉麥，必遭報七十七倍。
4:25
ወአእመራ ፡ አዳም ፡ ለሔዋን ፡ ብእሲቱ ፡ ወፀንሰት ፡ ወወለደት ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ወሰመዮ ፡ ስሞ ፡ ሴት ፡ ወይቤ ፡ ናሁ ፡ እምይእዜሰ ፡ አትረፈ ፡ ሊተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘርአ ፡ ካልአ ፡ ህየንተ ፡ አቤል ፡ ዘቀተሎ ፡ ቃየን ።
Adam knew his wife again. She gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, saying, “for God has given me another child instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.”
亞當又與妻子同房，她就生了一個兒子，起名叫塞特，意思說：「上帝另給我立了一個兒子代替亞伯，因為該隱殺了他。」
4:26
ወወለደ ፡ ሴት ፡ ዓዲ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ወሰመዮ ፡ ሄኖስ ፡ አሜሃ ፡ ወጠነ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይጸውዕ ፡ ስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
A son was also born to Seth, and he named him Enosh. At that time men began to call on Yahweh’s name.
塞特也生了一個兒子，起名叫以挪士。那時候，人才求告耶和華的名。
