9:1
Καὶ παράγων εἶδεν ἄνθρωπον τυφλὸν ἐκ γενετῆς.
As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth.
耶穌過去的時候，看見一個人生來是瞎眼的。
9:2
καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτὸν οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ λέγοντες· ῥαββεί, τίς ἥμαρτεν, οὗτος ἢ οἱ γονεῖς αὐτοῦ, ἵνα τυφλὸς γεννηθῇ;
His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
門徒問耶穌說：「拉比，這人生來是瞎眼的，是誰犯了罪？是這人呢？是他父母呢？」
9:3
ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς· οὔτε οὗτος ἥμαρτεν οὔτε οἱ γονεῖς αὐτοῦ, ἀλλ’ ἵνα φανερωθῇ τὰ ἔργα τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ.
Jesus answered, “This man didn’t sin, nor did his parents, but that the works of God might be revealed in him.
耶穌回答說：「也不是這人犯了罪，也不是他父母犯了罪，是要在他身上顯出上帝的作為來。
9:4
ἡμᾶς δεῖ ἐργάζεσθαι τὰ ἔργα τοῦ πέμψαντός ἡμᾶς ἕως ἡμέρα ἐστίν· ἔρχεται νὺξ ὅτε οὐδεὶς δύναται ἐργάζεσθαι.
I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.
趁着白日，我們必須做那差我來者的工；黑夜將到，就沒有人能做工了。
9:5
ὅταν ἐν τῷ κόσμῳ ὦ, φῶς εἰμι τοῦ κόσμου.
While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
我在世上的時候，是世上的光。」
9:6
ταῦτα εἰπὼν ἔπτυσεν χαμαὶ καὶ ἐποίησεν πηλὸν ἐκ τοῦ πτύσματος, καὶ ἐπέχρισεν αὐτοῦ τὸν πηλὸν ἐπὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς,
When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man’s eyes with the mud,
耶穌說了這話，就吐唾沫在地上，用唾沫和泥抹在瞎子的眼睛上，
9:7
καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ· ὕπαγε νίψαι εἰς τὴν κολυμβήθραν τοῦ Σιλωάμ, ὃ ἑρμηνεύεται ἀπεσταλμένος. ἀπῆλθεν οὖν καὶ ἐνίψατο, καὶ ἦλθεν βλέπων.
and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.
對他說：「你往西羅亞池子裏去洗。」（西羅亞翻出來就是「奉差遣」。） 他去一洗，回頭就看見了。
9:8
Οἱ οὖν γείτονες καὶ οἱ θεωροῦντες αὐτὸν τὸ πρότερον, ὅτι προσαίτης ἦν, ἔλεγον· οὐχ οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ καθήμενος καὶ προσαιτῶν;
Therefore the neighbors and those who saw that he was blind before said, “Isn’t this he who sat and begged?”
他的鄰舍和那素常見他是討飯的，就說：「這不是那從前坐着討飯的人嗎？」
9:9
ἄλλοι ἔλεγον ὅτι οὗτός ἐστιν· ἄλλοι ἔλεγον· οὐχί, ἀλλὰ ὅμοιος αὐτῷ ἐστιν. ἐκεῖνος ἔλεγεν ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι.
Others were saying, “It is he.” Still others were saying, “He looks like him.” He said, “I am he.”
有人說：「是他」；又有人說：「不是，卻是像他。」他自己說：「是我。」
9:10
ἔλεγον οὖν αὐτῷ· πῶς οὖν ἠνεῴχθησάν σου οἱ ὀφθαλμοί;
They therefore were asking him, “How were your eyes opened?”
他們對他說：「你的眼睛是怎麼開的呢？」
9:11
ἀπεκρίθη ἐκεῖνος· ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὁ λεγόμενος Ἰησοῦς πηλὸν ἐποίησεν καὶ ἐπέχρισέν μου τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς καὶ εἶπέν μοι ὅτι ὕπαγε εἰς τὸν Σιλωὰμ καὶ νίψαι· ἀπελθὼν οὖν καὶ νιψάμενος ἀνέβλεψα.
He answered, “A man called Jesus made mud, anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went away and washed, and I received sight.”
他回答說：「有一個人，名叫耶穌，他和泥抹我的眼睛，對我說：『你往西羅亞池子去洗。』我去一洗，就看見了。」
9:12
εἶπαν αὐτῷ· ποῦ ἔστιν ἐκεῖνος; λέγει· οὐκ οἶδα.
Then they asked him, “Where is he?” He said, “I don’t know.”
他們說：「那個人在哪裏？」他說：「我不知道。」
9:13
Ἄγουσιν αὐτὸν πρὸς τοὺς Φαρισαίους, τόν ποτε τυφλόν.
They brought him who had been blind to the Pharisees.
他們把從前瞎眼的人帶到法利賽人那裏。
9:14
ἦν δὲ σάββατον ἐν ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ τὸν πηλὸν ἐποίησεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ ἀνέῳξεν αὐτοῦ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς.
It was a Sabbath when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes.
耶穌和泥開他眼睛的日子是安息日。
9:15
πάλιν οὖν ἠρώτων αὐτὸν καὶ οἱ Φαρισαῖοι πῶς ἀνέβλεψεν. ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· πηλὸν ἐπέθηκέν μου ἐπὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς, καὶ ἐνιψάμην, καὶ βλέπω.
Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, “He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.”
法利賽人也問他是怎麼得看見的。瞎子對他們說：「他把泥抹在我的眼睛上，我去一洗，就看見了。」
9:16
ἔλεγον οὖν ἐκ τῶν Φαρισαίων τινές· οὐκ ἔστιν οὗτος παρὰ θεοῦ ὁ ἄνθρωπος, ὅτι τὸ σάββατον οὐ τηρεῖ. ἄλλοι ἔλεγον· πῶς δύναται ἄνθρωπος ἁμαρτωλὸς τοιαῦτα σημεῖα ποιεῖν; καὶ σχίσμα ἦν ἐν αὐτοῖς.
Some therefore of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because he doesn’t keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” So there was division among them.
法利賽人中有的說：「這個人不是從上帝來的，因為他不守安息日。」又有人說：「一個罪人怎能行這樣的神蹟呢？」他們就起了紛爭。
9:17
λέγουσιν οὖν τῷ τυφλῷ πάλιν· σὺ τί λέγεις περὶ αὐτοῦ, ὅτι ἤνοιξέν σου τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς; ὁ δὲ εἶπεν ὅτι προφήτης ἐστίν.
Therefore they asked the blind man again, “What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.”
他們又對瞎子說：「他既然開了你的眼睛，你說他是怎樣的人呢？」他說：「是個先知。」
9:18
οὐκ ἐπίστευσαν οὖν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι περὶ αὐτοῦ, ὅτι ἦν τυφλὸς καὶ ἀνέβλεψεν, ἕως ὅτου ἐφώνησαν τοὺς γονεῖς αὐτοῦ τοῦ ἀναβλέψαντος,
The Jews therefore didn’t believe concerning him, that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight,
猶太人不信他從前是瞎眼，後來能看見的，等到叫了他的父母來，
9:19
καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτοὺς λέγοντες· οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ υἱὸς ὑμῶν, ὃν ὑμεῖς λέγετε ὅτι τυφλὸς ἐγεννήθη; πῶς οὖν βλέπει ἄρτι;
and asked them, “Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”
問他們說：「這是你們的兒子嗎？你們說他生來是瞎眼的，如今怎麼能看見了呢？」
9:20
ἀπεκρίθησαν οὖν οἱ γονεῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπαν· οἴδαμεν ὅτι οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ υἱὸς ἡμῶν καὶ ὅτι τυφλὸς ἐγεννήθη·
His parents answered them, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;
他父母回答說：「他是我們的兒子，生來就瞎眼，這是我們知道的。
9:21
πῶς δὲ νῦν βλέπει οὐκ οἴδαμεν, ἢ τίς ἤνοιξεν αὐτοῦ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς ἡμεῖς οὐκ οἴδαμεν· αὐτὸν ἐρωτήσατε, ἡλικίαν ἔχει, αὐτὸς περὶ ἑαυτοῦ λαλήσει.
but how he now sees, we don’t know; or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”
至於他如今怎麼能看見，我們卻不知道；是誰開了他的眼睛，我們也不知道。他已經成了人，你們問他吧，他自己必能說。」
9:22
ταῦτα εἶπον οἱ γονεῖς αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἐφοβοῦντο τοὺς Ἰουδαίους· ἤδη γὰρ συνετέθειντο οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι ἵνα ἐάν τις αὐτὸν ὁμολογήσῃ Χριστόν, ἀποσυνάγωγος γένηται.
His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.
他父母說這話，是怕猶太人；因為猶太人已經商議定了，若有認耶穌是基督的，要把他趕出會堂。
9:23
διὰ τοῦτο οἱ γονεῖς αὐτοῦ εἶπαν ὅτι ἡλικίαν ἔχει, αὐτὸν ἐπερωτήσατε.
Therefore his parents said, “He is of age. Ask him.”
因此他父母說：「他已經成了人，你們問他吧。」
9:24
Ἐφώνησαν οὖν τὸν ἄνθρωπον ἐκ δευτέρου, ὃς ἦν τυφλός, καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ· δὸς δόξαν τῷ θεῷ· ἡμεῖς οἴδαμεν ὅτι ὁ ἄνθρωπος οὗτος ἁμαρτωλός ἐστιν.
So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”
所以法利賽人第二次叫了那從前瞎眼的人來，對他說：「你該將榮耀歸給上帝，我們知道這人是個罪人。」
9:25
ἀπεκρίθη οὖν ἐκεῖνος· εἰ ἁμαρτωλός ἐστιν οὐκ οἶδα· ἓν οἶδα, ὅτι τυφλὸς ὢν ἄρτι βλέπω.
He therefore answered, “I don’t know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”
他說：「他是個罪人不是，我不知道；有一件事我知道，從前我是眼瞎的，如今能看見了。」
9:26
εἶπον οὖν αὐτῷ· τί ἐποίησέν σοι; πῶς ἤνοιξέν σου τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς;
They said to him again, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”
他們就問他說：「他向你做甚麼？是怎麼開了你的眼睛呢？」
9:27
ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς· εἶπον ὑμῖν ἤδη καὶ οὐκ ἠκούσατε· τί πάλιν θέλετε ἀκούειν; μὴ καὶ ὑμεῖς θέλετε αὐτοῦ μαθηταὶ γενέσθαι;
He answered them, “I told you already, and you didn’t listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don’t also want to become his disciples, do you?”
他回答說：「我方才告訴你們，你們不聽，為甚麼又要聽呢？莫非你們也要作他的門徒嗎？」
9:28
ἐλοιδόρησαν αὐτὸν καὶ εἶπαν· σὺ μαθητὴς εἶ ἐκείνου, ἡμεῖς δὲ τοῦ Μωϋσέως ἐσμὲν μαθηταί·
They insulted him and said, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.
他們就罵他說：「你是他的門徒；我們是摩西的門徒。
9:29
ἡμεῖς οἴδαμεν ὅτι Μωϋσεῖ λελάληκεν ὁ θεός, τοῦτον δὲ οὐκ οἴδαμεν πόθεν ἐστίν.
We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don’t know where he comes from.”
上帝對摩西說話是我們知道的；只是這個人，我們不知道他從哪裏來！」
9:30
ἀπεκρίθη ὁ ἄνθρωπος καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· ἐν τούτῳ γὰρ τὸ θαυμαστόν ἐστιν, ὅτι ὑμεῖς οὐκ οἴδατε πόθεν ἐστίν, καὶ ἤνοιξέν μου τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς.
The man answered them, “How amazing! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.
那人回答說：「他開了我的眼睛，你們竟不知道他從哪裏來，這真是奇怪！
9:31
οἴδαμεν ὅτι ἁμαρτωλῶν ὁ θεὸς οὐκ ἀκούει, ἀλλ’ ἐάν τις θεοσεβὴς ᾖ καὶ τὸ θέλημα αὐτοῦ ποιῇ, τούτου ἀκούει.
We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, he listens to him.
我們知道上帝不聽罪人，惟有敬奉上帝、遵行他旨意的，上帝才聽他。
9:32
ἐκ τοῦ αἰῶνος οὐκ ἠκούσθη ὅτι ἤνοιξέν τις ὀφθαλμοὺς τυφλοῦ γεγεννημένου·
Since the world began it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind.
從創世以來，未曾聽見有人把生來是瞎子的眼睛開了。
9:33
εἰ μὴ ἦν οὗτος παρὰ θεοῦ, οὐκ ἠδύνατο ποιεῖν οὐδέν.
If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”
這人若不是從上帝來的，甚麼也不能做。」
9:34
ἀπεκρίθησαν καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ· ἐν ἁμαρτίαις σὺ ἐγεννήθης ὅλος, καὶ σὺ διδάσκεις ἡμᾶς; καὶ ἐξέβαλον αὐτὸν ἔξω.
They answered him, “You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?” Then they threw him out.
他們回答說：「你全然生在罪孽中，還要教訓我們嗎？」於是把他趕出去了。
9:35
Ἤκουσεν Ἰησοῦς ὅτι ἐξέβαλον αὐτὸν ἔξω, καὶ εὑρὼν αὐτὸν εἶπεν· σὺ πιστεύεις εἰς τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου;
Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of God?”
耶穌聽說他們把他趕出去，後來遇見他，就說：「你信上帝的兒子嗎？」
9:36
ἀπεκρίθη ἐκεῖνος καὶ εἶπεν· καὶ τίς ἐστιν, κύριε, ἵνα πιστεύσω εἰς αὐτόν;
He answered, “Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?”
他回答說：「主啊，誰是上帝的兒子，叫我信他呢？」
9:37
εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· καὶ ἑώρακας αὐτόν, καὶ ὁ λαλῶν μετὰ σοῦ ἐκεῖνός ἐστιν.
Jesus said to him, “You have both seen him, and it is he who speaks with you.”
耶穌說：「你已經看見他，現在和你說話的就是他。」
9:38
ὁ δὲ ἔφη· πιστεύω, κύριε· καὶ προσεκύνησεν αὐτῷ.
He said, “Lord, I believe!” and he worshiped him.
他說：「主啊，我信！」就拜耶穌。
9:39
καὶ εἶπεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς· εἰς κρίμα ἐγὼ εἰς τὸν κόσμον τοῦτον ἦλθον, ἵνα οἱ μὴ βλέποντες βλέπωσιν καὶ οἱ βλέποντες τυφλοὶ γένωνται.
Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment, that those who don’t see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”
耶穌說：「我為審判到這世上來，叫不能看見的，可以看見；能看見的，反瞎了眼。」
9:40
ἤκουσαν ἐκ τῶν Φαρισαίων οἱ μετ’ αὐτοῦ ὄντες, καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ· μὴ καὶ ἡμεῖς τυφλοί ἐσμεν;
Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said to him, “Are we also blind?”
同他在那裏的法利賽人聽見這話，就說：「難道我們也瞎了眼嗎？」
9:41
εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· εἰ τυφλοὶ ἦτε, οὐκ ἂν εἴχετε ἁμαρτίαν· νῦν δὲ λέγετε ὅτι βλέπομεν· ἡ ἁμαρτία ὑμῶν μένει.
Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
耶穌對他們說：「你們若瞎了眼，就沒有罪了；但如今你們說『我們能看見』，所以你們的罪還在。」
