2:1

ΦΩΤΙΖΟΜΕΝΩΝ, Ἐν Ἱεροσολύμοις σχεδιασθεῖσα ΠΕΡΙ ΜΕΤΑΝΟΙΑΣ, καὶ ἀφέσεως ἁμαρτιῶν, καὶ περὶ Ἀντικειμένου

Of those being illumined. Delivered extempore at Jerusalem: On Repentance, and the Remission of Sins, and concerning the Adversary.

對受光照者（即將受洗者）。在耶路撒冷即席講授：論悔改、罪的赦免，並論那敵對者。

2:2

Καὶ ἀνάγνωσις ἐκ τοῦ Ἰεζεκιήλ·

And a reading from Ezekiel:

又有一段以西結書的誦讀：

2:3

Δικαιοσύνη δικαίῳ ἐπ' αὐτὸν ἔσται, καὶ ἀνομία ἀνόμῳ ἐπ' αὐτὸν ἔσται

The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the lawlessness of the lawless shall be upon him.

義人的義必歸到他自己身上，惡人的惡也必歸到他自己身上。

2:4

Καὶ ὁ ἄνομος ἐὰν ἐπιστρέψῃ ἐκ πασῶν τῶν ἀνομιῶν αὐτοῦ, καὶ τὰ ἑξῆς

And the lawless, if he turn back from all his lawless deeds—and what follows.

惡人若回轉，離開他一切的惡行——以及下文所說的。

2:5

Δεινὸν ἡ ἁμαρτία, καὶ νόσος χαλεπωτάτη ψυχῆς ἡ παρανομία·

A dreadful thing is sin, and lawlessness is a most grievous disease of the soul;

罪是可怕的，違法乃是靈魂最沉重的疾病；

2:6

ὑποτέμνουσα μὲν αὐτῆς τὰ νεῦρα, καὶ πυρὸς δὲ αἰωνίου γιγνομένη παραίτιος

cutting away its sinews, and becoming a cause of eternal fire.

它割斷靈魂的筋脈，又成了招致永火的緣由。

2:7

Κακὸν αὐτεξούσιον, βλάστημα προαιρέσεως·

It is a self-chosen evil, an offshoot of the will;

罪是出於自主選擇的惡，是意志所長出的枝芽；

2:8

καὶ ὅτι γε αὐτοπροαιρέτως ἁμαρτάνομεν, λέγει που σαφῶς ὁ προφήτης·

and that we indeed sin of our own choice, the prophet somewhere says plainly:

我們確實是出於自己的選擇而犯罪，先知在某處明明地說：

2:9

Ἐγὼ δ' ἐφύτευσά σε ἄμπελον καρποφόρον πᾶσαν ἀληθίνην, πῶς ἐστράφης εἰς πικρίαν ἡ ἄμπελος ἡ ἀλλοτρία;Ἡ φυτεία καλὴ, ὁ δὲ καρπὸς ἐκ προαιρέσεως κακός·

But I planted you a wholly true and fruitful vine; how then are you turned to bitterness, a strange vine? The planting was good, but the fruit, from the will, is bad;

我栽你是全然真實、能結果子的葡萄樹，你怎麼向我變為苦澀、成了外邦的葡萄樹呢？栽種原是美好的，果子卻因意志而成為惡的；
