1:2
ወአመ፡ ሣልስት፡ ዕለት፡ መጽአ፡ ብእሲ፡ እምነ፡ ትዕይንት፡ እምውስተ፡ ሕዝቡ፡ ለሳኦል፡ ወሥጡጥ፡ አልባሲሁ፡ ወሐመድ፡ ዲበ፡ ርእሱ፡ ወሶበ፡ ቦአ፡ ኀበ፡ ዳዊት፡ ወድቀ፡ ዲበ፡ ምድር፡ ወሰገደ፡ ሎቱ።
on the third day, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul, with his clothes torn and earth on his head. When he came to David, he fell to the earth and showed respect.
第三天，有一人從掃羅的營裏出來，衣服撕裂，頭蒙灰塵，到大衛面前伏地叩拜。
1:3
ወይቤሎ፡ ዳዊት፡ እምአይቴ፡ መጻእከ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ እምነ፡ ትዕይንተ፡ እስራኤል፡ አነ፡ ዘድኅንኩ።
David said to him, “Where do you come from?” He said to him, “I have escaped out of the camp of Israel.”
大衛問他說：「你從哪裏來？」他說：「我從以色列的營裏逃來。」
1:4
ወይቤሎ፡ ዳዊት፡ ምንትኑ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ነገር፡ ዜንወኒ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ጐዩ፡ ሕዝብ፡ በውስተ፡ ቀትል፡ ወብዙኃን፡ እለ፡ ወድቁ፡ እምውስተ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ወሞተ፡ ሳኦልኒ፡ ወዮናታን፡ ወልዱ።
David said to him, “How did it go? Please tell me.” He answered, “The people have fled from the battle, and many of the people also have fallen and are dead. Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.”
大衛又問他說：「事情怎樣？請你告訴我。」他回答說：「百姓從陣上逃跑，也有許多人仆倒死亡；掃羅和他兒子約拿單也死了。」
1:5
ወይቤሎ፡ ዳዊት፡ ለውእቱ፡ ብእሲ፡ ዘዜነዎ፡ እፎ፡ አእመርከ፡ ከመ፡ ሞቱ፡ ሳኦል፡ ወዮናታን፡ ወልዱ።
David said to the young man who told him, “How do you know that Saul and Jonathan his son are dead?”
大衛問報信的少年人說：「你怎麼知道掃羅和他兒子約拿單死了呢？」
1:6
ወይቤሎ፡ ውእቱ፡ ብእሲ፡ ዘዜነዎ፡ ተቃተሉ፡ ወወድቁ፡ በደብረ፡ ጌላቡሔ፡ ወእምዝ፡ ረከብክዎ፡ ለሳኦል፡ ይሰክብ፡ በኲናቱ፡ ወእምዝ፡ በጽሕዎ፡ ሰረገላት፡ ወመስተጽዕናነ፡ አፍራስ።
The young man who told him said, “As I happened by chance on Mount Gilboa, behold, Saul was leaning on his spear; and behold, the chariots and the horsemen followed close behind him.
報信的少年人說：「我偶然到基利波山，看見掃羅伏在自己槍上，有戰車、馬兵緊緊地追他。
1:7
ወተመይጠ፡ ድኅሬሁ፡ ወርእየኒ፡ ወጸውዐኒ፡ ወእቤሎ፡ ነየ፡ አነ።
When he looked behind him, he saw me and called to me. I answered, ‘Here I am.’
他回頭看見我，就呼叫我。我說：『我在這裏。』
1:8
ወይቤለኒ፡ መኑ፡ አንተ፡ ወእቤሎ፡ ዐማሌቃዊ፡ አነ።
He said to me, ‘Who are you?’ I answered him, ‘I am an Amalekite.’
他問我說：『你是甚麼人？』我說：『我是亞瑪力人。』
1:9
ወይቤለኒ፡ ቁም፡ ላዕሌየ፡ ወቅትለኒ፡ እስመ፡ አኀዘተኒ፡ ጽልመት፡ እኪት፡ እስመ፡ ኢሀለወት፡ ላዕሌየ፡ ኵላ፡ ነፍስየ።
He said to me, ‘Please stand beside me, and kill me, for anguish has taken hold of me because my life lingers in me.’
他說：『請你來，將我殺死；因為痛苦抓住我，我的生命尚存。』
1:10
ወቆምኩ፡ ላሳሌሁ፡ ወቀተልክዎ፡ እስመ፡ አእመርኩ፡ ከመ፡ ኢየሐዩ፡ እምድኅረ፡ ወድቆ ፤ ወነሣእኩ፡ አከሊሎ፡ እምውስተ፡ ርእሱ፡ ወመዝግሐ፡ ልብሱ፡ ዘውስተ፡ መታክፍቱ፡ ወአምጻእኩ፡ ዝየ፡ ኀበ፡ እግዚእየ።
So I stood beside him and killed him, because I was sure that he could not live after he had fallen. I took the crown that was on his head and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them here to my lord.”
我準知他仆倒必不能活，就去將他殺死，把他頭上的冠冕、臂上的鐲子拿到我主這裏。」
1:11
ወሠጠጠ፡ አልባሲሁ፡ ዳዊት፡ ወኵሉ፡ ሰብእ፡ እለ፡ ምስሌሁ፡ ሠጠጡ፡ አልባሲሆሙ።
Then David took hold of his clothes and tore them; and all the men who were with him did likewise.
大衛就撕裂衣服，跟隨他的人也是如此，
1:12
ወበከይዎ፡ ወጾሙ፡ ወበከዩ፡ እስከ፡ ፍና፡ ሰርከ፡ [ላዕለ፡ ሳኦል፡] ወላዕለ፡ ዮናታን፡ ወላዕለ፡ ሕዝበ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወላዕለ፡ ቤተ፡ እስራኤል፡ እስመ፡ ሞቱ፡ በኲናት።
They mourned, wept, and fasted until evening for Saul and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of Yahweh, and for the house of Israel, because they had fallen by the sword.
而且悲哀哭號，禁食到晚上，是因掃羅和他兒子約拿單，並耶和華的民以色列家的人，倒在刀下。
1:13
ወይቤሎ፡ ዳዊት፡ ለውእቱ፡ ብእሲ፡ ዘዜነዎ፡ እምአይቴ፡ አንተ፡ ወይቤ፡ ወልደ፡ ብእሲ፡ ፈላሲ፡ ዐማሌቃዊ፡ አነ።
David said to the young man who told him, “Where are you from?” He answered, “I am the son of a foreigner, an Amalekite.”
大衛問報信的少年人說：「你是哪裏的人？」他說：「我是亞瑪力客人的兒子。」
1:14
ወይቤሎ፡ ዳዊት፡ እፎ፡ ኢፈራህከ፡ አውርዶ፡ እዴከ፡ ላዕለ፡ መሲሑ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ከመ፡ ትቅትሎ።
David said to him, “Why were you not afraid to stretch out your hand to destroy Yahweh’s anointed?”
大衛說：「你伸手殺害耶和華的受膏者，怎麼不畏懼呢？」
1:15
ወጸውዐ፡ ዳዊት፡ አሐደ፡ እምውስተ፡ ደቁ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ ሖር፡ ቅትሎ፡ ወቀተሎ።
David called one of the young men and said, “Go near, and cut him down!” He struck him so that he died.
大衛叫了一個少年人來，說：「你去殺他吧！」
1:16
ወይቤሎ፡ ዳዊት፡ ደምከ፡ ላዕለ፡ ርእስከ፡ ለይኩን፡ እስመ፡ አፉከ፡ ነበበ፡ ወትቤ፡ አነ፡ ቀተልክዎ፡ ለመሲሐ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
David said to him, “Your blood be on your head, for your mouth has testified against you, saying, ‘I have slain Yahweh’s anointed.’”
大衛對他說：「你流人血的罪歸到自己的頭上，因為你親口作見證說：『我殺了耶和華的受膏者。』」少年人就把他殺了。
1:17
ወበከዮሙ፡ ዳዊት፡ ለሳኦል፡ ወለዮናታን፡ ወልዱ።
David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son
大衛作哀歌，弔掃羅和他兒子約拿單，
1:18
ወይቤ፡ ከመ፡ ይምሀሮሙ፡ ለደቂቀ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወይቤ፡ ናሁ፡ ጽሑፍ፡ ውስተ፡ መጽሐ[ፈ]፡ ርቱዕ።
(and he commanded them to teach the children of Judah the song of the bow; behold, it is written in the book of Jashar):
且吩咐將這歌教導猶大人。這歌名叫「弓歌」，寫在雅煞珥書上。
1:19
[ትከል፡] ሐውልተ፡ እስራኤል፡ ላዕለ፡ ምውታን፡ ወበውሰተ፡ መልዕልተ፡ ቅቱላን፡ እፎኑመ፡ ወድቁ፡ ጽኑዓን።
“Your glory, Israel, was slain on your high places! How the mighty have fallen!
歌中說：以色列啊， 你尊榮者在山上被殺！ 大英雄何竟死亡！
1:20
ኢትንግሩ፡ ውስተ፡ ጌት፡ ወኢትዜንዉ፡ ውስተ፡ አናቅጸ፡ አስቀሎና፡ ከመ፡ ኢይትፈሥሓ፡ አዋልደ፡ ኢሎፍሊ፡ ወከመ፡ ኢይትሐሠያ፡ አዋልደ፡ ቄላፋን።
Don’t tell it in Gath. Don’t publish it in the streets of Ashkelon, lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.
不要在迦特報告； 不要在亞實基倫街上傳揚； 免得非利士的女子歡樂； 免得未受割禮之人的女子矜誇。
1:21
አድባረ፡ ጌላቡሔ፡ ኢይረድ፡ ጠል፡ ወዝናም፡ ላዕሌክን፡ ወአሕቃላተ፡ አጣርቆን፡ እስመ፡ በህየ፡ ኀስረ፡ አናቅጺሆሙ፡ ለኀያላን ፤ ንዋየ፡ ሐቅሉ፡ ለሳኦል፡ ኢተቀብአት፡ በቅብእ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ በደመ፡ ቅቱላን ፤
You mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain on you, and no fields of offerings; for there the shield of the mighty was defiled and cast away, the shield of Saul was not anointed with oil.
基利波山哪，願你那裏沒有雨露！ 願你田地無土產可作供物！ 因為英雄的盾牌在那裏被污丟棄； 掃羅的盾牌彷彿未曾抹油。
1:22
ቀስተ፡ ዮናታን፡ ኢገብአት፡ ድኅሬሃ፡ ዕራቃ፡ ወኲናቱሂ፡ ለሳኦል፡ ኢገብአት፡ ዕራቃ።
From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, Jonathan’s bow didn’t turn back. Saul’s sword didn’t return empty.
約拿單的弓箭非流敵人的血不退縮； 掃羅的刀劍非剖勇士的油不收回。
1:23
ሳኦል፡ ወዮናታን፡ ፍቁራን፡ ወሠናያን፡ እለ፡ ፍሉጥ፡ ሥኖሙ፡ በሕይወቶሙ፡ ወበሞቶሙኒ፡ ኢተሌለዩ ፤ ይቀሉ፡ እምነ፡ ንስር፡ ወይጸንዑ፡ እምነ፡ አንበሳ።
Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives. In their death, they were not divided. They were swifter than eagles. They were stronger than lions.
掃羅和約拿單－ 活時相悅相愛，死時也不分離 －他們比鷹更快，比獅子還強。
1:24
አዋልደ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ ብክያ፡ ላዕለ፡ ሳኦል፡ ዘአልባሰክን፡ ለየ፡ ምስለ፡ ሰርጕክን፡ ወአግበረ፡ ለክን፡ ሰርጐ፡ ወርቅ፡ ላዕለ፡ ዐራዝክን።
You daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you delicately in scarlet, who put ornaments of gold on your clothing.
以色列的女子啊，當為掃羅哭號！ 他曾使你們穿朱紅色的美衣， 使你們衣服有黃金的妝飾。
1:25
እፎ፡ ከመ፡ ወድቁ፡ ጽኑዓን፡ በመልዕልተ፡ ቅቱላን።
How the mighty have fallen in the middle of the battle! Jonathan was slain on your high places.
英雄何竟在陣上仆倒！ 約拿單何竟在山上被殺！
1:26
ሐመምኩ፡ ላዕሌከ፡ እኁየ፡ ዮናታን ሠናይ፡ አንተ፡ በኀቤየ፡ ወፈድፋደ፡ ጥቀ፡ በኀቤየ፡ ፍቅርከ፡ እምነ፡ ፍቅረ፡ አንስት።
I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan. You have been very pleasant to me. Your love to me was wonderful, surpassing the love of women.
我兄約拿單哪，我為你悲傷！ 我甚喜悅你！ 你向我發的愛情奇妙非常， 過於婦女的愛情。
1:27
እፎ፡ ወድቁ፡ ጽኑዓን፡ ወተሀጕሉ፡ ዕደወ፡ ቀትል።
How the mighty have fallen, and the weapons of war have perished!”
英雄何竟仆倒！ 戰具何竟滅沒！
