11:1
እብል እንከ ገደፎሙኑ እግዚአብሔር ለሕዝቡ ሐሰ አኮኑ አነ እስራኤላዊ አነ ዘርዐ አርብሃም እምሕዝበ ብንያም።
我且說，上帝棄絕了他的百姓嗎？斷乎沒有！因為我也是以色列人，亞伯拉罕的後裔，屬便雅憫支派的。
I ask then, did God reject his people? May it never be! For I also am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
11:2
ኢገደፈ እግዚአብሔር ሕዝቦ ዘአቅደመ አእምሮ ኢተአምሩኑ ዘይቤ ኤልያስ አመ ሰከዮሙ ለእስራኤል ኀበ እግዚአብሔር እንዘ ይብል።
上帝並沒有棄絕他預先所知道的百姓。你們豈不曉得經上論到以利亞是怎麼說的呢？他在上帝面前怎樣控告以色列人說：
God didn’t reject his people, whom he foreknew. Or don’t you know what the Scripture says about Elijah? How he pleads with God against Israel:
11:3
«እግዚኦ ነቢያቲከኒ ቀተሉ ወምሥዋዒከኒ ነሠቱ ወአነ ባሕቲትየ ተረፍኩ ወየኀሥሥዋ ለነፍስየ።»
「主啊，他們殺了你的先知，拆了你的祭壇，只剩下我一個人；他們還要尋索我的命。」
“Lord, they have killed your prophets. They have broken down your altars. I am left alone, and they seek my life.”
11:4
ወምንተ ይቤሎ ዘአስተርአዮ «አትረፍኩ ሊተ ሰብዓ ምእተ ብእሴ እለ ኢያምለክዎ ለበዓል።»
上帝的回話是怎麼說的呢？他說：「我為自己留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝的。」
But how does God answer him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”
11:5
ከማሁኬ ዮምኒ በዝ መዋዕል እምእለ ኮኑ ኅሬ በጸጋ እለ ተርፉ አምኑ በእግዚአብሔር።
如今也是這樣，照着揀選的恩典，還有所留的餘數。
Even so too at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
11:6
ወእመሰኬ በጸጋ ጸድቁ ኢኮነኬ በጽድቀ ምግባሮሙ ወእመ አኮሰ ጸጋ ኢይከውን ጸጋ ለእመ በምግባር ይጸድቁ።
既是出於恩典，就不在乎行為；不然，恩典就不是恩典了。
And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.
11:7
ምንተ እንከ የኀሥሥ እስራኤል ዘዘንተ ኢያድምዐ ወኅሬሰ አድምዐ ወእለሰ ተርፉ ዖሩ።
這是怎麼樣呢？以色列人所求的，他們沒有得着。惟有蒙揀選的人得着了；其餘的就成了頑梗不化的。
What then? That which Israel seeks for, that he didn’t obtain, but the chosen ones obtained it, and the rest were hardened.
11:8
በከመ ይቤ መጽሐፍ «ወሀቦሙ እግዚአብሔር መንፈሰ ድንዙዘ ከመ ኢይነጽሩ በአዕይንቲሆሙ ወኢይርአዩ ወኢይስምዑ በእዘኒሆሙ እስከ ዮም።»
如經上所記： 上帝給他們昏迷的心， 眼睛不能看見， 耳朵不能聽見， 直到今日。
According as it is written, “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, to this very day.”
11:9
ዳዊትኒ ይቤ «ለትኩኖሙ ማእዶሙ መሥገርተ በቅድሜሆሙ ለፍዳሆሙ ወለዕቅፍቶሙ።
大衛也說： 願他們的筵席變為網羅，變為機檻， 變為絆腳石，作他們的報應。
David says, “Let their table be made a snare, a trap, a stumbling block, and a retribution to them.
11:10
ይጽለማ አዕይንቲሆሙ ወኢይርአያ ወይትቀጻዕ ዘባናቲሆሙ በኵሉ ጊዜ።»
願他們的眼睛昏矇，不得看見； 願你時常彎下他們的腰。
Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see. Always keep their backs bent.”
11:11
እብል እንከ ተዐቅፉኑ ከመ ይደቁ ሐሰ አኮኑ በእንተ ተዐቅፎቶሙ ኮነ ሕይወት ላዕለ አሕዛብ ከመ ይቅንኡ።
我且說，他們失腳是要他們跌倒嗎？斷乎不是！反倒因他們的過失，救恩便臨到外邦人，要激動他們發憤。
I ask then, did they stumble that they might fall? May it never be! But by their fall salvation has come to the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.
11:12
ሶበ ስሒተ ዚኣሆሙ ሣህለ ኮነ ለአሕዛብ ወጌጋየ ዚኣሆሙ ብዕለ ኮነ ለዓለም እፎ እንጋ እምኮነ ፍጻሜሆሙ።
若他們的過失為天下的富足，他們的缺乏為外邦人的富足，何況他們的豐滿呢？
Now if their fall is the riches of the world, and their loss the riches of the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!
11:13
ለክሙ እብል ለአሕዛብ አምጣነሰ ሐዋርያሆሙ አነ ለአሕዛብ እሴብሓ ለመልእክትየ።
我對你們外邦人說這話；因我是外邦人的使徒，所以敬重 我的職分，
For I speak to you who are Gentiles. Since then as I am an apostle to Gentiles, I glorify my ministry,
11:14
እመቦ ከመ አቅንኦሙ በዝንቱ ለአዝማድየ ወለሕዝብየ ወአድኅን እለ ኮኑ እምኔሆሙ።
或者可以激動我骨肉之親發憤，好救他們一些人。
if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh, and may save some of them.
11:15
እስመ ፀአተ ዚኣሆሙ ሣህለ ኮነ ለዓለም እፎ ፈድፋደ እምኮነ ተመይጦቶሙ ሕይወት እሙታን።
若他們被丟棄，天下就得與上帝和好，他們被收納，豈不是死而復生嗎？
For if the rejection of them is the reconciling of the world, what would their acceptance be, but life from the dead?
11:16
ወለእመ ኮነት ቀዳሚሃ ቅድስተ ወብሑእኒ ቅዱስ ከማሁ ወለእመ ኮነ ሥርዋ ቅዱሰ ከማሁ አዕጹቂሃኒ ቅዱስ።
所獻的新麵若是聖潔，全團也就聖潔了；樹根若是聖潔，樹枝也就聖潔了。
If the first fruit is holy, so is the lump. If the root is holy, so are the branches.
11:17
ወለእመ ተሰብሩ እምአዕጹቂሃ ኪያከ አውልዐ ገዳም ተከሉ በመካኖሙ ወኀበርከ ሥርወ ምስሌሆሙ ወኮንከ ዘይተ ከማሆሙ።
若有幾根枝子被折下來，你這野橄欖得接在其中，一同得着橄欖根的肥汁，
But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the root and of the richness of the olive tree,
11:18
ወኢትዘኀር ላዕለ አዕጹቅ ወእመሰ ተዝኅርከ አኮ አንተ ዘትጸውሮ ለሥርው አላ ሥርው ይጸውረከ ለከ።
你就不可向舊枝子誇口；若是誇口，當知道不是你托着根，乃是根托着你。
don’t boast over the branches. But if you boast, remember that it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you.
11:19
ትብልኑ ተሰብሩ እምአጹፁቂሃ ወአነ ኮንኩ ዐጽቀ ዘይት ህየንቴሆሙ።
你若說，那枝子被折下來是特為叫我接上。
You will say then, “Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.”
11:20
ርቱዕ ይሰበሩ እስመ ኢአምኑ ወአንተሰ ቆምከ እስመ አመንከ ፍሩሀከ ንበር እንከ ወኢታዕቢ ርእሰከ።
不錯！他們因為不信，所以被折下來；你因為信，所以立得住；你不可自高，反要懼怕。
True; by their unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by your faith. Don’t be conceited, but fear;
11:21
ሶበ ለእልክቱ እለ ፍጥረቶሙ ዘይት እሙንቱ ኢመሐኮሙ እግዚአብሔር ኪያከኑ ይምሕከከ።
上帝既不愛惜原來的枝子，也必不愛惜你。
for if God didn’t spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you.
11:22
ርኢ እንከ ምሕረቶሂ ወአጥብዖቶሂ ለእግዚአብሔር ለእለሰ ወድቁ አውቀዮሙ ወለከሰ ምሕረከ ለእመ ነበርከ በዘምሕረከ ወእመ አኮሰ ኪያከኒ ያወቅየከ።
可見，上帝的恩慈和嚴厲向那跌倒的人是嚴厲的，向你是有恩慈的，只要你長久在他的恩慈裏；不然，你也要被砍下來。
See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off.
11:23
ወሎሙኒ ይተክሎሙ ለእመ አምኑ ይክል እግዚአብሔር ተኪሎቶሙ ዳግመ።
而且他們若不是長久不信，仍要被接上，因為上帝能夠把他們重新接上。
They also, if they don’t continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.
11:24
ኪያከ ጥቀ አውልዐ ገዳም ገዘመከ እምፍጥረትከ ወተከለከ ውስተ ዘኢኮነ ፍጥረትከ ውስተ ሠናይ ዘይት እፎ እንከ ፈድፋደ ሎሙ ይክል ተኪሎቶሙ ውስተ ፍጥረቶሙ እለ ዘይት እሙንቱ ቀዳሚሆሙ።
你是從那天生的野橄欖上砍下來的，尚且逆着性得接在好橄欖上，何況這本樹的枝子，要接在本樹上呢！
For if you were cut out of that which is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree, how much more will these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
11:25
ወእፈቅድ ለክሙ አኀዊነ ታእምሩ ዘንተ ምክረ ከመ ኢትበሉ ጠቢባን ንሕነ እስመ ዑረተ ልብ ረከቦሙ ለእስራኤል መክፈልቶሙ እስከ አመ ይበውኡ ኵሉ አሕዛብ።
弟兄們，我不願意你們不知道這奧祕（恐怕你們自以為聰明），就是以色列人有幾分是硬心的，等到外邦人的數目添滿了，
For I don’t desire you to be ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, so that you won’t be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in,
11:26
ወእምዝ የሐይዉ ኵሉ እስራኤል በከመ ይቤ መጽሐፍ «እምጽዮን ይወፅእ መድኅን ወያአትት ኀጢአተ እምያዕቆብ።
於是以色列全家都要得救。如經上所記： 必有一位救主從錫安出來， 要消除雅各家的一切罪惡；
and so all Israel will be saved. Even as it is written, “There will come out of Zion the Deliverer, and he will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
11:27
ወቦቱ ይረክቡ ተስፋሆሙ አመ አእተትኩ ሎሙ ኀጢአቶሙ።»
又說：我除去他們罪的時候， 這就是我與他們所立的約。
This is my covenant with them, when I will take away their sins.”
11:28
እመንገለ ወንጌልሰ ፀርነ እሙንቱ በእንቲኣክሙ ወእመንገለ ኅሬሰ አኀዊነ እሙንቱ በእንተ አበዊነ።
就着福音說，他們為你們的緣故是仇敵；就着揀選說，他們為列祖的緣故是蒙愛的。
Concerning the Good News, they are enemies for your sake. But concerning the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sake.
11:29
እስመ አልቦ ንስሓ በጸጋ እግዚአብሔር።
因為上帝的恩賜和選召是沒有後悔的。
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
11:30
በከመ አንትሙ ቀዲሙ ዐለውክምዎ ለእግዚአብሔር ወይእዜሰ ተሣሀለክሙ እሙንቱሂ ዐለውዎ በከመ አንትሙ።
你們從前不順服上帝，如今因他們的不順服，你們倒蒙了憐恤。
For as you in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience,
11:31
ከማሁ እሙንቱሂ ዐለውዎ ይእዜ ከመ ሎሙኒ ይሣሀሎሙ።
這樣，他們也是不順服，叫他們因着施給你們的憐恤，現在也就蒙憐恤。
even so these also have now been disobedient, that by the mercy shown to you they may also obtain mercy.
11:32
እስመ እግዚአብሔር ዘግሖ ለኵሉ ውስተ ኀጢአት ከመ ይሣሀሎ ለኵሉ።
因為上帝將眾人都圈在不順服之中，特意要憐恤眾人。
For God has bound all to disobedience, that he might have mercy on all.
11:33
ኦ ዕመቂሁ ለብዕለ ጥበቢሁ ወአእምሮቱ ለእግዚአብሔር ወአልቦ አሠር ለፍኖቱ ወአልቦ ዘየአምሮ ለፍትሑ።
深哉，上帝豐富的智慧和知識！ 他的判斷何其難測！ 他的蹤跡何其難尋！
Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!
11:34
ወመኑ የአምር ኅሊናሁ ለእግዚአብሔር ወመኑ ተማከሮ።
誰知道主的心？ 誰作過他的謀士呢？
“For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?”
11:35
ወመኑ ለቅሖ ወተፈድዮ።
誰是先給了他， 使他後來償還呢？
“Or who has first given to him, and it will be repaid to him again?”
11:36
እስመ ኵሉ እምኔሁ ወኵሉ በእንቲኣሁ ወኵሉ ቦቱ ወሎቱ ስብሐት ለዓለመ ዓለም አሜን።
因為萬有都是本於他， 倚靠他，歸於他。 願榮耀歸給他，直到永遠。阿們！
For of him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.
