3:1
Ἦν δὲ ἄνθρωπος ἐκ τῶν Φαρισαίων , Νικόδημος ὄνομα αὐτῷ , ἄρχων τῶν Ἰουδαίων ·
Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
有一個法利賽人，名叫尼哥德慕，是猶太人的官。
3:2
οὗτος ἦλθεν πρὸς αὐτὸν νυκτὸς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ · ῥαββεί , οἴδαμεν ὅτι ἀπὸ θεοῦ ἐλήλυθας διδάσκαλος · οὐδεὶς γὰρ δύναται ταῦτα τὰ σημεῖα ποιεῖν ἃ σὺ ποιεῖς , ἐὰν μὴ ᾖ ὁ θεὸς μετ’ αὐτοῦ .
He came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”
這人夜裏來見耶穌，說：「拉比，我們知道你是由上帝那裏來作師傅的；因為你所行的神蹟，若沒有上帝同在，無人能行。」
3:3
ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ · ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω σοι , ἐὰν μή τις γεννηθῇ ἄνωθεν , οὐ δύναται ἰδεῖν τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ .
Jesus answered him, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”
耶穌回答說：「我實實在在地告訴你，人若不重生，就不能見上帝的國。」
3:4
λέγει πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ Νικόδημος · πῶς δύναται ἄνθρωπος γεννηθῆναι γέρων ὤν ; μὴ δύναται εἰς τὴν κοιλίαν τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ δεύτερον εἰσελθεῖν καὶ γεννηθῆναι ;
Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
尼哥德慕說：「人已經老了，如何能重生呢？豈能再進母腹生出來嗎？」
3:5
ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς · ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω σοι , ἐὰν μή τις γεννηθῇ ἐξ ὕδατος καὶ πνεύματος , οὐ δύναται εἰσελθεῖν εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τῶν οὐρανῶν .
Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom.
耶穌說：「我實實在在地告訴你，人若不是從水和聖靈生的，就不能進上帝的國。
3:6
τὸ γεγεννημένον ἐκ τῆς σαρκὸς σάρξ ἐστιν , καὶ τὸ γεγεννημένον ἐκ τοῦ πνεύματος πνεῦμά ἐστιν .
That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
從肉身生的就是肉身；從靈生的就是靈。
3:7
μὴ θαυμάσῃς ὅτι εἶπόν σοι · δεῖ ὑμᾶς γεννηθῆναι ἄνωθεν .
Don’t marvel that I said to you, ‘You must all be born anew.’
我說：『你們必須重生』，你不要以為希奇。
3:8
τὸ πνεῦμα ὅπου θέλει πνεῖ , καὶ τὴν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ ἀκούεις , ἀλλ’ οὐκ οἶδας πόθεν ἔρχεται καὶ ποῦ ὑπάγει · οὕτως ἐστὶν πᾶς ὁ γεγεννημένος ἐκ τοῦ πνεύματος .
The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
風隨着意思吹，你聽見風的響聲，卻不曉得從哪裏來，往哪裏去；凡從聖靈生的，也是如此。」
3:9
ἀπεκρίθη Νικόδημος καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ · πῶς δύναται ταῦτα γενέσθαι ;
Nicodemus answered him, “How can these things be?”
尼哥德慕問他說：「怎能有這事呢？」
3:10
ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ · σὺ εἶ ὁ διδάσκαλος τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ταῦτα οὐ γινώσκεις ;
Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and don’t understand these things?
耶穌回答說：「你是以色列人的先生，還不明白這事嗎？
3:11
ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω σοι ὅτι ὃ οἴδαμεν λαλοῦμεν καὶ ὃ ἑωράκαμεν μαρτυροῦμεν , καὶ τὴν μαρτυρίαν ἡμῶν οὐ λαμβάνετε .
Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know and testify of that which we have seen, and you don’t receive our witness.
我實實在在地告訴你，我們所說的是我們知道的；我們所見證的是我們見過的；你們卻不領受我們的見證。
3:12
εἰ τὰ ἐπίγεια εἶπον ὑμῖν καὶ οὐ πιστεύετε , πῶς ἐὰν εἴπω ὑμῖν τὰ ἐπουράνια πιστεύσετε ;
If I told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
我對你們說地上的事，你們尚且不信，若說天上的事，如何能信呢？
3:13
καὶ οὐδεὶς ἀναβέβηκεν εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν εἰ μὴ ὁ ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καταβάς , ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ὁ ὢν ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ .
No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.
除了從天降下、仍舊在天的人子，沒有人升過天。
3:14
καὶ καθὼς Μωϋσῆς ὕψωσεν τὸν ὄφιν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ , οὕτως ὑψωθῆναι δεῖ τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ,
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
摩西在曠野怎樣舉蛇，人子也必照樣被舉起來，
3:15
ἵνα πᾶς ὁ πιστεύων ἐν αὐτῷ ἔχῃ ζωὴν αἰώνιον .
that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
叫一切信他的都得永生 。
3:16
οὕτως γὰρ ἠγάπησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν κόσμον , ὥστε τὸν υἱὸν τὸν μονογενῆ ἔδωκεν , ἵνα πᾶς ὁ πιστεύων εἰς αὐτὸν μὴ ἀπόληται ἀλλ’ ἔχῃ ζωὴν αἰώνιον .
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
「上帝愛世人，甚至將他的獨生子賜給他們，叫一切信他的，不致滅亡，反得永生。
3:17
οὐ γὰρ ἀπέστειλεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν υἱὸν εἰς τὸν κόσμον ἵνα κρίνῃ τὸν κόσμον , ἀλλ’ ἵνα σωθῇ ὁ κόσμος δι’ αὐτοῦ .
For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
因為上帝差他的兒子降世，不是要定世人的罪 ，乃是要叫世人因他得救。
3:18
ὁ πιστεύων εἰς αὐτὸν οὐ κρίνεται · ὁ μὴ πιστεύων ἤδη κέκριται , ὅτι μὴ πεπίστευκεν εἰς τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ μονογενοῦς υἱοῦ τοῦ θεοῦ .
He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.
信他的人，不被定罪；不信的人，罪已經定了，因為他不信上帝獨生子的名。
3:19
αὕτη δέ ἐστιν ἡ κρίσις , ὅτι τὸ φῶς ἐλήλυθεν εἰς τὸν κόσμον καὶ ἠγάπησαν οἱ ἄνθρωποι μᾶλλον τὸ σκότος ἢ τὸ φῶς · ἦν γὰρ αὐτῶν πονηρὰ τὰ ἔργα .
This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil.
光來到世間，世人因自己的行為是惡的，不愛光，倒愛黑暗，定他們的罪就是在此。
3:20
πᾶς γὰρ ὁ φαῦλα πράσσων μισεῖ τὸ φῶς καὶ οὐκ ἔρχεται πρὸς τὸ φῶς , ἵνα μὴ ἐλεγχθῇ τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ ·
For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.
凡作惡的便恨光，並不來就光，恐怕他的行為受責備。
3:21
ὁ δὲ ποιῶν τὴν ἀλήθειαν ἔρχεται πρὸς τὸ φῶς , ἵνα φανερωθῇ αὐτοῦ τὰ ἔργα , ὅτι ἐν θεῷ ἐστιν εἰργασμένα .
But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”
但行真理的必來就光，要顯明他所行的是靠上帝而行。」
3:22
Μετὰ ταῦτα ἦλθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν Ἰουδαίαν γῆν , καὶ ἐκεῖ διέτριβεν μετ’ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐβάπτιζεν .
After these things, Jesus came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them and baptized.
這事以後，耶穌和門徒到了猶太地，在那裏居住，施洗。
3:23
ἦν δὲ καὶ Ἰωάννης βαπτίζων ἐν Αἰνὼν ἐγγὺς τοῦ Σαλείμ , ὅτι ὕδατα πολλὰ ἦν ἐκεῖ , καὶ παρεγίνοντο καὶ ἐβαπτίζοντο ·
John also was baptizing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came and were baptized;
約翰在靠近撒冷的哀嫩也施洗；因為那裏水多，眾人都去受洗。（
3:24
οὔπω γὰρ ἦν βεβλημένος εἰς τὴν φυλακὴν Ἰωάννης .
for John was not yet thrown into prison.
那時約翰還沒有下在監裏。）
3:25
ἐγένετο οὖν ζήτησις ἐκ τῶν μαθητῶν Ἰωάννου μετὰ Ἰουδαίου περὶ καθαρισμοῦ .
Therefore a dispute arose on the part of John’s disciples with some Jews about purification.
約翰的門徒和一個猶太人辯論潔淨的禮，
3:26
καὶ ἦλθον πρὸς τὸν Ἰωάννην καὶ εἶπον αὐτῷ · ῥαββεί , ὃς ἦν μετὰ σοῦ πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου , ᾧ σὺ μεμαρτύρηκας , ἴδε οὗτος βαπτίζει καὶ πάντες ἔρχονται πρὸς αὐτόν .
They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.”
就來見約翰，說：「拉比，從前同你在約旦河外、你所見證的那位，現在施洗，眾人都往他那裏去了。」
3:27
ἀπεκρίθη Ἰωάννης καὶ εἶπεν · οὐ δύναται ἄνθρωπος λαμβάνειν οὐδέν ἐὰν μὴ ᾖ δεδομένον αὐτῷ ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ .
John answered, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven.
約翰說：「若不是從天上賜的，人就不能得甚麼。
3:28
αὐτοὶ ὑμεῖς μοι μαρτυρεῖτε ὅτι εἶπον · οὐκ εἰμὶ ἐγὼ ὁ Χριστός , ἀλλ’ ὅτι ἀπεσταλμένος εἰμὶ ἔμπροσθεν ἐκείνου .
You yourselves testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before him.’
我曾說：『我不是基督，是奉差遣在他前面的』，你們自己可以給我作見證。
3:29
ὁ ἔχων τὴν νύμφην νυμφίος ἐστίν · ὁ δὲ φίλος τοῦ νυμφίου , ὁ ἑστηκὼς καὶ ἀκούων αὐτοῦ , χαρᾷ χαίρει διὰ τὴν φωνὴν τοῦ νυμφίου . αὕτη οὖν ἡ χαρὰ ἡ ἐμὴ πεπλήρωται .
He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore my joy is made full.
娶新婦的就是新郎；新郎的朋友站着，聽見新郎的聲音就甚喜樂。故此，我這喜樂滿足了。
3:30
ἐκεῖνον δεῖ αὐξάνειν , ἐμὲ δὲ ἐλαττοῦσθαι .
He must increase, but I must decrease.
他必興旺，我必衰微。」
3:31
ὁ ἄνωθεν ἐρχόμενος ἐπάνω πάντων ἐστίν · ὁ ὢν ἐκ τῆς γῆς ἐκ τῆς γῆς ἐστιν καὶ ἐκ τῆς γῆς λαλεῖ . ὁ ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἐρχόμενος
“He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.
「從天上來的是在萬有之上；從地上來的是屬乎地，他所說的也是屬乎地。從天上來的是在萬有之上。
3:32
ὃ ἑώρακεν καὶ ἤκουσεν μαρτυρεῖ , καὶ τὴν μαρτυρίαν αὐτοῦ οὐδεὶς λαμβάνει .
What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.
他將所見所聞的見證出來，只是沒有人領受他的見證。
3:33
ὁ λαβὼν αὐτοῦ τὴν μαρτυρίαν ἐσφράγισεν ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ἀληθής ἐστιν .
He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true.
那領受他見證的，就印上印，證明上帝是真的。
3:34
ὃν γὰρ ἀπέστειλεν ὁ θεός , τὰ ῥήματα τοῦ θεοῦ λαλεῖ · οὐ γὰρ ἐκ μέτρου δίδωσιν τὸ πνεῦμα .
For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.
上帝所差來的就說上帝的話，因為上帝賜聖靈給他是沒有限量的。
3:35
ὁ πατὴρ ἀγαπᾷ τὸν υἱόν , καὶ πάντα δέδωκεν ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ .
The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.
父愛子，已將萬有交在他手裏。
3:36
ὁ πιστεύων εἰς τὸν υἱὸν ἔχει ζωὴν αἰώνιον · ὁ ἀπειθῶν τῷ υἱῷ οὐκ ὄψεται ζωήν , ἀλλ’ ἡ ὀργὴ τοῦ θεοῦ μένει ἐπ’ αὐτόν ,
One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
信子的人有永生；不信子的人得不着永生 ，上帝的震怒常在他身上。」
