14:1
ዴግንዋ ለተፋቅሮ ወተቃሕዎ ዘመንፈስ ከመ ትትነበዩ ።
Follow after love and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
你們要追求愛，也要切慕屬靈的恩賜，其中更要羨慕的，是作先知講道 。
14:2
እስመ ዘይነብብ በነገረ በሐውርት አኮ ለሰብእ ዘይነብብ ዘእንበለ ለእግዚአብሔር እስመ አልቦ ዘይሰምዖ ዘይነብብ ዳእሙ በመንፈስ ዘኅቡእ ይትናገር ።
For he who speaks in another language speaks not to men, but to God, for no one understands, but in the Spirit he speaks mysteries.
那說方言的，原不是對人說，乃是對上帝說，因為沒有人聽出來。然而，他在心靈裏卻是講說各樣的奧祕。
14:3
ወዘሰ ይትኔበይ ለሰብእ ይነብብ በዘይጸንዕ ወበዘይትፌሣሕ ወበዘይትናዘዝ ።
But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, exhortation, and consolation.
但作先知講道的，是對人說，要造就、安慰、勸勉人。
14:4
ወዘሰ ይነብብ በነገረ በሐውርት ርእሶ የሐንጽ ወዘሰ ይትኔበይ ቤተ ክርስቲያን የሐንጽ ።
He who speaks in another language edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the assembly.
說方言的，是造就自己；作先知講道的，乃是造就教會。
14:5
ወእፈቅድ ትንብቡ በነገረ በሐውርት ወዓዲ ፈድፋደ ከመ ትትነበዩ እስመ የዐቢ ወይኄይስ ዘይትኔበይ እምዘ ይነብብ በነገረ በሐውርት ዘእንበለ ፍካሬ ወለእመሰ ይተረጕም የሐንጽ ሕዝበ ።
Now I desire to have you all speak with other languages, but even more that you would prophesy. For he is greater who prophesies than he who speaks with other languages, unless he interprets, that the assembly may be built up.
我願意你們都說方言，更願意你們作先知講道；因為說方言的，若不翻出來，使教會被造就，那作先知講道的，就比他強了。
14:6
ወይእዜኒ አኀዊነ አመ መጻእኩ ኀቤክሙ ወነበብኩክሙ በነገረ በሐውርት ዘኢተአምርዎ አየ በቍዔተ ዘበቋዕኩክሙ ለእመ ኢተናገርኩክሙ ክሡተ ወገሃደ አው ዘጥበብ አው ዘተነብዮ አው ዘትምህርት ።
But now, brothers, if I come to you speaking with other languages, what would I profit you unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophesying, or of teaching?
弟兄們，我到你們那裏去，若只說方言，不用啟示，或知識，或預言，或教訓，給你們講解，我與你們有甚麼益處呢？
14:7
ወውስተ ዓለምኒ ግብር ዘአልቦ ነፍስ ወይሁብ ቃሎ ከመ ንዋየ ተውኔት ወመሰንቆ ወእመሰ በትእምርት ኢነቀዉ ፥ ወኢነበቡ መኑ የአምር ዘይብል መሰንቆሁኒ ወእንዚራሁኒ ።
Even lifeless things that make a sound, whether pipe or harp, if they didn’t give a distinction in the sounds, how would it be known what is piped or harped?
就是那有聲無氣的物，或簫，或琴，若發出來的聲音沒有分別，怎能知道所吹所彈的是甚麼呢？
14:8
ወዘሂ ይነፍኅ ቀርነ ለእመ በትእምርት ዘይትዐወቅ ኢነፍኀ መኑ ይትረሰይ ለቀትል ።
For if the trumpet gave an uncertain sound, who would prepare himself for war?
若吹無定的號聲，誰能預備打仗呢？
14:9
ከማሁ አንትሙሂ ለእመ ተናገርክሙ በነገረ በሐውርት ወኢተርጐምክሙ ዘንተ ገሃደ መኑ የአምር ዘትብሉ ወዘትትናገሩ ትከውኑ ከመ ዘምስለ ነፋስ ትትናገሩ ።
So also you, unless you uttered by the tongue words easy to understand, how would it be known what is spoken? For you would be speaking into the air.
你們也是如此。舌頭若不說容易明白的話，怎能知道所說的是甚麼呢？這就是向空說話了。
14:10
ወውስተ ዓለም ብዙኅ አሕዛብ ወዘዘ ዚኣሆሙ ቃሎሙ ወተስናኖሙ ወኵሉ ይነብብ በነገረ ብሔሩ ።
There are, it may be, so many kinds of languages in the world, and none of them is without meaning.
世上的聲音，或者甚多，卻沒有一樣是無意思的。
14:11
ወለእመ ኢያእመርኩ እንከ ፍካሬሁ ለነገር ወኀይለ ቃሉ አነ እከውኖ ከመ በሃም ለዘይትናገረኒ ወውእቱኒ ዘይትናገረኒ ከመ ዘይዘነግዕ ይመስለኒ ።
If then I don’t know the meaning of the language, I would be to him who speaks a foreigner, and he who speaks would be a foreigner to me.
我若不明白那聲音的意思，這說話的人必以我為化外之人，我也以他為化外之人。
14:12
ከማሁኬ አንትሙኒ ተቃሐዉ ለዘበመንፈስ ኅሡ ከመ ትብዝኁ በዘይትሐነጽ ሕዝብ ።
So also you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, seek that you may abound to the building up of the assembly.
你們也是如此，既是切慕屬靈的恩賜，就當求多得造就教會的恩賜。
14:13
ወዘሂ ይነብብ በነገረ በሐውርት ለይጸሊ ከመ ይክሀል ተርጕሞቶ ሎቱ ።
Therefore let him who speaks in another language pray that he may interpret.
所以那說方言的，就當求着能翻出來。
14:14
ወእመሰ እጼሊ በነገረ በሐውርት መንፈስየ ዳእሙ ይጼሊ ወልብየሰ ዕራቁ ውእቱ ።
For if I pray in another language, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.
我若用方言禱告，是我的靈禱告，但我的悟性沒有果效。
14:15
ምንተኑ እንከ እገብር እጼሊ በመንፈስየ ወእስእል በልብየኒ ወእዜምር በመንፈስየ ወእዜምር በልብየኒ ለርእስየኒ ወለቢጽየኒ ።
What should I do? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
這卻怎麼樣呢？我要用靈禱告，也要用悟性禱告；我要用靈歌唱，也要用悟性歌唱。
14:16
እስመ ለእመ ተአኵት አንተ በመንፈስ ዝኩ ዘይቀውም የዋህ እፎ ይብል አማን ላዕለ አእኵቶትከ ለከ እስመ ኢየአምር ዘትብል ወዘከመ ተአኵት ።
Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unlearned say the “Amen” at your giving of thanks, seeing he doesn’t know what you say?
不然，你用靈祝謝，那在座不通方言的人，既然不明白你的話，怎能在你感謝的時候說「阿們」呢？
14:17
ናሁ አንተሰ ሠናየ ተአኵት ለዝክቱ እፎ እንከ ይትሐነጽ ልቡ እስመ የዋህ ።
For you most certainly give thanks well, but the other person is not built up.
你感謝的固然是好，無奈不能造就別人。
14:18
ወአአኵቶ ለእግዚአብሔር እስመ እነብብ በነገረ በሐውርት ፈድፋደ እምኵልክሙ ።
I thank my God, I speak with other languages more than you all.
我感謝上帝，我說方言比你們眾人還多。
14:19
ወባሕቱ በቤተ ክርስቲያን እፈቅድ ኀምስተ ቃላተ እንግር በልብየ ከመ ለባዕዳንሂ እምሀር እስመ ይኄይስ እምአእላፍ ቃል በነገረ በሐውርት ።
However, in the assembly I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in another language.
但在教會中，寧可用悟性說五句教導人的話，強如說萬句方言。
14:20
አኀዊነ ኢትእበዱ ወኢትስሐቱ ምክረ ወኢትኩኑ ከመ ሕፃናት ወባሕቱ ኩኑ ከመ ሕፃናት እምእኩይ ወፍጹማነ ኩኑ በአእምሮ ።
Brothers, don’t be children in thoughts, yet in malice be babies, but in thoughts be mature.
弟兄們，在心志上不要作小孩子。然而，在惡事上要作嬰孩，在心志上總要作大人。
14:21
ወበውስተ ኦሪትኒ ይብል «በካልእ ልሳን ወበካልእ ከናፍር እትናገሮሙ ለዝ ሕዝብ ወምስለ ዝኒ ኢሰምዑኒ ይቤ እግዚአብሔር ።»
In the law it is written, “By men of strange languages and by the lips of strangers I will speak to this people. They won’t even listen to me that way, says the Lord.”
律法上記着： 主說：我要用外邦人的舌頭 和外邦人的嘴唇向這百姓說話； 雖然如此， 他們還是不聽從我。
14:22
ወይእዜኒ ነገረ በሐውርትሰ ለትእምርት ውእቱ ለእለ ኢየአምኑ ወአኮ ለእለ የአምኑ ወተነብዮሰ ለእለ የአምኑ ወአኮ ለእለ ኢየአምኑ ።
Therefore other languages are for a sign, not to those who believe, but to the unbelieving; but prophesying is for a sign, not to the unbelieving, but to those who believe.
這樣看來，說方言不是為信的人作證據，乃是為不信的人；作先知講道不是為不信的人作證據，乃是為信的人。
14:23
ወለእመኒ ተጋብኡ ኵሎሙ ሕዝብ ኅቡረ ወነበቡ ኵሎሙ በነገረ በሐውርት ወመጽኡ አብዳን እለ ኢየአምኑ አኮኑ የአብዱ ይቤልዎሙ ።
If therefore the whole assembly is assembled together and all speak with other languages, and unlearned or unbelieving people come in, won’t they say that you are crazy?
所以，全教會聚在一處的時候，若都說方言，偶然有不通方言的，或是不信的人進來，豈不說你們癲狂了嗎？
14:24
ወእመሰ ኵሎሙ ይትኔበዩ ወመጽኡ አብዳን እለ ኢየአምኑ አኮኑ ኵሎሙ ይዛለፍዎሙ ወኵሎሙ ያስተኃፍርዎሙ ።
But if all prophesy, and someone unbelieving or unlearned comes in, he is reproved by all, and he is judged by all.
若都作先知講道，偶然有不信的，或是不通方言的人進來，就被眾人勸醒，被眾人審明，
14:25
ወይከሥቱ ዘየኀብኡ ውስተ ልቦሙ ወእምዝ ይገብእ ወይኔስሕ ወይሰግድ ወይገኒ ለእግዚአብሔር ወይነግር ከመ በአማን ሀሎ እግዚአብሔር ምስሌሆሙ ።
And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed. So he will fall down on his face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed.
他心裏的隱情顯露出來，就必將臉伏地，敬拜上帝，說：「上帝真是在你們中間了。」
14:26
ወይእዜኒ አኀዊነ ሶበ ትትጋብኡ ኵልክሙ ብክሙ መዝሙር ወብክሙ ትምህርት ዘከሠተ አበይኖ ዘነገረ በሐውርት ወዘምድራሳት ወኵሎ በዘትትሐነጹ ግበሩ ለበቍዔት ።
What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, or has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up.
弟兄們，這卻怎麼樣呢？你們聚會的時候，各人或有詩歌，或有教訓，或有啟示，或有方言，或有翻出來的話，凡事都當造就人。
14:27
ወእመኒ ቦ ዘይነብብ በነገረ በሐውርት ለይትናገሩ በበ ክልኤቱ ወበበ ሠለስቱ ዝኒ ለእመ በዝኀ ለይትናገሩ በበ አሐዱ ወይፈክር ሎቱ ካልእ ።
If any man speaks in another language, let there be two, or at the most three, and in turn; and let one interpret.
若有說方言的，只好兩個人，至多三個人，且要輪流着說，也要一個人翻出來。
14:28
ወእመሰ አልቦ ዘይተረጕም ለያርምም በቤተ ክርስቲያን ዝኩ ዘይትናገር በነገረ በሐውርት ወይትናገር በዘማእከሌሁ ወማእከለ እግዚአብሔር ።
But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in the assembly, and let him speak to himself and to God.
若沒有人翻，就當在會中閉口，只對自己和上帝說就是了。
14:29
ወነቢያትኒ ይትናገሩ በበ ክልኤቱ ወበበ ሠለስቱ ከመ ይትዐወቅ ለቤተ ክርስቲያን ቃሎሙ ።
Let two or three of the prophets speak, and let the others discern.
至於作先知講道的，只好兩個人或是三個人，其餘的就當慎思明辨。
14:30
ወእመሰ ቦ ዘአስተርአዮ ወተከሥተ ሎቱ እንዘ ንቡር ለያርምም ቀዳማዊ ።
But if a revelation is made to another sitting by, let the first keep silent.
若旁邊坐着的得了啟示，那先說話的就當閉口不言。
14:31
እስመ ይትከሀለክሙ ትትነበዩ ኵልክሙ በበ አሐዱ ከመ ኵሉ ይትመሀር ወከመ ኵሉ ይትፈሣሕ ወይጽናዕ ።
For you all can prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be exhorted.
因為你們都可以一個一個地作先知講道，叫眾人學道理，叫眾人得勸勉。
14:32
እስመ መንፈሰ ነቢያት ይትኤዘዝ ለነቢያት ።
The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets,
先知的靈原是順服先知的；
14:33
እስመ ኢኮነ እግዚአብሔር አምላከ ሀከክ ዘእንበለ አምላከ ሰላም በከመ ይትገበር በኵሉ ቤተ ክርስቲያኖሙ ለቅዱሳን ።
for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the saints.
因為上帝不是叫人混亂，乃是叫人安靜。
14:34
ወአንስትኒ ለያርምማ በቤተ ክርስቲያን እስመ ኢእዙዝ ይትናገራ ዘእንበለ ከመ ይትአዘዛ እስመ ከማሁ ይቤ ኦሪት ።
Let the wives be quiet in the assemblies, for it has not been permitted for them to be talking except in submission, as the law also says,
婦女在會中要閉口不言，像在聖徒的眾教會一樣，因為不准她們說話。她們總要順服，正如律法所說的。
14:35
ወእመሰ ይፈቅዳ ይትመሀራ በአብያቲሆን እምአምታቲሆን ይሰአላ እስመ ኀሣር ውእቱ ለብእሲት ተናገሮ በቤተ ክርስቲያን ።
if they desire to learn anything. “Let them ask their own husbands at home, for it is shameful for a wife to be talking in the assembly.”
她們若要學甚麼，可以在家裏問自己的丈夫，因為婦女在會中說話原是可恥的。
14:36
እምኀቤክሙኑ ዳእሙ ወፅአ ቃለ እግዚአብሔር ወኀበ ባሕቲትክሙኑ በጽሐ ቃለ እግዚአብሔር ።
What!? Was it from you that the word of God went out? Or did it come to you alone?
上帝的道理豈是從你們出來嗎？豈是單臨到你們嗎？
14:37
ወእመቦ ዘይብል ርእሶ ከመ ነቢይ ውእቱ አው ከመ ዘመንፈስ ቅዱስ ላዕሌሁ ያእምር ዘንተ ዘጸሐፍኩ ለክሙ እስመ ትእዛዘ እግዚአብሔር ውእቱ ።
If any man thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize the things which I write to you, that they are the commandment of the Lord.
若有人以為自己是先知，或是屬靈的，就該知道，我所寫給你們的是主的命令。
14:38
ወዘሰ ኢየአምር ኢየአምሮ ።
But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.
若有不知道的，就由他不知道吧！
14:39
ወይእዜኒ አኀዊነ ተቃሐዉ ለተነብዮ ወለዘኒ ይነብብ በነገረ በሐውርት ኢትክልእዎ ።
Therefore, brothers, desire earnestly to prophesy, and don’t forbid speaking with other languages.
所以我弟兄們，你們要切慕作先知講道，也不要禁止說方言。
14:40
ወኵሎ ሥሩዐ ወዕቁመ ወውሱነ ግበሩ ።
Let all things be done decently and in order.
凡事都要規規矩矩地按着次序行。
