📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

In the corruption of men I drew them out, with the bonds of my love. And I shall be to them like a man striking upon his cheeks; and I will look upon him; I will prevail over him.
How shall I deal with you, Ephraim? I will shield you, O Israel. How shall I deal with you? I will make you like Adama and like Seboim. My heart was turned within me; my remorse was stirred up together.
I will by no means act according to the wrath of my anger; I will by no means abandon Ephraim to be blotted out; for I am God and not a man, a holy one in your midst, and I will not enter into a city.
And they shall be amazed, like a bird out of Egypt and like a dove out of the land of the Assyrians. And I will restore them to their own houses, says the Lord.
