13:1

ወጸለየ፡ ጦቢት፡ ጸሎተ፡ ትፍሥሕት፡ ወይቤ፡ ይትባረክ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘውእቱ፡ ሕያው፡ ዘለዓለም፡ ወለዓለመ፡ ዓለም፡ መንግሥቱ።

And Tobit wrote a prayer for rejoicing, and said, “Blessed is God who lives forever! Blessed is his kingdom!

託彼特便說：

13:2

ወውእቱ፡ ይቀሥፍ፡ ወይሣሃል፡ ወውእቱ፡ ያወርድ፡ ውስተ፡ ሲኦል፡ ወየዐርግ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘያመስጥ፡ እምእዴሁ።

For he scourges, and shows mercy. He leads down to the grave, and brings up again. There is no one that will escape his hand.

「永生的天主是當受讚美的，祂的國度直到永遠；因為祂鞭打人，也施憐憫；祂使人下到陰府極深之處，又從大滅亡中把人領上來。沒有甚麼能逃脫祂的手。

13:3

ወግነዩ፡ ሎቱ፡ ኵልክሙ፡ ደቂቀ፡ እስራኤል፡ በቅድመ፡ ኵሉ፡ አሕዛብ፡ እለ፡ ዘረወነ፡ ውስቴቶሙ።

Give thanks to him before the Gentiles, all you children of Israel! For he has scattered us among them.

以色列子民啊，你們要在萬民面前向祂稱謝，因為祂把你們分散在他們中間。

13:4

በህየ፡ አርአየ፡ ምሕረቶ፡ ላዕሌነ፡ ወአልዕልዎ፡ በቅድመ፡ ኵሉ፡ ደቂቀ፡ ዕጓለ፡ እመሕያው፡ እስመ፡ ውእቱ፡ እግዚእነ፡ ወውእቱ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አቡነ፡ በኵሉ፡ ዓለም።

Declare his greatness, there. Extol him before all the living; because he is our Lord, and God is our Father forever.

祂在那裏向你們顯示了祂的偉大。你們要在一切活人面前尊崇祂，因為祂是我們的主，是我們的天主，是我們的父親，直到萬世萬代。

13:5

ወይቀሥፈነ፡ በኵሉ፡ ኃጣውኢነ፡ ወካዕበ፡ ይሣሃለነ፡ ወያስተጋብአነ፡ እምኵሉ፡ አሕዛብ፡ እለ፡ ውስቴቶሙ፡ ዘረወነ።

He will scourge us for our iniquities, and will again show mercy, and will gather us out of all the nations among whom you are all scattered.

祂必因你們的罪過鞭打你們，卻又要憐憫你們眾人，從你們所被分散到的萬民中把你們聚集回來。

13:6

ወለእመኒ፡ ተመየጥነ፡ ኀቤሁ፡ በኵሉ፡ ልብነ፡ ወበኵሉ፡ ነፍስነ፡ ከመ፡ ንግበር፡ ጽድቀ፡ በቅድሜሁ፡ ወውእተ፡ ጊዜ፡ ይትመየጥ፡ ኀቤነ፡ ወኢይሤውር፡ ገጾ፡ እምኔነ፡ ወርእዩ፡ ዘገብረ፡ በላዕሌነ፡ ወእመኑ፡ ቦቱ፡ በኵሉ፡ ልብክሙ፡ ወበኵሉ፡ ነፍስክሙ፡ ወባርክዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወአልዕልዎ፡ ለንጉሠ፡ ዓለም፡ በምድር፡ ዘትፄወውክሙ፡ ወአንሰ፡ በምድር፡ ዘተፄወውኩ፡ አአምን፡ ቦቱ፡ ወእነግር፡ ኃይሎ፡ ወዕበዮ፡ ለሕዝብ፡ ኃጥአን፡ ተመየጡ፡ ኃጥአን፡ ወግበርዋ፡ ለጽድቅ፡ ቅድሜሁ፡ ለእግዚእየ፡ መኑ፡ የአምሮ፡ እመ፡ ይፈቅድ፡ ዘይገብር፡ ምሕረቶ፡ በላዕሌክሙ፡ አምላኪየ።

If you turn to him with your whole heart and with your whole soul, to do truth before him, then will he turn to you, and won’t hide his face from you. See what he will do with you. Give him thanks with your whole mouth. Bless the Lord of righteousness. Exalt the everlasting King. I give him thanks in the land of my captivity, and show his strength and majesty to a nation of sinners. Turn, you sinners, and do righteousness before him. Who can tell if he will accept you and have mercy on you?

幾時你們全心全意歸向祂，在祂面前行真誠的事，那時祂必轉向你們，不再向你們掩面。你們要看祂向你們所行的，要滿口向祂稱謝，讚美正義的主，尊崇那萬世之君。我在被擄之地向祂稱謝，向罪人之國顯示祂的能力和偉大。罪人哪，你們要回頭，在祂面前行正義的事。誰知道祂是否願意悅納你們，向你們施行仁慈呢？

13:7

ወታሌዕሎ፡ ነፍስየ፡ ለንጉሠ፡ ሰማይ፡ እሴብሕ፡ ዕበዮ፡ ለአምላከ፡ ጽድቅ፡ በኵሉ።

I exalt my God. My soul exalts the King of heaven, and rejoices in his greatness.

如今你們要看祂向你們所行的事，要滿口向祂稱謝，讚美正義的主，尊崇那萬世之君。

13:8

ወእመኒ፡ ቦቱ፡ በጽድቅ፡ ሀገረ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ ቅድስት፡ ኢይቅሥፍኪኑ፡ በምግባረ፡ ጽድቅኪ፡ ወካዕበ፡ ይምሕኮሙ፡ ለደቂቀ፡ ጻድቃን።

Let all men speak, and let them give him thanks in Jerusalem.

我在被擄之地向祂稱謝，向罪人之國顯示祂的能力和偉大。罪人哪，你們要回頭，在祂面前行正義的事。誰知道祂是否願意悅納你們，向你們施行仁慈呢？

13:9

ግነዩ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ በሠናይ፡ ወባርኪዮ፡ ለንጉሠ፡ ዓለም፡ ከመ፡ ትትሐነፅ፡ ደብተራሁ፡ ውስቴትኪ፡ በትፍሥሕት፡ ወይትፌሥሑ፡ ብኪ፡ ህየ፡ እለ፡ ሀለዉ፡ ፂውዋን፡ ወይትፋቀሩ፡ በእንቲአኪ፡ ጽሉዓን፡ በኵሉ፡ ትውልድ፡ ዘለዓለም።

O Jerusalem, the holy city, he will scourge you for the works of your sons, and will again have mercy on the sons of the righteous.

我要尊崇我的天主，我的靈魂要尊崇上天的君王，要因祂的偉大而歡躍。
