16:1
Ταῦτα λελάληκα ὑμῖν ἵνα μὴ σκανδαλισθῆτε .
“I have said these things to you so that you wouldn’t be caused to stumble.
「我已將這些事告訴你們，使你們不至於跌倒。
16:2
ἀποσυναγώγους ποιήσουσιν ὑμᾶς · ἀλλ’ ἔρχεται ὥρα ἵνα πᾶς ὁ ἀποκτείνας ὑμᾶς δόξῃ λατρείαν προσφέρειν τῷ θεῷ .
They will put you out of the synagogues. Yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers service to God.
人要把你們趕出會堂，並且時候將到，凡殺你們的就以為是事奉上帝。
16:3
καὶ ταῦτα ποιήσουσιν ὅτι οὐκ ἔγνωσαν τὸν πατέρα οὐδὲ ἐμέ .
They will do these things because they have not known the Father nor me.
他們這樣行，是因未曾認識父，也未曾認識我。
16:4
ἀλλὰ ταῦτα λελάληκα ὑμῖν ἵνα ὅταν ἔλθῃ ἡ ὥρα μνημονεύητε αὐτῶν , ὅτι ἐγὼ εἶπον ὑμῖν . ταῦτα δὲ ὑμῖν ἐξ ἀρχῆς οὐκ εἶπον , ὅτι μεθ’ ὑμῶν ἤμην .
But I have told you these things so that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you about them. I didn’t tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
我將這事告訴你們，是叫你們到了時候可以想起我對你們說過了。」 聖靈的工作 「我起先沒有將這事告訴你們，因為我與你們同在。
16:5
νῦν δὲ ὑπάγω πρὸς τὸν πέμψαντά με , καὶ οὐδεὶς ἐξ ὑμῶν ἐρωτᾷ με · ποῦ ὑπάγεις ;
But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’
現今我往差我來的父那裏去，你們中間並沒有人問我：『你往哪裏去？』
16:6
ἀλλ’ ὅτι ταῦτα λελάληκα ὑμῖν ἡ λύπη πεπλήρωκεν ὑμῶν τὴν καρδίαν .
But because I have told you these things, sorrow has filled your heart.
只因我將這事告訴你們，你們就滿心憂愁。
16:7
ἀλλ’ ἐγὼ τὴν ἀλήθειαν λέγω ὑμῖν , συμφέρει ὑμῖν ἵνα ἐγὼ ἀπέλθω . ἐὰν γὰρ μὴ ἀπέλθω , ὁ παράκλητος οὐκ ἐλεύσεται πρὸς ὑμᾶς · ἐὰν δὲ πορευθῶ , πέμψω αὐτὸν πρὸς ὑμᾶς .
Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
然而，我將真情告訴你們，我去是與你們有益的；我若不去，保惠師就不到你們這裏來；我若去，就差他來。
16:8
καὶ ἐλθὼν ἐκεῖνος ἐλέγξει τὸν κόσμον περὶ ἁμαρτίας καὶ περὶ δικαιοσύνης καὶ περὶ κρίσεως ·
When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment;
他既來了，就要叫世人為罪、為義、為審判，自己責備自己。
16:9
περὶ ἁμαρτίας μέν , ὅτι οὐ πιστεύουσιν εἰς ἐμέ ·
about sin, because they don’t believe in me;
為罪，是因他們不信我；
16:10
περὶ δικαιοσύνης δέ , ὅτι πρὸς τὸν πατέρα ὑπάγω καὶ οὐκέτι θεωρεῖτέ με ·
about righteousness, because I am going to my Father, and you won’t see me any more;
為義，是因我往父那裏去，你們就不再見我；
16:11
περὶ δὲ κρίσεως , ὅτι ὁ ἄρχων τοῦ κόσμου τούτου κέκριται .
about judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged.
為審判，是因這世界的王受了審判。
16:12
ἔτι πολλὰ ἔχω ὑμῖν λέγειν , ἀλλ’ οὐ δύνασθε βαστάζειν ἄρτι ·
“I still have many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now.
「我還有好些事要告訴你們，但你們現在擔當不了 。
16:13
ὅταν δὲ ἔλθῃ ἐκεῖνος , τὸ πνεῦμα τῆς ἀληθείας , ὁδηγήσει ὑμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἀληθείᾳ πάσῃ · οὐ γὰρ λαλήσει ἀφ’ ἑαυτοῦ , ἀλλ’ ὅσα ἀκούει λαλήσει , καὶ τὰ ἐρχόμενα ἀναγγελεῖ ὑμῖν .
However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.
只等真理的聖靈來了，他要引導你們明白 一切的真理；因為他不是憑自己說的，乃是把他所聽見的都說出來，並要把將來的事告訴你們。
16:14
ἐκεῖνος ἐμὲ δοξάσει , ὅτι ἐκ τοῦ ἐμοῦ λήμψεται καὶ ἀναγγελεῖ ὑμῖν .
He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine and will declare it to you.
他要榮耀我，因為他要將受於我的告訴你們。
16:15
πάντα ὅσα ἔχει ὁ πατὴρ ἐμά ἐστιν · διὰ τοῦτο εἶπον ὅτι ἐκ τοῦ ἐμοῦ λαμβάνει καὶ ἀναγγελεῖ ὑμῖν .
All things that the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes of mine and will declare it to you.
凡父所有的，都是我的；所以我說，他要將受於我的告訴你們。」
16:16
μικρὸν καὶ οὐκέτι θεωρεῖτέ με , καὶ πάλιν μικρὸν καὶ ὄψεσθέ με .
“A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me.”
「等不多時，你們就不得見我；再等不多時，你們還要見我。」
16:17
Εἶπον οὖν ἐκ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ πρὸς ἀλλήλους · τί ἐστιν τοῦτο ὃ λέγει ἡμῖν · μικρὸν καὶ οὐ θεωρεῖτέ με , καὶ πάλιν μικρὸν καὶ ὄψεσθέ με ; καί ὅτι ὑπάγω πρὸς τὸν πατέρα ;
Some of his disciples therefore said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me;’ and, ‘Because I go to the Father’?”
有幾個門徒就彼此說：「他對我們說：『等不多時，你們就不得見我；再等不多時，你們還要見我』；又說：『因我往父那裏去。』這是甚麼意思呢？」
16:18
ἔλεγον οὖν · τοῦτο τί ἐστιν ὃ λέγει , τὸ μικρόν ; οὐκ οἴδαμεν τί λαλεῖ .
They said therefore, “What is this that he says, ‘A little while’? We don’t know what he is saying.”
門徒彼此說：「他說『等不多時』到底是甚麼意思呢？我們不明白他所說的話。」
16:19
ἔγνω Ἰησοῦς ὅτι ἤθελον αὐτὸν ἐρωτᾶν , καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς · περὶ τούτου ζητεῖτε μετ’ ἀλλήλων ὅτι εἶπον , μικρὸν καὶ οὐ θεωρεῖτέ με , καὶ πάλιν μικρὸν καὶ ὄψεσθέ με ;
Therefore Jesus perceived that they wanted to ask him, and he said to them, “Do you inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, ‘A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’?
耶穌看出他們要問他，就說：「我說『等不多時，你們就不得見我；再等不多時，你們還要見我』，你們為這話彼此相問嗎？
16:20
ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι κλαύσετε καὶ θρηνήσετε ὑμεῖς , ὁ δὲ κόσμος χαρήσεται · ὑμεῖς λυπηθήσεσθε , ἀλλ’ ἡ λύπη ὑμῶν εἰς χαρὰν γενήσεται .
Most certainly I tell you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
我實實在在地告訴你們，你們將要痛哭、哀號，世人倒要喜樂；你們將要憂愁，然而你們的憂愁要變為喜樂。
16:21
ἡ γυνὴ ὅταν τίκτῃ λύπην ἔχει , ὅτι ἦλθεν ἡ ὥρα αὐτῆς · ὅταν δὲ γεννήσῃ τὸ παιδίον , οὐκέτι μνημονεύει τῆς θλίψεως διὰ τὴν χαρὰν ὅτι ἐγεννήθη ἄνθρωπος εἰς τὸν κόσμον .
A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn’t remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.
婦人生產的時候就憂愁，因為她的時候到了；既生了孩子，就不再記念那苦楚，因為歡喜世上生了一個人。
16:22
καὶ ὑμεῖς οὖν νῦν μὲν λύπην ἔχετε · πάλιν δὲ ὄψομαι ὑμᾶς , καὶ χαρήσεται ὑμῶν ἡ καρδία , καὶ τὴν χαρὰν ὑμῶν οὐδεὶς αἴρει ἀφ’ ὑμῶν .
Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
你們現在也是憂愁，但我要再見你們，你們的心就喜樂了；這喜樂也沒有人能奪去。
16:23
καὶ ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐμὲ οὐκ ἐρωτήσετε οὐδέν . ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν , ἄν τι αἰτήσητε τὸν πατέρα , δώσει ὑμῖν ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου .
“In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.
到那日，你們甚麼也就不問我了。我實實在在地告訴你們，你們若向父求甚麼，他必因我的名賜給你們。
16:24
ἕως ἄρτι οὐκ ᾐτήσατε οὐδὲν ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου · αἰτεῖτε καὶ λήμψεσθε , ἵνα ἡ χαρὰ ὑμῶν ᾖ πεπληρωμένη .
Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
向來你們沒有奉我的名求甚麼，如今你們求，就必得着，叫你們的喜樂可以滿足。」
16:25
Ταῦτα ἐν παροιμίαις λελάληκα ὑμῖν · ἔρχεται ὥρα ὅτε οὐκέτι ἐν παροιμίαις λαλήσω ὑμῖν , ἀλλὰ παρρησίᾳ περὶ τοῦ πατρὸς ἀπαγγελῶ ὑμῖν .
“I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. But the time is coming when I will no more speak to you in figures of speech, but will tell you plainly about the Father.
「這些事，我是用比喻對你們說的；時候將到，我不再用比喻對你們說，乃要將父明明地告訴你們。
16:26
ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου αἰτήσεσθε , καὶ οὐ λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐρωτήσω τὸν πατέρα περὶ ὑμῶν ·
In that day you will ask in my name; and I don’t say to you that I will pray to the Father for you,
到那日，你們要奉我的名祈求；我並不對你們說，我要為你們求父。
16:27
αὐτὸς γὰρ ὁ πατὴρ φιλεῖ ὑμᾶς , ὅτι ὑμεῖς ἐμὲ πεφιλήκατε καὶ πεπιστεύκατε ὅτι ἐγὼ παρὰ τοῦ θεοῦ ἐξῆλθον .
for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God.
父自己愛你們；因為你們已經愛我，又信我是從父出來的。
16:28
ἐξῆλθον ἐκ τοῦ πατρὸς καὶ ἐλήλυθα εἰς τὸν κόσμον · πάλιν ἀφίημι τὸν κόσμον καὶ πορεύομαι πρὸς τὸν πατέρα .
I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”
我從父出來，到了世界；我又離開世界，往父那裏去。」
16:29
Λέγουσιν οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ · ἴδε νῦν ἐν παρρησίᾳ λαλεῖς , καὶ παροιμίαν οὐδεμίαν λέγεις .
His disciples said to him, “Behold, now you are speaking plainly, and using no figures of speech.
門徒說：「如今你是明說，並不用比喻了。
16:30
νῦν οἴδαμεν ὅτι οἶδας πάντα καὶ οὐ χρείαν ἔχεις ἵνα τίς σε ἐρωτᾷ · ἐν τούτῳ πιστεύομεν ὅτι ἀπὸ θεοῦ ἐξῆλθες .
Now we know that you know all things, and don’t need for anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came from God.”
現在我們曉得你凡事都知道，也不用人問你，因此我們信你是從上帝出來的。」
16:31
ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς Ἰησοῦς · ἄρτι πιστεύετε ;
Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe?
耶穌說：「現在你們信嗎？
16:32
ἰδοὺ ἔρχεται ὥρα καὶ ἐλήλυθεν ἵνα σκορπισθῆτε ἕκαστος εἰς τὰ ἴδια κἀμὲ μόνον ἀφῆτε · καὶ οὐκ εἰμὶ μόνος , ὅτι ὁ πατὴρ μετ’ ἐμοῦ ἐστιν .
Behold, the time is coming, yes, and has now come, that you will be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
看哪，時候將到，且是已經到了，你們要分散，各歸自己的地方去，留下我獨自一人；其實我不是獨自一人，因為有父與我同在。
16:33
ταῦτα λελάληκα ὑμῖν ἵνα ἐν ἐμοὶ εἰρήνην ἔχητε . ἐν τῷ κόσμῳ θλῖψιν ἔχετε · ἀλλὰ θαρσεῖτε , ἐγὼ νενίκηκα τὸν κόσμον .
I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
我將這些事告訴你們，是要叫你們在我裏面有平安。在世上，你們有苦難；但你們可以放心，我已經勝了世界。」
