12:1
ወእምዝ ፡ ጸውዖ ፡ ለጦብያ ፡ ጦቢት ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ ርኢ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ወልድየ ፡ አስቦ ፡ ለዝኩ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘሖረ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ወዓዲ ፡ ርቱዕ ፡ ትወስክ ፡ ሎቱ ።
And Tobit called his son Tobias, and said to him, “See, my child, that the man which went with you have his wages, and you must give him more.”
婚事辦完後，託彼特叫了他的兒子多俾亞來，對他說：「孩子，你要留意給那與你同行的人工資，並要在工資以外多加給他。」
12:2
ወይቤሎ ፡ ጦቢያ ፡ ለአቡሁ ፡ አባ ፡ ዘይነክየኒ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ወሀብክዎ ፡ መንፈቀ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ነዋይ ፡ ዘአምጻእኩ ።
And he said to him, “Father, it is no harm to me to give him the half of those things which I have brought;
多俾亞對他說：「父親，我該給他多少工資呢？就是把他和我一同帶回來的財物分一半給他，於我也無損。
12:3
እስመ ፡ አዕተወኒ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ በዳኅና ፡ ወለብእሲትየኒ ፡ ፈወሳ ፡ ወብሩረኒ ፡ አምጽአ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ለከሂ ፡ ፈወሰከ ።
for he has led me for you in safety, and he cured my wife, and brought my money, and likewise cured you.”
他平安地帶我回來，治好了我的妻子，又帶回了我的銀錢，也治好了你。我還該再給他多少工資呢？」
12:4
ወይቤሎ ፡ አቡሁ ፡ ጽድቀ ፡ ነበብከ ።
The old man said, “It is due to him.”
託彼特對他說：「孩子，把他帶來的一切分一半給他，是理所當然的。」
12:5
ወጸውዖ ፡ ለውእቱ ፡ መልአክ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ ንሣእ ፡ መንፈቀ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ንዋይ ፡ ዘአምጻእክሙ ፡ ምስሌክሙ ፡ ወሑር ፡ በዳኅን ።
And he called the angel, and said to him, “Take half of all that you all have brought.”
多俾亞便叫了他來，對他說：「把你帶來的一切取一半，作你的工資吧，你平安去吧。」
12:6
ወጸውዖሙ ፡ ሩፋኤል ፡ ውእተ ፡ ጊዜ ፡ ለክልኤሆሙ ፡ ወአግኃሦሙ ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ባርክዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወግነዩ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ወወሀቡ ፡ ዕበየ ፡ ለስሙ ፡ ወእመኑ ፡ ቦቱ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘሕያው ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ ላዕሌክሙ ፡ ሠናያተ ፡ ወአዕኵትዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወሰብሑ ፡ ለስሙ ፡ ወንግሩ ፡ ግብሮ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በክብር ፡ አርእዩ ፡ ወኢትትሐከዩ ፡ ገንየ ፡ ሎቱ ።
Then he called them both privily, and said to them, “Bless God, and give him thanks, and magnify him, and give him thanks in the sight of all that live, for the things which he has done with you. It is good to bless God and exalt his name, showing forth with honor the works of God. Don’t be slack to give him thanks.
那時，辣斐耳把他們二人暗暗叫到一旁，對他們說：「你們要讚美天主，要在一切活人面前向祂稱謝，述說祂向你們所行的善事。讚美並歌頌祂的名是美好的；你們要鄭重地向眾人宣揚天主的作為，不可懶於向祂稱謝。
12:7
እስመ ፡ ምሥጢረ ፡ መንግሥት ፡ ሠናይ ፡ ለኀቢእ ፡ ወለግብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔርሰ ፡ ይከሥትዎ ፡ በግብር ፡ ግበርዋ ፡ ለሠናይት ፡ ወኢትረክበክሙ ፡ እኪት ።
It is good to keep close the secret of a king, but to reveal gloriously the works of God. Do good, and evil won’t find you.
隱藏君王的祕密固然是好，但宣揚天主的作為、鄭重地稱謝祂卻是當行的。你們要行善，兇禍就不臨到你們。
12:8
ሠናይ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ጸሎት ፡ ምስለ ፡ ሰላም ፡ ወምጽዋት ፡ ወጽድቅ ፡ ይኄይስ ፡ ኅዳጥ ፡ ዘበጽድቅ ፡ እምብዙኅ ፡ ብዕለ ፡ ዓመፃ ፡ ወይኄይስ ፡ ውኂበ ፡ ምጽዋት ፡ እምዘጊቦቱ ፡ ለወርቅ ።
Good is prayer with fasting, alms, and righteousness. A little with righteousness is better than much with unrighteousness. It is better to give alms than to lay up gold.
祈禱與誠實同行是好的，施捨與正義並行也是好的；正義所得的少，勝過不義所得的多。行施捨勝過積蓄金子。
12:9
እስመ ፡ ምጽዋት ፡ ታድኅን ፡ እሞት ፡ ወታነጽሕ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ኃጢአት ፡ ወእለሰ ፡ ይገብሩ ፡ ጽድቀ ፡ ወምጽዋተ ፡ ይመልዑ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ሕይወተ ።
Alms delivers from death, and it purges away all sin. Those who give alms and do righteousness will be filled with life;
因為施捨救人脫離死亡，又能洗淨一切罪過。行施捨的人必得享豐盛的生命；
12:10
ወእለሂ ፡ ይኤብሱ ፡ ይጸልእዋ ፡ ለነፍሶሙ ።
but those who sin are enemies to their own life.
但作惡犯罪的人卻是自己性命的仇敵。
12:11
ወናሁ ፡ ኢየኀብእ ፡ እምኔክሙ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ነገረ ፡ ወእቤለክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ምሥጢረ ፡ መንግሥት ፡ ሠናይ ፡ ለኃቢዕ ፡ ወግብሮሰ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ይከሥትዎ ፡ በክብር ።
Surely I will keep nothing closed from you. I have said, ‘It is good to keep close the secret of a king, but to reveal gloriously the works of God.’
我要把一切真情指示你們，毫不隱瞞。我已對你們說過：『隱藏君王的祕密固然是好，但宣揚天主的作為卻是榮耀的。』
12:12
ወይእዜኒ ፡ አመ ፡ ጸለይክሙ ፡ አንተ ፡ ወሣራ ፡ መርዓትከ ፡ አነ ፡ አባዕኩ ፡ ተዝካረ ፡ ስእለትክሙ ፡ ቅድሜሁ ፡ ለቅዱሰ ፡ ቅዱሳን ፡ ወአንተኒ ፡ አመ ፡ ትቀብር ፡ አብድንተ ፡ አሜሃ ፡ ሀሎኩ ፡ ምስሌከ ።
And now, when you prayed, and Sarah your daughter-in-law, I brought the memorial of your prayer before the Holy One. When you buried the dead, I was with you likewise.
當你和撒辣祈禱的時候，我把你們祈禱的記念帶到主的榮耀面前；當你埋葬死人的時候，我也照樣在你身旁。
12:13
ወአመኒ ፡ ኢተሐየይከ ፡ ወተንሣእከ ፡ ኀዲገከ ፡ ምስሐከ ፡ ወሖርከ ፡ ትቀብር ፡ በድነ ፡ ወኢረሣእከ ፡ ገቢረ ፡ ሠናይ ፡ አሜሃ ፡ ሀሎኩ ፡ ምስሌከ ።
And when you did not delay to rise up, and leave your dinner, that you might go and cover the dead, your good deed was not hidden from me. I was with you.
當你不辭辛勞，起身撇下你的午飯，前去收殮死者的時候，我並沒有不知道你在行善，反倒與你同在。那時，我便奉差來試驗你。
12:14
ወእግዚአብሔር ፡ ፈነወኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ እፈውስከ ፡ ወለሣራ ፡ መርዓትከ ፡ ከመ ፡ እናዝዝ ፡ ኃዘና ።
And now God sent me to heal you and Sarah your daughter-in-law.
如今，天主差遣了我來醫治你和你的兒媳撒辣。
12:15
አነ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ሩፋኤል ፡ መልአክ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምነ ፡ ሰብአቱ ፡ ሊቃነ ፡ መላእክት ፡ ቅዱሳን ፡ እለ ፡ የዓርጉ ፡ ጸሎቶሙ ፡ ለቅዱሳን ፡ ወያበውዑ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ስብሐቲሁ ፡ ለዓቢይ ፡ ወቅዱስ ።
I am Raphael, one of the seven holy angels, which present the prayers of the saints, and go in before the glory of the Holy One.”
我是辣斐耳，是侍立在主榮耀前、出入其中的七位天使之一。」
12:16
ወሰሚዖሙ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ደንገፁ ፡ ክልኤሆሙ ፡ ወወድቁ ፡ በገጾሙ ፡ እስመ ፡ ፈርሁ ።
And they were both troubled, and fell upon their faces; for they were afraid.
他們二人都驚惶起來，俯伏在地，十分害怕。
12:17
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ኢትፍርሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ባርክዎ ።
And he said to them, “Don’t be afraid. You will all have peace; but bless God forever.
他便對他們說：「不要害怕，願你們平安。你們要永永遠遠讚美天主。
12:18
እስመ ፡ አኮ ፡ ሊተ ፡ አኰቴት ፡ አላ ፡ ፈቃዱ ፡ ለአምላክክሙ ፡ አምጽአኒ ፡ ወበእንተዝ ፡ ባርክዎ ፡ ለአምላከ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ለዓለም ።
For I came not of any favor of my own, but by the will of your God. Therefore bless him forever.
我從前與你們同在的時候，並不是憑我自己的恩惠，而是奉天主的旨意。你們要天天讚美祂，歌頌祂。
12:19
ወበኵሉ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ወአነ ፡ አስተርአይኩክሙ ፡ ወርኢክሙ ፡ ራእይየ ፡ ኢበላዕኩ ፡ ወኢሰተይኩ ፡ ምስሌክሙ ።
All these days I appeared to you. I didn’t eat or drink, but you all saw a vision.
你們看見我喫東西，其實我並沒有喫甚麼，那只是你們所看見的異象罷了。
12:20
ወይእዜኒ ፡ እመኑ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ፡ እስመአ ፡ ዓርግ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ዘፈነወኒ ፡ ወመጻእኩ ፡ እጽሐፍ ፡ እሎንተ ፡ መጻሕፍተ ።
Now give God thanks, because I ascend to him that sent me. Write in a book all the things which have been done.”
如今，你們要在地上讚美主，向天主稱謝。看，我要升到那差遣我來的那一位那裏去了。你們要把這一切臨到你們的事都記在書上。」說完，他便升上去了。
12:21
ወሶቤሃ ፡ ተንሥአ ፡ ወሖረ ፡ ወኢርእይዎ ፡ እንከ ።
Then they rose up, and saw him no more.
他們便起來，卻再也看不見他了。
12:22
ወአምኑ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ግብሩ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ዓቢይ ፡ ወግሩም ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ዘአስተርአዮሙ ፡ መልአከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
They confessed the great and wonderful works of God, and how the angel of the Lord had appeared to them.
他們便祝福歌頌天主，因祂向他們所行的這些偉大的作為，和天主的天使怎樣向他們顯現，向祂稱謝。
