ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

But Josabee, daughter of king Joram, sister of Ochozias, took Joas the son of her brother and stole him away from among the king's sons who were being put to death, him and his nurse, into the chamber of the beds; and she hid him from the face of Gotholia, and he was not put to death.
And in the seventh year Jodae the priest sent and took the centurions, the Chorri and the Rasim, and brought them to himself into the house of the Lord, and made a covenant of the Lord with them, and put them under oath before the Lord; and Jodae showed them the king's son.
And he commanded them, saying, This is the thing which you shall do: a third of you shall come in on the sabbath, and you shall keep the watch of the king's house at the gateway;
And you shall surround the king round about, each man with his weapon in his hand; and whoever comes into the saderoth shall die. And he was with the king when he went out and when he came in.
And the centurions did all that Jodae the prudent commanded; and each man took his men that came in on the sabbath, with those that went out on the sabbath, and came to Jodae the priest.
And the runners stood, each man with his weapon in his hand, from the right shoulder of the house to the left shoulder of the house, by the altar and the house, around the king.
And he brought out the king's son and put upon him the nezer and the testimony, and made him king and anointed him; and they clapped with the hand and said, 'Long live the king!'
And she looked, and behold, the king was standing by the pillar according to the ordinance, and the singers and the trumpets were toward the king, and all the people of the land were rejoicing and sounding with trumpets. And Gotholia tore her own garments and cried out, 'Conspiracy, conspiracy!'
And Jodae the priest commanded the commanders of hundreds, the overseers of the force, and said to them, 'Bring her out from within the sadēroth; and whoever goes in after her shall surely be put to death by the sword.' For the priest had said, 'Let her not die in the house of the Lord.'
And Jodae made a covenant between the Lord and the king and the people, that they should be a people for the Lord; and between the king and the people.
And all the people of the land went into the house of Baal and pulled it down, and his altars and his images they broke in pieces thoroughly; and Matthan the priest of Baal they killed before the altars. And the priest appointed overseers over the house of the Lord.
And he took the commanders of hundreds and the Chorri and the Rasim and all the people of the land, and they brought the king down from the house of the Lord; and he entered by the way of the gate of the runners of the king's house, and they seated him upon the throne of the kings.
