2:1
ወአመ፡ ዐሠርቱ፡ ወሰመንቱ፡ ዓመት፡ በሰብዑ፡ ለጽልመት፡ ቀዳማይ፡ ወርኅ፡ ኮነ፡ ነገር፡ በቤተ፡ ናቡከደነፆር፡ ንጉሠ፡ ፋርስ፡ ከመ፡ ይትበቀል፡ ለኵሉ፡ ምድር፡ በከመ፡ ይቤ።
In the eighteenth year, the twenty-second day of the first month, there was talk in the house of Nebuchadnezzar king of the Assyrians, that he should be avenged on all the land, even as he spoke.
在第十八年正月二十二日，亞述王尼布甲尼撒的宮中有話傳出，要照他所說的向全地報復。
2:2
ወጸውኦሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ መገብቱ፡ ወመላእክቲሁ፡ ወተናገረ፡ ምስሌሆሙ፡ ምሥጢረ፡ ምክሩ፡ ወነበበ፡ ኵሎ፡ እኪተ፡ ላዕለ፡ ምድር።
He called together all his servants and all his great men, and communicated with them his secret counsel, and concluded the afflicting of all the land out of his own mouth.
他召聚了一切臣僕和一切大臣，將他心中的密謀向他們陳明，又親口定意要使全地遭難。
2:3
ወእሙንቱ፡ አሕለቁ፡ ከመ፡ ይሥርውዎ፡ ለኵሉ፡ ዘሥላ፡ ላዕለ፡ እለ፡ ኢተደለዉ፡ በቃለ፡ አፉሁ።
They decreed to destroy all flesh which didn’t follow the word of his mouth.
他們就議決，凡不順從他口中命令的，都要除滅。
2:4
ወእምዝ፡ ሶበ፡ አኅለቀ፡ ምክሮ፡ ጸውዖ፡ ናቡከደነፆር፡ ንጉሠ፡ ፋርስ፡ ለሆሎፎርኒስ፡ መልአከ፡ ኃይሉ፡ ዘእምታሕቴሁ።
It came to pass, when he had ended his counsel, Nebuchadnezzar king of the Assyrians called Holofernes the chief captain of his army, which was next after himself, and said to him,
他定完了計謀，亞述王尼布甲尼撒就召了僅次於他、作軍隊元帥的何樂弗尼來，對他說：
2:5
ወይቤሎ፡ ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ዓቢይ፡ እግዚኦ፡ ኵሉ፡ ብሔር፡ ናሁ፡ ትወጽእ፡ እምቅድመ፡ ገጽየ፡ ወትነሥእ፡ ምስሌከ፡ ዕደወ፡ ምዕመናነ፡ በኃይሎሙ፡ አጋራውያን፡ ዐሠርተ፼፡ ወ፳፻ተ፡ ወመስተፅዕናነ፡ አፍራስ፡ ምስለ፡ አፍራሲሆሙ፡ ዐሠርተ፼፡ ወ፳፻ተ፡ ወሰብአ፡ ሐፅ፡ ዐሠርተ፼፡ ወ፳፻ተ።
“Thus says the great king, the lord of all the earth: Behold, you shall go out from my presence, and take with you men who trust in their strength, to one hundred twenty thousand footmen and twelve thousand horses with their riders.
「至大的王、全地的主如此說：看哪，你要從我面前出去，帶著倚靠己力的勇士，步兵十二萬，馬兵連同騎手一萬二千，
2:6
ወትወጽእ፡ እምኔየ፡ ውስተ፡ ኵላ፡ ምድር፡ እንተ፡ መንገለ፡ ዓረብ፡ እስመ፡ ዐበዩ፡ ተአዝዞ፡ ለቃለ፡ አፉየ።
And you shall go out against all the west country, because they disobeyed the commandment of my mouth.
去攻打西方的全地，因為他們違背了我口中的命令。
2:7
ወትሰብክ፡ ሎሙ፡ ያስተዳልዉ፡ ሊተ፡ ብሔረ፡ ወማየ፡ እስመ፡ እመጽእ፡ በመዓትየ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ፡ ወእከድን፡ ገጻ፡ ለምድር፡ በእግረ፡ ኃይልየ፡ ወእሬስዮሙ፡ ሕብልያ፡ ወበርበረ።
You shall declare to them that they should prepare earth and water, because I will go out in my wrath against them, and will cover the whole face of the earth with the feet of my army, and I will give them as plunder to them.
你要向他們宣告，叫他們預備土和水獻降，因為我必在烈怒中出去攻擊他們，用我軍兵的腳遮蓋全地的面，將他們交出來任人擄掠。
2:8
ወአብድንቲሆሙኒ፡ ይመልእ፡ ውስተ፡ ቈላቲሆሙ፡ ወውስተ፡ አፍላግ፡ ይመልዕ፡ አብድንቲሆሙ፡ ወበተከዚኒ።
Their slain will fill their valleys and brooks, and the river will be filled with their dead until it overflows.
他們被殺的必填滿他們的山谷，一切溪流和江河都必因他們的屍首漲溢。
2:9
ወእዘርዎሙ፡ ለፄዋሆሙ፡ እስከ፡ አጽናፈ፡ ምድር።
I will lead them captives to the utmost parts of all the earth.
我必把他們擄到全地的盡頭。
2:10
ወአንተሰ፡ ቅድም፡ ወንሣእ፡ ኵሎ፡ ደወሎሙ፡ ሊተ፡ ወያገብኡ፡ ርእሶሙ፡ ኀቤከ፡ ወዕቀቦሙ፡ ሊተ፡ እስከ፡ ዕለተ፡ እትቤቀሎሙ።
But you shall go forth, and take all their coasts for me first. If they will yield themselves to you, then you must reserve them for me until the day of their reproof.
你要出去，先為我攻取他們一切的境界。他們若向你投降，你就要把他們留給我，直到他們受懲罰的日子。
2:11
እስመ፡ ኢትምሕኮሙ፡ ዓይንከ፡ ለእለ፡ አጽረሩ፡ ከመ፡ ትቅትሎሙ፡ ወትበርብሮሙ፡ ውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ ምድርከ።
As for those who are disobedient, your eye shall not spare; but you shall give them up to be slain and to be plundered in all your land.
至於那些不順從的，你的眼不可顧惜，要把他們交出來，在你所到的全地任憑殺戮擄掠。
2:12
እስመ፡ ሕያው፡ አነ፡ ወጽኑዕ፡ መንግሥትየ፡ ከመ፡ እግበር፡ ዘንተ፡ በእዴየ፡ በከመ፡ ነበብኩ።
For as I live, and by the power of my kingdom, I have spoken, and I will do this with my hand.
我指著我的永生並我國度的權能起誓：我已說了，必親手成就這事。
2:13
ወአንተኒ፡ አልቦ፡ ዘተሐድግ፡ ወኢአሐተ፡ እምቃለ፡ እግዚእከ፡ አላ፡ ገቢረ፡ ግበር፡ በከመ፡ አዘዝኩከ፡ ወኢታጐንዲ፡ ገቢሮቶ።
Moreover, you shall not transgress anything of the commandments of your lord, but you shall surely accomplish them, as I have commanded you. You shall not defer to do them.”
你不可違揹你主一句命令，乃要照我所吩咐你的徹底成就，不可耽延去行。」
2:14
ወወፅአ፡ ሆሎፎርኒስ፡ እምቅድመ፡ እግዚኡ፡ ወጸውኦሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ ኃያላን፡ ወለኵሎሙ፡ መላእክት፡ ወሠራዊት፡ ወሊቃናተ፡ ኃይሉ፡ ወዘአሶር።
So Holofernes went out from the presence of his lord, and called all the governors, the captains, and officers of the army of Asshur.
何樂弗尼就從他主面前出去，召了亞述軍中一切的權貴、將領和官長，
2:15
ወኈለቆሙ፡ ለኅሩያን፡ ዕደው፡ መስተቃትላን፡ በከመ፡ ነበበ፡ እግዚኡ፡ አጋራውያን፡ ዐሠርቱ፡ ፼፡ ወ፳፻ት፡ ወሰብአ፡ ሐጽ፡ ዐሠርቱ፡ ፼፡ ወ፳፻ት።
He counted chosen men for the battle, as his lord had commanded him, to one hundred twenty thousand, with twelve thousand archers on horseback.
照他主所吩咐他的，數點出戰的精兵共十二萬，並弓箭手馬兵一萬二千。
2:16
ወአዘዞሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ ከመ፡ ይትቃትሉ፡ ወከመ፡ ይፃብዑ።
He arranged them as a great multitude is ordered for the war.
他照大軍出戰的規矩，把他們列隊編排。
2:17
ወነሥኡ፡ አግማለ፡ ወአዕዱገ፡ ወአብቅለ፡ ለስንቆሙ፡ ብዙኀ፡ ጥቀ፡ ወአባግዓ፡ ወአልሕምተ፡ ወአጣሌ፡ ለሲሳዮሙ፡ ዘአልቦ፡ ኍልቊ።
He took camels and asses and mules for their baggage, an exceedingly great multitude, and sheep and oxen and goats without number for their provision,
他取了極多的駱駝、驢和騾子馱運輜重，又取了無數的綿羊、牛和山羊作他們的糧食，
2:18
ወአስንቀ፡ ለኵሉ፡ ሰብኡ፡ ወለብዙኃን፡ ወርቀ፡ ወብሩረ፡ እምቤተ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ብዙኃ፡ ጥቀ።
and great store of rations for every man, and exceedingly much gold and silver out of the king’s house.
並為眾人預備了大量的口糧，又從王的庫房取了極多的金銀。
2:19
ወወፅአ፡ ውእቱ፡ ወኵሉ፡ ኃይሉ፡ ወጸብዐ፡ ቅድመ፡ እምንጉሥ፡ ናቡከደነፆር፡ ወከመ፡ ይክድን፡ ኵሎ፡ ገጸ፡ ምድር፡ መንገለ፡ ዓረብ፡ በሠረገላ፡ ወበአፍራስ፡ ወአጋርያን፡ ኅሩያን።
He went out, he and all his army, on their journey, to go before king Nebuchadnezzar, and to cover all the face of the earth westward with their chariots, horsemen, and chosen footmen.
於是他和他全軍出去前行，要在尼布甲尼撒王之前開路，用車輛、馬兵和精選的步兵遮蓋西方全地的面。
2:20
ወብዙኃን፡ እለ፡ ኀብሩ፡ ምስሌሆሙ፡ ከመ፡ አንበጣ፡ ወፅኡ፡ ምስሌሆሙ፡ ወከመ፡ ኆፃ፡ ባሕር፡ ወአልቦሙ፡ ኍልቊ፡ እምነ፡ ብዝኆሙ።
A great company of various nations went out with them like locusts, and like the sand of the earth. For they could not be counted by reason of their multitude.
還有許多混雜的人如蝗蟲般與他們一同出去，又如地上的沙；因他們人數眾多，無法計算。
2:21
ወወፅኡ፡ እምነ፡ ነነዌ፡ ምሕዋረ፡ ሠሉስ፡ ዕለት፡ ውስተ፡ ገጸ፡ ገዳም፡ ዘቤቄጤሌት፡ ወሖረ፡ እምነ፡ ቤቄጤሌት፡ ዘገቦ፡ ደብር፡ ዘመንገለ፡ ጸጋም፡ ዘመልዕልተ፡ ኬልቅያ።
And they departed out of Nineveh three days’ journey toward the plain of Bectileth, and encamped from Bectileth near the mountain which is at the left hand of the upper Cilicia.
他們從尼尼微出發，行了三天的路程，到了伯提勒平原的前面，從伯提勒安營，靠近上基利家左邊的山。
2:22
ወነሥአ፡ ኵሎ፡ ኃይሎ፡ አጋርያነ፡ ወሰብአ፡ አፍራስ፡ ወሠረገላቲሁ፡ ወሖረ፡ እምህየ፡ መንገለ፡ አድዋሊሆሙ።
And he took all his army, his footmen, horsemen, and chariots, and went away from there into the hill country,
何樂弗尼率領他全軍，就是步兵、馬兵和車輛，從那裡進入山地，
2:23
ወቀተሎሙ፡ ለፌድ፡ ወለሉድ፡ ወፄወዎሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ ደቂቀ፡ ሬስስ፡ ወለደቂቀ፡ እስማኤል፡ እለ፡ ውስተ፡ ገዳም፡ ዘመንገለ፡ ገጸ፡ አዜብ፡ ዘኤሌዎን።
and destroyed Put and Lud, and plundered all the children of Rasses and the children of Ishmael, which were along the wilderness to the south of the land of the Chellians.
攻破了弗和路德，又擄掠了拉西斯的眾子孫，以及在曠野迤南、基連地以南的以實瑪利人。
2:24
ወአደወ፡ ኤፍራጥስ፡ ወኃለፈ፡ እመስጴጦምያ፡ ወነሠተ፡ ኵሎ፡ አህጉሪሆሙ፡ ዓበይተ፡ ዘመልዕልተ፡ አህጉረ፡ አርባዐኔ፡ እስከ፡ በጽሐ፡ ኀበ፡ ብሔር።
And he went over Euphrates, and went through Mesopotamia, and broke down all the high cities that were upon the river Arbonai, until you come to the sea.
他渡過幼發拉底河，經過米所波大米，拆毀了亞伯倫溪旁一切高大的城邑，直到海邊。
2:25
ወረከበ፡ ደወለ፡ ቄልቅያ፡ ወቀተለ፡ ኵሉ፡ ፀሮ፡ ወሖረ፡ እስከ፡ ደወለ፡ ያፌት፡ ዘመንገለ፡ አዜብ፡ ዘገጸ፡ አረብ።
And he took possession of the borders of Cilicia, and killed all that resisted him, and came to the borders of Japheth, which were toward the south, opposite Arabia.
他佔據了基利家的境界，殺盡一切抵擋他的人，來到雅弗的境界，就是在亞拉伯對面以南的地方。
2:26
ወአገቶሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ ደቂቀ፡ ምድያም፡ ወማኅረከ፡ እንስሳሆሙ፡ ወአውዐየ፡ አብያቲሆሙ።
He surrounded all the children of Midian, and set their tents on fire, and plundered their sheepfolds.
他圍困了米甸的眾子孫，焚燒他們的帳棚，擄掠他們的羊圈。
2:27
ወወረደ፡ ውስተ፡ ገዳም፡ ዘደማስቆ፡ በጊዜ፡ ማዕረረ፡ ሥርናይ፡ ወአውዐየ፡ ኵሎ፡ ገራውሂሆሙ፡ ወአባግዒሆሙሰ፡ ወመራዕይሆሙ፡ አዘዘ፡ የሐብልዩ፡ ወነሠተ፡ አህጉሪሆሙ፡ ወደቂቆሙኒ፡ ነሥአ፡ ወቀተለ፡ ኵሎ፡ ወራዙቶሙ፡ በአፈ፡ ሐፂን፡ ወወድቀት፡ ፍርሃረ፡ ዚአሁ።
He went down into the plain of Damascus in the days of wheat harvest, and set all their fields on fire, and utterly destroyed their flocks and herds, and plundered their cities, laid their plains waste, and struck all their young men with the edge of the sword.
正值收割麥子的時候，他下到大馬士革的平原，焚燒他們一切的田地，使他們的羊羣牛羣盡都滅絕，擄掠他們的城邑，使他們的平原荒蕪，用刀殺盡他們一切的少年人。
2:28
ወድንጋፄ፡ ላዕለ፡ እለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ውስተ፡ ጰራልያ፡ ወእለ፡ ውስተ፡ ሲዶና፡ ወጢሮስ፡ ወኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ውስተ፡ ደማናሆን፡ ወእለ፡ ውስተ፡ አዛጦን፡ ወአስቀሎና፡ ፈርሁ፡ ጥቀ፡ እምኔሁ።
And the fear and the dread of him fell upon those who lived on the sea coast, upon those who were in Sidon and Tyre, those who lived in Sur and Ocina, and all who lived in Jemnaan. Those who lived in Azotus and Ascalon feared him exceedingly.
於是懼怕戰兢臨到一切住在沿海的人，就是在西頓和推羅的，以及住在書珥、阿基拿和一切住在耶米拿的；住在亞實突和亞實基倫的，也都極其懼怕他。
