2:1
ወሶበአተውኩቤትየአግብኡሊተሐናሃብእሲትየበዕለተበዓለጰንጠቈስጤቅድስትሳብዕሰንበትገብሩላዕሌየሠናየወረፈቁእብላዕ
Now when I had come home again, and my wife Anna was restored to me, and my son Tobias, in the feast of Pentecost, which is the holy feast of the seven weeks, there was a good dinner prepared me, and I sat down to eat.
後來我回到家中,妻子安納與兒子託比亞都歸還給了我。在五旬節,就是那七七的聖節,有人為我預備了豐盛的筵席,我便坐下用飯。
2:2
ወርእኪከመመስየበሕቁወእቤሎለወልድየሑርአምጽእዘረከብከእምአኃዊነቢጸነዳያንእስመተዘከርክዎለእግዚአብሔርእጸንሐከእስከትገብእ
I saw abundance of meat, and I said to my son, “Go and bring whatever poor man you find of our kindred, who is mindful of the Lord. Behold, I wait for you.”
我看見席上佳餚甚多,就對我的兒子說:「你去,把你所能找到的、我們弟兄中記念主的窮人帶來。看哪,我在這裡等你。」
2:3
ወሶበገብአወይቤለኒአባረከብኩአሐደእምሕዝብወግዱፍበድኑውስተምሥያጥ
Then he came, and said, “Father, one of our race is strangled, and has been cast out in the marketplace.”
他回來說:「父親,我們本族中有一個人被人勒死,拋棄在市場上。」
2:4
ወአነሂተንሣእኩዘእንበለእጥዓምእክለወአባዕክዎውስተአሐዱቤትእስከየዓርብፀሐይ
Before I had tasted anything, I sprang up, and took him up into a chamber until the sun had set.
我還沒有嚐到一點食物,就跳起來,把那屍體抬到一間屋子裡,等候日落。
2:5
ወገባዕኩውስተቤትየወተሐፀብኩወበላዕኩእክልየበኃዘን
Then I returned, washed myself, ate my bread in heaviness,
然後我回來,洗了身,含著愁苦喫我的飯,
2:6
ወተዘከርኩዘይቤአሞጽይትመየጥበዓላቲክሙውስተብካይ
and remembered the prophecy of Amos, as he said, “Your feasts will be turned into mourning, and all your mirth into lamentation.
並想起亞毛斯先知的預言,他曾說:『你們的節期必變為悲哀,你們一切的歡樂必變為哀號。』我就哭了。
2:7
ወእምዝበከይኩወሶበዓርበፀሐይሖርኩወከረይኩወቀበርክዎ
So I wept: and when the sun had set, I went and dug a grave, and buried him.
等到日落,我便去挖了一個墳坑,將他埋葬了。
2:8
ወሰሐቁላዕሌየሰብአብሔርወይቤሉኢይፈርህኑዝንቱኢይቅትልዎበእንተዝንቱግብርእስመይቀብሮሙለእለቀተለንጉሥ
My neighbors mocked me, and said, “He is no longer afraid to be put to death for this matter; and yet he fled away. Behold, he buries the dead again.”
我的鄰舍譏笑我說:「他竟不再怕為這事被處死了。他從前為此逃走,看哪,如今又埋葬死人。」
2:9
ወበይእቲሌሊትቤትኩስኩብየውስተዓረፍተዓፀድወክሡትገጽየ
The same night I returned from burying him, and slept by the wall of my courtyard, being polluted; and my face was uncovered.
就在那一夜,我埋葬死人回來,因身體沾染了污穢,便睡在自己院子的牆邊,臉也沒有遮蓋。
2:10
ወኢያእመርኩከመቦቱአዕዋፍውስተዓረፍትወእንዘክሡትገጽየአኵስሓእልክቱአዕዋፍውዑየውስተአዕይንትየወሖርኩኀበዓቀብተሥራይወአልቦዘበቊዓኒወአካኪሮስይሴስየኒእስከአመሖርኩኤልማድያባሕቲትየ
I didn’t know that there were sparrows in the wall. My eyes were open and the sparrows dropped warm dung into my eyes, and white films came over my eyes. I went to the physicians, and they didn’t help me; but Achiacharus nourished me, until I went into Elymais.
我不知道牆上有麻雀,正當我睜著眼睛的時候,麻雀的熱糞落進我的眼裡,使我眼上生了白膜。我去看醫生,他們卻不能醫好我;後來阿希加爾養活我,直到他往厄藍去為止。
2:11
ወሐናሰትፀመድቤተአንስት
My wife Anna wove cloth in the women’s chambers,
我的妻子安納在女工坊裡織布,
2:12
ወለአከትኀበአጋዕዝቲሃወወሀባሃእማንቱሂመሐስዓወአምጽአትኀቤየ
and sent the work back to the owners. They on their part paid her wages, and also geve her a kid.
並把織好的活計送回給主人。主人付給她工錢,還另外送了她一隻山羊羔。
2:13
ወሶበመጽአትኀቤየአኀዘትትጽራኅወእቤላእምአይቴዛቲመሐስዕወለእመስረቂዮአግብኢዮለባዕሉእስመኢኮነጽድቀበሊዕዘስርቅ
But when it came to my house, it began to cry, and I said to her, Where did this kid come from? Is it stolen? Give it back to the owners; for it is not lawful to eat anything that is stolen.
那羊羔來到我家時,便咩咩地叫起來。我就問她說:「這羊羔是從哪裡來的?該不是偷來的吧?快還給主人,因為凡偷來之物,喫了是不合律法的。」
2:14
ወትቤለኒጸግውኒያህየንተአስብየወኢአመንክዋወእቤላአግብኢለባዕሉወብዙኃተገአዝኩምስሌሃወአውሥአትወትቤለኒአይቴውእቱምጽዋትከወጽድቅከናሁኵሉተአውቀዘላዕሌከ
But she said, “It has been given to me for a gift more than the wages.” I didn’t believe her, and I asked her to return it to the owners; and I was ashamed of her. But she answered and said to me, “Where are your alms and your righteous deeds? Behold, you and all your works are known.”
她卻說:「這是人在工錢以外白送給我的禮物。」我不信她的話,仍叫她還給主人,並為這事向她發窘。她卻回答我說:「你的施捨在哪裡呢?你的義行在哪裡呢?看哪,你和你一切的作為都顯明出來了。」
