20:1
Profectus inde Abraham in terram australem, habitavit inter Cades et Sur : et peregrinatus est in Geraris.
亞伯拉罕從那裏向南地遷去,寄居在加低斯和書珥中間的基拉耳。
Abraham traveled from there toward the land of the South, and lived between Kadesh and Shur. He lived as a foreigner in Gerar.
20:2
Dixitque de Sara uxore suo : Soror mea est. Misit ergo Abimelech rex Gerarae, et tulit eam.
亞伯拉罕稱他的妻撒拉為妹子,基拉耳王亞比米勒差人把撒拉取了去。
Abraham said about Sarah his wife, “She is my sister.” Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
20:3
Venit autem Deus ad Abimelech per somnium nocte, et ait illi : En morieris propter mulierem quam tulisti : habet enim virum.
但夜間,上帝來,在夢中對亞比米勒說:「你是個死人哪!因為你取了那女人來;她原是別人的妻子。」
But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, “Behold, you are a dead man, because of the woman whom you have taken; for she is a man’s wife.”
20:4
Abimelech vero non tetigerat eam, et ait : Domine, num gentem ignorantem et justam interficies ?
亞比米勒卻還沒有親近撒拉;他說:「主啊,連有義的國,你也要毀滅嗎?
Now Abimelech had not come near her. He said, “Lord, will you kill even a righteous nation?
20:5
nonne ipse dixit mihi : Soror mea est : et ipsa ait : Frater meus est ? In simplicitate cordis mei, et munditia manuum mearum feci hoc.
那人豈不是自己對我說『她是我的妹子』嗎?就是女人也自己說:『他是我的哥哥。』我做這事是心正手潔的。」
Didn’t he tell me, ‘She is my sister’? She, even she herself, said, ‘He is my brother.’ I have done this in the integrity of my heart and the innocence of my hands.”
20:6
Dixitque ad eum Deus : Et ego scio quod simplici corde feceris : et ideo custodivi te ne peccares in me, et non dimisi ut tangeres eam.
上帝在夢中對他說:「我知道你做這事是心中正直;我也攔阻了你,免得你得罪我,所以我不容你沾着她。
God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done this, and I also withheld you from sinning against me. Therefore I didn’t allow you to touch her.
20:7
Nunc ergo redde viro suo uxorem, quia propheta est : et orabit pro te, et vives : si autem nolueris reddere, scito quod morte morieris tu, et omnia quae tua sunt.
現在你把這人的妻子歸還他;因為他是先知,他要為你禱告,使你存活。你若不歸還他,你當知道,你和你所有的人都必要死。」
Now therefore, restore the man’s wife. For he is a prophet, and he will pray for you, and you will live. If you don’t restore her, know for sure that you will die, you, and all who are yours.”
20:8
Statimque de nocte consurgens Abimelech, vocavit omnes servos suos : et locutus est universa verba haec in auribus eorum, timueruntque omnes viri valde.
亞比米勒清早起來,召了眾臣僕來,將這些事都說給他們聽,他們都甚懼怕。
Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ear. The men were very scared.
20:9
Vocavit autem Abimelech etiam Abraham, et dixit ei : Quid fecisti nobis ? quid peccavimus in te, quia induxisti super me et super regnum meum peccatum grande ? quae non debuisti facere, fecisti nobis.
亞比米勒召了亞伯拉罕來,對他說:「你怎麼向我這樣行呢?我在甚麼事上得罪了你,你竟使我和我國裏的人陷在大罪裏?你向我行不當行的事了!」
Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said to him, “What have you done to us? How have I sinned against you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that ought not to be done!”
20:10
Rursumque expostulans, ait : Quid vidisti, ut hoc faceres ?
亞比米勒又對亞伯拉罕說:「你見了甚麼才做這事呢?」
Abimelech said to Abraham, “What did you see, that you have done this thing?”
20:11
Respondit Abraham : Cogitavi mecum, dicens : Forsitan non est timor Dei in loco isto : et interficient me propter uxorem meam :
亞伯拉罕說:「我以為這地方的人總不懼怕上帝,必為我妻子的緣故殺我。
Abraham said, “Because I thought, ‘Surely the fear of God is not in this place. They will kill me for my wife’s sake.’
20:12
alias autem et vere soror mea est, filia patris mei, et non filia matris meae, et duxi eam in uxorem.
況且她也實在是我的妹子;她與我是同父異母,後來作了我的妻子。
Besides, she is indeed my sister, the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.
20:13
Postquam autem eduxit me Deus de domo patris mei, dixi ad eam : Hanc misericordiam facies mecum : in omni loco, ad quem ingrediemur, dices quod frater tuus sim.
當上帝叫我離開父家、飄流在外的時候,我對她說:『我們無論走到甚麼地方,你可以對人說:他是我的哥哥;這就是你待我的恩典了。』」
When God caused me to wander from my father’s house, I said to her, ‘This is your kindness which you shall show to me. Everywhere that we go, say of me, “He is my brother.”’”
20:14
Tulit igitur Abimelech oves et boves, et servos et ancillas, et dedit Abraham : reddiditque illi Saram uxorem suam,
亞比米勒把牛、羊、僕婢賜給亞伯拉罕,又把他的妻子撒拉歸還他。
Abimelech took sheep and cattle, male servants and female servants, and gave them to Abraham, and restored Sarah, his wife, to him.
20:15
et ait : Terra coram vobis est, ubicumque tibi placuerit habita.
亞比米勒又說:「看哪,我的地都在你面前,你可以隨意居住」;
Abimelech said, “Behold, my land is before you. Dwell where it pleases you.”
20:16
Sarae autem dixit : Ecce mille argenteos dedi fratri tuo, hoc erit tibi in velamen oculorum ad omnes qui tecum sunt, et quocumque perrexeris : mementoque te deprehensam.
又對撒拉說:「我給你哥哥一千銀子,作為你在閤家人面前遮羞的 ,你就在眾人面前沒有不是了。」
To Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. Behold, it is for you a covering of the eyes to all that are with you. In front of all you are vindicated.”
20:17
Orante autem Abraham, sanavit Deus Abimelech et uxorem, ancillasque ejus, et pepererunt :
亞伯拉罕禱告上帝,上帝就醫好了亞比米勒和他的妻子,並他的眾女僕,她們便能生育。
Abraham prayed to God. So God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants, and they bore children.
20:18
concluserat enim Dominus omnem vulvam domus Abimelech propter Saram uxorem Abrahae.
因耶和華為亞伯拉罕的妻子撒拉的緣故,已經使亞比米勒家中的婦人不能生育。
For Yahweh had closed up tight all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah, Abraham’s wife.
