Besides these, there are extant also many other letters of Dionysius, such as those against Sabellius to Ammon, bishop of the church at Bernice, and that to Telesphorus, and that to Euphranor, and again to Ammon and Euporus. He composed also four other treatises on the same subject, which he addressed to his namesake at Rome, Dionysius.
And besides these there are many other letters of his among us, and moreover lengthy discourses written in epistolary form, such as those On Nature, addressed to Timothy his boy, and that On Temptations, which also he dedicated to Euphranor.
In addition to these, writing also to Basilides, bishop of the parishes in the Pentapolis, he says that he himself had made an exposition of the beginning of Ecclesiastes; and he has left behind for us various letters addressed to this man also. So much for Dionysius. But now, after recording these things, come, let us hand down to those who come after the character of our own generation, what manner of generation it was.
