41:1
Post duos annos vidit Pharao somnium. Putabat se stare super fluvium,
過了兩年,法老做夢,夢見自己站在河邊,
At the end of two full years, Pharaoh dreamed, and behold, he stood by the river.
41:2
de quo ascendebant septem boves, pulchrae et crassae nimis : et pascebantur in locis palustribus.
有七隻母牛從河裏上來,又美好又肥壯,在蘆荻中吃草。
Behold, seven cattle came up out of the river. They were sleek and fat, and they fed in the marsh grass.
41:3
Aliae quoque septem emergebant de flumine, foedae confectaeque macie : et pascebantur in ipsa amnis ripa in locis virentibus :
隨後又有七隻母牛從河裏上來,又醜陋又乾瘦,與那七隻母牛一同站在河邊。
Behold, seven other cattle came up after them out of the river, ugly and thin, and stood by the other cattle on the brink of the river.
41:4
devoraveruntque eas, quarum mira species et habitudo corporum erat. Expergefactus Pharao,
這又醜陋又乾瘦的七隻母牛吃盡了那又美好又肥壯的七隻母牛。法老就醒了。
The ugly and thin cattle ate up the seven sleek and fat cattle. So Pharaoh awoke.
41:5
rursum dormivit, et vidit alterum somnium : septem spicae pullulabant in culmo uno plenae atque formosae :
他又睡着,第二回做夢,夢見一棵麥子長了七個穗子,又肥大又佳美,
He slept and dreamed a second time; and behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, healthy and good.
41:6
aliae quoque totidem spicae tenues, et percussae uredine oriebantur,
隨後又長了七個穗子,又細弱又被東風吹焦了。
Behold, seven heads of grain, thin and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.
41:7
devorantes omnium priorum pulchritudinem. Evigilans Pharao post quietem,
這細弱的穗子吞了那七個又肥大又飽滿的穗子。法老醒了,不料是個夢。
The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy and full ears. Pharaoh awoke, and behold, it was a dream.
41:8
et facto mane, pavore perterritus, misit ad omnes conjectores Aegypti, cunctosque sapientes, et accersitis narravit somnium, nec erat qui interpretaretur.
到了早晨,法老心裏不安,就差人召了埃及所有的術士和博士來;法老就把所做的夢告訴他們,卻沒有人能給法老圓解。
In the morning, his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all of Egypt’s magicians and wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Pharaoh.
41:9
Tunc demum reminiscens pincernarum magister, ait : Confiteor peccatum meum :
那時酒政對法老說:「我今日想起我的罪來。
Then the chief cup bearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying, “I remember my faults today.
41:10
iratus rex servis suis, me et magistrum pistorum retrudi jussit in carcerem principis militum :
從前法老惱怒臣僕,把我和膳長下在護衛長府內的監裏。
Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, with the chief baker.
41:11
ubi una nocte uterque vidimus somnium praesagum futurorum.
我們二人同夜各做一夢,各夢都有講解。
We dreamed a dream in one night, he and I. Each man dreamed according to the interpretation of his dream.
41:12
Erat ibi puer hebraeus, ejusdem ducis militum famulus : cui narrantes somnia,
在那裏同着我們有一個希伯來的少年人,是護衛長的僕人,我們告訴他,他就把我們的夢圓解,是按着各人的夢圓解的。
There was with us there a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard, and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams. He interpreted to each man according to his dream.
41:13
audivimus quidquid postea rei probavit eventus ; ego enim redditus sum officio meo, et ille suspensus est in cruce.
後來正如他給我們圓解的成就了:我官復原職,膳長被掛起來了。」
As he interpreted to us, so it was. He restored me to my office, and he hanged him.”
41:14
Protinus ad regis imperium eductum de carcere Joseph totonderunt : ac veste mutata obtulerunt ei.
法老遂即差人去召約瑟,他們便急忙帶他出監,他就剃頭,刮臉,換衣裳,進到法老面前。
Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon. He shaved himself, changed his clothing, and came in to Pharaoh.
41:15
Cui ille ait : Vidi somnia, nec est qui edisserat : quae audivi te sapientissime conjicere.
法老對約瑟說:「我做了一夢,沒有人能解;我聽見人說,你聽了夢就能解。」
Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”
41:16
Respondit Joseph : Absque me Deus respondebit prospera Pharaoni.
約瑟回答法老說:「這不在乎我,上帝必將平安的話回答法老。」
Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It isn’t in me. God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”
41:17
Narravit ergo Pharao quod viderat : Putabam me stare super ripam fluminis,
法老對約瑟說:「我夢見我站在河邊,
Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, “In my dream, behold, I stood on the brink of the river;
41:18
et septem boves de amne conscendere, pulchras nimis, et obesis carnibus : quae in pastu paludis virecta carpebant.
有七隻母牛從河裏上來,又肥壯又美好,在蘆荻中吃草。
and behold, seven fat and sleek cattle came up out of the river. They fed in the marsh grass;
41:19
Et ecce, has sequebantur aliae septem boves, in tantum deformes et macilentae, ut numquam tales in terra Aegypti viderim :
隨後又有七隻母牛上來,又軟弱又醜陋又乾瘦,在埃及遍地,我沒有見過這樣不好的。
and behold, seven other cattle came up after them, poor and very ugly and thin, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for ugliness.
41:20
quae, devoratis et consumptis prioribus,
這又乾瘦又醜陋的母牛吃盡了那以先的七隻肥母牛,
The thin and ugly cattle ate up the first seven fat cattle;
41:21
nullum saturitatis dedere vestigium : sed simili macie et squalore torpebant. Evigilans, rursus sopore depressus,
吃了以後卻看不出是吃了,那醜陋的樣子仍舊和先前一樣。我就醒了。
and when they had eaten them up, it couldn’t be known that they had eaten them, but they were still ugly, as at the beginning. So I awoke.
41:22
vidi somnium. Septem spicae pullulabant in culmo uno plenae atque pulcherrimae.
我又夢見一棵麥子,長了七個穗子,又飽滿又佳美,
I saw in my dream, and behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, full and good;
41:23
Aliae quoque septem tenues et percussae uredine, oriebantur e stipula :
隨後又長了七個穗子,枯槁細弱,被東風吹焦了。
and behold, seven heads of grain, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.
41:24
quae priorum pulchritudinem devoraverunt. Narravi conjectoribus somnium, et nemo est qui edisserat.
這些細弱的穗子吞了那七個佳美的穗子。我將這夢告訴了術士,卻沒有人能給我解說。」
The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads of grain. I told it to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”
41:25
Respondit Joseph : Somnium regis unum est : quae facturus est Deus, ostendit Pharaoni.
約瑟對法老說:「法老的夢乃是一個。上帝已將所要做的事指示法老了。
Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dream of Pharaoh is one. What God is about to do he has declared to Pharaoh.
41:26
Septem boves pulchrae, et septem spicae plenae, septem ubertatis anni sunt : eamdemque vim somnii comprehendunt.
七隻好母牛是七年,七個好穗子也是七年;這夢乃是一個。
The seven good cattle are seven years; and the seven good heads of grain are seven years. The dream is one.
41:27
Septem quoque boves tenues atque macilentae, quae ascenderunt post eas, et septem spicae tenues, et vento urente percussae, septem anni venturae sunt famis.
那隨後上來的七隻又乾瘦又醜陋的母牛是七年,那七個虛空、被東風吹焦的穗子也是七年,都是七個荒年。
The seven thin and ugly cattle that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty heads of grain blasted with the east wind; they will be seven years of famine.
41:28
Qui hoc ordine complebuntur :
這就是我對法老所說,上帝已將所要做的事顯明給法老了。
That is the thing which I have spoken to Pharaoh. God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.
41:29
ecce septem anni venient fertilitatis magnae in universa terra Aegypti,
埃及遍地必來七個大豐年,
Behold, seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt are coming.
41:30
quos sequentur septem anni alii tantae sterilitatis, ut oblivioni tradatur cuncta retro abundantia : consumptura est enim fames omnem terram,
隨後又要來七個荒年,甚至在埃及地都忘了先前的豐收,全地必被饑荒所滅。
Seven years of famine will arise after them, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt. The famine will consume the land,
41:31
et ubertatis magnitudinem perditura est inopiae magnitudo.
因那以後的饑荒甚大,便不覺得先前的豐收了。
and the plenty will not be known in the land by reason of that famine which follows; for it will be very grievous.
41:32
Quod autem vidisti secundo ad eamdem rem pertinens somnium : firmitatis indicium est, eo quod fiat sermo Dei, et velocius impleatur.
至於法老兩回做夢,是因上帝命定這事,而且必速速成就。
The dream was doubled to Pharaoh, because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
41:33
Nunc ergo provideat rex virum sapientem et industrium, et praeficiat eum terrae Aegypti :
所以,法老當揀選一個有聰明有智慧的人,派他治理埃及地。
“Now therefore let Pharaoh look for a discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt.
41:34
qui constituat praepositos per cunctas regiones : et quintam partem fructuum per septem annos fertilitatis,
法老當這樣行,又派官員管理這地。當七個豐年的時候,征收埃及地的五分之一,
Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt’s produce in the seven plenteous years.
41:35
qui jam nunc futuri sunt, congreget in horrea : et omne frumentum sub Pharaonis potestate condatur, serveturque in urbibus.
叫他們把將來豐年一切的糧食聚斂起來,積蓄五穀,收存在各城裏做食物,歸於法老的手下。
Let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and store grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.
41:36
Et praeparetur futurae septem annorum fami, quae oppressura est Aegyptum, et non consumetur terra inopia.
所積蓄的糧食可以防備埃及地將來的七個荒年,免得這地被饑荒所滅。」
The food will be to supply the land against the seven years of famine, which will be in the land of Egypt; so that the land will not perish through the famine.”
41:37
Placuit Pharaoni consilium et cunctis ministris ejus :
法老和他一切臣僕都以這事為妙。
The thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
41:38
locutusque est ad eos : Num invenire poterimus talem virum, qui spiritu Dei plenus sit ?
法老對臣僕說:「像這樣的人,有上帝的靈在他裏頭,我們豈能找得着呢?」
Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?”
41:39
Dixit ergo ad Joseph : Quia ostendit tibi Deus omnia quae locutus es, numquid sapientiorem et consimilem tui invenire potero ?
法老對約瑟說:「上帝既將這事都指示你,可見沒有人像你這樣有聰明有智慧。
Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Because God has shown you all of this, there is no one so discreet and wise as you.
41:40
Tu eris super domum meam, et ad tui oris imperium cunctus populus obediet : uno tantum regni solio te praecedam.
你可以掌管我的家;我的民都必聽從你的話。惟獨在寶座上我比你大。」
You shall be over my house. All my people will be ruled according to your word. Only in the throne I will be greater than you.”
41:41
Dixitque rursus Pharao ad Joseph : Ecce, constitui te super universam terram Aegypti.
法老又對約瑟說:「我派你治理埃及全地。」
Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Behold, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”
41:42
Tulitque annulum de manu sua, et dedit eum in manu ejus : vestivitque eum stola byssina, et collo torquem auream circumposuit.
法老就摘下手上打印的戒指,戴在約瑟的手上,給他穿上細麻衣,把金鍊戴在他的頸項上,
Pharaoh took off his signet ring from his hand, and put it on Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in robes of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck.
41:43
Fecitque eum ascendere super currum suum secundum, clamante praecone, ut omnes coram eo genu flecterent, et praepositum esse scirent universae terrae Aegypti.
又叫約瑟坐他的副車,喝道的在前呼叫說:「跪下。」這樣,法老派他治理埃及全地。
He made him ride in the second chariot which he had. They cried before him, “Bow the knee!” He set him over all the land of Egypt.
41:44
Dixit quoque rex ad Joseph : Ego sum Pharao : absque tuo imperio non movebit quisquam manum aut pedem in omni terra Aegypti.
法老對約瑟說:「我是法老,在埃及全地,若沒有你的命令,不許人擅自辦事 。」
Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh. Without you, no man shall lift up his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt.”
41:45
Vertitque nomen ejus, et vocavit eum, lingua aegyptiaca, Salvatorem mundi. Deditque illi uxorem Aseneth filiam Putiphare sacerdotis Heliopoleos. Egressus est itaque Joseph ad terram Aegypti
法老賜名給約瑟,叫撒發那忒‧巴內亞,又將安城的祭司波提非拉的女兒亞西納給他為妻。約瑟就出去巡行埃及地。
Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphenath-Paneah. He gave him Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On as a wife. Joseph went out over the land of Egypt.
41:46
(triginta autem annorum erat quando stetit in conspectu regis Pharaonis), et circuivit omnes regiones Aegypti.
約瑟見埃及王法老的時候年三十歲。他從法老面前出去,遍行埃及全地。
Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.
41:47
Venitque fertilitas septem annorum : et in manipulos redactae segetes congregatae sunt in horrea Aegypti.
七個豐年之內,地的出產極豐極盛 ,
In the seven plenteous years the earth produced abundantly.
41:48
Omnis etiam frugum abundantia in singulis urbibus condita est.
約瑟聚斂埃及地七個豐年一切的糧食,把糧食積存在各城裏;各城周圍田地的糧食都積存在本城裏。
He gathered up all the food of the seven years which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities. He stored food in each city from the fields around that city.
41:49
Tantaque fuit abundantia tritici, ut arenae maris coaequaretur, et copia mensuram excederet.
約瑟積蓄五穀甚多,如同海邊的沙,無法計算,因為穀不可勝數。
Joseph laid up grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he stopped counting, for it was without number.
41:50
Nati sunt autem Joseph filii duo antequam veniret fames : quos peperit ei Aseneth filia Putiphare sacerdotis Heliopoleos.
荒年未到以前,安城的祭司波提非拉的女兒亞西納給約瑟生了兩個兒子。
To Joseph were born two sons before the year of famine came, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, bore to him.
41:51
Vocavitque nomen primogeniti Manasses, dicens : Oblivisci me fecit Deus omnium laborum meorum, et domus patris mei.
約瑟給長子起名叫瑪拿西 ,因為他說:「上帝使我忘了一切的困苦和我父的全家。」
Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh, “For”, he said, “God has made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.”
41:52
Nomen quoque secundi appellavit Ephraim, dicens : Crescere me fecit Deus in terra paupertatis meae.
他給次子起名叫以法蓮 ,因為他說:「上帝使我在受苦的地方昌盛。」
The name of the second, he called Ephraim: “For God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.”
41:53
Igitur transactis septem ubertatis annis, qui fuerant in Aegypto,
埃及地的七個豐年一完,
The seven years of plenty, that were in the land of Egypt, came to an end.
41:54
coeperunt venire septem anni inopiae, quos praedixerat Joseph : et in universo orbe fames praevaluit, in cuncta autem terra Aegypti panis erat.
七個荒年就來了。正如約瑟所說的,各地都有饑荒;惟獨埃及全地有糧食。
The seven years of famine began to come, just as Joseph had said. There was famine in all lands, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.
41:55
Qua esuriente, clamavit populus ad Pharaonem, alimenta petens. Quibus ille respondit : Ite ad Joseph : et quidquid ipse vobis dixerit, facite.
及至埃及全地有了饑荒,眾民向法老哀求糧食,法老對他們說:「你們往約瑟那裏去,凡他所說的,你們都要做。」
When all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread, and Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph. What he says to you, do.”
41:56
Crescebat autem quotidie fames in omni terra : aperuitque Joseph universa horrea, et vendebat Aegyptiis : nam et illos oppresserat fames.
當時饑荒遍滿天下,約瑟開了各處的倉,糶糧給埃及人;在埃及地饑荒甚大。
The famine was over all the surface of the earth. Joseph opened all the store houses, and sold to the Egyptians. The famine was severe in the land of Egypt.
41:57
Omnesque provinciae veniebant in Aegyptum, ut emerent escas, et malum inopiae temperarent.
各地的人都往埃及去,到約瑟那裏糴糧,因為天下的饑荒甚大。
All countries came into Egypt, to Joseph, to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all the earth.
