8:1
ወሶበ ፡ አሕለቁ ፡ ተደሮ ፡ አብእዎ ፡ ኀቤሃ ፡ ለጦብያ ።
When they had finished their supper, they brought Tobias in to her.
他們喫喝完畢，想要就寢時，便領那少年人進去，把他帶到那房間裏。
8:2
ወሶበ ፡ ቦአ ፡ ተዘከረ ፡ ቃሎ ፡ ወነሥአ ፡ ሕራረ ፡ ዕጣን ፡ ወወደየ ፡ እምነ ፡ ልቡ ፡ ወከብዱ ፡ ለዝኩ ፡ ዓሣ ፡ ወአጤሰ ።
But as he went, he remembered the words of Raphael, and took the ashes of the incense, and put the heart and the liver of the fish on them, and made smoke with them.
多俾亞想起辣斐耳的話，就從所帶的袋中取出魚的肝和心，放在香爐的灰上，使它冒煙。
8:3
ወሶበ ፡ ፄነዎ ፡ ፄናሁ ፡ ለዝኩ ፡ ጋኔን ፡ እስከ ፡ ላዕላይ ፡ ደወለ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወዓሠሮ ፡ ዝኩ ፡ መልአክ ፡ ለውእቱ ፡ ጋኔን ።
When the demon smelled that smell, it fled into the uppermost parts of Egypt, and the angel bound him.
那魚的氣味攔阻了那惡魔，牠便逃往埃及境內去了。辣斐耳走去，立刻在那裏把牠捆綁起來。
8:4
ወሶበ ፡ ተዓደዉ ፡ ክልኤሆሙ ፡ ተንሥአ ፡ ጦብያ ፡ እምነ ፡ ዓራቱ ፡ ወይቤላ ፡ ተንሥኢ ፡ እኅትየ ፡ ንጸሊ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሣሃለነ ።
But after they were both shut in together, Tobias rose up from the bed, and said, “Sister, arise, and let us pray that the Lord may have mercy on us.”
他們出去，關上房門。多俾亞從牀上起來，對她說：「姊妹，起來吧，我們祈禱，向我們的主懇求，使祂憐憫我們，賜我們救援。」
8:5
ወአኃዘ ፡ ጦብያ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይብል ፡ ቡሩክ ፡ አንተ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላከ ፡ አበዊነ ፡ ወይትባረክ ፡ ስምከ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ ወይሴባሕ ፡ ለዓለመ ፡ ዓለም ፡ ይባርኩከ ፡ ሰማያት ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘፈጠርከ ፡ አንተ ፡ ገበርኮ ፡ ለአዳም ።
And Tobias began to say, “Blessed are you, O God of our fathers, and blessed is your holy and glorious name forever. Let the heavens bless you, and all your creatures.
他便起來，開始祈禱懇求，求主使他們得救。他開始說：「我們祖先的天主，你是當受讚美的；你的名世世代代直到萬代都當受讚美。願諸天和你一切的受造物永永遠遠讚美你。
8:6
ወወሀብኮ ፡ ሔዋንሃ ፡ ትኩኖ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ታዕርፎ ፡ ወእምኔሆሙ ፡ ተወልደ ፡ ዘርአ ፡ ዕጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ አንተ ፡ ትቤ ፡ ኢኮነ ፡ ሠናየ ፡ የሃሉ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ባሕቲቱ ፡ አላ ፡ ንግበር ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ቢጸ ፡ ዘትረድኦ ።
You made Adam, and gave him Eve his wife for a helper and support. From them came the seed of men. You said, it is not good that the man should be alone. Let us make him a helper like him.
你造了亞當，又給他造了一個幫助他的扶持者，就是他的妻子厄娃；從他們二人生出了人類的後裔。你曾說：『人單獨不好，我要給他造一個與他相稱的幫手。』
8:7
ወይእዜኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እንበይነ ፡ ዝሙት ፡ ዘእነሥኣ ፡ ለዛቲ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ እኅትየ ፡ አላ ፡ በጽድቅ ፡ ፈኑ ፡ ሣህለከ ፡ ላዕሌየ ፡ ወላቲኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንትፈሣሕ ።
And now, O Lord, I take not this my sister for lust, but in truth. Command that I may find mercy and grow old with her.”
如今，我娶我這位姊妹，並非出於情慾，而是出於誠實。求你垂憐我和她，使我們一同白頭偕老。」
8:8
ወትቤ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ አሜን ።
She said with him, “Amen.” And they both slept that night.
他們倆一同說：「阿們，阿們。」
8:9
ወቤቱ ፡ ክልኤሆሙ ፡ ኅቡረ ፡ በይእቲ ፡ ሌሊት ፡ ወእምዝ ፡ ተንሥአ ፡ ራጉኤል ፡ ወሖረ ፡ ወከረየ ፡ መቃብረ ።
Raguel arose, and went and dug a grave,
那一夜他們便安睡了。
8:10
እንዘ ፡ ይብል ፡ ዮጊ ፡ ይመውት ፡ ውእቱኒ ።
saying, “Lest he also should die.”
辣古耳起來，叫了他的僕人同去挖掘墳墓。因為他說：「恐怕他也死了，叫我們成了人的笑柄和恥辱。」
8:11
ወገብአ ፡ ራጉኤል ፡ ቤቶ ፡ ወይቤላ ፡ ለእድና ፡ ብእሲቱ ።
And Raguel came into his house,
他們挖好墳墓後，辣古耳回到家裏，叫了他的妻子來，
8:12
ፈንዊ ፡ አሐተ ፡ ወለተ ፡ ትርአዮ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወእመ ፡ አኮ ፡ ንቅብሮ ፡ እንዘ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ዘየአምሮ ፡ መኑሂ ።
and said to Edna his wife, “Send one of the maidservants, and let them see if he is alive. If not, we will bury him, and no man will know it.”
對她說：「打發一個婢女去，叫她進去看他是死是活，好叫我們把他埋葬，免得有人知道。」
8:13
ወሖረት ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ወለት ፡ ወአርኃወት ፡ ኆኅተ ፡ ወረከበቶሙ ፡ ይስክቡ ፡ ክልኤሆሙ ።
So the maidservant opened the door, and went in, and found them both sleeping,
他們便打發了那婢女，點上燈，開了房門。她進去，發現他們倆都在安睡。
8:14
ወገብአት ፡ ወአይድዐቶሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሕያዋን ፡ እሙንቱ ።
and came out, and told them that he was alive.
那婢女出來，告訴他們他還活著，並無甚麼禍患。
8:15
ወባረኮ ፡ ራጉኤል ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይቤ ፡ ቡሩክ ፡ አንተ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ በረከት ፡ ንጽሕት ፡ ወቅድስት ፡ ወይባርኩከ ፡ ቅዱሳኒከ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ግብርከ ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ መላእክቲከ ፡ ወኅሩያኒከ ፡ ይባርኩከ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ዓለም ።
Then Raguel blessed God, saying, “Blessed are you, O God, with all pure and holy blessing! Let your saints bless you, and all your creatures! Let all your angels and your elect bless you forever!
他們便讚美天上的天主，說：「天主，你在一切純潔的讚美中是當受讚美的！願人永永遠遠讚美你！
8:16
ቡሩክ ፡ አንተ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እስመ ፡ አስተፍሣሕከኒ ፡ ወበከመ ፡ ኢተኃዘብኩ ፡ ኮነኒ ፡ አላ ፡ በከመ ፡ ብዝኃ ፡ ምሕረትከ ፡ ገበርከ ፡ ላዕሌየ ።
Blessed are you, because you have made me glad; and it has not happened me as I suspected; but you have dealt with us according to your great mercy.
你是當受讚美的，因為你使我歡喜，所發生的並不如我所擔憂的，反而照你豐盛的仁慈待了我們。
8:17
ቡሩክ ፡ አንተ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እስመ ፡ ተሣሃልኮሙ ፡ ለክልኤቱ ፡ ባሕታውያን ፡ ወገበርከ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ሠናይቲከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይፈጽሙ ፡ ሕይወቶሙ ፡ በደኅና ፡ ወበፍሥሓ ፡ በምሕረትከ ።
Blessed are you, because you have had mercy on two that were the only begotten children of their parents. Show them mercy, O Lord. Fulfill their life in health with gladness and mercy.
你是當受讚美的，因為你憐憫了這兩個獨生子女。主啊，求你向他們施恩慈與救援，使他們的一生在喜樂與仁慈中圓滿度過。」
8:18
ወእምዝ ፡ አዘዞሙ ፡ ለአግብርቲሁ ፡ ይድፍኑ ፡ ዝክተ ፡ መቃብረ ።
He commanded his servants to fill the grave.
於是他吩咐僕人在天亮以前把墳墓填平。
8:19
ወገብረ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ በዓለ ፡ ዐሡረ ፡ ወረቡዐ ፡ መዋዕለ ።
He kept the wedding feast for them fourteen days.
他又吩咐妻子做許多餅，自己到牛羣裏牽來兩頭牛和四隻公綿羊，吩咐宰殺預備；他們便開始預備筵席。
8:20
ወእምዝ ፡ አምሐሎ ፡ ራጉኤል ፡ ለጦብያ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይፃእ ፡ ወኢይሑር ፡ እስከ ፡ ይትፌጸም ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ዐሡር ፡ ወረቡዕ ፡ ዘመርዓ ።
Before the days of the wedding feast were finished, Raguel sware to him, that he should not depart till the fourteen days of the wedding feast were fulfilled;
辣古耳叫了多俾亞來，對他說：「十四天之內，你不可從這裏離開，要留在這裏與我同喫同喝，使我那憂傷的女兒心裏歡樂。
8:21
ወእምድኅረ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ይሑር ፡ ወይንሣዕ ፡ መንፈቀ ፡ ንዋዩ ፡ ወይሑር ፡ በዳኅን ፡ ኀበ ፡ አቡሁ ፡ ወዘተርፈሰ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ሞቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወብእሲቱ ፡ ይንሥኡ ።
and that then he should take half of his goods, and go in safety to his father; and the rest, said he, when my wife and I die.
我所有的一切，你可從這裏取一半，平安回到你父親那裏去；另一半，等我和我妻子死後，就都歸你們了。孩子，放心吧。我是你的父親，厄得納是你的母親；從今直到永遠，我們都是你和你姊妹的親人。孩子，放心吧。」
